Thank goodness it’s not as horrifying as it sounded, although not too great either.. I was expecting a heady sweet jasmine like Lush Lust or Diptyque Essences Insensées ’15 with an extra dose of musk, but turned out it was only the “idea” of jasmine (some generic floral chemical) which is neither rich or indolic; the musk actually helped the airy floral accord stay grounded, with light “tobacco” smoke adding interest.

I had thought this may be just a variation of ELdO’s Jasmin et Cigarette; it isn’t. This is a straight up, very dirty, white floral. Indolic jasmine that reminds me of Lush Lust. This is strengthened by musk that is actually the overpowering note on my skin. Animal musk that drifts over to urine in wafts. I’d really be interested in a jasmine/tobacco blend that doesn’t use musk as a base note. No tobacco to my nose. Projects like mad, probably because I wasn’t enjoying it. Lasted longer than I wanted it to (about 6 hours).
