Iris Nobile 10th Anniversary Special Edition arrives in 100 ml refillable flacon enriched with decorations made of 18 carat gold inspired by beautiful iris flower. Decorations are hand-made. The anniversary flacon arrives in cylindrical purple carton which takes color of elegant flower petals and its elegance is enhanced in gold color details.
Composition of the fragrance remains unchanged and offers opulence of floral shades refreshed with luminous citrus drops (bergamot, orange, mandarin). Top notes are dominated by elegant iris shades with a hint of star anise. The heart of the composition is enriched with a floral bouquet of tuberose, mimosa, hibiscus, orange blossom and ylang-ylang enhanced with cedar, while the base warms in subtle and gently way the whole floral opulence of the elegant composition with amber and vanilla.

an exquisite fragrance. best worn on cool fresh days.
after an initial burst of citrusy delight with star anis, she begins to dry down into a something ladylike, yet slightly sweet and earthy. the earthiness i smell is definitely oakmoss and patchouli. the main flower in front is orange blossom, with a soft ylang sitting behind her. the iris is very gentle in this. there is a touch of vanilla and amber, but the oakmoss and patchouli stay alongside right through the dry down on me.
sillage is medium and lasting at least 12 hours.
the note inside the box tells you that this is exactly the same formula as the original and also lists the notes, which are different from above.
i will list them when i get chance. there is definitely lovely oakmoss in this composition.
oh what do i know?…but is this really a “floral woody musk”?
Iris Nobile smells like a chypre to me. not a classic chypre like Mitsouko, but not like the floral woody musks i have experienced. a modern chypre. and it definitely has the Francis Kurkdjian vibe.
