I love how this smells on paper but smells so bland on my skin!
I get the cedar on paper which gives it some body and depth, however, on my arm it’s a very green powdery iris which comes across as an expensive soap.
Try this before you buy it! But it’s a very clean, soft scent which I can see any iris lover wanting!

Fresh floral opening that puts me in a dewy garden on a Spring morning. A delightful floral that is different from what I usually encounter. Unfortunately the drydown is too musky for me, and there is also an almost aftershave scent.

It all started well and I even purchased a bottle after testing because it had some lovely iris and green notes, but the dry down became way too masculine for me just as aqua76239 found. If it happened to two of us, it could happen to you, so don’t blind-buy.
And as usual, although Aerin’s fragrances are not known for their longevity, this one had to persist, didn’t it?….
The jasmine, gardenia and amber musc versions work much better for me.

I think that Iris Meadow is very fresh, clean and feminine. It is the kind of scent that other people would enjoy being next to. The wearer of the scent smells fresh and showered. Especially a great way to smell on a hot summer day!
The only downsid,e as with all Aerin scents, is the lack of ĺongevity. Why are they made to be so short lived on my skin? I think Aerin doesn’t like me. She doesn’t want me to buy her perfumes. I would have purchased three scents by now, but I refuse to spend money on any more weak perfumes. Very sad about this,Aerin!

Clean gentle lovely scent. I smell floral but also a hint of citrus. This would be great to wear on a bright sunny day in a new sundress.

This is one I have avoided as of late, but no longer.
Iris Meadow is so beautiful…like a walk in a fairy iris tale in the early morning down a path where trees line each side, oh and the trees are dusted with snow!
And PURPLE irises THRIVE…yes! this is sooo purple!
A beautiful twilight purple evening and they are blowing in a soft breeze, but the weather changes quickly and you find yourself in the middle of a snowshower… softly falling flakes sparkling with the sun shining through the clouds on purple irises just opened fresh and dewy like a velvet cloud…
But the dew freezes in the dropping temperatures and catch the morning sun like a crystal prism hanging in the window on a frosty Winter morning…yes I love this it is my next MUST buy…
Oh and this is so very feminine…soft and silky like purple satin iris petals on your boudoir bouquet in a crystal vase…you dreaming your riding next to your sweetheart in a horse drawn carriage on a very special evening on the 14th…

IMO, this is rather masculine. Which I was not expecting. This is my least favorite of Aerin line.
Yes, its green and woodsy with hint of flower but it does smell like men’s cologne(or very unisex) on my skin.
So don’t blind buy this

I am pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying this fragrance, even though I usually prefer more complex scents. I’m wearing it today, it’s over 30°c and humid and makes me feel persistently fresh. I don’t find it synethic at all, but yes the green comes through strongly right through to the drydown. The floral sweetness is there but I don’t find it overwhelming and I am very sensitive to sickly sweet scents. Waterlilly sun and gardenia rattan were stomach turning for me. I find it’s sillage it quite strong for the first couple of hours. I feel like I have this little cocoon of freshness around me for 4-5 hrs before it really fades into a skin scent.

Very fresh and green, like walking in a meadow early in the morning, or after rain. The iris is very light and powdery; it seems to float above the scent like a mist, and soon melts into a white floral scent. Probably not irisy enough for fans of the accord.

I like this perfume and think it is nice for a springtime fragrance the iris and green notes make it a lovely choice for spring. First spray was so fresh and light then it mingles on my skin to a nice meadow scent. as it lingers on my skin I get more of a powdery smell with the green notes in the background. I wish it last longer since hang time was about 4 hours with the sillage losing strength as time wore on. I would buy it if the longevity was better.

Iris Meadow opens on my skin with a big air freshener note, which is fortunately followed by some nice cool orris notes and green. There is not much development. As time passes you smell the cedar and musk most, mixed with cool orris, giving the drydown a dry, powdery feel. Iris Meadow smells fresh, but it still says air freshener to me. I am an iris lover who has tried just about every iris fragrance known to man or woman and this iris fragrance is rather ‘meh,’ not special at all in my opinion. I find it not worth the money. There are better fragrances in the Aerin line, e.g. the Gardenia Rattan and the Waterlily Sun.

Love the Iris / ceder and musk combo. Very fresh and powdery with a woody base.
Very feminine and like genny17 mentioned like a walk in the garden after rainfall.
The opening is quite crisp and clean and green but it soon melts into a floral woody musk , very likeable and still fresh to the very end. Light and airy and gourgous for summer.
In a way it feels like freshly showered , reminiscence of good quality soaps and shampoos.

This is very pretty, I am glad I found a bottle at a decent price!! The Iris is green and sweet, almost dewy, like an early walk in a garden right after a warm rain, it is a stylish beautiful scent, not heady, all in subtle harmony…don’t expect a heavy floral here, but it is fine, I like Iris, and it is a nice rendition of a soft Iris., modern, nothing oldish about it..
I still think the Aerin Lauder fragrances are too expensive, but if I can find them half price, I grab them..as they are pretty. Feminine, lovely!!
But if you like intriguing scents, those might be a tad boring!!
