Description

Gucci Guilty Absolute, the new edition of the masculine Gucci Guilty fragrance, comes out in early 2017. It is the product of collaboration between the creative director of the Gucci house Alessandro Michele and perfumer Alberto Morillas.

The top notes include leather. The heat is made of patchouli and the base captures goldenwood and vetiver.
From the brand: „Created using a particular blend with a structure that remains unchanged from the first time it is applied to the skin. Leather accord and goldenwood are custom-mixed with natural extract of the Nootka Cypress, selected especially for Gucci Guilty Absolute. The resulting scent features ultra-dry woody notes. The fragrance’s composition is intensified with three forms of patchouli oils and earthy vetiver.“

Available as a 90 and 150 ml eau de Parfum.

This is very evocative of the vintage Fahrenheit gasoline opening. Incredibly masculine fragrance, much deeper and darker than Fahrenheit, no citrusy flowery notes anywhere in sight just a linear woody, leathery, smoky synthetic till the end. There is something of the the old Gucci Pour Homme, that burnt rubber smell, tarr, carshop extravaganza. I can’t wait to over use this.

I bought this as a gift for my bf. I love this scent and can’t stop sniffing it. It is so addictive. I love leather scents. I wear Bottega Veneta for women. My bf is in his 50s. He is masculine, mature, classy, builds cars, and loves porsches. I don’t get the hospital scent everyone are talking about. I do love patchouli, vetiver, amber, and woody scents. I really appreciate this perfume. I can’t wait for my bf to wear this. I think its very sexy.

A very creative and quality release, given the rest of the designer market. Wondering why they chose to release it under the Guilty line. It sets itself apart from the whole of Gucci line up itself.
Just wear it and do you.

Realistic leather and wood. I get the patchouli and vetiver; this has herbal, earthy characteristics and a smoky vibe. Very medicinal, tarry and bold. I’m reminded a lot of band aids or some kind of ointment or medical cream. Interestingly GGA makes me think of a less floral Fahrenheit.
Very masculine and mature. Better in cooler weather and not so great for work. People are not going to find this sexy. Sillage and projection are average and it lasted all day on me. Smells weird, avant-garde and out there. I like this release from Gucci but have to admit it’s a bit difficult to wear. I applaud Gucci and Alberto Morillas for releasing a scent this bold and daring; a scent that goes against all that generic man cologne that’s popular right now. The bottle looks good and not surprisingly it can already be found for a great price. Even the box looks cool. Give this a sniff.

I agree with the negative reviews. I wore it in perfumery and there was a dear friend of mine that I had to meet, as soon as she hugged me she made a strong sneer and asked me if I had drunk some whiskey. This fragrance is POISON !. As if the leather had been turned into Ethanol. The only thing that struck me was the smell of the Earth but it is a type of land that I do not believe exists on this planet, in other words Too much Chemical. In this case Morillas disappointed me. The discard, there are earthy / leather that cost less and are triple worth.

Scored a great deal at Marshall’s. Put this on and it is a BLAST of Smokey Leather and Vetiver. If you like Encre Noir or Encre Noir l’Extreme you might like this.
Vetiver seems to evaporate off of my skin, as much as I like it, but I think the leather is going to help hold this in place. Gucci did good.
I like it, but since I live in Minneapolis where rarely does anyone give feedback on fragrance, I’m not sure if this is a compliment getter. It’s a different scent than one might be used to. It’s pretty linear. What you spray is what you get. Great winter/cold weather perfume.
    Smokey, smokey, leathery, deliciousness.
    I’m digging it!

Women don’t particularly care for this one. Believe me I’ve gotten almost the same opinion each and everytime I would stop by this one to try it out. But I bought it anyway – for myself! At the end of the day you wear what you like. This smells like a well established man who may already have a woman in his life. Great for layering with other scents (ex Dior Homme Intense). One of the best leather based colognes I’ve tried. An ideal vision of masculinity and perfect for the fall and winter.

you ladies are funny. You are saying if you man stunk like poop you would hug him all over and not care??LOL.yea right.

  9. :

@senpai, you should not care what women think. My husband wears this, proudly, and i love it. But even if i didn’t, he would still wear it. As i would expect any real man to do. And in my previous review i did say that this is a fragrance for men with balls! In my humble womanly opinion, if a woman hates on your fragrance, there is a much deeper issue there than just the cologne you are wearing. Out of our 300+ bottles, this is the one i always recognize right away and it’s damn hot.

I’m female, love this on men! When sampling it on my honey at Ulta (I was wearing something else), I found it to be similar to my True Love, which is 4160 Tuesdays’ Black Velvet Cafe, which I love on myself.

@amusedarcher what women think around you ? did they also love it ?

  12. :

This is a very daring fragrance and is niche like in how different it is.
It is a rounded, but yet dry combination of patchouli, amber and leather. The opening smells like petrol or gasoline to boot !
I get 5 or so hours longevity and fair projection.
If you wanted a stronger and more daring Dior Fahrenheit type of scent, then this might be for you.
I recommend Serge lutens Ambre Sultan over this, but honestly this is what dirty english should have been.

If you are used to Aventus, Aqua di Gio and Legend, that is not for you.
But if you have a more developed nose and tastes, and would like a more manly smooth leather scent, go for it.
Just a couple of criticisms: it’s linear. After the opening, it settles immediately and it won’t change. (why should a good smell change after all?). And performance is average, slightly disappointing for an EDP (moderate projection for the first 2-3 hours, then settles as a skin scent, and disappears after 6-8 hours). But I forgive that.
Surprised to see such a great creation at Sephora in the middle of the teenager scents… And surprised too see this frag is from a designer house I don’t particularly esteem. Wait… The nose is Alberto Morillas? That explains all!
    Fall/Winter evenings, 30+.

Finally! Wow…cannot believe Gucci released this gem. This is man juice here boys. Sick and tired of fruity, vanilla bombs and guys wearing their girlfriends jeans? Get this. Grab your huevos from her purse and be a man. Let it loose. Leather, patch masterpiece. This is how a man should smell. Love the petrol note as well. When you put this on it will let you at least smell like “the man”. Ladies, get this for your man or find the man that’s got the ball to wear it.

I would call it neither pleasant nor appealing but “fascinating” – I’ve got it on my wrist right now and I cannot stop sniffing this ultra masculine scent. Wish my wife loved it – hopefully in the future 🙂

Right off rip, I am so glad I didn’t spray this on my skin, it is so gross. Smells like a steel factory, smells like a morgue, smells like lingering ashes, a cooling down cigarette. It’s repulsive. Please do not blind buy. This has to be an acquired scent. Smells like something a really old man would wear. Pass all the way to the left.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Not a big fan of this one – a little too much on the ‘burnt’ smelling end of things for me, and I do get the antiseptic aspect as well. However, I also have a lot of respect for this as a bold entry into mainstream designer fragrances. It seems to take a niche-like risk in what I would assume is a smaller target audience

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I think that men’s colognes are tricky in the sense that a man’s body chemistry and natural scent has much more of a sillage by itself alone. Smelling a sample without putting it directly on the skin and letting it dry down, is going to be extremely misleading.
That being said, when I smelled this cologne out of the bottle, I thought it was “okay”… but then once my husband put it on his actual skin, I felt like I immediately needed to find the nearest dressing room and spend some *quality time* with him!
Yes, I supposed leather is “typical” but that’s because it’s the best scent for a man. There is some kind of rugged, yet classy and sophisticated appeal to this fragrance. Truly Alpha Male. Commands respect and creates an animal magnetism and sex appeal, for sure. A 30something slick executive boss man who can get dirty working on cars and shooting guns for fun, but will also clean up and dine at a 5 star restaurant after going to an orchestra. Best of both worlds.
I cannot stand the weird aquatic or fruity scents for men, so this was truly a breath of fresh air for me. I smell those fruity watery lavender “artsy” colognes and instantly think of a beta male living in his parents basement, somebody weak and basic with puny arms, a man-bun and an unkempt beard, or too much hairspray. Maybe you guys are on a kick with that trend right now, but just letting you know that to us women it smells like you smeared yourself with a urinal cake. I can imagine that many of the snobby haters on this comment thread smell like these urinal cakes right at this very moment but do not realize it. 😉
This cologne, on the other hand, is for a man who is a man’s man, who wants to smell like a sophisticated warrior, and be a classic, real man – nu-males not welcome at this sexy leathery cigar bar. My brain melts into a puddle of dripping sex every time I smell this on my husband. Everyone we know has been impressed with the scent and always asks him what it is – even his straight male friends are like “wow man, what are you wearing?”.
That being said, don’t take the negative reviews here too seriously. Wear this. It will absolutely get you laid. I promise.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but for some reason it irks me to see negative reviews about this one. Not only that they are negative, but they are bordering on insulting – insulting to those brave men who have guts to wear it and steer away from mainstream, safe fragrances.
Had it been Tom Ford, Nasomatto, Creed, Amouage, that came up with Absolute, everyone would be “loving it”.
Maybe it just takes a certain kind of man to pull this off? I don’t know. My man can, and he certainly doesn’t smell like crematorium or factory worker.
He smells like sexy beast when he wears this. Simply put, in the sea of crowd pleasers that have been released in past 5 years or so, this is a quality, niche-like fragrance that deserves much higher price tag.
To men who can rock this and appreciate it, along with my sexy beast hubby, enjoy!
To those who don’t, oh well…there is always Sauvage to fall back onto 😉

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Simply saying, a beast. Worn leather jacket, car repair shop, old sawmill, tarry roofs on a summer day… Masculine AF. Nothing even mildly unisex. Good shot, Gucci folks, congrats! Guys, beware, don’t blind-buy! It’s REALLY different. 😀
[EDIT] Don’t let the first shock fool you, the drydown is very calm (but still unique), at least comparing to the beginning 😉 If you’re into attars like Al-Rehab Mokhalat Dubai and similar, you should be well accustomed to it.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

In the Gucci Guilty lineup, Absolute is an anomaly sharing nothing with its flankers apart from its name. More than that, Guilty Absolute is a standout even among classic, old-school leathers like Knize Ten, Aramis, Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme, Farina Russisch Leder, Piver Cuir de Russie and others. If über masculine, leather scents of the Petrol variety are your thing—and you couldn’t care less about pleasing others—congratulations, your ship has come in! Gucci Guilty Absolute is the sawed-off shotgun among leather scents. Go forth and conquer.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

A definite “love” or “hate” fragrance. To wear this one must have the confidence to wear it. As strong and obnoxious it may seem in the beginning, fortunately as it gets to the middle stage, it starts to come off a lot more smoother. As for the last stage, a lot more pleasant. I think it’s a good thing for a designer fragrance company to come out with something daring every once in a while. Good job Gucci!
    Scent: 8.5 / 10
    Projection: 7 / 10

As far as I know this fragrance has not been available to test in Canada, so this had to be a blind buy. Upon finally sniffing it I was reminded of another fragrance. That being a vetiver, cypress, and frankincense fragrance from Aesop called Hwyl. They are very similar, although Hwyl has a little bright sweet spice to it. Check it out if you enjoy GG Absolute.
Anyhoo, as one might expect, GG Absolute is a straight forward dark woodsy scent, with explosive topnotes and a cozy subtle skin scent drydown. It’s short lived, but if you enjoy the topnotes, and you wear perfume for you, you won’t mind reapplying.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Wow – an extreme amber vetiver scent that screams “stay away, I’m too dry for you”. It’s certainly different, but not friendly in my opinion.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Smells Damn good for a Designer. Really Masculine, man Notes. No Fruity or Gourmand notes here. If you need a good formal or casual scent with quality with out spending a fortune as in Tom Ford or Creed , get this… Heard its being discontinued

Alright.. so when I first smelled this I was like, “wtf? Blegh, no.”. And this is coming from someone who has tried quite a bit of stuff. However, later on I put some on my skin and was pleasantly surprised. I was like “Oh wow, that’s… actually not bad! There may be hope after all!”. So then I went and bought a big ol’ 5oz bottle of it, and it’s grown on me more. This is good stuff. I definitely got the put-off and ‘blegh’ reaction initially, but give it time. My gf also found it attractive, so that’s another plus!
For anyone who has NOT tried this on their skin, please do that. Just try it on your skin and let it waft up to your nose. Good stuff. If they discontinue it, officially, I’m probably gonna pick up another bottle or so. 🙂

  36. :

    4 out of 5

This is my own opinion on this fragrance and I’m sure there will be others that disagree but Gucci Guilty Absolute is absolutely vile.
It smells like Dettol which is an antiseptic sold in Australia. I am not sure why anyone in their right minds would like to smell like this.
    DO NOT BLIND BUY!

Old school ingredients, modern smell. Looking at the list of notes, you’d think this is some heavy 80s powerhouse, but in reality this is a very dry, sharp leather and wood scent. Not a smidgen of sweetness in this, and I like that. The leather is of the petroleum type (think Fahrenheit), not the fat, buttery leather you smell in 80s fragrances, and by the time it dries down, you are left mostly with this leather note and dry vetiver.
I really like this, but I have to knock a few points off for its lack of originality.
    My score: 7.5/10
    Revised review:
I ended up buying a tester of this, so I’ve had the chance to wear this many times. This is a much, much better scent than I thought before, and a lot more unique. I smell a lot of patchouli and cedar in this, which I didn’t before, which makes this a very, very dark scent. The leather and vetiver are still strong, but perfectly balanced by the herbal and woody notes. I can’t say I have anything in my collection that smells like this, and I’m glad I bought it. In fact, it has become a favorite of mine.
    My rating: 10/10

  41. :

    “C’mere son…” “You know that smell?… That Gasoline smell?… Smells like… Victory!”
If there was ever a marketing opportunity missed by Gucci, It would have been to have used the infamous closing line from Coppola’s ‘Apocalypse Now’ Colonel Kilgore scene.
About as dry as they come, smelling this makes my nose as dry as Wile E. Coyote’s mouth after eating ACME allum…
110% a mallet of masculinity. Wrestle a bear whilst chewing tobacco and skinning a buffalo?… no problem wearing this.
I very much fear that Alberto Morillas’ linear, ‘modern antique’ is destined to be adopted primarily by the hipster breed of today’s pop-culture, the chosen accoutrement to support the monocle, single speed cycle, the braces, beard oil, ‘Peaky Blinders’ hair and tattooed moccasins.

    Fragrance -Gucci Guilty Absolute
    Bottle from – 2017
He’s got that “after the rain in the forest” vibe going on.
This fragrance is all about woody and leathery vetiver with an astonishing touch of ancient cypress and cedar and with a hint of patchouili in the drydown.
Gucci Guilty Absolute is in the middle of the road between a nice fragrance and promotion of freedom of artistic expression.
    Longevity – 8/10(8+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 8/10(moderate to high projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent’s evolution)
Weather -best in autumn, winter and early spring.
    Age – 28+
    Compliments – 6/10
    Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me – leather, vetiver, cypress, cedar, patchouli.
The drydown – Gucci Guilty Absolute doesn’t really change very much. This is a bit linear scent but in a good way.
Emotions -after the rain in the forest, ancient trees in the amazon rainforest, dark forest, mysterious, dark vibe elegance
Occasion -Perfect for special occasions and formal events.
Don’t blind buy this one.Try before you buy.

ok, here’s a review off a blind buy.
The previous reviews gathered here and on bn show some of the most critical reviewers going gaga (almost), even the mixed reviews from the more experienced reviewers were intriguing to me.
A lot of my current favourite notes were listed in Absolute + the reviews, so I knew I had to have it…
    Was it a mistake? NO!
I love KoKoRico by JPG; and this is a drier, more professional scent. Perfect for my day-to-day office wear, all year round.
It’s currently a warm summer day, and I’m 7 hours in. I see why this would be appealing in cold weather considering the dryness, and the leather; however, I believe you could pull this off during the warmer months as well. There’s no booziness and hardly any sweetness to it so it doesn’t get cloying. In the world of Gucci, I do not understand why this was marketed and bottled under the Guilty line as compared to the Gucci Gucci pour Homme line (Oud, Made to Measure). This to me opens up similarly to the Gucci pour homme (the opening which i love) minus the citrus. The woody notes and cypress take over early on and give it some heaviness but the patchouli and vetiver keep it light and enjoyable even on a summer’s day like today. The projection is decent till the 5 hour mark, skin scent afterwards. It lingers on clothes well too. Pretty linear as the hours pass.
Overall, it’s well balanced Vetiver, Patchouli and Cypress. On my skin the leather softens this trio out and isn’t detectable on it’s own. I love it. I would blind buy this and maybe even rebuy it too. My favourite from Gucci (including over, Gucci Gucci Pour Homme, Gucci Pour Homme II, Guilty and Envy) so far.

I was in Amsterdam when I first smelled this, and even in the most liberal, uplifting, bohemian city this thing was just too much. I smelled like a rag in a petrol station. If you light up a cigarette after smelling this, your nostrils are going to explode, I can tell you that! 😀 😀
I was desperate to find something likeable in this, but I just couldn’t. Maybe it’s my fault. I will give another chance to it, but currently: it’s a big f*cking NOPE.
Update1: I really fkn don’t know how but it definitely starts growin’ on me….how??!!!! Well… maybe that’s what I like…. if a scent grabs my attention and doesn’t let it go…. maybe i will purchase it…. it’s still not an easy decision…

  46. :

Unapologetically masculine fragrance which I enjoyed from the moment I smelled it. Very reminiscent of Dior’s Fahrenheit upon initial blast but the similarity fades quickly. After the gasoline-like opening, the scent remains linear on my skin. I get a slightly sweet, earthy, woody and sporadically skanky frame on top of a leather base.
If you’re searching for an easy-going compliment getter, you may want to look elsewhere. My wife honestly cannot stand it and neither could the sales associates in the store where I sampled it. However, other women I’ve been in the presence of really enjoyed it to the point of it brightening up their expressions. It’s definitely a love it or hate it fragrance. Gucci was daring with this release in the current designer market and I commend them for that. I’m definitely getting myself a bottle.

  47. :

Give this a try!! I blind bought this a couple of months ago and wore it once and absolutely hated it! Last week I sprayed it on and for some reason instantly fell in love with it! I wore it out for myself cause I didn’t think other people would be please by it. Sure enough I get 3 unsolicited compliments all by women. If you like smelling like a man and are ready to put some hair on your chest, then give this bad boy a try!

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t like any of the new Gucci’s from after Tom Ford left as the creative director but this is beautiful just dry realistic dusty atlas cedar note and a non offensive hint of leather underneath

  49. :

    4 out of 5

This one spits leather in the face of all the bland citrusy, watery and breezy fragrances. And any fragrance that spits, is a hit with me. After it spits leather, it throws in a few woodsy and oily notes but this is mostly about the leather. In fact, it’s leather on steroids. Don’t expect any fragrance who spits to be sophisticated. This one does not evoke prestige or wealth. It spits.
I greatly appreciate any modern release that dares to be bold and if nothing else, this one is bold.
I’m still trying to figure out when to wear it but upon each try, I like it more. It’s so one note but the one note is so bold and ballsy that I must love it. And the fact that it is so one note makes me wonder how it could compliment or out right cure other fragrances in my collection. Its simplicity makes it easy to play around with.
Not for the easily offended. This will offend everyone at your office. I promise.
I don’t follow fragrance sales but I’d be interested to see how this one is doing. If it has mass appeal that might give me hope that the powers that be in the men’s fragrance business might finally grow some balls and give us something other than inoffensive watery fragrances.

Bought this June 19/2018 and I’m in LOVE,
One of the most sophisticated leather perfumes I’ve smelled,
Long lasting, can smell it from distance of my handbag and when I move my hands,
It’s Carismatic, Sophisticated, gives me the feeling of uniqueness and confidence.
    Love it.

The first perfume that I owned from Gucci was Gucci Pour Homme II, and I was young at that age and didn’t really know about perfumes. As my nose got trained and I became familiar with Fragrantica many years ago, I started to appreciate the gem. But sadly it was almost empty and it was discontinued. As a student in school, I didn’t have the money to buy it as it was becoming more expensive each day.
I tried and sampled many other perfumes from Gucci, but didn’t really like any of them. Gucci pour homme (the new one), Guilty, and the others. I was kinda disappointed from this house. Then I found out every few years, Gucci makes a masterpiece and discontinues them, for odd reasons. Those will always remain as priceless gems. GPH I and GPH II are excellent examples of this theory.
Guilty Absolute is another one of this kind. It truly is enchanting, mesmerizing and breathtaking. A real masterpiece. I’m afraid the history will be repeated. It will be discontinued soon, the prices will rise and we regret why we didn’t buy backup bottles when we had the chance.
    Anyway, the perfume:
It is not from a niche house, but it definitely has the quality of a niche fragrance.
It smells like a wonderful, enchanting old bazaar in the middle east with all the spices that tickle your nose and make that place memorable. It’s cold, but your old leather jacket and the smell of all those spices makes you feel warm. The unique theme of the perfume makes it a love or hate. I’m glad it was love from the first sniff for me. I really love this because it kinda reflects my personality. Definitely a manly scent. Not for boys.
It stays for more than 8 hours, but you get 4-6 hours of good performance. I know it all depends on your skin chemistry and these stuff.
    Scent: 100/10..!!!
    Uniqueness: 10/10
Longevity: for me, 10/10. (8 hours is enough for a day)
Projection: 10/10. It may be a little bit overpowering and annoying to others around you, so you have to know how much you spray.
    Well done, thumbs up Gucci!
I just hope it won’t be discontinued.

NO NO NO NO NO – this can’t be!
This is just PETROL – spilt on my hands as I’m filing up my car – no wait this is a scent???
@NZFH below summed it up making me feel that indeed I was sane. Its not at all an olfactory challenge except “to the most virginal of noses”.
For the first time I can not think anything positive about a smell – wow – I’m stumped – here I can only think this is marketing hype overrating a dreadful scent that in reality its only saving grace is its price (potentially).
I blind bought this on so many positive reviews – today I really have learned that just because people express themselves succinctly or not it doesn’t mean they have enough experience to be objective… I know – its always subjective..
I’ve read so many elaborate reviews and I am one to be analytical but really, other than a smattering of notes that occasionally whiff of leather this basically comes across as a petrol smell – thats it – full stop – stop with the citrus and this and that – it doesn’t really happen (do you work for Gucci?)!!!
I tried again and nope, just a simple linear petrol – it had a short life and minimal projection for an EDP. Some reviews and articles on websites suggested that this is a turn around for Gucci and its like they pinched back master perfumers – nope – just a simple EDP – and even then it is not so fantastic in projection or silage which would reflect the quality of the oils and hence price. Frankly a splash of petrol would be cheaper and longer lasting – Not being cynical just critical…
My GAWD – I’ve owned so many leather or scents in this class that have so much more happening – like Galloway from PDM for example which at least give a similar smell but challenge your olfactory senses which is the secret to a good perfume so as to not make a smell that smells like petrol just smell like petrol – I mean who wants petrol as a scent or just plain leather for that matter.
I simply have not had the time to go sample it in a store – ouch – that’ll teach me! I’m sure some will suggest I’m snobby but really you just need to get out there and smell some more lol…
Even the guy in the advert doesn’t look impressed!

This is a masculine for Today. Totally appropriate for the young and modern who appreciate the smoke without the sweet fruit. Relatively linear, a crossroad in the designer world for those who want masculine without the dated old man. All of the notes are not given by the artist, beyond the medicinal sterile opening, you get a sweet leather. Perhaps a slight booze note, nuanced by a masterful blending of cypress, vetiver, leather and sweet patchouli. Not only art, but a scent whos sillage leaves a smolderingly seductive trail. As addictive as anything ive tried. This is for the modern man who has unique timeless taste and does not look to the approval of others
Once again the great Alberto Morillas leaves his mark on the annals of fragrance history.

Really? you have got to be kidding me! I am shocked. And not for the reasons you might think.
I sampled this for the first time today – a local department store has FINALLY got it in, and I felt a slight sense of excitement when I saw it, given everything I had read online about it being a challenging left-field scent.
    Err, no.
It’s simply a sophisticated smooth leather, with slight plasticky medicinal/antiseptic nuances. That’s it. I find it to be extremely pleasant, and not at all challenging. NOT AT ALL. As in “zero.”
Gucci Guilty Absolute would only be “challenging” to the most virgin of noses, exposed to the very safest and dullest mainstream fragrances.
I like it and would wear it, but I probably won’t purchase a bottle because of its linearity, and also because it feels like an instant skin-scent.

Gents, as brutal as this may seem, you’ll be surprised woman may love this on you… particularity feminine women. Let me explain…
I purchased this man’s cologne blind because it’s increasingly known for its uber masculinity. Since I enjoy masculine fragrances I knew I had to own this juice.
What’s ironic is my beautiful wife doesn’t necessarily appreciate many of my overly masculine scents. You knowm the: “I’m Tarzan you Jane” kind of scents. She’s more into the clean, fresh, and aquatic type of fragrances on her man.
So I was pleasantly surprised when she went crazy over Gucci Guilty Absolute. As bizarre and masculine as the scent is, she can’t stop sniffing me. It’s completely different from the fresh, sporty, Aventus/Sauvage colognes popular today. In short, it’s downright caveman style.
Honestly, I purchased this fragrance because I knew someday its going to be a classic. I guarantee this is going to be sought after someday as the fragrance that tried to bring masculinity back to today’s less than manly world.
As for me, I never thought Guilty Absolute would be so loved by my wife. She’s just one of those gals that likes her man to smell like a man. And this is an 80’s style juice released in 2017 with a modern masculine composition.
The bottom line is you have to get your nose on this juice. Keep in mind it’s not going to be appreciated by everyone, especially if you over spray. However, despite it’s risky character, I believe it’s blind buy worthy because even if you dislike the scent, don’t despair, because this will turn out to be a classic when it’s inevitably discontinued. In fact, over at Basenotes many people are saying it’s already been discontinued. After all, risky scents like these don’t last long on the market, however, they often become legends because they break all the rules. 9/10.

This will soon get discontinued, the stock will dry up, and in some years people will tell stories about this legend of a scent. Prices will be heavily inflated and it will be raved about in the same way the original M7 is.

I am still in shock that I am in so love with this masterpiece – seriously, Gucci? After bland and totally characterless Gucci Bloom & Gucci Guilty lines, you give us this soon-to-be-legendary gem? I am loving every single thing about it: the color of th
