Like a “friendly” version of Chanel No 5. No sharp edges from aldehydes or dark recesses from oak moss or civet. No vetiver. What’s left is a heady white flower floating on a base of vanilla. Very classy, highly wearable. Layers well with the other white-flower scents, e.g., Rodier.

EDP: Immense is misnamed. This is a sweetheart of a scent. It is quite sweet, without being gooey. It is rich without being intimidating. On my skin it is not powdery at all, but rather a clear heliotrope/vanilla accord, supported in the heart by a touch of gardenia (just a touch!) and sandalwood appears in the dry down.
Warm, sweet, rich, but not complex. And yet this is thoroughly enjoyable. I wear Immense on gloomy, rainy days, when I need a little sunshine in a bottle, or a hug. This is a friendly scent, not one for when you want to impress, but a scent made for cuddling up on the couch with a cup of tea and a loved one (furry or otherwise).
I find the sillage to be between light and moderate- people have to lean in towards me to detect it. But very long lasting, and always enjoyed by everyone who notices Immense!
I normally hate sweet scents, but Immense is perfect for those days where informality rules, and comfort is needed. It is also, in my opinion, a good starter scent for the friend who is addicted to gourmands, and desperately needs an introduction to non-edible scents—you know who I’m talking about!

I got this bottle (EDT concentration) in a very nice swap with the aforementioned Relle.
This is a very simple fragrance, but not boring in the least. This is primarily a strong, velvety Peony masquerading as an Orchid. I’d be happy to grow orchids that smell like this. Anyway, there is Peony everywhere, and the perfume wears pleasantly strong at first. By the time an hour passes, it becomes less loud and outright floral, but it adds a pinch of wood, while becoming a bit creamier. After several more hours the wood becomes more and more apparent, and then the perfume smells like flowers in a fairy tale growing next to an old-growth tree–I mean–not quite real, but pleasing nonetheless.
Lasting power is VERY good, sillage is pleasant. I don’t understand why this isn’t more popular. All of the stages of this perfume are so pretty.

Immense is an supersized orchid monster, good monster, not a baddie. Like the New York City style bottle, this is the big apple of orchids. The sillage of my edt wears like a niche edp. It softens to a slightly spicy, sandalwood cloud. It’s good for any season, but especially warming for brisk days. I’d just barely amp up the spray for evening wear. I have an extra bottle I’d be willing to swap, if anyone’s interested. Not your run-of-the-mill fume.

Can someone clarify if they reviewed EDT or EDP? I really want to try EDP as well.
Ok, i bought EDP. Review is coming soon…

Oh well, not for me. Blind buy giant bottle and so disappointing- not bad but just not good enough to wear twice when so many more interesting beautiful and yummy choices are available. Has a bit of the same cheap heavy drugstore vanilla note that I detect in Bob Mackie’s Masquerade and Nuits Indiennes but not nearly as heavy or cloying. This is boring on skin and I’m not keen on it on paper. Just really common and familiar but not in a comforting way, with that annoying cheap note hanging around from start to finish.

I am wearing it again today, after about a month’s break, and I must admit I like it a lot more this time. I still don’t think the name fits this fragrance as it is not really at the level of something big,but it is a very nice warm ambery scent. Great for casual wear. The projection is enough to be noticed in the crowd, and the longevity is above average: pretty impressive for EDT.
It’s good sometimes to take a break from non stop abuse of your nose by testing and rediscover what you already have in your collection.

For some reason it reminds me of Amarige Mariage, but a quieter version of it. I think it can be suitable for warmer days too. Overall, nice fragrance.
I wore it most of the day today, and interestingly, it reminded me of Cinema by YSL for some reason, then Lady Caron. It has a very decent lasting power for EDT. Nice scent, but i don’t think i will repurchase it again. I don’t think it has enough originality and individuality. All i think while wearing it is that it is very reminiscent of something I already have.

This is a very warm scent on my skin, so much that I feel the heat in my nose, when I sniff my wrist. It took me a while to realize that I am smelling a lot of sandalwood, but it’s not a straightforward sandalwood scent on my skin. It’s complicated and feminine, and very warm.

Still I hear nobody about this perfume, but I know a lot of gorgeous ladies here that adore the Orchid!! So ladies, do not miss out on this wonderful gem. As far as I’m concerned, every Scherrer is a GEM.

I firstly have to say that this is the UGLIEST fragrance bottle I have ever seen, let alone owned. It’s HUGE – tall & awkward. Ugly cap & indented “city”.
If I ever need a good weapon when walking past my collection, the Immense bottle will be the first thing I pick up – it would knock out a bull.
Now for the scent, Immense is a spicy floriental which is quite powdery. It seems to be a mixture of Nuits de Scherrer, S de Scherrer & Scherrer 2 all in one.
On my skin, it started out creamy, then I got the florals & then the spice. I have to get used to the florals with the both though.
At the end it was quite spicy, in a very nice way. It also lasted a long time.
I think it would be nice for casual days, and work.
    Give it a try!
