Wow! Definitely smells, well, fecal upon application! But I find within a half hour or so, it settles down into an enigmatic musk. I haven’t received the number of compliments I get when wearing Kiehl’s Musk, but that said, I’ve noticed people physically moving closer into my personal space when speaking with me. That’s the point! You want a fragrance to draw people to you. Not just wear perfume for the sake of it. This musk becomes your scent, like a pheromone. Personally I’d rather wear subtle or nothing (or very expensive Guerlain lol). Maybe all musks do that, but this one smells so precious and rare. The uber-refined people I work with would have no idea that it wasn’t from Bergdorfs. Can’t wait to try more from Ava Luxe!

This, to me, is an amplified version of ambergris tincture. Very fresh and complex yet round and subtle. Before I first smelled it I didn’t check the notes and thought I’d mistakenly been sent ambergris tincture. The quality of this extremely exceeds the price. I love it.

Sexy, smooth, animalic musk. Kama smells like it should cost much more than it does. Edp sprayed gives moderate to large sillage, perfume oil dabbed stays close to the skin. Longevity of both for me was excellent.

mpbrown…you can buy Ava Luxe perfumes at avaluxe.com and can buy samples of selected ones on surrendertochance.com. I haven’t personally tried any yet, but have read good things about her Number 23.

A less expensive alternative to Muscs Koublai Khan. Not as complicated, nuanced, or well-composed as MKK, but if you like animalic scents or REAL musk, this is a good choice. Lasting power is fairly decent, sillage is pretty much nonexistent (nose-to-wrist on this one).
