This fragrance is amazing! Very unique and distinctive. It’s warm, creamy, oriental and spicy. It also has quite a masculine side to it. I can see how people say that it has a cola smell to it, I get that too cola and grape with a warm, creamy, spicy base to it.
I am a huge fan of Lolita Lempicka and she has yet again smashed it with this perfume.
I did blind buy this but it may not be to everyone’s taste. I got the large bottle online for approx £35 and I was lucky as I am in love with this fragrance. I am quite open minded with perfumes and i do blind buy a lot of them. I have blind bought around 30 fragrances, and only 2 of them I have not liked.
To me this perfume is perfect for a date night or a night out. A very alluring and seductive, sexy fragrance. One to stand out from the crowd.

I see where people would get the “cola” smell. But to me this smells like Shalimar with a large dose of peony in it. It’s like someone took shalimar and mixed it with extra cloves and peony. I do get the patchouli and that really enhances the spiciness. I don’t think this is masculine at all. There’s also something- probably the cloves that reminds me of Coco before it was reformulated. It is very strong and a little goes a long way. I do think I love this and it’s something I will wear during the day in the winter but it has heavy sillage and is very strong so while I love this I could see some people thinking it’s too much. I actually bought this for the bottle but I love it SO much! It was a pleasant surprise.

Masculine coca-cola. Also the bottle is so fussy and annoying. Just the flower shape would’ve been enough, but no, a fussy lid AND a horrid fussy bow as well! Plus it’s got about eight names! God forbid an elixir version of this comes out. Or a L’eau. What a dog’s dinner this entire thing is, everything but the kitchen sink.

Smells like the original Mexican coco-cola in the glass bottle. Those of you familiar with this delicious drink will understand. I mean this in a positive way. Its sweeter than the original and a little less complex but has the same pink pepper. It’s both dark and effervescent. I find this fragrance and the original weird and unique, but very wearable.

The opening part is strange and very unique smell,I sometimes crave and enjoy it but all in all can’t say that I’m crazy about it as a perfume.it’s a very fizzy and boozy scent smelling exactly like Coca cola drink with a slight herbaceous and spicy undertone,if I want to liken it to something I’d say a few drops of Seven-up drink and a bit of pink pepper mixed in a glass of Coca Cola, maybe it’s pink pepper blending with mandarin and amber,I really donno what creates it just that the result is this familiar,nose-tickling,intresting scent which while being sweet is totally unisex in my book(after all,how can Coca cola have a gender?!)
It changes dramatically as middle notes kick in,that unique spicy, sour and sweet, fizzy and boozy,Coca cola-ish smell of opening becomes very light and lingers in background and soft, fluffy heliotrope and sweetpea become dominant.I love heliotrope and sweetpea so as a perfume I start to like it more
These florals are wrapped by warm, spicy, powdery amber and herbal patchouli and some vanilla in drydown,it’s more feminine than it’s first stage and is very pleasant and has a lovely balance.it’s sweet but not too much and I can smell almost all the mentioned notes but I can’t call it a heavily floral scent,or too much spicy.also even though patchouli and amber deepen the scent and give it this warm, spicy, balmy, attractive and a bit dark quality, they don’t overpower
I can see lolita si gene here, but this one is darker and warmer but still has very unique, soft and fresh quality of the original
It’s very pleasant.not too sweet, not too spicy,it has it’s own personality which is elegant, sophisticated and seductive but in a casual and easy going way…it’s one of scents that I find very hard to explain.it’s scent is as unique as it’s bottle.unique but easy to like and wearable
For me,this is a fall scent, good for cool temperature, but is wearable year round except too much hot summer days.longevity is good as most lolitas and sillage is moderate
My best friend gave me a generous decant of it and I plan to buy it when I finished my decant(however it’s kind of difficult to find here)
    edit:
Finally I bought a bottle.I can’t call it an absolute love but it’s addictive and I needed a bottle of it in my life.it’s Cola-like opening is delightful and it’s deep, comforting dry down is cozy and beautiful.I can smell lots of heliotrope and lots of sweet pea which smell amazing grounded by peppery amber-patchouli base notes

This fragrance changes a lot depending on weather. Sometimes I smell mostly pepper, sometimes I get more patchouli and amber. Rarely I get a strange note reminding me of coca-cola. I do not know which note is responsible for this effect. The fragrance is deep and sweet at the same time, but not candy sweet. It makes me think of fairies and mythical creatures.

Just sprayed this on. Reminds me of relaxing days at the spa, sauna with patchouli essential oil. 🙂 Rather refreshing.
    Now waiting for the drydown…
Next day edit: Okay, this is longlasting! I took a shower, put a banana&coconut lotion on and Oriflame’s Love Potion when I left the house today and I can still smell Lolita on my wrist. I tried it yesterday! I can’t believe it’s still here after all that “treatment”.

I am bemused by so many saying this smells like Si. It does a little for obvious reasons but this is a sexy scent of the night. I love the sweet pea note and it combines so well with the patch and amber. There is nothing girly about this fragrance. Its rich and delectable. The vanilla and pepper accent the fragrance beautifully. Its in my top 10 fragrances. So so sad it was discontinued. Moderate sillage and long longevity.

  9. :

The sweet pea is lovely in this, and the Amber is distinctive and a touch medicinal so it stands out from the original. It lasts well and projects well too. However it’s not so different that you need both the original and this one at the same time.

  10. :

Upon spraying, the pink pepper is very noticeable, and gives my nose a nice tickle. Combined with mandarin, it’s bright and kind of sharp. As it wears off and the floral notes develop, I feel like I smell dark cherries and fizzy wine! It’s so witchy and scrumptious. Patchouli is present throughout the first few hours, although it mostly wears off by the time the base comes through. The end is smooth, delicate, and nutty.
The wicked beginning sharply contrasts the fluffy ending!
And the bottle is to die for.

I am usually not a fan of frilly or fussy bottles but this bottle is amazing! It’s heavy quality glass and it fits so good in your hand allowing a great grip. I just love how visually appealing this bottle is, really nice quality.
Now on to what’s in it. It is Si Lolita, just as you expect, full blown pepper opening all thought it does seem toned down a notch compared to the original. This does have a more dark purple vibe to it like it has plum of some dark sweet fruit. Or maybe it is just the sweet pea and patchouli playing a number on my mind with the purple bottle. This is richer and a bit sweeter than the original Si but it still has a unisex quality to it. I prefer it to the original.

Si Lolita eau de Minuit is another fairytale creation coming from Lolita Lempicka. It is similar to Si Lolita but it’s a little more edgy and deep, the reason for that are amber and pacthoulli. It opens very peepery the same as Si Lolita and it lasts for about 5 hours on my skin. I like to wear fragrances like that on the days before the storm, when it gets dark and windy and you can smell the freshness of the earth and you think oh, it’s a witch hour, time for darker version of Si Lolita. The bottle is gorgeous and I totaly dig the purple witchy colour. I don’t have anything bad to say about this one other than I’m so happy I own it.

I was on the fence with Si Lolita, but with Illusions Noires Si Lolita Eau de Minuit I was in love immediately. This lovely fragrance has a ‘purple’ essence. I highly recommend this beautiful creation.

Absolutely lovely scent. It was a blind buy and it’s one of my favourites now. Stronger than Si Lolita and I love it so much I wear it during the day, although I would recommend wearing at night/cold weather.
Lolita Lempicka perfumes are truly different, but in a good way. I am new to perfumes, so I can’t really describe how it smells, I did watch a review someone describing the original Si Lolita as a fragrance she would wear if she was meeting her secret lover… well, this one is meeting your secret lover when you are dying to see him at midnight. Not for the shy.

When I sprayed it first time, it made me smile. That is rare with me.
At the very beginning, I keep thinking of cherries which I generally dislike but here is mingled with earthy, sweet but not sugary, slightly bitter, with a tiny hint of fallen leaves. It results in a great smell.
Imagine being in a twilight forest filled with cherries, thymes, marjoram, sweet peas, fallen leaves after a very hot day. It’s quite addictive. In spite of me liking to change my perfumes every day I cannot stop using it.
    Update
After a year of using it it has become my favourite one as it combines spicy peppers, sweet peas with a hint of warm wood so well and develops into ever interesting fragrance with such a great longevity and make me feel happy. This has a personality like a fairy with a sensual earthy radiance. Warning though. It is addictive.

Wow – Ok – this is way different to anything in my collection! I’m not sure what I’m smelling but it’s completely unfamiliar to me… Slightly sweet but a soft fragrance – not overwhelming or sharp at all. Slightly floral but I think the main note I am getting seems to be something like grape?? Maybe that’s the sweet pea – I really need to study which notes smell like what so I can identify them properly!! As this fragrance is settling down, it’s becoming warmer and more familiar. I sampled Vintage Poison Extrait a couple of hours ago and, although I thought I scrubbed it all off, I’m now wondering whether that is combining with the Illusions Noires Si Lolita Eau de Minuit because I’m picking up similarities between the two… If it’s not Poison I’m smelling, then Illusions Noires Si Lolita Eau de Minuit does seem vaguely similar to me just fresher and softer. Although the scent is very odd to me right now, I can see myself growing to like this – perhaps craving it even!
UPDATE: It’s been about 3 or 4 hours since I sprayed this on now and I think I’m changing my mind – I no longer think this will grow on me – quite the opposite actually. On me the dry down is becoming more and more florally as time goes on and I’m not a fan of full-on florals. I’m not getting the vanilla at all – I’m not even getting any patchouli – just a heady floral that is actually becoming cloying. So unless this is still a result of having had Poison on previously, I don’t think Illusions Noires Si Lolita and I have a future! Darn it, this may be my first Blind Buy that’s really gone bad! : (

Just wondering why there’re only 4 notes listed there. I got a tester yesterday when their made a discount. These are the notes listed on the label attached with the bottle:
    Top: Mandarin – Pink peppercorn
    Middle: Sweet pea -Heliothrope
Base: Amber – Vanilla absolute – Patchouli
This’quite different from the note list in fragrantica right? I think the list in fragrantica is not correct as I see many ppl can detect the pink peppercorn (one of the missed notes) in this perfume
Anyway, I like this perfume, although I bought it because it’s discounted and limited edition. Lucky me 😀

It’s a must have!! Really! For me it’s a comb of DKNY Delicious Night and Si Lolita mixed with grapes! A lot of grapes!! Though there is no such note here… It’s really different from the original Si Lolita. I’m just so happy to smell a flanker that has a unique soul of it’s own and stands out from the original one! Very much recommended!! It’s sexy, a little dark and actually a unique scent, nothing like anything i smelled before…Good job Lolita Lempicka!

Another LL blind-buy, based on reviews, notes, and the fact that LL perfumes seem to do very well on my skin. I have tried four or five now and all of them have been delightful. I actually have never tried the original Si Lolita before, but based on how much I like this one I may have to try it next.
Until the amber warms up this is a bit harsh, but once it does it blends with the vanilla and sweet pea to be sweet, rich, and nearly alcoholic. The patchouli is present but not super-assertive. As this settles on me it turns into more of the vanilla/sweet pea scent with an amber spice in the background, which I absolutely love. This is a boozy fragrance, almost like a cologne centered around cognac or rum, but in a distinctly feminine way.

This is one seriously delectably tasty scent.
Thick, foggy, smoggy, slightly smoked. Boozy as a bottle of, well, booze.
I could get drunk on this. It’s as thick as treacle and evokes visions of fireworks lighting up the sky by a lakeside in the dead of night.
Tart & tangy, with a heap of spice. A hefty helping of…. Peppery cinnamon?
The patchouli seems to add a smoky and earthy element to this, which sets it subtly apart from the regular Si Lolita EDP, which I also enjoy. The thickness and smoothness in this version is aided well by the lashings of amber.
Cloudier, heavier, less peppery & thus not as well suited for daytime wear, but it is a hairline difference to my nose. They are both extremely sweet. Sweetness in the extreme.
The original EDP and this are literally translated correctly for daytime and evening wear. Or summer and winter wear, say.
The added spice and heaviness of this makes it the preferred choice for me personally. It lasts an hour or two longer on my skin than the original EDP – which is a clincher.
As others have noted – there seems to be something a little fruity here. Something that’s not present in the original. I believe that the boozy effect this emits is down to this unknown, unspoken fruit. Possibly baked blackcurrant & apple? Tasty, warm, spicy.
So sweet and tangy, it could give you a toothache…. Or melt your skin.

  21. :

The oppening reminds me the Si Lolita EdP, but after this one becomes different… more sensual and sexy, while the Si Lolita is very delicate and warm.
Anyway, its a very beautiful perfume. I really love it! 🙂

The opening burst is VERY similar to the original Si Lolita, and then the initial drydown has the same sparkling amber quality that L’ambre des Merveilles and Daim Blond do to me. ‘Fizzy’, almost. I would swear there was a hefty dose of pink pepper here, spicy sweet and yummy. The similarity to the original and L’ambre des Merveilles is surprising on my skin!

  23. :

    5 out of 5

First of all, I expected totally different scent – something more sweet than this.
It smells much like classical Si Lolita, but it’s more amber and incense.
At the beginning a little bit unisex but after 5 min. it has started reminding me smell of Luxe Noir Sephora – that black massage jelly.
Bottle and box are beautiful – love Lolita’s style, chic and advertisement.

It turns out that Lolita Lempicka Illusions Noires Si Lolita Eau de Minuit is a completely different perfume from its namesake! No elemi; no pepper! Instead, this is a sweet pea perfume similar to the BBW version of that scent, only with some ambery quality. I do not smell a lot in the way of patchouli here. Hmmm… do I smell any patchouli?
To my nose, the quality of this limited edition juice seems more like BBW than standard Lolita Lempicka fare. Yet somehow I find this particular composition more appealing than the original, because it is more balanced… The original was so heavy in both elemi and pepper that I found it difficult to wear.
Love the bottle–as usual with this line.

I’ve so many things to say about it but “words don’t come easy to me”.
Warm, elegant, feminine in an adult way and very beautiful.
It has the vibe of regular Si Lolita, just darker, deeper, warmer. I smell some delicious black currant note to it. Reminds me a hot black currant drink in a tall glass with spices made by the person you love (and he(maybe she) has added some secret and magic ingredient), cookies and warm blanket on your feet. A warm, thick love syrup.
Modern, gourmand chypre. Lovely for cold season.
The bottle is a wonder, as allways from Lolita Lempicka. A French careless and really sophisticated elegance!

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This bottle is by far one of the nicest in my collection.
The design of it is beautiful, has something fanciful in a four-leaf clover in a purple / burgundy so dark it looks black. The box is beautiful and matches the handkerchief on the neck, everything is the same first line.
I would even say that it would be one of the most beautiful gifts that u could give to a woman, but do not advise it is the most eccentric scent I’ve ever felt.
The input it has such a sweet pea, she is earthy, sometimes sick and sweet, is the most striking note, absolutely different from any perfume that I have or have already esperimentado (and I’m already getting the 200, to be an idea, out samples, but take into account that I collect miniatures, hence the exaggeration).
If you hang in that first half hour, patchouli’ll help, calming a bit this damn sweet pea. Still going to be sweet, because he has amber and vanilla in the composition (or think they needed to exaggerate so rsrsr). After an hour, softens, becomes less “sweet Lolita” and from there I really like him, very much.
This perfume has the face of a woman hippie chic with loose braids in her hair, with a flamboyant personality who likes things kinky.
Not advise a purchase blind, never, it is hard to find and when u import will be tempted to just buy the 100 mls, which was what I did not know if it’s a good idea because this is not a brand perfume ‘every day’.
Already tested in the morning and use it without coffee, and stand a good rest of the day, then, for me, it is not cloying.
Fixing it is good and if not I would use to design more lol
I think of layering with any other perfume, so I can use it more without nauseate the smell, but still not sure what I could use, I think maybe a woody and dry.
    Sorry for my english…

I tried this recently in France. I really prefer the original Si Lolita, I love it. On me the eau de Minuit smelled similar but with something that smelled like grape juice added in, I didn’t like it.

I love this. On me it smells like an ambery patchouli laced woody musk. It is a tad masculine but that is one of the things I enjoy most about it. I would imagine wearing this one in the Spring/Summer would be a tad much unless it was only at night. But for Fall/Winter this would be absolutely divine!

  29. :

I’m surprised that there are many negative and so-so reactions on this one. I love it just like the original. The difference i find are in warmth and the time when you can use them. The original i find playful and fresh, and the dark one is more sofisticated and warm.
    …o yeah, i adore bottles!

Masculine smelling like the mens lolita lempicka.
Anise is prominent, sweet warm and earthy. Not my cup of tea.
Also reminds me of the discontinued Gucci in the dark brown flat squarish bottle: Gucci Eau de Parfum Gucci for women

I tried the original version (not sure edp or edt) last year at a shopping mall and thought oh NOOO this is horrible!!! When I see the picture of this midnight version on the internet I’m obsessed as I love the bottle but don’t wanna waste money on a frag I can’t wear. Finally I surrendered and decided to try my luck for a blind buy. To my surprise, I love the juice as much as I love the bottle! The scent is–I must admit–nothing unique, so you can pass it if your looking for something to blow you away. However I love this perfume as a personal comforter on a cold winter night. On me it’s neither sharp or masculine. It’s a sweet, soft, powdery and feminine oriental scent, rather linear but totally enjoyable. Patchouli comes most prominent and is well smoothened by vanilla so doesn’t smell earthy or heavy. Sweet pea stands from beginning to end but not as loud as other notes, which makes this perfume not so floral but more towards a musky oriental. Amber here is quite light and surprisingly perky, not so woodsy but still leaves a classy and sensual touch with its warmth.
I don’t find this perfume ‘dark’ but agree this to be best for evening wear. The lasting power is as good as other LL perfumes yet not a sillage monster.

Hi everyone..I just recently purchased a bottle of this from France. The pink pepper is a bit much for me. It is a beautiful midnight version of Si Lolita. Please message me if your interested…it is for sale….possible swap for Chanel Coromandel or Bois des Iles.

  33. :

The opening reminds me of the EDP. I’m surprised no pink pepper note is listed, because I thought I smelled it along with the sweet pea! The heart is sharp on me and feels rough, but it softens and becomes woody-musky-ambery in the dry down. I had high hopes for this one, but just like the EDP and EDT, it’s not quite perfect on me.

Definitely a Noir version of Si Lolita. To me it is spicy. The sweet pea is nice, love the patchouli..very, very dark. Not your everyday scent, great for fall. Very classy.
