Description

Givenchy Jardin Precieux is a limited edition exclusively available at airports in 2015. The fragrance is inspired by French gardens, floral notes and Marie-Antoinette tea. It apparently reflects both aristocratic elegance and love of life.

The gentle floral – fruity composition starts with juicy accords of pear that lead to the floral heart of rose, jasmine, tea and peach. The fragrance ends with the base of woody notes and musk.

The face of the campaign shot by Ruven Afanador is Polish model Daga Ziober. The fragrance is available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

I ignored this simplistic bottle and gave it a chance. Despite the good openning and the evolution the very end smells like plastic, and I do not have other word to describe that weird smell on my wrist.

The tea doesn’t stay very long. It opens with a fresh clean summery vibe which quickly turns into what I can only describe as that dull Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers/CK Escape sort of note that feels cheap (I wish I could describe it better, single it out properly and avoid stuff with it in!)and then it just becomes soapy.

I don’t know why I bought it. Reminds me of Le Secret, but quite weaker.

Finally Iam glad I didnt buy it.. I was about to just have a bottle, because for the first spray it really smells good, fresh spring garden with pastel color young petals, but then, half hour later it settles down to a very sharp and so masculin after shave of a kind scent that hurts my nose. I don’t know why it is that difficult to avoid these men cologne smelling ingredients.. and also wonder what those are… So sad, because the opening is really nice.

This perfume opens with a delicate initial strawberry-like note (not listed) but it soon disappears to give way to some peony/rose/pear note.
Tea may also be sensed, but very softly. Nice, girly, flirty – worth trying before buying.

Very subtle floral scent, like a rose in a delicate, musky cloud. Stillage is very soft, more like a scented body balm. However, winter obviously is not a perfect season for any delicate scents.

This scent is barely there. I almost can’t sense it. Therefore, I can’t describe the notes. The scent is good, mildly sweet. I’m afraid buying such a weak scent would be waste of money. It has a sillage of a body spray.
I like that “barely there” scent, but I want perfume to be more outstanding.
It’s good for summer, if you like fresh and light body spray-like fragrances.

Reminds me very strongly of Kenzo Floralista and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cherry Blossom. Same clean, safe, generic scent.

The bottle shape certainly doesn’t try to compete with any other perfume bottles standing next to it, and the scent isn’t aggressive either. It reminds me very much of Peony L`Occitane, but not as harshly green–rosier, with a little not-quite-ripe peach at the dry down. I like it a lot and have been wearing it every day since I bought it. Makes jeans and t-shirt more ladylike. Because it fades quickly and then stays very close, you can wear it to work, and it will remind you of visiting the gardens at Schonbrunn Palace.

Not lnly the bottle is boring but the scent itself as well. Starts out as a blast of synthetic pear, peach and rose, quite sweet and fruity/berry. It dissapears very quickly and turns into a very light scent which they call office safe or inoffensive. A synthetic jasmine and wood with a light hint of rose. More sour than sweet. Very poor sillage (4 general sprays onto wrist), and very moderate lasting power.
Just “meh”…. there are much more interesting scents out there, with better quality and price tag. Givenchy could put more effort into scent itself than the advertising campaign or design of outer box.
Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.

Really!!! Not a Givenchy. Jardin Precioux with two only notes???
I didn’t tested it but the image and the description are not so appealing!!!

What a disappointing and pedestrian bottle…
