Description

Hypnose by Lancôme is a sunny, woodsy, oriental fragrance with gourmand nuances. The fragrance features passionflower, which creates both a gentle and a passionate feminine aura; the magical product of orchid–vanilla-smells warm and creamy on skin; and vetiver surrounded with white flowers and jasmine Sambac gives a sensual and deep sensation.

The beautiful bottle is designed in the form of a woman’s silhouette, and the color of the perfume hypnotizes just like the tender blue of a woman’s eyes.

See Hypnose video ad.

Hypnose was launched in 2005. Hypnose was created by Annick Menardo and Thierry Wasser.

A great fuzzy vanilla scent for cooler weather. This one is a modern classic for a reason!

First impression: anise & Barbasol shaving cream…
    Weird on my skin.
Develops into a vanilla plastic doll head, but in a good way…a clean, fresh vanilla

It’s hard to find a clean scent for cold weather, but this is it. It’s sultry, yet almost soapy. I really love this one.

I’ve been wanting to try this for that passionflower note. I don’t like it. When I first applied it, it smelled like Round-Up. Now it smells lightly sweet like feminine hygiene products. Not for me! That’s one fewer on my Want Shelf—yay!

A pleasant surprise! Smells a lot like a light and airy version of YSL Manifesto. More green, more floral. Similar vibes, though.
    Great performance.

Sugary, violety. Has that 80’s plastic dolls scent we played with as kids. I think this is suitable for an early 20’s girl or a teen.

First impression=not for me much, yeah good but heavy not breathable, and then i like. Floral but opening can Come to you too heavy. Popular. Sillage, longevity fine.

This was a gift and, at first spray, I was reminded of Marks Spencer Lavender (room & body spray) from long ago. But Hypnose is far more refined and in depth. I get a powdery Iris and Violet vibe from this. I don’t know what Passiflora (Passion Flower) smells like and not sure they have a scent. My friend has a viney bush and don’t recall a fragrance from the flowers.
Back to Hypnose, it’s very likeable and feminine and reminds me of posh European women who wear perfumes with powdery notes like Iris and Violet. Lavender in perfumes smell different from the actual flower and essential oil so not sure I get Lavender from this. The juice is a lovely violet color and the bottle is so unique. Overall, I would give this a 10/10. Beautiful.

I purchased this recently based on reviews here from my fragrantica friends!
This is a lovely, warm, vanilla daytime scent! I pick up a slight tropical vibe.
    It’s friendly, elegant and sensual!
Reminds me of a mauve, fluffy soft cloud of powdered vanilla and passionflower with some sweetness from white flowers and vetiver!
    An interesting combination!
Safe to wear, in my opinion as its very likeable and unobtrusive!
    It’s also classy and feminine.
A new love for me! I will re-purchase!

For me this is a classic lavender and vanilla scent for a lady
Not old, but certainly mature. It is calming soothing, and almost motherly to me. I don’t find this sexy, but it could be mysterious
I get 4 to 5 hours longevity and fair projection and good sillage
Bought this female version by accident, and it turned out to be a great gift for mum
I find the composition welldone, notes are good quality and this is not daring, better for night wear. For a nice occasion, like a family reunion or family outing for a married or mystical woman.

Vanilla pudding + anise? + a trace of the astringent note of passion flower leaves (similar to black currant buds) + plastic (vinyl).
    It’s nice “almost gourmand”.

Exotic vanilla too strong for me even i just spray a little to my skin.
Dont spray this one too much to your skin or you will have strong headache

Very sweet and very sexy, at first it’s very intense, there’s something fruity at the top note and middle note. The base note is pure vanilla, it is very sweet and sexy. This perfume is a great perfume for party and nightlife. (If you spray too much you’ll get dizzy.)

A more elegant passion flower/fruit smelling perfume. Unfortunately, after some time it smells somewhat soapy, like a fruity bathing/showering product on me. It’s a nice fragrance anyways. If I didn’t have to be more selective with my purchases I would’ve definitely gotten a full bottle of this. Medium longevity and sillage. I find it very fitting for springs and summers and day time. The fruity smell is more prominent than the vanilla which makes this fragrance rather fresh. Sweet, fruity, fresh scent!

Hypnose is a sunny passion fruit juice with a creamy, rich and mouthwatering vanilla. This is a great fragrance with a very good sillage and an excellente longevity.

Oh, I like this vanilla. It’s thick, cool and syrupy sweet. ‘High-pitched’ and sparkling! Not rounded or ‘warm’ like most vanillas out there, so I find it quite distinctive and unique. I detect a hint of anise in this, but it’s not listed in the notes…hmmm. I get passion-flower too, and it gives the scent a somewhat tropical vibe. Sillage and longevity are fantastic. Unfortunately it has a tendency to trigger headaches when I wear it…sigh! The sweetness can get abit too ‘shriek-y’ and piercing when I’m not in the mood. It’s quite sophisticated and very alluring, but also playful and coquettish. Best for cooler months, though I can see this one working nicely on breezy spring/summer nights too.

hmm…I see this as a year-round fragrance..at least under 30 degrees is very ok. To me this is kinda like out of the shower smelling with something more The crystalline bottle complements the juice inside.
    Sparkling and put together.

I LOVE this fragrance! When I first tried this on, it instantly brought a smile to my face because it smelt incredible. Hypnose smells like vanilla; it’s creamy, rich and mouthwatering… So yum! I also find this fragrance to be quite calming. 🙂

First tested this at a duty free shop and for a week couldn’t stop thinking about it. Three of my favourite notes, passionflower, vetiver and vanilla all at once which one doesn’t come across in a fragrance very often. I was “hyponosed” and had to have it and now that I do, I spray away, even though it is a little pricey, it makes me happy and that is what counts.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

I love the drydown of it. A sensual and deep vanilla, but not a boring vanilla scent.
But the first 45-60minutes… I think it’s the passion flower, but it smells peppery on my skin.
Unfortunely, I won’t buy it as I don’t want to smell like black pepper during an hour.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

This is a crowd pleaser. This is definetely the perfume that is a safe blind buy/ present unless you or the people you’re buying it for are very pretentious and demanding.
Its a safe perfume for work, dreamy, velvety, relaxed, elegant, moderate silage and longevity. This is not a power house like fellow house members Poeme and LVEB.
Its a soft cloud of a very laid back vanilla (not a pungeant one), and made somewhat elegant and classy by vetiver.
But its all fluffy and dreamy and aristocratic. I get compliments from people who like subtle perfumes. I use it on the days I like to go “undercover” with my perfume, as I generally do like my perfume to last more then 4-5 hours, like this one does.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This is a really nice scent. The strongest note in this is definitely vanilla, with some hints of anis in the background. The fragrance is soft, feminine, sweet and not over the top. Overall a really good everyday scent and it lasts a fairly good amount of time on my skin too.

Amazing fragrance!!Very nostalgic smell. It is sweet but not overly syrupy and staurated. It contains a salty vanilla pleasant note and the lasting power is great!A really unique and authentic creation from Lancome.

This is absolutely stunning and feminine and delicate. I get a soft vanilla and chocolate scent, backed up with cold sugar crystallized flower petals. I feel extremely feminine and pretty when I wear this. Ugh, so good!

  29. :

    3 out of 5

Adorable fragrance. It is a sophisticated vanilla scent. I’m getting cold and sugary nuances which are very cozy. It’s airy, dusty and fluffy like ice cream. It’s very complex. It’s sweet but not overwhelmingly sugary. It’s on the mature and grownup side wich is more subtle and classic. The Jasmine note is nearly not detectable to me. I’m getting a spicy vetiver accord wich fits perfectly to that beautiful vanilla note. I haven’t smelled Passion flower before. But I think it it prevents the vanilla from being sirupy sweet. It’s so powdery and inoffensive. Great fragrance. Longevity for about 6-7 hours and strong Sillage for 2 hours.

A friend was wearing this and I was immediately transported back to 1973 without knowing why. I tried some of hers and it was just delicious, perfect vanilla with a wonderfully non-intrusive jasmine edge. It has a lovely outdoor character to it.
After looking it up on the internet, to find out why it reminded me of when I was 15, I found several references to this smelling like Innoxa’s Gingham, which we all wore as teenagers in England, in the early seventies. A very innocent type of fragrance, in my opinion.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Very delicate vanilla, ephemeral flowers and the aura of feminity…
A smell with many meanings and strings. Not as flat as vanilla-based Hypnotic Poison (Dior), not a ‘typical” perfume – maybe a bit “edible” smell? (I remember having a lecture with students who came in the room & heard a comment: “Yummy! Someone eating vanilla cupcakes here?” 😉 )
It’s not pushy, nor intrusive. It ‘sits on’ me like the second skin.
Its sillage is moderate, but nice for those who are close.

I could not describe with proper words my infinite love for this perfume. I love this fragrance so much that I have used it so little during these 3 years since I bought it for my birthday in November 2014 for fear of running out of it. I had forgotten how divine this perfume is – this is pure talent and high craft skills. There’s still left some good 30ml from my 50ml bottle and I preserve it as if it were some sort of elixir, a very precious juice that hides also sentimental values for me as this is my first expensive perfume and fell in love with at the very first moment I smelt it.
After a long time I decided to revisit the fragrance and it has me spellbound. I’m always afraid it could expire and the juice gets ruined but when I applied it on my sweater today I realised the perfume had become better . The smell was stronger and it remained on clothes literally all day long with noticeable sillage. I couldn’t stop smelling my sweater and practically all my closet smells like Hypnose. Wafts of the scent come also from my décolleté.
I don’t think I’m going to repurchase it as I tend not to buy the same perfume twice (there are so many others to discover out there) but once I’ve finished it I’m going to look for others that smell close to it .

I am going to review this in a month’s time because I am not sure about it. There’s an ozonic note that throws something salty, and a hint of Penhaligon’s Bluebell which I seriously find nauseating. So to be fair, as so many clever reviewers have cautioned…never give up on a fragrance until you’ve worn it a good number of times.
I love the description above “The beautiful bottle is designed in a form of woman’s silhouette, and the color of the perfume hypnotizes just like tender blue woman’s eyes“
Not too many blue women in this neck of the woods, not even tender ones

I just bought my 6th bottle!!!
This is my beloved daytime vanilla scent…it´s sensual, silky, warm, elegant and very approachable scent…that´s why I think it´s perfect for daytime.
You will smell classy, womanly without being intrusive.
I receive many compliments from my workmates.
For me, the best “gardenish” vanilla out there…lovely scent!

It’s a weird kind of floral. I have this perfume, it’s not awful but I don’t always reach for it. Most times I’m not in the mood for it. I bought it because I thought it smelt way different than the usual floral perfumes but then somehow something about it puts me off most of the time, may be it’s the passion flower note, it smells plastic and strange. Try it before you buy.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

I have to be in the right mood to tolerate this scent. 1/10 times when I smell it, I agree with it, like it and want to buy it, the other 9 times it gives me a “sick to the stomach” feeling. Because of that I cannot grade it. Smelled it first time in the hot summer, left it for winter, maybe I’ll change my mind. I think it’s cold enough now, but still have the feeling of swallowing a mouthful of bubblegum and being stuck in my windpipe, turns my stomach. Really reminds me of being sick, or food poisoning, so I can say it is a colder relative of Poison, food poison. It could work for others, but I’ll leave it for later testing.

Sexiness in a bottle. Creamy but fresh vanilla-white florals that so detectable, alluring, delicate & hypnotizing. It’s like ‘got under your spells’ when people smell it on you. But it’s more like sweet/creamy-fresh vanilla blossom on my skin. After 5 to 6 hours later, there some powdery-woody-musky going out to join the party & make it smells more hypnotic. Projects moderately & lasts a long time. I think it’s perfect for a date or intimate session. My skin loves vanilla & i love this kind of creamy vanilla that doesn’t hurt my nose & headache inducing. Not so unique but not a generic either. If you like vanilla scent try it. Very good fragrance.

I am not usually into this type of scents.i bought it on an impulse, on a day i desperately wanted something new. this was on a sale, i thought why not. i did know this wasn’t my type and i did realise it is going to be different of what i have. i thought, why not. bought it, spritzed already in my car. on a warm summer day. it was sweet, it was thick, it was different from my usuals. it wasn’t really me and it wasn’t going to be me.
i tucked it away into the deepest part of my closet. i decided to put it on a swap. changed my mind later. summer was going into autumn. we do really have maybe 5 summer days a year. some year it makes 10. it was very nice day, that first day of my wearing lancome hypnose. i really had very nice day that day and i managed to connect these good memories to my lancome hypnose scent. silly, i know, but that is how my brain works. one pretty day with many good emotions + lancome hypnose = makes a scent that can give me later good emotions. i reached for it without thinking too much later several times. on not so warm days. it is still too sweet and too sticky to me. but i think i can wear it sometimes with pleasure. definitely cold weather scent to me and i do have to be careful with amount i spray.

    BEAUTIFUL!
Non-gourmand Floral Vanilla. I like the fact that they used Vetiver here, not Sandalwood or Ceder… It makes Hypnose somewhat ethereal. Masterfully simple. I love this.

This was my first brand perfume, after buying Avon, Oriflame and various drugstore perfumes for years. This was a gift from my husband, but he knew I loved it. I loved it so much, I was afraid to use it very often. I felt so elegant wearing it and I have awesome memories (Paris in late fall) wearing this. I plan on buying it again, it’s one of my comfort perfumes. I especially like the vanilla note, it makes it a “warm” perfume

  41. :

I have a good number of fragrances, and yet this is my most complimented by men and women alike. It’s a sultry, unusual, deep, rich, mysterious fragrance that lives up to its name. Longevity and sillage are excellent on me. I just don’t understand all the hate for Hypnose. Wear it in cooler temps to get the best out of it. I cannot praise it enough. My latest bottle is every bit a performer as my first one from 2005/6. I can’t say that about most of the reformulations I’ve recently bought.

    How I loovveee this perfume!!!!
Hypnose is my tropical vanilla sun! I just want to lay down under it and enjoy all its sensuality and warm upon my skin…elegant, sensual, womanly, highly attractive.
I just bought a bottle to take to the beach this summer…I want to enjoy this beauty watching a wonderful sunset…
    A real Treasure!

  43. :

    Very very feminie scent.
Clean sweet cool fragrance good for everyday,
it’s quiet girly in its extreme femininity.
It’s all sugar no spice, light floral with light vanilla, I wouldn’t think of this as gourmand vanilla scent, but as a gourmand sugar scent, passionfruit flower adds much needed freshness and the vetiver keeps it from overdosing with sweetness.
I don’t view this as a sexy number, much like Miracle it’s Girly not Sassy!
    It’s a Good Girl Perfume.
update: well who would have thought this perfume would become such a favourite! perfect for work/everyday, it’s cold sugar flowery scent gets more enjoyable with each wear.
if you have doubts (as I did, almost gave it away, keep trying, it grows on you, so very feminie and delightful sweet in a fresh way, not syrpy-y at all. I am fully converted! I love it. The sugar gives way to passion flower in a cool and ultra feminie way. I’m glad I own this and would repurchase without a doubt.
    Bottle 7/10

A very sexy & seductive fragrance… It’s not quite as heavy to my nose as CD’s Hypnotic Poison, but it has a similar weight to it.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Its an impossible smoothie of vanilla beans and white florals. Like they threw them in a blender on the highest setting and mixed until the notes were indistinguishable. Then they poured it into this lovely twisted bottle. The result is a creamy bouncy concoction of sweet-but-not-too-sweet “vanifloral.” This is what vanilla is supposed to smell like, not the alcoholic burnt caramel smell that I associate with drug store body sprays. Sometimes I crave this fragrance. So glad I have a full bottle.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

A magic potion in a beautiful bottle. This may not make sense to many but to me, this fume smells like cold shocks of vanilla mixed with every single other note it contains. It smells sweet, cold, creamy, heady, wet florally, and earthy (the vetiver). Good quality and it lasts and lasts on me. This is one of my favourites. I could pull this off in the Spring and see myself wearing it throughout Autumn and Winter. Summer, I’d have to see. I’m unpredictable. Sometimes I like wearing fragrances based on my mood, others based on the weather or season but sometimes I don’t care about any of those things and just wear what I want, and whenever I want because I know I always smell nice with these amazing fragrances (not to sound cocky at all) because I’m very much aware that there are people who loathe the smell of vanilla. I happen to be a vanilla snob though so this was definitely a must have! Lancôme, please, never ever discontinue this gem!

  47. :

Es similar a un perfume que venden en chile de petrizzio, lovely plaisance! Rico romantico femenino. Siento que la vainilla no es tan fuerte como dicen, siento un poco mas las flores.

  48. :

I am not a white floral kind of girl – white sweet florals are fresh and beautiful and remind me of svelte blondes who have perfect hair and regularly get their nails done. I prefer more mysterious and woodsy fragrances that suggest more whimsical rough around the edges beauty.
THIS is one of the few exceptions, on me this is a candied white floral which usually wouldn’t cut it – but on my skin there is a beautiful powdery woodsy almost aniseed scent which reminds me of something I can only assume I smelled in a past life. It could be written off as a bit old fashioned with it being very jasmine heavy, but I am 19 and I adore this. I also love that it stands out from the popular ‘worn by every teen girl in the UK perhaps’ fragrances released in recent years (black opium, lady million…. yawn).
There really is something hypnotising about this fragrance.
It also has that lancome base note that every lancome perfume has. I haven’t a clue what it is but somehow you can tell they are all related, I know this because for the early years of my life my mother wore Tresor and I smell it in this somehow.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

Hypnose is a really lovely, versatile and non linear scent. The dry down ends up miles away from the first spritz. But I like each phase equally. I adore the versatility. To me, this could be worn in literally any season or situation. One of the few vanilla fragrances I will wear in summer. It’s just beautiful. My husband adores this one as well. It’s definitely one of his favorites out of all my perfumes. I find it very bright and cheerful versus my typical bold, dark fragrances. Longevity and silage are very good without being overwhelming. Lancôme knows how to make a fragrance! I love almost everything they put out.
This is a very well blended and clean fragrance. It smells like my own skin fresh out of the shower. I do smell a slight banana vibe in the beginning but that quickly disappears. I sometimes get the banana thing with tuberose fragrances too but this doesn’t list Tuberose and if it is in there somewhere it’s a VERY small hint blended really well. The dry down is just awesome. It ends up being one of those fragrances that makes it seem like you just NATURALLY smell better than everyone else. lol Because it’s like a my skin but better dry down. Hard to explain, I hope that statement made sense to someone other than me. lol 7/10 overall coming from a harsh critic.

Smells as expensive as it is. Very versatile, can be worn by most age groups (excluding under 14s) and at any occasion whether you’re at a party or at school.
    Bottle is posh looking.

Among the current barrage of advertised “fresh” “crisp” “clean” and “floral” scents, all of which smell rather interchangeable to me, this one is different. It’s warm, milky, vanilla-ish without smelling like a dessert. It’s more of an aura than a scent, like the smell of sunkissed skin. When i first sniffed it, I thought, hm. But the more I try it, the moreI like it!
Editing. Second day, I sniffed the sample bottle and got a whiff of somethign I thought smelled just like Brut. And now that’s ALL I smell. Oh no. Ruined.

This is magic in a bottle.
    Nicely blended vanilla and flowers.
Yes, there is a bit of synthetic effect going on, but who cares? It is like walking in an enchanted garden… 🙂 Not all is real there, is it? 😛

It smells baaad ……just like plastic dolls but not in a good way ….it was given to me as a brithday present from my husband but I couldn’t stand the smell of it ….I gave it to my sister

  56. :

    5 out of 5

I love this perfume. Personally I find that it is a unique blend of vanilla and white flowers. If you were to compare it to Hypnotic Poison which is a very warm vanilla, Hypnose would be its polar opposite sister – much colder despite it also being vanilla. The colour of the juice reflects its character quite well.
I like to wear this during the day in winter when I’m with my boyfriend. The vanilla makes it cozy and enticing while the white flowers help to bring it into daytime terrority. I find that it is just the right mix of cozy, sexy and fresh for those times when you’re spending a lazy day with your man.

  57. :

    5 out of 5

Currently, this is my beloved vanilla day scent. It has my beloved flower “gardenia”, and Hypnose doesn´t have this “super candy on your face” vanilla.
This vanilla here is smooth, flowery with a woody tinge, “well behaved”, elegant, long-lasting and sunny due to the passion flower.
As it´s not a heavy/dark scent, Hypnose turns to be a very versatile scent, being appropriate for women of all ages, for informal and more cosy occasions. I personally would not wear it in formal occasions.
A cosy, sunny vanilla scent to enjoy and relax!

I know the dominant note is vanilla in this, but from the initial spray I always get a black licorice aroma.. anyone else get that?! Very nice scent though lasts for hours remember my mom having this when it first came out..

My impression of Hypnose goes like this: to me it smells nothing at all, yet it smells very strongly
(and that might be a good thing to someone, but not for me).

  60. :

I loved it at first, but over time it became too heavy and overpowering. Ended up selling it.

  61. :

This is great to wear for work. It is clean, calming and gentle.
The passionflower and vanilla notes combine to create a more refined version of the way bubblegum machines smell. Surprisingly, I actually like this. I wouldn’t call it a gourmand scent because this bubblegum smells too posh to chew. The opening is very sweet but it gets more fresh and soothing with the dry down; this is when the vetiver becomes noticeable. The floral notes don’t make much noise at any point.
The longevity is quite good on me -it can last up to 6 hours on me as a skin scent. I find that it lacks projection, but I wouldn’t want this scent to project much, anyway.
This perfume suits any season, though it smells rather different in warm weather when the vanilla is amplified and the jasmine becomes more noticeable. I prefer the way it smells in cool weather, when the passionflower and vetiver are more pronounced.

First I must say, I love the bottle and color! My boyfriend got this and he tends to love vanilla gourmand scents. I wasn’t sure about how I felt at first but I like to wear the lotion at night…its for good dreams. Smells like a rootbeer float.

If you’re like me and have a husband that is not crazy about perfume, well let me tell you this…this is a must have!! I was so surprised when my husband told me, “Boy, you smell good!” and it was all down to this little beauty “Hypnose” by Lancome.
A very soft, passionate, and not overbearing fragrance. This ones a keeper!!!

  64. :

This is a very zesty as well as very sweet perfume with mainly passion fruit, yet somehow I read it a bit licorice-like. Unique and a special experience. My mind wandered to Heiress by Paris Hilton, though this is not as sweet and young.

To me this will always have a very chemical smell, similar to industrial strength rug shampoo mixed w/a type of floor cleaner used in hospitals. Really this isn’t a beautiful scent, smells like a heavy detergent bad!

Lancome is one of my favorite perfume brands
Every time that I’ve bought a lancome,it turned to be a very successful purchase in long-term so now I’m very eager to add lancomes to my collection
On the hunt for a new Lancome perfume for fall, hypnose is one of my choices.last week I tried it on a paper strip.I really liked the opening blast.I could feel a sweet and creamy fruity vanilla which was pleasant, especially because I have nothing similar in my collection.I like passionfruit/passionflower in perfume and I have nothing with this dominant note.it was also very longlasting and projection seems to be good too.my only problem is about it’s linear scent.all I could smell was a fruity vanilla(vanilla+passionfruit)and some creamy florals.although very nice-smelling it became tiering for me after couple of hours..my other choices, hypnose senses and la vie belle edt seem more intresting
I’m going to try them tomorrow, this time on my skin and choose

This is gorgeous. It smells very modern (like a 2016 release).
    Sweet floral vanilla.
This one is beautiful and very pleasant.
Sillage and longevity are very good.

My relationship with this one is complicated. My husband adores this fragrance, as I guess many men do. However I have mixed feelings. For me it’s dominated by jasmine and passion flower. Surprisingly I don’t detect so much vanilla in it, therefore I’d say the fragrance is more suitable for warmer months and daily usage. It smells fresh to me, a little bit like fresh laundry, which is what I don’t like about it. I don’t find this fragrance sexy, but it is feminine, comforting, calm, innocent, clean – and this is what draws me to it.

I bought this perfume this summer at a bargain price. I really cannot make up my mind on this perfume. Sometimes I like it and other times it reminds of an antibiotic liquid medicine flavoured with vanilla. I love passion flower in a fragrance, however the vanilla in this fragrance is very sweet to me and overpowering. I think this fragrance may work for me in winter, so I am not giving up on it yet.
Update: wearing this perfume in cooler weather is so much better for me. I can actually smell the other notes and I find this fragrance very calming. For some reason wearing this perfume in summer brings out a very dominant vanilla note. It must be my skin chemistry. Much prefer this fragrance in autumn.

I have the EdT and although I love it, think it very seductive on my skin Hypnose just does not last. 15 minutes and it is gone, puft. Must be anosmic to it. Gave it to my mother and on her lasts all of 40 minutes. Smoky vanilla and passion flower are the main notes, sillage for the few minutes start heavy but, in 5 minutes, it turns into a skin scent than nothing.

It smells of heated up warmed up vanilla as in vanilla in a vanilla latte. To me this is very gourmand and it does smell nice on my skin. It smells exactly like vanilla latte on my skin. A nice gourmand coffee scent. However this fragrance has no projection what so ever and my skin eats this- it completely vanished within an hour. It is however a nice sweetened warm vanilla latte scent. I wouldn’t say it was hypnotic or mysterious or seductive it is just warm and comfortable. I can’t really detect any other notes but heated vanilla in this. It doesn’t last at all on clothes either. Because it’s so weak I don’t think I will be adding it to my collection. However I have said this before and then changed my mind. Only further testing will tell.
    Packaging- 6/10

    Projection-4/10
    Longevity-3.5/10

I got this one in a swap (thanks again tneequeenie!) and it has become my new favorite scent to wear in the evenings, after my bath. It’s so soothing and comforting to me! It has the magical quality about it of being able to transform my mood into a state of bliss, regardless of circumstance. I especially love wearing it around my boyfriend because the scent seems to match my mood whenever we’re snuggled up together. It has an ethereal vibe to it and at times, puts the image of dancing blue fairies in my mind. I think I could honestly wear this every night and not tire of it.

I have this in a small size. The color changed from blue to purple over time. Lol.
I like it but i am not in love with it. I mostly get a very linear vanilla-musk from Hypnose. I dont get any notes of gardenia neither passion flower at all, which is disappointing. Overall Hypnose is nice but not worth to buy the full size in
