Description

Jessica Simpson and Parlux present a new fragrance from the Fancy line in 2011. After the original Fancy from 2008, Fancy Love from 2009 and Fancy Nights from 2010, here comes the I Fancy You edition. I Fancy You is described as a soft and velvety floral – musky scent.

The composition is created by Cecile Hua of MANE. The fragrance opens with fruity notes of Fuji apple and pear. The heart is made of white flowers such as tuberose and lily of the valley, settling at the woody – musky sandalwood base.

The light blue bottle is adorned with cute silver heart-shaped applications. I Fancy You is available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This stuff smells so good! I definitely smell red delicious apples and juicy pears. It is sweet and pretty. And long-lasting too! Some others made a light blue reference? Absolutely not, in my opinion. Light blue smells like Lemon Pledge on me. Ack! This is beautiful.

Does this seem like a Light Blue knock off to you or is it just me?

    Soapy, lemony, detergent style scent.

What a gem!!! Blindly picked this up at TJ Maxx and what a pleasant surprise! Light, fresh, clean, floral goodness. Definitely different than anything I’ve smelled before. Makes me think of a crisp white sheet that’s been air-dried in a field of flowers. LOVE

Love IT fresh! Smells just like when u spray mac fix spray. That in a perfume bottle!

This is hyacinth, apple & musk. Its very pretty. Its only lasts about 4 hours but since I got the 1.7 oz bottle for $13 I really cant complain. I love hyacinth & bought Burberry weekend because of it. Weekend can be pretty harsh & not relaxing or beautiful to wear. The apple & musk in I Fancy You really balances this & makes it so pretty.

This is a little fun and breezy gem! It just smells darn good! It may be generic to some but who cares! The bottle is pretty too! I’d describe it as a light fresh floral with a little apple vibe running through it. Lasts reasonably well too!
Sandalwood and musk in the base makes for a nice drydown!

Very distinctive combination of hyacinth, red apple and pear. Those are the three notes that I smelled the entire time on my skin. The hyacinth definitely stood out a little more. Very pretty and fresh floral fruity frag for summer. I also like the pale blue/lilac bottle, matching with the vibe of the juice inside that I enjoy very much. I Fancy You does have some resemblances to Fancy Girl which I also adore.
I Fancy You is perfect to pair with a cute floral sundress while licking strawberry ice cream cone and walking down the street on a hot summer afternoon 🙂

This scent is a pure gem!! I believe that the Hyacinth is really what makes this scent shine and stand out so much for me. It is crazy how wonderful the Hyacinth, apple and musk blend is gorgeous! I absolutely love this!

It reminds me a little of Lanvin Eclat de Arpege. it’s nice but nothing groudbreaking.

A fresh pear and apple scent. Like Fancy Girl I don’t care for the name really, maybe Fresh Fancy would suit! I love the Fancy line and this is no exception even if it is a bit safe unlike it’s more complex sisters. It’s a good everyday perfume and unlikely to offend anyone.

I’ve had this for several years. It’s a real crowd pleaser. I don’t think I’ve ever worn this without getting a compliment. It’s as fresh as the day I purchased it. It’s great any time of the year. I would think warm weather to be best for this but not so. This lasts and is strong enough for the coldest of winters. This 3.4 ounce bottle for 15.00 is as important in my collection as my all time favorites. I truly do not understand how anyone can not see the beauty in this pretty little gazing bottle full of daydreaming delacacies.

I’m trying this mid summer, in the cooler afternoon.
I have on also the fancy love one with the peach note.
this I would say is a soft green fresh floral fragrance. I had on another arm earlier in the day a burberry touch tender which is louder I think. but that was mid day with all the heat and sweat etc.
when I walk and put my nose right up into my elbow I get a rounded rose scent. when I sniff in general I don’t get the rose.
on me this is NOT a fruity, that is perhaps in the background as support, I get a green clean laundry scent, which is very pleasant.
its much softer than the fancy love option I have on but was sprayed at the same time – about 6pm, its now midnight. Not bad and lasted longer than the burberry

I’m a Fancy lover, so thought I’d give this flanker a whirl when I saw it very cheaply on ebay.
Its nothing ground breaking, not a ‘love’, and nothing in the world like Fancy (although you’d know that from the notes listed). And perfumistas will no doubt scoff at this slightly synthetic, laundry-floral scent. But I quite like it!
There is a definite place in my fragrance wardrobe for light, inoffensive, clean scents. I’m wearing it at work today and its doing the job.
Sillage is light-moderate. Longevity – turns to a skin scent after a couple of hours, but lingers for a couple more.
(The name makes me simultaenously cringe/giggle)

I have had this for almost two years have maybe used it 4-5 times. I was hoping for a fresh aquatic floral when I bought this, but unfortunately it is just a sharp chemical blast followed by a semi-pleasant very light floral-musk scent. I can’t pin down any particular note, but I am a bit disappointed.
    But the bottle is adorable.

This is a nice clean smell. Reminiscent of fresh laundry or stepping out of a shower. To me, I somehow get a soft rose fragrance on my skin when I wear it. It’s great for casual days but it’s not terribly interesting. Doesn’t last long either, it’s cheap enough to reapply tho.

I bought this after I fell in love with Fancy and Fancy Love and couldn’t find Fancy Girl in the discount stores. I tried it once or twice and couldn’t wear it again because it smells like Windex to me. I will say that I smelled it on someone else and thought, “Hmmm. Maybe it’s not *that* bad. On her it smells like floral Windex”. But I still haven’t worn it again.

  18. :

nice clean fragrance, I own this one it isn’t a must have but isn’t bad at all you can wear this everyday.

IMO- I found this to be very chemical and synthetic. There was something about this that was just not right. When I read the reviews about this smelling like bathroom cleaner I had to agree. This is not an unpleasant smell, just not the right smell for me.

I fancy you is a fun, fresh, crisp lily of the valley that is perfect for a warm spring or hot summer day & could be worn by any girl or woman for any occasion. But for me, the best part is the dry down, which turns into a completely different scent. 8-10 hours, after I can no longer detect the original scent, and even the next morning, I fancy you becomes a beautiful fresh (not soapy) musk skin scent that wafts up to greet me. I love this little shape shifter! I have all four of Jessica Simpson’s Fancy line of perfumes and all of them have a place in my seasonal rotation, & work beautifully with my moods & body chemistry. I Fancy you is easily found at all the discount stores for a steal and the bottle is as pretty as the juice!

  21. :

    Fresh green and clean
Sits close it skin on first spray, but reapply it in the same spot after about half an hour and it makes it last longer
Great if you haven’t got any fresh perfumes, start with this inexpensive gem.
Or, if you have several more expensive freshperfumes, this one you could take with you to reapply later in the day… or leave at work.

  22. :

This is straight up hairspray on me, and out of the bottle. I don’t get any of the flower notes. I may have a spoiled bottle. I purchased it brand new, at a discount. Maybe it came from a hot warehouse. Also, I think pear notes are a problem for me. They don’t seem to smell nice to me and overpower any scent they are in. I plan to try it again. But so far it’s just like hairspray.

  23. :

This perfume is watery !!!! The longetivety is very weak..although I like the clean white floral scents…

  24. :

    4 out of 5

When I first got this perfume I thought it was a nice, fresh perfume. I liked it, but didn’t think it was all that special. I thought it would be more like just a body spray.
However, as I began to wear it out and about, I began to get many compliments. Almost every time I wear this perfume now, someone comments on how good I smell, and they ask what I’m wearing. When I tell them it’s a Jessica Simpson perfume, they are nearly always surprised.
I have never worn a perfume that has garnered so much attention. Of course, that has changed my original opinion of it, and I have begun to appreciate it more. It does smell nice and fresh, and seems to work with my body chemistry in a very good way.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Clean, floral, fresh and slightly soapy. Not fruity (and/or tart) but there are some weak hints of apples and pears in it. Spring & summer scent/frag.
It’s well-composed, beautiful and something I wouldn’t mind wearing but it’s not (too) unique… It’s actually very similar to Curious by Britney Spears.
Although it’s more suitable for day time, I’d want to smell like this before I go to bed and after a shower, haha.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

All i smell was white flowers, it was just flat, innocent scent but flat to me.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

I have a mini of this and I like it, but not enough to purchase a full size bottle when this one runs out. It’s nothing terribly special, but it’s not awful either. It’s just kind of there. Longevity is decent on me, I got about 4 hours on my skin. It’s nice for spring and summer when you don’t know what to reach for. This is very inoffensive, I can’t see anyone thinking this is overbearing. So perhaps it would be good for an office type setting.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

I like the notes in this perfume, BUT, they are way too much together. The Hyacinth and Lilly-of-the valley are overkill for this fragrance. This perfume irritates me.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

I have tried multiples of Jessica Simpson’s perfumes and liked or loved most of them, especially Fancy, Fancy Love, and Fancy Nights. I Fancy You is sadly the exception to the rule.
It opens with some sharpness. There is a fresh pear/apple scent to it with some florals. It seems fresh and light when I first wear it. I would classify this as a summer/office type of scent. However, when the fragrance warms up on my skin, I get this odd dirt type of note to it that isn’t pleasant. I have tried it multiple times to see if I could change my opinion, but it is not working for me.
Before that though, it has a very refreshing laundry-type of smell.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

The Hyacinths! Oh the middle of I Fancy You is superlative!
My collection contains only Simpson’s Fancy and now her I Fancy You.
On my body, the fruity/green leaf introduction manifests as slightly sweet rain or spring water. To my nose, the opening is very comparable to D&G Light Blue, as everyone has suggested.
Then, 15 min later, I’m cloaked in HYACINTHS (and a bit of lily of the valley, too.)
For my body chemistry this is a wonderful, clean fragrance. On my skin, I get 10 hours. How: Showered skin, Fragrance-Free moisturizer, Three sprays (inner elbows or backs of knees plus lower spine.) I live in an area with very humid but mild summer weather, so that helps perfumes last forever.
The longest layer on my body is definitely the middle. If you like hyacinths, give it a go.

  31. :

This is definitely a try before you buy fragrance because I’m glad I did. There’s no nice way to say it, so I’m just going to come out and just say it. This smells like windex. A shame really because all the notes in this fragrance are notes I enjoy in other fragrances. Yet, this is how it wears on me.
    Win some lose some. NEXT!!

I found this at Marshalls today on clearance for 12.00 but passed because they have a no return policy once opened (prob the only store that does that still) but reading here I wish I would of picked it up :/
OK so I went today to buy this… I hate Marshalls because of their return policy – you cannot return opened fragrances which almost everywhere now will let you do. Anyway, since this seems very hard to find, I thought I better get it. I LOVE Fancy and Fancy Love but did not like Fancy Nights —
I get the fruit, pear and apple in the beginning and this does not last long until you get to the middle (notes) and they last the strongest and longest on me
It’s a lot more strong than what reviewers have mentioned (to me). This is almost cloying in the middle and I think I will only be able to wear this on the back of my knees because on my wrists it was making me a bit nauseous. It is musk and white floral. I love the bottle, very pretty!
It’s still cold here… I will keep trying this
…but I think that even though on clearance, I would return this (?) possibly if I were allowed to :/ >.<
One last thing – this reminds me of MJ Daisy 😉

Light, bright, easy to wear. Beautiful bottle. Very different from the powdery and romantic Fancy Love.
Perfect for spring and summer use, and great for office.

I purchased a 4 pack of JS minis and this was the only scent I like. I find it to be light, somewhat floral but cheerful. This is very different then Fancy and variations. A safe blind buy I would say.

I purchased a four pack of miniatures of four of JS’s fragrances-this was one of them. I had never smelled any of her perfumes so I figured why not. Well, I can not stand the smell of any of the fragrances. My eight year old daughter and her friends love playing with my makeup and perfume so I let them keep all of the JS minis I had. The notes in this sound like it would be incresible- but its not.

  38. :

I cannot smell it after an hour! It has a fresh smell, not sweet like the original Fancy.
Perfume is ok, but similar to other fragrances.
Identical to J.lo’s “Live platinum” except this Fancy perfume does NOT last and J.Lo’s LP does.

I fancy you is a very pretty smell. its clean, refreshing, floral and feminine.

I really enjoyed some other Jessica’s perfumes, but this one is just not working for me. The lasting power is very weak and to me it smells like a wet dog thoigh I know this is actually a combo of apple and musk. Fortunately it’s more or less just my skin chemistry as my friend tried it and fell in love with it as she is more fond of soft fragrances, so I gave my bottle to her.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

My uncle purchased this for me because he liked the stars on the bottle. This one is way lighter than all the other Fancy perfumes by J Simpson. It is also unisex since it is airy and fresh. It reminds of rain in a flower field. I honestly don’t see how anyone could hate this one. Another thing is you wouldn’t expect this one to be as long lasting as it is. I stop smelling it myself about an hour after I spray it but others can still smell it. I get compliments throughout the day.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

I kept craving a super crisp and fresh fragrance for Summer. What people are saying here is true: the lasting power is next to nothing and it smells like a nice shampoo. I Fancy You is apples and some flowers and a huge dose of freshness.
It has been super humid and disgusting here in the Midwest and I’ve been practically bathing in I Fancy You. 10-15 sprays each time! The perfect thing for when Summer is out to make you greasy and cranky.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I only own two of Jessica Simpson’s fragrances. This one and Fancy Nights. So far I am not impressed. I can handle Fancy Night, but this one makes me feel nauseous every time I wear it. I’ve tried to wear it 3 different times now and give it a good chance..but even with just two small spritzes it makes me feel like i’m gonna throw up. I have found the note in a fragrance that does not mix well with me and it is pear. Every time I smell a perfume with pear in it I hate it..which is weird becuse I love pears. As for I Fancy You….I completely hate it. I’ll pass it on to my mom or a friend.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

This was one of my failed blind buys. I read the reviews and thought it sounded like a good cheap thrill. I like fresh, musky, just-showered scents. Unfortunately, the apple note is dominant on me, while the musky base note smells synthetic, and the overall effect is that of a fruity-scented hairspray. So I gave “I Fancy You” to my 7-year-old daughter, and it smells fine on her.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

I thought I made a mistake when I first sprayed this. It smelled like hairspray. But once it dried down it was very beautiful. Fresh and fruity with white florals.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

Awesome blind buy!!!!! Beautiful and soft, perfect Spring/Summer fragrance. It just puts a smile on my face when I smell this on my skin :). The dry down reminds me of being in a flowery meadow filled with beautiful wild flowers on a sunny late morning. Just right for the $6 price at TJ Maxx!

I am a woman who doesn’t care whose name is on a bottle of perfume when deciding whether or not to purchase it. Instead of being a fan of Jessica’s, I had the pleasure of reading many of your eloquent reviews here, and based on those decided to give this perfume a try. (I found it for a LOW price online, too!) I spritzed some on today and I have to admit I liked it a LOT more than I expected to. I’m not usually a big fan of sweet or overly fruity fragrances, so I didn’t know what to expect from this. I was so pleased when I didn’t pick up much sweetness at all, not from the first spray and lasting until the scent was gone from my skin. My nose didn’t notice or identify either the apple or the pear but instead really honed in on the delicious soft florals right away. The floral notes stayed with me as the base notes warmed up…yummy! I really like this one! My only bit of disappointment is how quickly the scent disappeared. I got such low sillage from this one (I practically had to lift my wrist to my nose to smell much of anything), and I would say the smell was entirely gone between the 2-3 hour mark. I think I will use this on warmer days for short outings when a nice fragrance would be nice but nothing more heavy is appropriate. As much as I love the scent overall, I’m not sure if I’ll rebuy just because of the disappointing longevity. I would encourage anyone who enjoys light florals with delicious warm notes to give this one a try.

  48. :

Ok, so I’m going to take the PROS/CONS approach with this review….
    PROS: Really inexpensive
    Cute bottle
    Mostly inoffensive
    CONS: Sharp hairspray opening
    Inoffensive = boring
Lasts 2.5 hours with 7 sprays
I was complimented on this one today, but it really didn’t do anything for me. It is light, fruity, soft. Doesn’t hang around (which can be a good thing, cuz now I get to spray something else on that might be more interesting). That sharp hairspray note is a killer, but thankfully that morphs pretty quickly into fruity-floral territory and I had about a 45 minute window of pleasantness before it descended into pure boring soft dryer sheet scent. My chemistry just does not like this one, that’s for sure.

Id been looking for some kind of crisp fresh scent for spring/summer. I was wavering between this & JLO Still. But after much deliberation, I chose I Fancy You. I put it on & got complimented by the clerks in the store. So i start wearing it, and unbelievable lasting power! The initial burst of freshness & greens is revitalizing. After about 45 mins to 1 hr the apple note REALLY comes thru on my body chemistry & lasts even thru to drydown. The other day I was at my sister’s house and her kids came to hug me (11 year old nefew & 8 year old niece) my nefew refused to let go. He told me “I love hugging you Aunt Lisa, you smell so pretty. Please don’t let go of me!” It definitely got my nefew’s seal of approval…LOL

I blind bought a perfume and body lotion gift set of I Fancy You for $5 at Marshall’s. It’s nice. It’s not a scent that anyone is going to stop and ask you what you’re wearing but it’s fresh and clean. It’s very right-out-of-the-shower smelling and I’ll wear it a lot for that reason alone. It’s not a love for me, but for the price, I won’t complain.

  51. :

I have Fancy & Fancy Love so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with I Fancy You. At first, I was mistaken.
I tried it and right out of the bottle, since it wasn’t what I was expecting, I didn’t like it. I gave it one try, reboxed it and put it in my “gifting to friends” pile.
Then the other night my son was going through a pile of things and found this box. He asked why mommy doesn’t wear this one, since he knows I’m a huge perfumista, and I thanked him for finding it since I’d forgotten about it and it was time for me to give it another try!
I’ve recently implemented a “three strikes, you’re out” policy where I give up after three efforts, sometimes more. I really work a fragrance hard before I just toss it or give it away.
So out came the I Fancy You once again and I was QUITE pleased to see that my tastes have changed and I fell instantly in love! The mild spiciness along with the beautiful exotic-smelling flowers charmed me and I spritzed my pillow and sheets before going to bed. I was still catching whiffs of it this morning as I woke up so looks like it lasts a nice long time on clothes.
I chose this as my fragrance for today and I’ve been very happy with my choice, sniffing my arm all day and enjoying the spices mixed in perfectly with the fruity florals.
This is a beautiful scent but I really wish she’d quit releasing perfumes that smell NOTHING like Fancy yet keep calling them Fancy. She could come up with many other more fitting names as I think this bears zero resemblance to the original.

  52. :

I bought this perfume for ten dollars from TJ MAXX and for some reason I liked it from the moment I opened the box. The perfume comes in a cute clear bottle with pretty little blue specks of hearts. The smell is at first almost milky, like Fancy Love, but there is more of a flowery accent to it. It is very soft, so if you’re wanting to pack a punch and make a statement with your perfume, then this one may not be for you, however, if you’re looking for something soft and flowery for everyday use, then this one is for you.

  53. :

I wonder if I had a bad bottle or if it simply just wasn’t mixing with my chemistry because when I had this all I could smell was tuberose and musk!!!! It didn’t smell nice on me at all after the dry down it was almost chemical like bug spray!! Yuck!!
I ended up donating it but no big loss for me since I had gotten this in a set it on clearance the day after Christmas a few years ago for $9.99 at Kmart..

It’s been a long time since my husband has commented on a fragrance that I am wearing. He commented on this. He really really likes it. Suprising since all my other “not really perfume” smelling scents, he either doesn’t even notice them or, if I force a thought on them, get a, “Well, it smells clean.” I, personally, kind of think this smells a bit like hairspray. I’m not getting fruits, or powder, or sweet. It does last and last. On skin, throughout a whole day, on clothes, many days. Not really a fan but not horribly offended by it either.

  55. :

    4 out of 5

Such a cute little bottle! I purchased the 1.0 Fl Oz as a blind buy for my niece and I am very glad I did. For starters I got this one at TJ Maxx for 5.99 and thats pretty hard to beat. The mini bottle is very sweet with its little details and I hope it will gracefully adorn her new vanity along with the other minis I am sending her. The fragrance itself is not strong at all and in my opinion perfect for folks who have a tendency to over spray anyway. I got no apple or fruit from the first whiff. After the blast of alcohol it smells to me like baby powder, soda fizz, and perhaps some dust and musk. Its a very clean smell.
And yes I open the perfumes I gift to her before I send them. Wouldn’t want a 10 year old smelling like an old tart, right?

  56. :

This was a blind purchase from Marshalls about a year ago that I’ve recently found myself missing. The siligae is pretty bad (I got a set with the body lotion which is of course better when layered together, and I feel it’s almost as strong as the actual perfume), but it’s a perfect year-round scent.
Ever juuusttt so slightly remniscent of Gwen Stefani’s L, my all-time favorite perfume. Lighter, powdery, and less fruity than L, but something about it is familiar. Powdery, apple/pear and lily is the bottom line here.
If you find this on sale somehwere, I’d recommend giving it a try! I always got compliments wearing it. It’s unique with being offensive in a small room.

I sprayed my knee last night before going to bed with this scent. Doing this gives what I find, and comparable impression of a person standing next to me with the same perfume on. This stood the test and lasted through the night and was there in the morning. Longevity for me is good at 7 hours. Any reviews that say this is clean are true. This is very comparable with Liz Claiborne Soul. The two together smell a bit different, but in a blind test on another person just wearing one, you easily could chose the wrong scent. I happen to love both scents. The bottle is lovely and sparkly and would be a fantastic Christmas tree ornament if it were round. I don’t care for Fancy Nights so much, but love that bottle also. And it IS perfection for the “type” of scent it’s meant to be. Jessica Simpson’s scents last and last. I will keep buying every scent she does for the simple fact that they are exactly what I look for in a scent. Priced modestly, produced by an amazing nose, visually appealing, endlessly lasting, easy to find! For myself, I haven’t found any designer or house produce anything over and above these scents. But keep in mind, I have never once found anything I’d pay for by Chanel! It just hasn’t happened… yet. This review is from a very generic person!

I got this perfume after purchasing fancy. This smells absolutly NOTHING like fancy. It doesn’t smell “bad” but it’t not sweet or feminine at all. You have to have a certain taste for this kind of stuff. I don’t fancy it!

    tested this out today…
It’s not a bad fragrance but it’s very very powdery, musky, and soapy as with most of her perfumes. I may purchase it for an after my bath spritz and being that it’s at TJMaxx on clearance for $6, but I don’t think it will become a favorite.

I was looking for a fruity/floral light fragrance, came across this perfume online very cheap so I gave it a try. Not bad for the price but not what I expected either. From start to finish it smells like ginger ale with a hint of apple. Luckly its light enough to layer with other perfumes. On skin lasts 2hrs. a little longer on clothes. Projection is low. Must be inches away from the spay site to smell. Nothing like the other J.S line…..I own 2 others…Fancy and Fancy Love. This is by far the lightest fragrance from her line with the shortest longevity. Not my fave scent. will not buy again.

I first purchased this fragrance during Christmas time in 2012, it was a small gift set with a 1 oz of eau de parfum, lotion, and shower cream. My first thought was “wow, this is a far cry from the super sweet Fancy.” I liked the initial blast of clean florals and crisp apple. It was a beautiful scent in the winter time too by the way, which I feel this scent also works in hot weather. This scent is too strong but layering is probably a good idea. I recommend this to anyone who likes fresh fragrances.

This is actually one of my favorite scents. One that I have actually used all of. To me this is a safe fruity frangrance that can be wore all the time. I really don’t get any floarl notes like with fancy love, this is more of a sharp pear/ apple perfume that calms downs quickly to a clean beautiful scent. I enjoy this perfume a lot.

Smelled Chanel Chance Eau Tendre today in Macy’s and it smells EXACTLY like this perfume. I was shocked!

After dousing myself in this for the past 24 hours or so.. This is a tiny whiff of Gwen Stefani’s L, diluted in a huge vat of “I can’t believe it’s not water.”
Don’t judge her other scents by this review, but this one is a bit of a dud after the initial blast of ginger ale is gone.

It’s too soon to give a proper review; but the first whiff was just like ginger ale, fizzy and all. Interesting..

Opened with a really nice, clean, floral fruit scent. Would have loved this perfume if it had remained like that. Instead it dries down to an almost nonexistent, sweet, woodsy musk…. I like it, but I don’t love it.

This perfume is pretty sharp at the start, which I really like. Nice and fresh, but then it settles down to a very confusing and odd smell, which I don’t know how to categorise.
It would be perfect if the the top notes would dominate, but no, is just ok. 🙂 I’ll keep wearing it this summer anyway, and reapply just to keep the smell fresh always.
Update: I’ve been using this lately when going to parties, and I think it works better for autumn than for very hot summer days. It smells amazing if you apply few squirts onto your hair. 🙂 Lasts quite long and the drydown also gets nicer on colder days.

This perfume smells like shampoo and clean clothes and old-fashioned soap…but not a bad way. I think I like it? It’s not a complicated scent; it isn’t trying to be. There’s a burst of freshly picked fruit at the very beginning – apple and pear probably – and then the floral notes appear – lily of the valley and hyacinth (that combine into an almost lilac accord.) There’s a distinctive appeal to this fragrance that is hard to explain. Perhaps it’s the balance of elements – the juicy warmth from the background of fruity notes tempered by the the sheer, cooler notes of the florals and white musk. I’m more of a warm, spicy fragrance type of girl, so I don’t reach for this scent often, but I like it enough to not want to part with it. I spritzed the decorative towels in my guest bathroom with it the other day and the room smelled refreshing and nice for days.

its really clean fruity scent and the color of the bottle is great. Its the sweeter version of Curious by Britney Spears
The apple, bergamot and pear doesn’t smell like organic tho, the small florals really help but not much.
My verdict is ‘I Fancy You’ is a really good after bath fragrance and also good spring/summer perfume, once in fall & winter.
Its pretty laid back. There’s no base & heart notes.

Smells beyond cheap and so generic. It’s the most cheap and unoriginal perfume I own. Although it was really cheap I regret buying it.

To me all I get is basic shampoo scent or laundry detergent which I cannot stand the artificial smell of, I use fragrance free laundry detergent. I guess it would go along with the ‘clean cotton’ scents that some people like. If you like that sort of scent you’ll probably ‘fancy’ this one. I really like Jessica’s other scents though. They are all very different from one another.

I received this lovely scent from my daughter for Mother’s Day.
Jessica Simpson’s Fancy scents have the strangest effects on me. In every case, with each scent, my first reaction is usually “???” And then, after a couple of wearings and some settling, I end up falling in love. With I Fancy You, my first reaction was “blast of hairspray circa 1980.” But then I remembered to just wait and see – and naturally, Jessica got to me again.
I can see myself reaching for this all summer long. It’s a clean and crisp, like wildflowers in a breeze. The sillage is just so darn refreshing – like someone fresh out of a cool shower wearing sun-kissed clothing. And a couple of sprays last for hours.
Keep up the excellent work, Jessica! Isn’t it about time she comes out with a new Fancy flanker?

This smells very clean on me from start to finish, and reminds me of laundry detergent. I like it, but it’s not one of my most special fragrances. I was very surprised to get four random compliments on this in one day, it must be my most complimented fragrance yet, which I find very surprising. I must suit smelling clean!
