Description

Labyrinth (pure parfum oil). A mystical encounter with the underworld; Labyrinth is a shivery place of dark, cavernous echoes from the faery realms of earth’s mysteries and natural wonders. Labyrinth is a heavyweight Oriental that features an aromatic array of fragrant intensities including bitter orange, amber accord, myrrh, frankincense, rose otto, Eastern spices accord, Atlas cedarwood and Mysore sandalwood. A night time fragrance, Labyrinth is intensely evocative of a different time and a different world, it is both a lion roaring into the twilight… and the whisper of ancestral footsteps that accompany us through the shifting sands of life. Marvelous for those who meditate, for seekers of deep pools of inner reflection and particularly great those who yearn for the veils to part…” – a note from the brand.

Labyrinth by Teone Reinthal Natural Perfume is a Oriental fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Labyrinth was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Teone Reinthal. The fragrance features bitter orange, amber, olibanum, myrrh, rose oil, spices, atlas cedar and sandalwood.

    Labyrinth is strong and wonderful.
(I said to my own heart, Welcome to Labyrinth!) If you enter the mysterious scent world, maybe you wouldn’t be able to come out of this deep scent.
I open the the lid of the bottle, I felt very spicy scent. In addition, when I put the liquid on my skin, the bitter orange overlaps with the heavy Myrrh, and the amber invited me deeply into the dark. Spicy and deep Myrrh and Amber increase imagination and make it an unrealistic dream. I would like to feel it more 🙂

A deeply smokey, resinous, dark and lightly spicy fragrance on a rich, mellowing amber accord. Myrrh and olibanum dominate the fragrance, but it is richly enhanced and tiered by some beautiful, clear, clean cut notes. Bitter orange blooms, intense and densely fragrant as the perfume grows, and later cedar and rose beautifully enhance as well as create undulating layers of depth and richness that ebb and flow, yet are woven with a deeply intricate intimacy, like the threads of ancient fabrics that keep the secrets of old.
This is a perfect fragrance for reclusive contemplation, or if you want to wear deeply luscious, richly opulent orientals in the winter time. Beautifully warm, with amazing longevity and very comfortable, cozy sillage. Very worthy of owning.

Don’t get this fragrance if you’re not prepared to ascend to pharaonic levels of perfume intensity and artistry. Don’t get this fragrance if you’re not ready to accept perfume as medicine, therapy and tool. Labyrinth has deep dark layers that uncoil and rise like a serpent. It expresses and makes tangible the profundity of our embodied experience. Don’t get this fragrance if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
Atlas cedarwood, Mysore sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh and Teone’s unique amber base (which I’m guessing includes one or more of the following: labdanum, benzoin, patchouli). You should know what you’re getting yourself into by looking at the notes. I’ve been slathering Labyrinth a lot recently and my only surprise is at the unexpected airiness of it. For a perfume that pulls out the big heavy guns, it is not “difficult” nor overwhelming. It levitates, its layers separating and suspending in chromatographic animation around the body as I move. This fragrance loves to be outdoors, where there is space for it to unfurl its technicolor display. But I do enjoy it at home too, where it is capable of being calming, unintrusive and protective. But you’ve been warned. You don’t wear this perfume. It works with you as a co-equal. It will wear you just as much.
