Description

To complement its Paradise edition, presented in 2014, the house of Nest presents another fragrant creation designed exclusively for Sephora. The scent is named Indigo and, just like the rest of the Nest collection, it is inspired by works of Mary Delany, who was a British artist of the 18th century, famous for her exquisitely detailed paper-cut mosaics of plants and flowers. Mary first began to create cut-out paper artworks in the decoupage technique, to create detailed depictions of plants. She later perfected her technique using tissue paper and hand coloration. Each of the fragrances of the Nest collection is decorated with artworks selected by Laura Slatkin, the creator of the Nest Fine Fragrance collection, reinterpreted by Russian artist Alexander Solodukho.

Indigo offers an opulent composition that starts with fresh notes of bergamot, blending citrus freshness with aromatic nuances of wild figs. The new edition is characterized by its distinctive chords of Moroccan tea, warm cashmere wood, and spicy cardamom. The fragrance is available as 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and as a 10 ml rollerball edition.

I have been eyeing this one for a couple of years (!!) now but still haven’t taken the plunge to buy a bottle. I don’t know why I’m waiting because I am absolutely obsessed with this scent.
I hadn’t tried it for at least a year, and decided to spray it on today whilst out shopping to see if I still liked it. I think I love it even more now!! I could literally lick my wrist after spraying it on. It’s just beautiful. It has decent longevity on me, and although it doesn’t have the longevity of a “luxury” perfume, I’d be happy to just keep spritzing it on throughout the day!
I know what I want for Christmas 🙂

I got a sample of this, and found it interesting. Simple composition, that plays very well. Opening to me was the tea and cardomon with the fig notes later. This is a quiet fragrance, sitting close to the skin. Dry down the scent was non-existent. I would describe it butterfly garden, earthy. Definitely not typical. Piqued my interest in trying more from this perfume house.

dried fig and tea sounds a dream to me, so i’d maybe–mayyyybe–like this if the fig was less juicy fruity and more green fig leaf and/or overripe (dried, or even fig newton-esque). instead i get juice, which i found so obnoxious i had to wash off. just wanted to post a BEWARE sign for fellow tea and / or fig lovers………

This smells like a men’s deodorant or body wash.

Fig is fast becoming one of my favorite notes, and it really shows up in this fragrance. Unfortunately, it fades away too quickly to make the investment.

This was so interesting, back when I had the sample. Tea & figs? I’d never *heard* of a fragrance with those notes! (I’m late to the party, evidently.) But it was so unique, a wonderful alternative to the mainstream designer perfumes that dominate the market. I’d love to get my hands on a full-size bottle.

I love this fragrance. It’s fresh and sweet, and it’s a beautiful use of a black tea note, which is hard to find on a perfume counter.
For me, the tea note is most prominent, and I also get slight woodsy notes and the sweetness from the fig. If you like Stella by Stella McCartney, this has a similar but more “accessorized” feel.
This one is pretty versatile. It works for day or evening, dressy or casual, and cool or warm weather.

This was an unexpected find after using Sephora’s new wall computerized fragrance selection system. I highly recommend going in for a computerized test to find out which new fragrances to try. They have finally combined important questions such as sillage – and how you want to be perceived into the equation.
I like this Indigo fragrance – it is truly nice and wears very upper class, complex – and slightly “blue” on my skin. I like the way this wears. It is really nice with my own chemistry.
This is a “signature” quality for me –
It comes in as a chord – and not a screeching noticeable note that is competing for attention.
I recommend trying this – only your own chemistry can truly be the judge.
A great one to sample – and wear several days in a row to see how this wears on YOU!

This smells very strange. Its very sweet but it has a green note that stays in it that makes it weird and a little gross to me. I just dont like it. Its like sugary grass.

I was really hoping this would be more complex, however it’s really very similar to a basic bath and body works type scent. it smells good, though.

This didn’t transform much as it was a pretty linear fragrance.
This was my favorite for summer! I got the fresh fig note and bergamot which are both my favorite!
The only problem is it barely stays on the skin and turns a little “soapy fresh” in the dry down which I don’t mind.
I really liked this but I wouldn’t repurchase just for the longevity.

Is it suitable for a 30yo+ man?

  14. :

    5 out of 5

Absolutely love it. My signature scent. Fits any mood–day/night, winter/summer, casual/seductive. I love that it’s unique amongst today’s barrage of fruity florals marketed towards millenial women. Bergamot and tea are most noticeable for me, with an undercurrent of fig weaving throughout.

I’m very picky when it comes to owning a fig fragrance and sure enough, this one still does not satisfy me. Its dry down on my skin was like I just soaked my hand in some concentrated black tea liquid. Smelled very yummy as in a flavor for drinkable tea. Not so sure about wearing it as my fragrance though 🙂
Overall it is still pleasant enough, but I would not pay $72 plus tax for a 1.7 oz bottle at Sephora 🙂
The only fig fragrance that I own and enjoy so far is still the Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis (being discontinued of course).

This is one of the most uplifting scents I’ve ever smelled without being overtly sunny and bright. There’s something therapeutic about this one and I’m so excited I swapped for a full bottle. I’ve been testing from a mini the past year and seldom wore it because I didn’t want to use all of it (weird perfumista hoarding habits). Once it was determined that I can get a full bottle of it, I wore it the past few days and just really can’t get enough of it. It’s like an instant smile. Cool yet warm, green yet sweet. It’s a beautiful balance. I find that it kind of smells like a nice shampoo from afar, which is nice in my opinion for work/casual outings/after shower. It’s a beautiful everyday scent and can see this easily being signature-scent worthy. The earthy sweetness from the cardamom and tea and the fig makes me think of a sweet coconut milk tea with cardamom. Fig is a note I’ve always loved and I feel like it is because it shares similarities with coconut, but has more of a green feel to it. I also find that I experience great longevity of this perfume and it doesn’t change much, surprisingly, from first application to the dry-down. That bright cardamom and tea vibe is softened slightly, but I get wisps of the sweetness still after time. I have olive oily skin so maybe it holds onto these scents better and maybe others have different experiences, but this is my story! Haha. Excited to own this!!!

I’m getting fig enveloping green tea and cashmeran woods –> fig musk –> fresh musk drydown

This is my signature scent. Warm tea with cardamom, sweet figs on the side, with a hint of woody cedar. The silage is not the best, but I don’t mind reapplying.

This smells lovely on my girlfriend.
She wore this on our cruise and i kept kissing her neck.
I like the fragrance, as a whole.
Very sexy…i just wanted to add my two cents to the forum.

When I first put this on I would have described it as as a nice, light summer fragrance that was green, jammy, and fruity. But an hour later after I went outside for my morning dog walk in the cool 55 degree weather, my skin cooled down and this perfume suddenly blossomed into a fragrant woody tea scent infused with bergamot and fig. I was quite surprised it changed in the cool weather and now consider this a late winter/spring fragrance. There is something about this perfume I really like, it is quite addicting.

I just had a major epiphany! Since the first time I smelled Indigo I knew I had smelled it many times before. Eventually I realized it was Black Fig and Absinthe by Slatkin, a sort of niche perfume my roommate bought around 2003. This sent me on a chase to find out whatever happened to the Slatkin line because I never saw it again except for their collaboration with Bath and Body Works. Well it didn’t take long on the internet to find out that Nest is owned and operated by Slatkin herself! This leads me to believe that Indigo is basically a dupe for Black Fig and Absinthe and I now I know I was right all along. So this scent really takes me down memory lane back to the early 2000’s, cold and always stressed, Harvard Square, my first winter in New England. I think this is a great Fig for the cold weather, which seems a bit odd. Since it’s still unseasonably warm this fall, I’m going to try layering this with my other favorite Fig, Philosykos, tomorrow and see how that works out. Unlike that green Fig, this one lasts much longer than 30 minutes.

This is a new review, I bought it today at sephora. I love it! it smells wonderful to my nose, a mix of fresh tea, smooth ripe fig, hence the sweet undertone..lovely!! the cardamnon comes into play in the base but stays subtle..it doesnt dominate the scent, it just gives it a bit of a spicy twinge
my husband likes it a lot too..now, it isnt really unisex, mostly feminine in my opinion..Nest has interesting fragrances, and Indigo is one of them!

  23. :

Very citrusy it isn’t a bad smell, or a cheap smell, or an expensive smell. It’s nostalgic of perhaps 1970’s early 80’s lemon pledge. I wouldn’t place this on the sophisticated fragrance section. Perhaps something quick on a spring summer day when you have your hair in a bun, white v neck, and some jeans look. Not for dinner or seducing a man. More like to prove you took a shower. lol

I have so many memories tied to this fragrance. I had a mini rollerball of this for a long time, and while I wanted to purchase the bottle, I never did. My husband recently gifted a bottle of this to me for my birthday, and I’m enjoying very much.
The perfume itself has bright, citrusy bergamot and sweet fig which settles into an earthy tea leaf note. The fig note disappears completely, which makes me a little sad. I think the citrusy, earthy, tea base could benefit from a little sweetness. I can’t really pick up on the wood or cardamom notes; maybe a small bit of wood. It’s still such a lovely, unique fragrance, and it’s absolutely perfect for fall and winter. It’s also a champion of a mixer! I suggest layering it with other fragrances to add a deep, earthy element.
    Moderate longevity and soft sillage.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

This is probably the heaviest perfume that I go for, but it’s still not too heavy to wear at the office.(Granted, I use two swipes of the rollerball each time) I love the sweetness of the fig mingling with the tea… I’ve also recently developed a love of cardamom in fragrances, which might be why I like this so much.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

Looks like a lot of other reivewers also love the fig & tea opening of this, but I have the opposite problem with the dry down…on me it just disappears. No cloying scent, just fades away to nothing extremely fast. Since its not some kind of masterpiece I feel worth spraying every 30 minutes, I haven’t kept it around. Still on the search for a lovely fig/tea.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

I have the same cloying dry down as other reviewers. It smells like worn off deodorant on a hot stressful day.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

I’m a pretty big fan of fig scents… and I like the full spectrum of them… leafy, fruity, whatever. This actually has a nice fig note in it, but it is smothered by a nuclear blast of headache inducing sweetness. I couldn’t imagine a scenario where this scent wouldn’t be cloying.
It makes me want to grab for some Profumum Roma Ichnusa, which is essentially the antithesis of Nest’s sickly sweet nightmare.
    Big thumbs down for me.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

I’m glad I just bought the rollerball size of this before committing. I wanted to love it, but the drydown just wrecks it for me.
The opening is definitely very figgy and inviting, which is why I bought the scent in the first place. But the longer it sits on my skin, it turns musty and almost moldy? It is probably just a skin chemistry thing, as most warmer/gourmand frags are just wrong on my skin.
I normally wear perfumes that are heavy on the citrus or floral, so I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

This is nice. Fig, tea, a hint of mint and light woody notes. Drydown is a little sweeter than I’d have liked but it’s still a nice scent. Cheaper alternative to Balenciaga B. Skin or Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee.

  31. :

I wanted to love it. Indigo starts out amazing but soon turns into a sweet cloying hot mess that is hard to scrub off. Too “figgy”? Not sure but cannot wear this one.

  32. :

I’m a scent-newbie with a sample from Sephora. To me, this smells richly sweet, though not flatly caramel (this is the fig?): it has a definite astringent “perfumey” note (cardamom? bergamot? wood?) that I can’t place.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I’m smelling a bit of some cedar, like real cedar… We have tons of cedar trees around our house and when you cut one down it is very distinctive. So, it is really pretty to me! Sweetness plus real cedar.

This is right up my alley: a straightforwardly delicious combination of two of my favourite notes, fig and tea. There’s not much mystery here, which can be a good thing: everything about it just works very well without too much fuss. The tea is strong and black, the fig ripe and sweet without going overboard, and the other notes keep politely to the background where they belong. And projection is just right as wel, at least for a good couple of hours. Very nice!

  35. :

This is a “spa” scent. Totally calming and smells very natural with the strong tea and citrus notes. Both and men and women can pull this off.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

Indigo gives me an impression of green chai tea, peppery, sometimes iced and other times room temperature. The cardamom is fairly strong on me. If you like Cartier Declaration, Bvlgari Green Tea, Bvlgari Blue Tea, or tea scents in general, you may like Nest Indigo.

This smells identical to Lush’s Space Girl bath bomb. Space Girl was one of my favorite Lush scents, so the idea of being able to wear it was exciting! On paper, it was a good idea:
    – Don’t need to take a bath to smell the fragrance.
    – It’s sweet and has a nice berry note in it.
    – I like all the notes involved.
However, after wearing it a few times, I can’t do it anymore. It’s too strong. I think it’s too cloying for me, personally. And it’s also kind of sharp too. Something isn’t working. Too bad!

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Indigo had me at Hello, but I’m not sure about a long-term relationship with it. Allow me to explain.
Opening is beautiful – fresh bergamot and realistic figs – quickly settles into a sweetened tea, sort of a modernized and sugared version of Bvlgari’s The Vert from the days of yore. Luckily, the cardamom doesn’t show up prominently on me (unlike, for example, in Jo Malone’s Mimosa and Cardamom, which turned a little offensive on me.)
I quickly bought a full bottle after testing at Sephora, which I very rarely do with fragrances. (Typically, I like to get samples and try out before making a decision.)
I have 2 complaints, however. One is that on some days, Indigo is almost *too* sweet for me, and can go a bit cloying. On the same vein, sometimes the lasting power is great, and other times, I can’tell smell anything after an hour or so. Must be my skin chemistry on certain days.
Anyway, I do like this, and will keep my full bottle. I find it nice for an office setting or more casual environmenta, and would recommend if you are into tea scents.

  39. :

By the description, I really thought that I would like this one, but I don’t. Don’t get me wrong, this is great quality perfume. It lasts FOREVER!!! Unfortunately, I just wanted it to go away. I got some on my robe and I could smell it for days. I think what I don’t like is the tea combined with the extreme sweetness. If you are into that kind of thing, you should definitely try this. It does not smell bad or cheap. I just personally do not like the scent.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

To be quite honest, I’m not sure what this smells like. I am TERRIBLE when it comes to describing scents. All I know is that I absolutely adore this perfume. I only have the tiny vile that comes in the trio set that brings Dahlia and Vines, Citrine, and Indigo and I am definitely going to buy the full size bottle of Indigo very soon. I sprayed it on this morning around 8 and I can still smell it every time I move around. I’m in love!!

  41. :

    3 out of 5

I’m a tea lover, so I was able to distinguish the tea note right off the bat! It’s supported beautifully by fig and cardamom, and then it settles down with this very gentle musk. It does not pull sweet on me at all, it’s instead very calm and floaty. This is amazing on both genders.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

This is a lot sweeter than I expected. Particularly the dry down was sweeter, I thought it would mellow out but it really didn’t. The dry down gave hints of the tea and cardamom but they were largely drowned out by super sweet fig. It’s like fig syrup with added sugar. On the whole I don’t dislike this, it just doesn’t have the kind of balance I’m looking for.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I do get the berry notes that some others have mentioned. Kind of heavy/syrupy but surprisingly, not too much. A very sexy winter fragrance to wear on a hot date. A+ on the beautiful packaging.

  44. :

When I researched the Nest frags I was very intrigued by Indigo. On a chance purchase, I wound up getting Midnight Fleur first, which I absolutely love. When I finally got Indigo I liked it well enough (the black tea note is one of my favorites). Sillage and longevity are average. Alas, a nice fragrance but I dare say I like Midnight Fleur better.

  45. :

Leans more masculine to me and i like unisex/opposite sex fragrances to wear sometimes. I’m one of the few who is getting mainly cardamom and lime. I love fig but am not getting any. I get some tea but there is a strong amber to me too as i can sort of see why someone mentions B&BW Sensual Amber. Maybe that is just how cashmere woods is coming off to me here. I had Sensual Amber edt as a gift before in which it smelled of berries and amber which i passed on.
This smelled good on my spouse. He mentioned how it got annoying after a while. Each spray does pack a pretty good punch for a Nest.
We like the flacon more than anything.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Well this to me smells fresh more than anything, and very unisex. I would put this as a Spring/Summer or daytime scent. I do not detect any woodiness to it, just the green and the citrus. This was a blind buy for me and I thought based on the ratings here (good for Fall; similar to Sensual Amber), but to me, none of that rings true. If anything if I had to peg this as a ‘reminds me of,’ it would be CK1 for me or even Downtown. Possibly one of the fresh Ralph Lauren scents, but I do not detect the warmth I was expecting/looking for with this. This to me is straight up citrus, a just-showered, fresh, clean, unisex scent.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

This scent is wonderful. Fig, spicy cardamom. This would be an amazing autumn/winter scent because it is warm and comforting. The tea scent is soothing and grounds the fig and cardamom, but it’s not very strong. This scent has a beautiful tea drydown. Like many Nest fragrances, the sillage on this is minimal, and it lasts about 3 or 4 hours.
UPDATE 05/18/18 – I am getting some ginger out of this now, I don’t know how or why. Sweet.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I oddly smell leather, not fig, not tea. For me, this is reminiscent of — if less refined than — Kelly Caleche.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I get a linear sweet berry/fig with tea and cashmere in the background before disappearing completely. I do not get bergamot or cardamom at all. I am bummed that the tea didn’t stick around. the first blast was loud, but then it was gone within 1/2 an hour. Syrupy sweet disappointment.

  50. :

    4 out of 5

This is for the roller ball sampler. I usually love both Tea and fig scents, but this one’s not for me. On me, this starts out smelling like very syrupy berries, and is quite heavy. There is something sort of crisp or fresh behind that, but the two never seem to blend. The too-sweet berry smell never changes, and quickly becomes too much. It ends up smelling like a generic fruity floral on me, unfortunately.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

Purchased the rollerball to try it out. Upon first applying, it was the juicy fig and lime that were wonderfully sweet without being too bright and in your face. Also something deeply spicy. The drydown left me with a strong black tea scent, deliciously dark and comforting. This is an original and quality scent, one of my new favorites. I feel it is great for any time of year, but especially fall evenings. I’ve taken to layering a sweet vanilla body spray over it to round it out a little more. It’s a delicious date-night scent.

  52. :

    5 out of 5

I love this sweet fig scent. I love it even more because it has some soft green notes and a lovely sour note that comes through just in time to break up the sweetness.

  53. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t wear this one too much but I do like it. I get a lot of tea. The tea is a little sweet with the fig and cardamom. I am going to have to wear this a little bit more this summer. Sillage is more then a skin scent on me. Two people have commented that it smells edible. On me it is long lasting. Perfect for day wear.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

First sniff off the bottle and I was in love but the second I sprayed it on my arm… AH! Horrible spice, slight body odor, sour bomb! I literally smelled like old curry… I couldn’t wait to shower this off as I was actually embarrassed wearing this in public.

  55. :

    4 out of 5

This is delicious. The only way I can really describe it. It’s fresh and sweet and makes my feel happier. I couldn’t put my finger on the notes until I read them. But now I get the fig and lime which isn’t a combo I would ever think I’d love but I DO! This is gorgeous for spring or summer, day or night. A perfect gift because I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with this scent especially if given in the warmer months. DELICIOUS.

  56. :

Adored this scent, and it reminded me of a kinder, gentler Thierry Mugler Angel. Definitely picked up on the fig and cashmere wood. This comes off as a rich, slightly powdery scent on me and I am so getting the rollerball of it for when I get bored with my usual. Sillage is low, staying power is great.
Edit: nope. Not buying due to their support of Autism Speaks. It’s a lovely fragrance but I heavily disagree with this charity’s goals and mission.

  57. :

like most i was given a sample from sephora so i thought id give this a go
this nice dark & sweet fig scent is pleasant and not in your face its sits close to the skin which is nice for those cooler months when you wanna be snuggled up next to someone while embracing your sexy/sensual side
projection is average and longevity is weak so if you love this make sure you carry a decant with you 🙂
    kudos to the bottle designer
    on to the next
ps even tho this has been listed as a unisex scent id say this is better suited for a female

I think I have an “untrained nose”, but I think a large percentage of perfume buyers will have that too. So I will review this from that kind of perspective!
This EDP is VERY subtle. If I were a different person, I couldn’t smell it unless I were hugging myself. And I’d STILL have to stand there and sniff really hard for a while.
The scent does not travel around whatsoever. So…if you’re looking for something “inoffensive”, like if you’re in a place where your presence isn’t allowed to scream “I’m wearing perfume!!” (office, schoolteacher, interview, etc) this would be great. It feels like this perfume is my little secret.
Although, that does upset me b/c since it’s EDP, it should at least cause a BIT of an “aura”.
I do not smell the fig. I don’t sense any sort of big, juicy, fruity flavor at all. What I smell is the tea and cardamom.
But before I was able to identify that, I had a very hard time placing the different smells. From the mind of a typical commoner’s “untrained nose”, the only words that came to mind upon rubbing it on was actually (if you can believe it) “minty kool-aid.”
The cardamom almost gives it a minty smell. This scent feels “cool”. It isn’t a warm, smoky spice, but actually, a “cool-smelling” spice.
The “kool-aid” has no particular flavor. It’s just sweet. But the cardamom balances it out so it’s not syrupy at all. Just sharp, clean, sweet.
It is unique but not what you’d expect.
When you have a common dull sense of smell like me, you can forget about the drydown for this one. Musk is a very vague and common scent anyways, so it doesn’t impress me.
When combined with Nest’s “Dahlia & Vines”, it changes this a bit, though. That gives it a more “soapy” drydown/basenote. It sounds bad, but I like that – it makes it more soft and rosy.

Like a more edgy Tocca Colette. Red fruit tea mixed with Coke Zero, not something you’ve had before, but may be your new favorite thing, as it is mine.

  60. :

From the Nest website, Indigo has “Moroccan tea, kashmir wood and black cardamom are enhanced with hints of wild fig and bergamot.” I disagree. It is not “a hint” of fig and bergamont, that is the main course, that is all it has. Very syrupy sweet but not spiced. No cardamom AT ALL–and “black cardamom” is actually smoked green cardamom. Humph. It smells like an expensive candle in a ritzy girl’s city loft. I don’t want to smell like this. Good thing it has zero lasting power on me.

I got a set of five Nest fragrances, and Indigo was by far my favorite.
Top notes are very fruity and give the whole scent a nice kick. It mellows out into a soft sweet fig. It’s the type of fragrance that works day or night, winter or summer. I love perfumes with powder scents, and while Indigo has no powder, it still gives the same effect: Warm, elegant, inviting. The cashmere and bergamot combined with the citrus creates a unique scent that few will be wearing.
The sillage isn’t too great, but I could smell it on my wrist for most of the day.

Pretty. I smell something a lot like blackberry in here, although it’s not listed. It’s sweet, juicy, tart, fresh – I really smell the tea and a bit of fig, but I think the fig is overpowered by this berry smell. Although the combination is lovely, I kind of wish the berry/fruity smell was toned down a bit, because it’s overpowering the uniqueness of the fig/tea/leaves/ and making this scent more ordinary. It’s almost like raspberry Jolly Rancher fighting with a lovely light green tea.
The Jolly Rancher is winning, unfortunately.

Mmmm.. The fig in this is really nice. Does remind me of dark berries, or at least what I think they should smell of. This is what I want to smell like in the fall, particularly in right about now in October, approaching Halloween. The mood this perfume sets is just right for the season… Bewitching.

I’m confused, this smells sharp when i first smell my wrist. By the time I sniff my wrist again, there’s no smell. O.O
    I smell absolutely nothing

It was a like from the first sniff, wondering what it was!! If you’re into bergamot and lemon tea, if you like heavy sweet yet fig yumm, then you’d sure should try that! Overall, i kinda like it 😉

Spicy green herbal fig! Real nice and refreshing. Light and different type a scent to wear. I appreciate its uniqueness:) I find drydown to be a little bit sucky, maybe it’s a chemistry thing? overall it’s worth a try.

If you’re from the pacific northwest (of the US) this smells exactly like walking through the notoriously invasive himalayan blackberries at their peak ripeness towards the end of summer. And you know that when they smell this way that they are super sweet and full of juice and purple stained hands can not be avoided. That is exactly how I experience the opening. About 20 or so minutes later (on skin) it calms down quite a bit. What remains for my nose is a woodsy vanilla scent. I specifically get sandalwood despite the listed notes.
I think cardamom might be hiding down there under the vanilla. I have a cassis oil I layer with occasionally but straight cassis tends to pull the more coniferous and piney notes from blackberry. This absolutely has the syrupy ripeness that standing in a maze of blackberry bramble feels and smells like. Awesome. I just wish that note hung around longer before taking a nap.

I got this as a sample from sephora. Some of it spilled on my hand when I opened the sample and I hated it so much I had to wash my hands immediately. I never get headaches from perfumes and this gave me a killer one. Only pro was that even washing it off intentionally didn’t get rid of the smell so it is INCREDIBLY long lasting.
The scent was very syrupy sweet and heavy.

I purchased this from Sephora in a collection of five Nest fragrances. It is absolutely lovely. The individual notes in Indigo blend beautifully together to provide the perfect combination of fruit and sultry woods, with the fruit, oddly, to me smelling a bit of fresh pineapple initially. Then calming to a berry-maybe raspberry. The fruitiness submits quickly, however, to the wonderful spice and woods, with just a hint of fresh fruit remaining. Gorgeous.

    My absolute favorite scent.
I love sweet smells but find most perfumes with fruity notes syrupy, childish, or “bath and body works”esque. Nest Indigo is none of those. The fig combines with bergamot to give this frag a tart, adult sweetness made complex by the strong note of tea and grounded by what I assume to be cashmere (I don’t know woody smells well).
The result is sweet but sophisticated, sensual and adult – never twee. I get a lot of compliments from men when I wear this one.

This was a blind buy. My daughter was tired of my spicy warm scents of the winter (elixir des merveilles, Kenzo jungle l’elephant, Armani code, etc.) so I got the perfume expert at sephora to choose three perfumes based on my favorites and let my daughter pick her favorite. This was the winner. To me, the dry down is soapy fig; but it’s a warm, sweet smelling perfume for sunny days and I don’t hate it. I wish the cardamon stuck around to give it more bite.

The design of the bottle portrays the fragrance well. It’s like becoming lost in a forest in the dark. This is a fragrance driven by nature and there’s nothing synthetic about it. Such a nice change from everything vanilla, powder and apricot. I enjoy how fresh the citrusy bergamot is on my skin, but I actually think I prefer the drydown on my clothes better. This perfume can probably be worn all year round.

This is nice if you like citrus and woods together. Its fresh and citrusy from the start but far too soon cycles into spicier and woodsier notes. there is some sweetness from the fig but its not really a sweet fragrance. I would say this is almost unisex and can be worn for any occasion, year around.
I am more into sweeter vanilla fragrances but this is worth trying

Beautiful scent with no shelf life. I had a rollerball that I bought in March of this year and it turned cloudy and smelled off this morning, 9 months later. Won’t repurchase, such a shame.

The first second: cardamom hits me instantly, maybe because I’m very familiar with it from cooking Indian food at home. I sense fig as well, but that takes another minute to open up fully. 2 mins: the tea is introducing itself. Hello there! Reminds me of all those sickly sweet green tea frags that were ubiquitous a decade ago, remember those? But this tea is much more sophisticated blended with the fig and the cardamom and an undercurrent of w
