T’is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all 🙁

The last nice scent for man by guerlain!

    Wonderful refreshing fragrance.
HOWEVER, absolutely pathetic performance unbecoming of Guerlain.
Give this a pass unless it’s on a serious sale.

This is another fabulous fragrance from Guerlain…I have Boisée and love that one as well. This one is going to be one of my main “go to” summer scents as the mojito flavor blending with mint and vetiver is gorgeous. Longevity is superb,5-6 hrs and silage is within my bubble. I heard it was being discontinued so I stocked up with another 50 ml bottle.

Since this is discontinued, I have decided to buy last 30ml from local eshop which had it. This is one of the best or maybe the best blind buy (and I like to do blind buys a lot). The mint is very fresh, not sweet that it is in other mint fragrances, but like ice cold mint, fresh. I feel some rum in opening too. At first I didn’t noticed mojito smell, but later I felt it. And the best thing – I don’t feel anything synthetic like in 70% of other fragrances. Damn I want now to go to beach and order a mojito while wearing this one.

This fragrance smells great! A very elegant scent that evokes crisp white shirts and well groomed gentlemen. Yes has mint and rum, but does NOT smell like a mojito, IMO. Unfortunately, its performance prevents me from loving this scent. goes from spray to skin scent before I put the cap back on the bottle. Longevity, as a skin scent, does last a couple of hours (literally a couple…2-3 hours). Although this type of performance could be forgiven in a $10 bottle from Zara. Harder to overlook in a much more expensive offering from a high end design house.

Stumbled upon this wonderful scent while sampling colognes at Neiman Marcus a few weeks ago. I was going to buy it on the spot but they were sold out. I ended up ordering it online and it arrived yesterday. I got the EDT version in the short clear green bottle. The bottle at Neiman Marcus had a metal front. They both smell the same to me. I’m not good at describing scents, but I love this. Very smooth and natural smelling. I get citrus at first then I swear I get some lavender on the dry down. It reminds me of a smoother, more natural Caron Pour Un Homme for some reason. Not sure if this is being discontinued or not, so I may have to order another bottle to be safe. Is this being replaced by the Eau De Parfum version in the tall clear glass bottle? Longevity is pretty good, about 5-6 hours, good enough for me. Sillage is moderate, not overpowering, but just enough to remind me and the person I’m next to that I’m wearing a nice classy cologne.

    Very natural.
It starts with lemon rum… all the notes
And after 30 minutes i get gerenium.
Well….i do like it very much
Its got the guerlain quality to it.
    Very good .
Performence is ok if i spray 3-4 spray.
On my skin i can say if you like flowery scents go for it becouse i get almost 80% gerenium but a wonderfull gerenium.
I dont have that kind in my collection and this very very versitle and sofisticate so…a blind buy well made.
    Enjoy.

Fantastic smell, I absolutely love this energetic, clean, chic scent.
But performance on me is woeful. This is a great shame because I truly love Guerlain Homme’s classy minty freshness.
I’ve tried the Intense version many times to see if that’s the solution. Alas, it does not perform any better for me.
And then there’s the Homme L’eau Boisée that I owned. I sold that one because it had performance issues too.
I’ve given most of the Homme line a pretty decent shot. But once my 50ml bottle runs out, I’ll replace it with something else with a similar minty freshness… and hopefully better staying power.

Well, it’s a nice scent, but I don’t think I’d be purchasing the whole bottle – just not sure if I want to smell like mojito.

This is the freshest and cleanest juice in the world. Soapier than soap itself and more citric than any acid.
If you like Dunhill’s Icon, Geoffrey Beene’s Grey Flannel or Aramis’ Aramis 900 Herbal, Guerlain’s Homme is the winner in this leauge.
    A masterpiece.

This is a classy fragrance. Its not overpowering or over manly. It doesn’t invade the office or intrude on other peoples space. It just subtly sends out a elegant reminder to those who accept it’s message that a self assured fragrance has attached itself to someone who is in the know.
For me it exudes quality, calmness, confidence and its longevity is perfect for work, but even better for an evening out with good friends or just your loved ones.
It’s the sort of fragrance that other blokes smell, and respond after catching a whiff, by simply nodding in agreement with it’s class.
    Classy from start to finish
    8.5/10 for everything.
    Reliable

This beautifully crafted – albeit not extraordinary – citrus juice is seriously dragged down by its performance. For me, simply does not last beyond a couple hours, three hours at the most and projection is non-existent from the very beginning. Rather disappointing.

Guerlain Homme is a lovely lime and vetiver fragrance with plenty of mint, boozy mojito and sweet sugar cane. It’s brighter than Homme Intense and a little spicier, thanks to the carnation. I can see why some say it smells generic; while it doesn’t recall any particular previous scent, its soapy, clean, masculine aftershave accord makes it feel instantly familiar. It’s a very good boozy citrus scent, but ultimately Guerlain Homme pales in comparison to the more intensive, woodier lime and vetiver of its flanker, L’Eau Boisee.

I never understood what Luca Turin was going on about when he talked about the original Guerlain Homme. However, upon my first sniff of the new EdP, the realisation finally kicked in: Why hello there, Yohji Homme. They gave Guerlain Homme the standard treatment for the brand’s EdP masculines – less citrus, more gourmand, more creamy wood – and the result bears an uncanny resemblance to Jean-Michel Duriez’ 1999 masterpiece. A side-by-side comparison may reveal all the fine differences, but still – if this were the music industry, Yohji Yamamoto would be cashing royalty checks right now.
Hopefully Guerlain won’t totally discontinue the EdT. Perhaps they think it’s been made redundant by its more popular summer flanker, but in my opinion, L’Eau Boisée doesn’t hold a candle to its sophisticated progenitor. I fear that in this day and age, where men choose fragrances the same way they buy insect repellent, the understatedly elegant but short-lived men’s cologne might be on its way out.
Overvall, I can’t say I like the new EdP. Guerlain Homme’s citrus-mojito accord used to evoke summer and sun, but this is far too heavy to be worn during a mid-July heatwave. And for all other times, Yohji’s got you covered.

One of the greatest citrus openings ever! Wow! It is damn near stratospheric the heights of this citrus. The mint, bergamot and mojito create a real rich, beautiful and fresh citrus tone. The citrus opening, sadly (No really that opening blast is MARVELOUS!), fades quickly and that massive opening is handed over to a vetiver, rum and cedar trio, that maintains a sweet, citrusy accord that quickly veers into sweet summer booziness and the effect is short of magical. Why magical?(Yeah that is some hyperbole!) because, just when you thought this scent was veering into a mundane let down, this fresh minty, earthy note prevails and it is a revelation! Now, I must add that this scent has a Summer Boozy vibe and I stick to it. There is no cognac and dried fruits here. This scent is made for the party on the balcony or the backyard evening party with friends during late summer evenings. This scent is fun and should be worn outdoors in a cooling air, where clinking glasses, conversations and music are heard in the background. This scent is bright and optimistic like impending holidays and conversations with colleagues and friends on cafe terraces. Guerlain Homme is a sly, sophisticated party fragrance and that is a plus! This scent would compliment a nice crisp linen shirt and a pair of bowery pants. Guerlain Homme is that bugle of a scent that ushers in the summer party season! Grills and citronella… LET’S DO THIS!!!!

I am not normally keen on citrus notes, as most of the times they are too harsh to my nose. However, I was amazed by Guerlain Homme, as the opening is made so refreshing and pleasant. One of the most enjoyable citrus fragrances in my opinion.

The lime note in this is amazing sadly now discontinued.
Guerlain can we have this back please…
also own the new formulation in the EDP which i love but this is still a nicer scent when it comes to the opening mojito/lime.
Thumbs up if u think Guerlain should bring this back.

I’d been keeping an eye out for this fragrance for a while, but unfortunately had no luck since it was discontinued. My regular fragrance store finally got a few bottles of the old formulation a few months ago, so I jumped at the chance to buy one. It’s a good thing I did, because they sold all 10 bottles within a week.
This is a beautiful fragrance that’s well-balanced and cleverly restrained. It opens with lime, mint, and mojito which work amazingly well together. It’s a lovely, fresh opening scent that is maintained throughout. The drydown has a hint of vetiver, just a subtle note mixed with the mint. I prefer to wear this during the day, but I feel it could work for a summer evening as well.
The only negative with this fragrance is the longevity. I get a measly 3 hours from it, with very gentle sillage.
Given that I’m unlikely to find another bottle, I will have to ration this carefully. If you manage to find one, grab it – you won’t be disappointed. If you are, I’ll gladly buy it off of you!

I just received a 20ml decant of this. What’s not to like, honestly.
Immediately it smells familiar and somewhat common, but there’s a “greenness” that sets it apart. Sure there’s mint, but it’s subtle and it’s more like the stems of the plant moreso than any leaves or anything easily detectable as mint. A touch “fresh grassy”, but doesn’t directly smell like grass if that even makes sense.
I get the whole “mojito” connection but i don’t immediately agree with that, because i feel like it may be misleading that this cologne is sweet or has a bunch of lime; neither of those are really true. But as mentioned before, i do get a sort of “mint stems” essence which is synonymous with mojitos. …but again, no sugary sweetness nor big squeeze of lime here. So yeah, the mojito vibe is there but it’s market-savvy in the way that Cool Water doesn’t smell like cold water but it evokes that vibe. ….
Super pleased with this! I will absolutely buy a bottle because: a) i really love mojitos and b) i typically dig these types of clean, basic summer scents which have juuuuust enough somethin’ to set them apart. For me i think it’s that “fresh grassiness” that doesn’t directly smell like grass. 🙂

I’ve been mean about this in the past but can’t find my review to update it. Guerlain Homme: I take it all back.
Yes it’s trying to be a bit generic and a bit smella a likey but it’s never the less a Guerlain and that shines through. I’ve been enjoying this lately. I’ve been boshing it on before the gym because that’s all I thought it was good for but it’s won my heart. Reasonably long lasting for a citrus and I love the minty note. I think it’s perfectly unisex and is a fresh clean scent which dries down to a sophisticated Musky woodiness. So I’ve changed my tune and once I’m done with this bottle I might get another!

To my nose, this one has a very strong resemblance to A*Men Pure Energy/Pure Shot, but with lime being front and center. If you could imagine Pure Energy and Creeds Virgin Island Water having a baby, this would most definitely be it.
Going to be great for the upcoming warmer spring/summer days, and has such a nice “pick me up” scent to it which I really enjoy. One of those scents that you could spritz on any time of the year to uplift your mood.

such an uplifting scent!Marvellous simply amazing.I would call it inique. You just know it by looking at the bottle alone. Fresh, minty, woody and somewhere between some flowers are blooming, but no too much.Just so to be more aromatic, sophisticated. Did a comparison between this and Lalique’s white. It is like heayweight boxer vs chess player. Lalique has the punch, whereas Guerlain has totally different things to offer.

I think i get about 6-8 hours out of guerlaine homme, also when i tried creed original vetiver it lit a bulb in my head and im pretty sure it reminds me of this, the bubbly vetiver and the lime is what gives me olfactory deja vu i think. Anyhow, 8 love the mojito vibe and everything about this fragrance.

This is now availiable from guerlain. The bottle design has moved to the habit rougue style now. concentration is now EDP. It smells in between Guerlain homme edt and edp intense.
and lasting power is very good. nice to know i can get my hands on this once again. One of the best mens gurlain scents.

Distinguished, sophisticated, and inviting… All words to describe this beautiful creation from the house of Guerlain…
I absolutely love this fragrance, but wish it lasted longer. As other reviewers have stated, the duration of this fragrance is less than 4 hours with minimal projection. Pity.. The blend of herbal and woodsy notes is truly extraordinary that leaves the wearer feeling confident, fresh, and clean. Despite the short longevity, I still love this fragrance and pitch a strong recommendation to the fragrance community Homme should be added to any collection – just take a decant with you to reapply as needed. Guerlain’s Homme is modestly priced, will fit just about any setting for wear, and smells great. My final tally is 4.0 stars out of 5. If the longevity were greater, Homme could easily fall into my Top 5…
As always, enjoy your day and happy fragrance hunting…

I some disappointments posted here about this fragrance, and I can’t say I join to that feeling, but what I can tell is that this fragrance performance is not quite as most of Guerlain’s distinctive one, but is very pleasant and totally fit for summer days, it performs well for the first 3 to 4 hrs. after that is only a trace of it in the skin at least on me, I wonder if the intense version would be actually such. I would give it a 3 of a 5 stars.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

Tried this properly for the first time today. It’s beautifully balanced and it has that Guerlain artisan’s quality about it that makes it a quality item. I decided to splash out and grab a bottle while I still could (it was discontinued at the end of 2014). I had meant to do this with L’Homme L’Eau but I’ve not been able to find a bottle of that anywhere at almost any price so I thought I would grab this and accept it would be the only bottle I’d ever have.
Practical comments first: it has a moderate projection which goes from a gentle projection to a skin scent by four hours and fades away after about seven hours.
Notes: the opening is dominated by the lime, the mint and the mojito. It starts fresh and remains fresh throughout. After about four and half hours when I had a good sniff again, I got lots of green notes, some mint and I thought there was a hint of lavender rather than geranium. There was a nice gentle hint of vetiver and grass in amongst the green notes.
I’d say it’s a nice fresh and clean summery fragrance. I think it suits day and night and could be worn for the office or a night out. I don’t quite see it as something you would wear for a formal occasion or celebration though.
In short, this is a rather good offering from Guerlain. I suspect that being the first creation for the House by Thierry Wasser, it suffered a bit from the inevitable backlash at what was not even really a change of direction but more a refining of an approach. Guerlain have gone into overdrive in the last fifteen years or so in terms of producing perfumes and seeing what will stick with the general public. Inevitably this means that some very good creations will only last a few years before commercial and marketing imperatives dictate their demise. Alas, this is one of those casualties. If you see a bottle somewhere at not-silly prices, grab it.

I’m going to edit this review because I’ve been learning more in my journey. I’ve finally been exposed to quite a few Dior’s and Guerlain’s. Frankly, even though I’ve been a collector some time, since I didn’t own but maybe Fahrenheit, and only had Guerlain’s Vetiver, I just knew that Dior and Guerlain seemed to be unique and good, but after getting 3-4 bottles from the Dior Homme line-up, and getting this and its intense and Bois brothers and LIDGE, I now can say my opinions regarding this fragrance has evolved.
So, Guerlain and Dior are in a class of their own for the designer game. These fragrances are works of art and are made up of ingredients that outshine other Designer houses. You can only tell this when you wear a lot of different one’s. There’s just something uniquely Guerlain. Call it quality of ingredients, I don’t know, but there’s a way that their fragrances wear on your skin. It’s like they all smell different, but they aerate the same way. If you only have one of their fragrances it’s not as obvious, but if you wear a bunch of them and other fragrances by different houses, you start to notice this quality is really shared amongst the Guerlain’s and is non-existent in fragrances from other Houses.
Now, people seem to be marking this one as a generic type smell and they just seem miffed that Guerlain made something this mass market friendly. Let me tell you, it doesn’t smell like anything else I have. It’s not an obvious competitor to Bleu De Chanel, Sauvage, or ADG Profumo, which are obviously made to battle it out against each other for our bucks. This one, they say has this mojito vibe. I’ve never had one, so can’t compare. This fragrance is slightly sugary, only slightly, and has some fruit type masculine smell. In a way, it kind of reminds me of what the Pineapple accomplishes in Aventus. Nice fruity fresh, but maybe just a hint of Vetiver or something to keep it masculine. This is the perfect fragrance for me, most of the time.
Definitely, the highest of quality from a designer house. It has that Guerlain aeration quality that all the Guerlains have, except in a fresher type fragrance. While others are saying “no”, to Guerlain making something this mass market friendly, I’m saying “Boh Hell Yeah, Guerlain’s making something mass market friendly!” And, that brings Guerlain quality to something amazingly wearable. There’s nothing un-unique about it. I don’t have anything that smells like it. It’s a unique take on a fresher fragrance, no doubt. I wear this to the office, I wear it at home, I wear it anywhere and it fits. This is probably the closest thing I have to a signature scent because I just want to wear it all the time. My favorite in the game right now and for the past few months.

It’s a sugary mojito…..great for the hotter days. However you should not expect a bright, lively mojito. It’s a mellow lime note followed by some mint and sugar. Very classy and very easy to wear on any occasion.
Honestly this can be worn with flip flops and a white tee to the beach or it can be worn with a suit.
Some people get an “older man” vibe which is understandable. Magically, it does make me feel more mature when I wear it (I am 24). It’s a lot different then all of my other more vibrant frags. Its going to definitely get some use in the summer.
    Scent: 8/10
    Longevity: 6/10
Sillage: 6/10 (very strong at first. Fades rather quickly – I’d give it 3 hours)
Overall: Classy is the word that comes to mind. Easy to wear and very pleasant. Very good scent, almost hitting the mark in my top 5.

    Lovely, fresh summer fragrance.
I’ve never drunk a mojito but I am getting lime, coconut, and alcohol (in a good way) from this.
Guerlain quality coupled with Guerlain longevity issues. Love the Scent but wish it would last longer!

Gorgeous masculine fragrance that every 35+yo man should have in their wardrobe. Guerlain Homme is different just enough that it layers beautifully with Guerlain Boisee. It’s a shame that so many missed out on this fragrance and it went largely unnoticed.

Modern fresh and light vetiver indeed, perfect for a casual summer morning, but it has bad longevity on me (4 hours and it is gone)

My favourite freshie. Wonderful mojito smell, very modern. Both formal and casual.

Short longevity and projection but considering the price and scent, worth spraying generously.
    Wonderful.

A very light review, I like this so much, I got nothing to complain. Get this while these are still around, I prefer this over intense. I haven’t tested the latest intense though, do they reformulate? I’m no conspiracy creator, simply wondering about the possibilities here. Guerlain quality is inside, I don’t claim to know the house that much, that said, over and over again, this bottle let me into this world of fragrance and welcomes me back, whimsical, boozy, lime, mint, geranium, I love all of what’s in this. So the lack of longevity is not really an issue for me, oh, and this type of vetiver is also so beautiful, sure you can go for Boisée, but I suggest you own them both. Lastly, once thing I don’t get though is the main accord ‘green’. What does that mean? 🙂

  38. :

    4 out of 5

    A 21st Century Vetiver
So this is one I like very much. I have been using a version of the intense for some time now. The “mojito” vibe is what defines this: a combination of rum, mint, rhubarb, patchouli and geranaium on a bed of vetiver.
Speaking of vetiver, Thierry Wasser drew a lot on the first fragrance by Jean-Paul Guerlain, Vetiver for men. The heavy base of vetiver is what grounds this one. I was able to pick up on the mojito theme which came from the trip taken by Sylvaine Delacourte to Cuba. It’s really refreshing and the note of rhubarb is different and welcoming.
Overall this is an incredibly versatile fragrance. I think it can be worn in so many different scenarios. Guerlain have proved that even a fresh scent can be done with mastery and charm. Highly recommended as an alternative to the many others out there… This one is in a class of it’s own!

  39. :

    5 out of 5

I know this one took a beating but…it’s actually very nice. It’s neutral, a bit soapy, but very unique. For all that people keep saying it’s “generic” I have never smelled anything exactly like it. What I don’t like about it: the presentation, all this talk about the wild animal in you and some weird so-pretty-he-must-be-an-alien model in the ads. This is the absolute definition of clean. The other thing I don’t like: the unfortunate fans of the brand that released the fragrance. Guerlain isn’t known for squeaky-clean fragrances; Thierry Wasser isn’t known for sultry and dirty scents. The bashing of this fragrance is the unfortunate biproduct of TW becoming Guerlain’s in-house perfumer.
The fragrance starts out with the oft-mentioned mojito note, though I don’t get much alcohol out of it. It’s more just lime, mint, and a bit of bergamot, with a strong soapy background. The opening is pretty fantastic. The notes smell natural, the mint smells like true soft mint leaves without any impression of toothpaste. The lime and mint fade away and a sharper note comes out and dominates the middle for most of the life of the scent. I imagine this is supposed to be vetiver and/or cedar but it doesn’t quite smell like either to me. I also get a hint of green tea somewhere in the transition between the top and the middle, though it isn’t listed. It’s much like the green tea in Guerlain’s discontinued Tokyo. Not many others seem to agree with me though, but that’s OK, I live my own life!
The base is less interesting than the rest, it nicely finishes the scent with a light powdery almost baby-wipes clean musky way. Thank goodness for the indistinct woody notes still lingering around, keeping it from smelling too much like baby-wipes.
It’s unfortunate this is discontinued as I don’t like the flankers as much as the original. The Intense version tones down the opening and improves the longevity but the projection isn’t as good and the opening is my favorite part of the scent, so that’s no good. The Boisee version is decent but the wood smells a bit synthetic and peppery to me. This is nice, medium longevity and projection, and has been extremely cheap for years now. I’ve bought up a few bottles for backup.
All in all this is a great versatile fragrance, probably best in the summer or on vacation. Very much worth owning, especially at its current going rate of like twenty bucks an ounce or less.

Classy, just don’t feel like this should be worn casually unless you casually wear suits and high class gear on a regular basis. Just smells refreshing and mature. Not something I could see a ten wearing this, a young suit and tie professional should be wearing this.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

A beguiling everyday fragrance, hissy with lime and other citrus and a smooth dry-down to a slightly powdery-ambery slimness. This might be too slight for some, but it’s a mood lifter and just feels great after a shower. It has that round-edged Guerlain perfection that seems to be a trademark of the company. I’m hoarding this because it’s been discontinued.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I have owned and loved two bottles of this. The first bottle helped me through some long hours in a depressing office job. It is delicious, light, effervescent, slightly boozy, slightly sweet and wonderfully fresh. It is uplifting and full of high quality natural smelling ingredients. I agree that it is almost criminal that it became discontinued and was so greatly under appreciated. The marketing was massively off the mark for this fragrance. Just watch the advertising video and laugh hard. The advert promises something wild, untamed, primal. This is the complete opposite of what the scent delivers. It is refined, well groomed, cultured and quietly sophisticated. A slow-mo shot of a well groomed and well dressed sun-kissed young man sipping a mojito on the lawn whilst watching a game of boules would have been a far more apt advert.
My second bottle is nearly empty and I must purchase another before this fragrance disappears off the face of the earth without trace. It works best in summer and is a perfect office scent due to it’s light projection. I have had some great compliments wearing it. If loud and proud is your thing, this is not your boy. If on the other hand you appreciate understated elegance grab yourself a bargain.

blame the older generation of guerlain fans for this amazing fragrance for being discontinued. They gave it a bad name for no good reason from day one 2006 and that was enough for it to not sell enough bottles in the first two years of release what a waste and shame on guerlain for discontinuing such an amazing scent. was my signature so i guess I’m going back to chanel to find a signature as they do not easily discontinue there lines

I sample this years ago and finally I bought a bottle. I don’t know it took me so long to get it. I love this fragrance. To me it’s very refreshing and cool. Every time I wear this it reminds me of summer at the beach. This is definitely a summer fragrance. This is not one of those summer fragrance like aqua di gio or Versace pour homme. This more like partying with friends drinking alcohol. Love this fragrance. It got that kick of mojito and lime. This fragrance cools me off in a hot weather. Definitely my favorite summer fragrance. Last 6 hours plus.

I am Versace kind of guy, cause I like all ot their scents. But this Guerlain thing. oh my god. At first glance I havent been blown out, but after I have tried another time – instant love affair. For me this is one of the best scents I ever had. I like the fresh start and then sweet finish. Still there is something which cannot be described in this scent. The smell is unique, not a cheap copy. Regarding longevity, lot of people are writing it did not last at all. I have the opposite experience. I could smell it in the evening after three morning hits.

Just a quick review because words will never describe how good this fragrance is. I will simply say that I love it and is for me one of the best summer fragrances on the market today. Mojito and mint always “Cheers” me up. Well done Guerlain!

I like it, just wish the opening mojito notes lasted a bit longer. Unfortunately, on my skin, bergamot dominates the base notes, which knocks it down a few notches on my list. There are other Guerlains that I rate higher.

This is a sweet one, it starts off with what I’m guessing is the mojito note, one of the mojito’s ingredients is sugar, it’s pretty prominent to me.
I’ve had three vial samples for two or three years now, applying Guerlain Homme a couple of times before today. Today I may have gone overboard and may have really gone heavy on the application.
Some scents immediately draw you in while others turn you off right from the start. This one interested me at first but after a while it gave me an impression of a too sweet of a scent and leaning just a little too much to a floral or feminine direction.
It is okay but I will not be purchasing any more from here on. To sum it all up, my perception is a scent that ends up with a floral sweetish vetiver aroma.

Amazing, elegant fragrance. Modern perfumery at its best. This original is still better in my eyes compared to the overly boozy intense version and the unimaginative L’eau Boisee version.
This is not only full bottle worthy, it is multiple backup worthy given the constant rumours of discontinuation.

Just tried Homme from a sample. Very nice. Yes I get the “mojito” at the opening, and on me it dries down fairly quickly, when to me it resembles Grey Flannel (especially its powderiness) with a hint of freshness/slight citrus.

The mojito fragrance! This is very fresh, crisp, and surprisingly long lasting for an EDT. It’s been discontinued, they only make the EDP and the L’eau Boisee (which is even fresher than this). This is worthy, much better than L’Homme Ideal.

Terrific minty, mojito fragrance! Great for all year round. Fresh enough for the high heat, but deep enough for the colder weather as well! Highly recommended.

I make mojitos at home (it’s my favorite drink) and I must say that Guerlain Homme is a good interpretation of how a mojito smells, especially at the start. Surely not as natural, but can’t complain that I find it too synthetic. Although, my drink is not as sweet at “Homme”, which has nice dark brown sugar top. Sweet but sparkling refreshing and delicious, aromatic but not necessarily boozy. I like that the top stays with me for a good couple of hours and when it dries down, while losing that effervescency, it still smells delicious. The lime and mint are evolving into sweet woods and that’s pretty much w
