This is not a rose fragrance to me in the top, but wait for it. It is very deep and not like Idylle. I immediately smell the synthetic odd ambrette note and a skanky animalic almost fetid musk with some rose that is more like damp mulched leaves in fall. It reminds me of the Jicky and L’Heure DNA. It is very very very soft and very much a skin scent. The rose comes more in the drydown but it is not a typical rose, not jammy, not quite green.More of a sour rose. I like it!

According to Guerlain website, this is a Chypre Floral called L’Extrait. It is composed of Rose Essence (the light rose used in all Idylle’s), and Rose Absolute (a denser rose); Ambrette and Musk (from the hibiscus).
