Description

One of the pillars of the current perfume line from Dior, J`Adore, gets a new edition in the spring of 2017 called J`Adore In Joy. The fragrance is announced as the scent of joy, love for life, instant fun and the exclamation of spring. It is said to be a daring fruity- floral with a salty taste.

In-house perfumer Francois Demachy adds an unexpected and unusual touch of salt to the warm floral composition, inspired by the natural phenomenon and finest gourmet salt “Fleur de Sel”. This salty accord in the top of the composition emphasizes the combination of white flowers that includes sambac jasmine, neroli, tuberose and ylang-ylang from Grasse. An accord of ripe peaches in the perfume’s base gives the whole composition a fruity touch.

J’adore In Joy comes in a renewed bottle with liquid gold-peach-colored sparkles that diffuse the light thanks to the convex bottom. The fragrance is available in bottles of 50 and 100 ml.

This is a great perfume during warm weather, between spring and summer. It’s a salty scent, carried by sweet florals. If you like Olympea by Paco Rabanne you’ll propably like this one too. It doesn’t remind me of the original Dior’s J’adore at all, for it’s completely different.

The salty definitely gives it a unique twist, I was guessing petitgrain or wheat. I smell citrus too but I guess it’s the peach. Not an aromatic peach this peach. Just adds a bit of tartness. Unique, pleasant but not bewitching to my nose.

salty white floral? sounds like a superb idea even though I could’ve not guessed it by smelling it.
So what do I smell? J’adore DNA in a fresher, less offensive way. To me the first notes is all about pears and plums (ok,let’s say peach) mixed with white flowers. The perfume get fluffier and more velvety as the time passes to the point that I can call it pure tuberose.
I don’t get any similarity between j’adore in joy and any of aforesaid fragrances, but just with older versions of j’adore.
I can imagine that many reviewers would not admire this new version, saying it’s too generic. to me, it wasn’t a wow either, but it is definitely nice and feminine.

Beautiful! This, along with L’Eau Cologne Florale are my two favorite J’Adore flankers. Like others, I also don’t find this fragrance similar to Womanity or Olympea, but to each their own. What I perceive is an updated version of the original J’Adore with a sheered out base, a more noticeable peach note and a salt-ginger impression added to it. I also think this fragrance smells much better in warm weather. I am a one-spray wearer, but even then people notice it and compliment me, which is always surprising. Happy sniffing!

I was given a sample of this and was very disappointed by this flanker.
I do not feel any similarities to ‘DKNY be Delicious’, ‘Olympea by Paco Rabanne’ or ‘Womanity by T. Mugler’.
To be honest I sensed only a hint of iris, but not of peach or of salt.
    Not my cup of tea.

I love love love it. I love it the same way I loved the original formula of J’adore. It smells so expensive. I hope they do not discontinue this one. It’s class. I don’t get any salt really just really deep sensuous wafts of elegance. Well done on this one Dior.

    J’Adore In Joy.
I see many comments about this fragrance that
if I had not tried it on my skin I would be
once again lost in “wrong comments” and Don’t even would want to try this on.
    No DKNY be Delicious.
    No Olympea by Paco Rabanne.
    No Womanity by T.Mugler.
No, no, no to so many others too.
This perfume is the classic J’adore without being the strong white flower hitter and with a vibe of peach that makes it like it’s colour: An afternoon when the sun is going down and you are on the beach.
I really hate the original J’adore, I have got it since it came out but all those formulations destroyed a very good perfume and made it a heady chemical soup IMHO.
However I want a small bottle of this while enjoing some melon on a Mediterranean beach with my friends waiting for the dark to hug us on a breezy summer day.

Salty note? Where? It’s more like shower gel or bath foam.

If Olympea and Be delicious had a baby.. this would be it.

First Dior did YSL’s Black Opium with Poison Girl, now here is Be Delicious by Dior. Beautifully done, gauzy, a more sophisticated, subtle and floral version of DKNY’s Be Delicious, pleasant and summery, smells as others have already said like fine (apple) shampoo with hints of the original J’Adore in its makeup (with hint of salt). That said, I wish Dior would bring some new classics that haven’t been done before, they do them so well and it’s time for a revolutionary and original classic from them, isn’t it?

  11. :

It has all of the sensations I love (cheapness: tobacco, fruit-forward, salt, unisex), but also the deep: it lasts 24 hours, it’s made with essentials oils and no toxins. Introducing the classy bombshell fragrance that will not only steal your heart, but keep it.
I wish I had invented this one.

  12. :

Dior has really been cheapening the quality of their fragrances in the past few years, while at the same time hiking up their prices. A capitalist dream ❤
The original J’Adore was a luminous white floral with just enough fruity, liqueur-like warmth to make it soar.
This thing is a thin peachy-salty concoction more akin to shampoo than fine fragrance, with only a glimpse of the original’s radiant self.
A fragrance like this should, in a sane world, be sold at Victoria’s Secret in a big, pink plastic bottle under the name “BEACHY PEACH”

I am in love with the delicate, peachy skinscent that opens this fragrance! I have been looking for a “salty” fragrance, and this was almost perfect: not completely overbearing like Paco Rabanne Olympéa, juicier and more interesting than Calvin Klein Reveal.
The sillage and longevity are just not there for me, however, even in hot weather. I’ve tested it a couple of times and while it initially smells wonderful, I can’t justify the price when it fades almost instantly on my skin.

First thing that I smelled upon spraying this perfume was tobacco. I am surprised that nobody else mentioned it here. After spraying it (not on myself but in the air), for a second there, I thought somebody who recently smoked walked by. Afterwards, the cigarette smell faded and I could start noticing the floral scent. I don’t care for elegant, refined smells but I just loved how that floral worked with my favorite leather jacket after applying it on myself. The mix of two gave me this very subtle, sultry smell which I just love. When I was in my very early twenty’s, my favorite scent was Versace bright crystal, Gucci rush. Fun, energetic, sexy smell. Now that I’m in my late 20’s, I appreciate scents that are heavier, more complex, more intense while also being fun, and bold. This perfume definitely does it for me!

Lovely happy feminine scent, after few hours smells similar to My Burberry EDT, which l also like!

  16. :

This would be signature scent worthy for me if only it didn’t have that salt note. I just can’t stand saltiness in fragrances (or food for that matter) and it actually makes me nauseous with the way it mixes with the sweet ylang-ylang and peach notes. This is the same reason I just can’t tolerate Olympea, even though I do like it, sans the salt note.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

A very “happy” fragrance for me. Definitely fits it’s name. I noticed it as “floral” first and then the peach mingles very nicely. Did not pick up on the “salt” note, yet there was an airy quality as others have mentioned. Beautiful fragrance, really love it.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

I feel like this smells really expensive, however random that smells. It has a fuzzy kind of smell when you first smell it, which is definitely the salt coming through. Then the peach notes kick in. I love it, easy to wear and very inoffensive and could easily be worn by anyone.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

Much less sweet than the originals and more floral than fruity. I didn’t know anything about its notes when I tried it and did notice a salty skin scent later. Not overtly beachy, a little bitter/metallic and maybe slightly aquatic-like Calone aquatic.. I liked the opening better than the drydown, which actually started intensifying in a not-so-pleasant way and became a bit shrill. But, overall, it’s just ok to me.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

I have a little 5 ml sample of this and to me it smells like a better version of Olympea by Paco Rabanne and although I can’t stand Olympea because of the salt note , I do actually enjoy the salt note in this one. I get beach vibes from it.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

It is pretty but I definitely prefer and much better enjoy the original J`adore for the “depth”, the “layers” and the development in the dry down. This one just gave me a short and plain “joyful” experience on my skin at the moment I sprayed it and then…happy moment was gone not long after 🙂 That’s about it. It just “floats” on the surface and does not “deepen” with time as the original one. I would spray this one right after a shower and then apply the original one as my main scent before going out 🙂

    I’m just sampling this.
Yet another fruity floral. Nothing different from all the releases from the last 5 years.
    Absolutely boring.

I couldn’t identify the salty note I detected when I first tried this perfume; it registered to me as something oceanic, something airy, light… it was a note I recognized but struggled to define. But there you have it: Salt. And the result is, overall, very pretty.
To me, the mesh of salt and florals is very oceanic, almost reminding me of the 90’s classic, Escape (Calvin Klein) in the combination of sweetness and yet airiness.
Does it garnish compliments: Yes. Is it pretty? Yes. Will it become part of my permanent rotation? Unlikely.
    Longevity: 7/10
    Sillage: 8/10

I bought this before going on an escape to a warmer climate from my wintery home thinking it would fit my travel destination. The conclusion was that the imagery used in the advertising campaign is very accurate to the climate the scent suits best; not the hottest hour of the day, but before or after, preferably with a seabreeze lifting the fragrance from skin/beachwear. The salt element works beautifully in moderately warm summer climate ( not in the summer heat). I think this is still a recognizable J’adore variation, but actually quite far from the soft “fruityness” of the EDP. The fruit notes are not as prominent as in the EDP except for the peach note. Somehow this gives the wibe of drinking some peachy cocktail at the beach while watching the sun go down, the scent wafting off your sundress…

Whilst you can definitely smell that this is j’adore flanker, it also reminds me a little of the addict eau the toilette, a personal favourite. I find this one very spring/summer appropriate.

  29. :

Maybe one of the shortest reviews I ever write but this smells exactly like fruit flavored children’s vitamins dissolved in water.

  30. :

J’Adore In Joy by Christian Dior is a super fresh interpretation of the original. I would go so far to say that this is definitely their most appropriate flanker for Spring and Summer.
This fragrance centres itself around a dominant note of peach, complimented by a unique salt accord and blended with an array of crisp white floral notes similar to the original J’Adore EDP.
The salt accord has been skillfully blended so it does not resemble an aquatic. It smells more like a fresh floral on my skin rather than a fragrance one would wear to the beach. I also find J’Adore In Joy to be slightly more casual than the original, something I would happily pair with jeans and a t-shirt.
It reminds me of vintage Calvin Klein’s Escape for Women in lots of ways, especially in regards to the salty note. I really enjoy this playful flanker and hope it stays around long enough for people to enjoy it over the Summer months.

  31. :

Not really a review, but i tested this and it is no different to the other flankers that have been out; a fresher girlier, more up beat version to the original. Cannot detect this flanker from the last flanker. And the salt is not detectable and does not give it an edge. It smells fresh fruity floral to me. Nothing more.

  32. :

The comments about it being similar to Womanity are very misleading, IMHO. I love Womanity and I love Dior, so last summer I tried J’Adore In Joy, hoping to be blown away by it, but as you’ve probably guessed, it didn’t happen. To me, the neroli note really stands out among the rest, making it similar to Miss Dior Cherie L`Eau, Lancome O de L`Orangerie, Kenzo Amour Florale, etc. It’s very cologne-ish and detergent-like. Overall I find it quite underwhelming. It’s not bad or anything, just very simple next to the other Dior offerings (particularly the stunning J’Adore L’Or, if we’re talking about the J’Adore line).
Idk, maybe I should try it again, just to confirm my first impression, or to change my mind.
    upd
So I tried it again. Still no Womanity found. I find it a little bit strange when the salt note clashes with the flowers. But the base notes are very lovely, indeed. Thumbs up (but I probably won’t buy it).

what I get the most are white floral with salty touch and fruity vibe, I say, it was a lighter version of the original J’adore because it has fresh, salty and breezy touch, definitely for youth, playful, joyful, easy going person, it is not biting and aggressive as J’adore EDT, J’adore EDT flanker is really aggressive and biting me from the top to the middle note, easy to wear and easy to love, even it is EDT concentration but it has a very good longevity on me, i get 6+ hours on my body with 8 spritz and last 24 hours on shirt
this perfume is close to Elie Saab EDT, Miss Dior EDT and J’adore Voile de Parfum, they are not 100% similar but just changing some compositions, my crazy mind also thinking of Davidoff Cool Water and Bvlgari Acqua Pour Homme because of the fresh salty vibe, I don’t mind to wear this perfume to public, as long as I enjoy it very much, and I get compliments

This has just landed in our beautiful New Zealand.
A++++ to the house of Dior. i have used J’adore for many years and jumped at buying J’adore in Joy. What a beautiful perfume. I can’t compare it to any fragrance I’ve tried before. Just simply feminine, regal almost. I can wear this any season, any time of day. My husband keeps saying it smells very good, so nice. I am even struggling to pin point any distinct notes, they amalgamate in perfect harmony. Maybe I even prefer this to J’adore!

  36. :

    4 out of 5

That salty note, oh lord. I am certainly biased against it, but upon first spray I thought it was going to be manageable in Joy. Even the first five minutes seemed ok. Unfortunately it was not to be. It ended up bringing to mind cat pee dried into an old rug that you can still smell under the chemical cleaner. Even worse than other more prominently salty fragrances somehow.
I usually favor Dior, and the Or version of J’adore is absolutely a favorite. This version just messed J’adore up for me. “Joy” takes on a sarcastic tone in this case. At least the new Miss Dior was a pleasant (but totally foreign, unrelated to the original) surprise.

    * These are my personal experiences/thoughts with this fragrance. Yours/others may differ. *
Initial – ylang ylang + jasmine + neroli + salt
    Drydown – peach + jasmine
    Duration – 4-6 hours
Projection – 1st hour moderate, soft afterwards
Experiences – Opening is a squeaky clean floral dominated by ylang ylang. I would have liked to experience more of the salt note, but to my nose it’s just barely there. Drydown is a bit unremarkable – very nearly a skinscent. I will finish bottle, but probably wouldn’t re-purchase.
Quick Thoughts – soapy, clean, subtle
Personal Aside – Wore this during the day without issue, but went to the gym late in the evening after the scent had long since seemingly disappeared. This + sweat is an awful combination – after a good cardio session, my skin smelled like overripe peaches.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

This is a perfume where I enjoy the drydown much more than the top and heart.
At first I find J’Adore In Joy a bit soapy, also savory without being salty. Kind of like a leaf of lettuce between the clean jasmine and peach.
As the fragrance developes, it gets better. The weird green note slowly turns into a salty note, the scent becomes softer and smoother.
And after a few hours it smells wonderful. All the soapyness and greenness vanished, it’s just extremely creamy jasmine with the support of tuberose, and equally lovely peach, and while not in the official notes, orange.
The perfume smells as if it would sparkle.
Very feminine, an elegant fruity floral that isn’t immature.
    Longevity and projection are good.
I wish the topnotes would be better, maybe it’s just my skin or my nose… I would recommend to try it for yourself.

  39. :

The first spritz of this is so powerful as the alcohol is evaporating it makes me almost cough, but I am smiling, as the scent fills my senses with… Joy!
There is just something about the J’Adore collection that I absolutely love (clue is in the name I guess).
In Joy is J’Adore’s little sister who fell off the yacht off the coast of South Africa while holding a glass of Woo Woo or some other fruity cocktail drink while wearing the EDP. I am terrible at describing fragrances so apologies.
    Longevity on skin :5/6HRS
Sillage: Radiates somewhat but mainly sits close to the skin.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I am not sure why orange isn’t listed as I definitely smell a strong citrusy orange / mandarin note. This is a zestier version of J’adore. I love the original J’adore but I think this perfume would really attract those maybe don’t like it as it’s a lighter, fruitier version so give it a try.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

An orangey fruity version of j’adore I just tried in France. If I wore any of them, it would be this one, but it’s not that much up my alley, and it doesn’t last very long. Pretty though.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Blind tested 15 fragrances on strips while waiting for flight, both j’adore perfumes i tried stood out For their richness and quality, a fruity, clean fragrance, probably not a purchase as it’s a bit too elegant and sophisticated for me to pull it off.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I think it’s good, even though, I’m not a big J’adore fan. I sense jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang mixed with peach. It’s sweet and floral. It has somekind of sharpness in it, despite the peachy sweetness.
The classic J’adore is also there, I can smell it.
It’s fine, but not one of my favorites.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

This fragrance screams Charlotte York to me – she just wants everything to be polished and all to go exactly as planned.
It is refreshingly sweet (not a typical sweet fruity or sweet vanilla fragrance), which makes it incredibly easy to wear. But the type of freshness isn’t the citrus-freshness. It’s the very light and polite combination of jasmine and ylang-ylang. Salty vibes vanish fast.
Definitely a summer fragrance and easy to wear to the beach as well as office. Good for meditation/relaxing and suitable for the occasions where you just want to feel pretty and kind.
Sillage is medium on my skin and lasts about 4 hours. Definitely my favourite J’adore perfume. All in all a nice peachy summer scent.

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! Imagine your walking out of the sea and sunshine penetrating on your skin! Saltiness from the ocean air soft clean breezy some florals with a peachy undertone. Perfect for warm summer days AND nights! Not heavy, not a sugar bomb not to less. A BEACHY PERFUME MINUS THE COCONUT!

Opulence, radiance, elegance and sensuality. That is what high perfumery is all about and Demachy understood that while creating this one!
This one is the first from the J’Adore line to impress me, but, boy, did it made a good impression!
The unusual combination of peach and fleur de sel gives this fragrance a fruity salty touch that combined with the warm floral background smells just divine!
Francois Demachy did a great job (again)!
It gets a 10/10 from me.

Received a very nice set of media materials including a very nicely folded sample strip (more like a Jadore badge or something like that though) of Jadore In Joy.
Left it in my closed office to let the fragrance permeates and it reminded me that I had smell something just like this before somewhere.
After two days, it suddenly made it remembered, it smells very very similar to Thierry Mugler’s “Womanity” that was released in 2010.
Summary, not original even though pleasant where many may not be able to adapt the salty note as found in Womanity.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

    J’adore meets womanity.
Its the fleshy peach and piercing salt that creates the similarity.
But this is sparkling, bright and doesn’t give off a metallic smell.
On the skin it mellows out quite a bit and the fresh dna of j’adore is present.
I am smelling something citric in this too, like grapefruit, but its not listed.
So far this is my favourite of all the j’adores and i can’t wait to purchase a bottle.
Edit: a friend got it for me for my birthday I’m cheering! It’s so beautiful I love it.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I find the original J’Adore a little dull, but this one I like! It is less middle of the road!
I always love jasmin, tuberrose and neroli in perfumes, but I think that the adding of salt is what makes this perfume so special and outstanding. It is more than just a fresh and happy spring scent.

  50. :

    5 out of 5

Tested this today. If you are not a J’adore lover, and I am not, maybe you will find it lighter, easier than the original. But at least for me it doesn’t have character enough to justify a buy. If it was a gift I would keep it and use it, for sure, but if I have to buy something I would go for other things Dior has to offer. Longevity is almost ok.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

DIVINE and guess what, I am not a fan of J’adore! No offence, it’s just not me or my taste. I only liked a bit the EDT Lumiere edition, probably due to the neroli tone of Dior house.
Guys, just wake up! I love Dior more and more everyday but mostly due to his perfumes. We may have seen thousands of editions coming and go but this one is a must. I’ve never thought I could smell salt. This was promised by Olympea-Paco Rabanne, WANT-DSQ2, but J’adore in joy strikes 100% of the feeling.
If you’re a lover of J’adore you may be shocked or pass by at first, but then the original EDP essence will follow, though not as a ‘perfect’ flower that doesn’t exist according to Dior’s nose Francois Demachy. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Salt if you may smell it, like a wave of the ocean smashing on a rock, a light touch of real peach (like the same trail Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet has on it’s ‘fruity’ vibes) and then a nice harmony of white flowers.
Francois, PLEASE! Please try to bring back Miss Dior Cherie or at least something way better now. We’re all praying, aren’t we guys/girls? Imagine the salty pop-cornish vibe together with fine patchouli, neroli and a bit of caramel. Now that I think about it, I can live without it. Great lasting power, sillage depending on skin. Try it, remember my words and…just ENJOY it!

  52. :

Just been launched at my place of work and it’s doing really well!the peachy notes are instantly noticeable and perfect for summer, even though this is an edt a lot of people are saying they don’t want the heaviness of the original jadore and so prefer this one for the time of year we are going into, warm peach crumble is what it reminds me of!

  53. :

    5 out of 5

I really like the idea of warm, peachy notes, florals and then a touch of salt as a wee surprise – perhaps like a slightly more exciting version of Boss’ The Scent! Though I had expected the peach to have more honeyed tones.
At first I tried on a blotter paper and when it settled I decided I liked it enough to try on skin, my skin can be a little temperamental though.
I put it on around 10 minutes ago, and it has now warmed with my skin and the peachy tones are coming through beautifully. There is still a nod to the original J’adore with the floral notes so the fragrance’s heritage is clear, but it’s a tad warmer an, in my opinion, a little more summery. Though I’m a sucker for a salty note in fragrances.
It is however an Eau de Toilette, not a parfum and I can’t yet vouch for the longevity but we’ll see how it goes.
*Update* It’s only 3ish hours later and I can barely smell it, nor can my colleague. It’s a lovely scent but if you’re interested in the J’adore range I’d simply stick with the original Eau de Parfum

  54. :

    3 out of 5

Maybe its my skin chemistry, but on my J`Adore In Joy smells like the water left in the bathtub after someone bathed in there for hours with expensive soaps and perfumed bath salts. By the way, I loved original J’Adore when I was a teenager, wore it for couple of years after it was just released. So this new flanker is definitely a miss, something just doesn’t work, a guess it’s the combination of ripped peach, jasmine and sea salt. While the original J’Adore is elegant fruity floral, joyful and with a sparkling quality, the new flanker is just soapy and damp.

  55. :

    3 out of 5

Prefer the original J’adore. This reminds me of many of the common smells out there. This is fresh with some zing to it. Reminds me of Alfred Sung Shi. There’s a touch of tartness from the salt. It’s quite appealing but perhaps potentially cloying and not particularly unique. Longevity unimpressive. Probably not something I would buy.

  56. :

    5 out of 5

J’adore (and LVEB) flankers never cease to amaze me. Most of them I like more than their mamas; same here.
J’adore in Joy is exactly what it states: a scent of joy, love for life, instant fun and the exclamation of spring. I say summer too. Only in this case Demachy chooses to use more floral notes instead of fruit and gourmand notes that are mostly used in spring-summer related perfumes lately.
Yes, in the drydown there is an artificial note, but that’s okay, it’s bearable; you have to trace it alot. Fot the most part it sets powdery peachy on the skin after a nice detergent-like neroli, which is lost later. As for other florals in my opinion they appear and dissapear. A bit sad about tuberose, because i like the floral and would be happy for a more pronounced one with the already existing peach. But that’s okay, at least we have neroli.
As for the salty flower: it’s not that salty, so don’t veer off because of it. Maybe this is the artificial note in it that might bother some customers, but do give it a sniff, it’s not that terrible.
Nothing from the DNA of the original J’adore, thank God. A new scent. Although it does remind me of Burberry Weekend, but by no means they are close, I would just put them in the same family.
Longevity is up to 5 hours and in the beginning of wear time it projects very well, I got complimented. Later it stays close to the skin.

All I get is artificially flavored peach candy, a hint of salt and Windex cleaner. Please don’t stone me for saying this, it could be just my nose picking up those notes. Please test before you buy as there is nothing j’adore to rediscover in this one.
I wish Dior stopped this flanker madness and concentrate on restoring the former glory of the original EDP. I would like to see that for a change.

Just received it, and this is beautiful ! At first it smelled like j’ Adore edp, and I thought ok, not one I like too much, so expect a big bouquet at first, then a juicy warm note comes in, this smells sooo nice, the peaches give the fragrance a rounded golden vibe, nothing too fruity or synthetic, this is soft and smooth…I get a bit of the salt, or more the idea of the salt, which makes me think of a warm summer breeze coming from the sea, the salt is very light, i don’t find the salt to be dominant one iota..actually I can hardly detect it..this remains a warm stylish floral, with a hint of yellow and fresh notes, it isn’t sweet, it is fresh, Iand so nicely constructed…you can identify here the craftsmanship of Demachy.
To me, the best versions of the J Adore…I can see why the ones who typically love edp might not love Joy…it has a different vibe..the scent truly warms up in the sunshine…great !!
Now, seriously , this has nothing to do, even remotely with Womanity !

I was eager to test this fragance. Today i got a sample and i could test it twice. It reminded me a fragance I knew and yes of course … Womanity. On my skin it turns fast into a skinscent that remains so for more then 8 hours. It is not a bad scent but I was waiting for a wow factor. As a j’ adore fan I must have this too so it goes to my want list. My favorite is still L’ absolu.
    P.S:
3e test. A bright floral salty peachy and quite nice. It is a “like” not a “love”, at least not yet, but I am still planning to buy it as a J’adore fan. I would also like to tell you that I am not trying to make an issue if I say that this perfume reminds me Womanity. That is so, just like that. I think there is no need to say that a scent reacts differently depending on the Chemistry. Thanks God :).

Salty floral scent, but salt dominates it. All in all, I am not a fan of salty perfumes.

Omg I was so excited to get a free sample from Malouf pharmacies Australia! They never give out samples normally. When I walked in-store, there stood the most beautiful display I’ve ever seen. Bottles of J’adore In Joy, surrounded by golden materials and glitter. I was immediately drawn to it like a magpie. I love huge white florals and am so sick of the same sweet fruity florals everywhere I go. In Joy was such a pleasant surprise. It’s not overly sweet, even though it contains peach which I’m normally not a fan of. Everything just merges perfectly here. The beautiful white flowers are divine, mixing softly with this new salty note. Salt? If someone mentioned that before in perfumes I’d have thought of something aquatic or weird smelling, but here it just works. This is no ordinary fruity floral and the gold bottle is so stunning – just screams opulence but isn’t over the top. You could wear this day or night in spring or winter. Lovely!!! That last photo of Charlize Theron is exactly how it smells if she were also surrounded by beautiful white flowers. I just wish I could afford a bottle now.
ETA: I sprayed this on again freshly washed skin and unfortunately that salty note turned rank on me; the exact same thing happens with most aquatic/marine/oceanic notes. I probably didn’t notice it the first time as I was sampling several perfumes that day. Great reminder to never buy straight from store but wait! Luckily it’s just a sample. Not the J’adore for me but willing to try other flankers.

The opening is very fresh, salty (like a sea breeze) and citrusy with the sweet tone of jasmine in the back. It’s very cheerful, completely suit its name.
I sprayed it and went outdoor, and this one really bloom in the heat. You must try it yourself!
A little let down is the dry down that turns into original J’adore plus faint salty note, but the opening is ravishing!

Just got a sample. Fresh floral with an unusual light salty background. Very pretty. Like a Spring sea breeze.

instead of returning J’adore L’eau cologne floral they came out with this weird mixture that they call a fragrance?
I’m getting really disappointed in Dior year after year. Maybe some of their goods are exceptional but oh no not the fragrance collections they offer, not any creation is really that good. I purchased their iconic Diorific lipstick & the show range mascaras a countless of times, their bags & shoes are the ultimate fashion but when it comes to the fragrance…well, think again.
I may give this a try though my heart is forever broken since they discontinued my beloved L’eau cologne floral & Remember me from late 90’s. Two of the most innocent scents I’ve ever came across & I’m not that young anymore.

Just launched here!!, real pretty fresh floral, different from J’Adore range has offer, is unique in it’s own. I love the contrast between the salty note (nothing marine or calone) with the floral edge, Jasmin and White floral notes, makes an exclusive feeling, followed by a tiny fruity tone. Is soo bright, without being typical summery scent. Feminine and with a real elegance…
I have realized that causes reactions, friends who like regular or Absolu editions doesn’t find attractive or totally opposite, so that is very interesting, fragrances which incite determinations.
It also doesn’t fit into gourmands, is a new salty trend,
