Beautiful smooth and pleasant smell. As it is very versatile it absolutely qualifies for a signature scent. Its definetely an outstand and timeless. I believe its no coincedence many male actors with class wear it.

Finally got a chance to try this classic after a trade with a fellow fragrantica member landed me a sample of it.
It’s a resplendent Spring fragrance. I feel like Spingy McSpingerson when wearing this. It’s exhilarating. It’s got a prettiness to it (from the Iris?) that I’m still processing. I’m not to keen of pretty fragrances.
But I’m looking forward to playing around with it.
And Regardless, I can fully appreciate the masterful artistry of it. Whether or not I personally decide to buy it, I feel privileged to have worn it, and totally understand it’s fans.

    christian grey of fragrances.
Nothing in my collection smells more classy and sophisticated than GIT.
GIT smells really high quallity and well rounded that I want to just spray it on my face.
A classic fragrance that will never be dated.

Once again Creed never disappoints (except for the price and persistence). I state that I consider this house as one of the most overrated that there are in the market because it creates excellent perfumes but not masterpieces except in the case of GIT. That said, do you know what Tweed is? It is the commercial name of a carded wool fabric, originally from Scotland, originally used to make shawls. In fact, when you spray it, the wool is absolutely felt together with the grass! Yes, wool! It is a rich, fresh and peppery scent that evokes the wild English countryside, the wind, the heather, the fog and the sea breeze. From this description we understand that I am talking about a perfume that has no fixed seasons to wear. It is a fragrance that can be worn all year round, for any occasion and rest assured that people will notice you. It reminds me of a raging sea slamming against a Scottish cliff on a windy, cloud-filled day. Another place? THE GIANT’S CAUSEWAY (Ireland). In my opinion it is the masterpiece of Creed.
UPDATE: The best clone of this Colossus is “Emerald Isle” by Parfums Vintage. Both fragrances are wonders but the price of Emerald Isle is lower and the performance higher. Here is another example of how a clone can be superior to the original (see Afnan Supremacy Silver with Aventus).

The best looking bottle in the game but, smells dated and mature. Can’t stress that enough.

Dont know if I can add anything that hasnt been said. It deserves its status as an iconic masterpiece. Its crisp and refreshing in a very high end and well blended way. Has that clean, fresh cut grass, refined UK gentleman feel.
I dont know if this is one most girls would find especially sexy – probably just refined, pleasant, and clean. There is nothing off putting or offensive about it.
Maybe its the name of the scent too, but if you want something that smells very clean and fresh, and transports you to a green field in Ireland or Scotland, this does that for me. If you want a bold panty dropper from Creed, obviously go with Aventus

Great gentleman’s scent. Very versatile. Good performance.
Very agreeable and safe choice for most occasions.

In 2015 I was an innocent 16 year old who didn’t care too much about fragrances, with Lalique Encre Noir as the most expensive bottle in my small collection.
Then I smelled Creed Green Irish Tweed and it all went downhill for my pocket, and uphill for my nose from there.

What’s with all the hate over the GIT/Cool Water comparisons?
I think it’s undeniably similar to CW. And there’s nothing wrong with that. CW is a great, classic fragrance. As of this comment, the words “Cool Water” have been written on this page 470 times. (Make that 471.) That’s no coincidence.
Is GIT better quality than CW? Yes. More complex? Yes. (Much) better longevity? Yes, yes yes… But that doesn’t make CW a bad fragrance. They’re both terrific.
So CW runs about $20-$30/bottle, so what? Not all cheap fragrances wear like a cheap suit. Personally, I have respect for the solid, timeless cheapies. I see those as the cornerstone of the male fragrance industry.
Perhaps CW was totally over-exposed in the early 90s… but that was a long time ago. I’d bet that if you put the Fragrantica population in a warehouse and doused yourself in CW, 8 times out of 10 people are going to think it’s GIT.
So… which one is over-exposed now?

  13. :

It has grown on me. Beautiful scent that reminds of fresh forest. The best part comes after about 30 minutes. And no doubts about high quality 🙂

Bought a sample having never tried it; have it an initial test spray on a piece of natural paper – I was surprised at how unsophisticated it was. I figured I’d give it a go for real another day.
Today is that day; 30mins in and I’m depressed at how much of a Normie I smell like. Genuinely I feel like I’m wearing an 11.99 teen fragrance. It’s got that sporty, male 90s funk that makes me feel so basic.
Every positive uplifting and confidence-building boost a fine fragrance can give you; this is pulling in the very opposite direction.

This fragrance does remind me of Davidoff Cool Water, which I have never liked since to me it is the emblem of how synthetic and unnatural a fragrance can be. But that was the Calvin Klein era, so…..
Green Irish Tweed is much better than Cool Water. Especially when it comes to the drydown.
The Creed one was launched in 1985 while Davidoff launched Cool water in 1988. Guess who copied who.
I am very surprised to discover such different notes giving a similar result.,though.
Anyway, to me Green Irish Tweed is a well blended fragrance as most Creeds (even though I like a very few) but it smells dated and too much reminding a recent past.
Wearing this is like saying :”I used to be an alpha male”.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

I can see that it was a great choice back in the eighties/nineties even early 00s. It is so easy to wear and the sweet ambergris makes the drydown great as with most Creeds, however overall I find GIT to be quite dated and cheap smelling in 2018. Maybe its the verbena which I’m not quite fond of but I would not recommend this.

    The world’s best versatile fragrance!
If you looking for the fragrance that works in both formal and casual wear, good both day or night, refreshing you up in the hot day and warmer in colder this is what you looking for.
This fragrance smell so modern unlike any other 80s fragrance it is complex and sensual, and yes it damn alluring in the same time, so it works very well if you need a girl get closer to you. The performance is great too, on my skin it last 10-12 hrs.
    Scent 9.5/10
    Silage 8/10
    Longevity 9.5/10
    Versatility 10/10
This is the best choice on the market if you looking for only one fragrance to buy. One fragrance works all, office, date night, sport, shopping or staying at home, niche but mass pleasing and easy to wear, great longevity but not over powering.
    ” Timeless classic “

@dennis.1 your assumption is wrong. I love creed’s Royal oud and BdP however, GIT and Aventus just don’t do it for me. Sorry pal. Over hyped frags, again, in my opinion. I like frags based on how they actually smell not just because they are niche and expensive.

  19. :

I dislike this fragrance very much. Much like Aventus, overhyped and not worth the money in my opinion

This is a Timeless classic that cannot be duplicated. GIT is the ultimate warm weather scent with superb longevity and sillage. I’m sorry ladies and gents Cool Water and this Gem should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. Always have a backup!!

    Green Cool Water
Why, oh why you do this to me.
I’m searching since a long time a men’s perfume woody, aquatic and green and the disaster came the second day that I wore it.
I have been gifted a big decant of this gem, 30ml from a NOT a perfume lover, friend.
Thank you so much you know who you are!!
It was greeeeeen and aquatic and deep like mitsouko edp and Silences by Jacomo on my skin but when I saw the reviews I said WTH…Cool Water??
Is this perfume that I sprayed 4 hours ago on my hair, my neck, my T-shirt, my everything is Cool Water??
I said hey, somethings wrong is going on in here…
The violet leaf was so deep green like a forest.
    The verbena lemon so light…
    Let me tell you this:
I had Cool Water back in 1990.
It was a really great perfume and a loved one.
I haven’t try any reformulation of Cool Water since then.
So, I just don’t know HOW Cool Water smells like now…
    Green Irish Creed…
I tried it on my wrists the next day…
    OH, NO!
Something “Coolish Watering” came to my mind…
I smelled again my wrists…and waited…then smelled again.
No Mitsouko EDP, No Silences, NO so green.
This is such a strange thing…
I have taken my shower like I do everyday, I didn’t ate something spicy or sour and look what happened with my Green Men’s Perfume :(((
    All the magic gone.
I will keep “working” on it on my body and clothes BUT YOU GUYS…I didn’t want another Aquatic but something GREEN and short of Aquatic not to smell like a barber shop or Bleu from Chanel that I gave my money and it became after 1 hour super Aquatic but VERY masculine one…
Really it doesn’t fit with my image…
So lei’s put this perfume in the bottle of Relax by Davidoff (the vintage one) and say “relax…I’m your new lover…”
    That’s all for now.
    I will keep you updated.
    V

SCENT OF THE DAY: Creed’s Green Irish Tweed (GIT) is no stranger to perfume aficionados, businesmen and fragrance lovers alike. Released in 1985 GIT is classified as a fresh and woody fragrance and continues to be a top Creed seller. GIT opens with notes of crisp lemon verbena and peppermint, and dries down with notes of lavender, iris, sandalwood and ambergris. When I smell GIT my first thoughts are fresh, masculine, luxurious and green. GIT is inoffensive, versatile and very easy to wear. Imagine Irish Spring body soap, now multiply the depth, quality and scent trail and you get Green Irish Tweed.
Longevity: I get about 5-6 hours of longevity with GIT, 7-8 if I use moisturizer or body oil.
Price and Alternatives: Retail price for 4oz bottle you’re looking at spending $425, and can be found on grey market sites like Fragrancenet for roughly $200. However, purchasing from Creed directly will ensure you receive a newer batch of perfume. If you’re still on the fence and not ready to commit, I recommend looking for a reliable Facebook fragrance group. Often you can find people selling legitimate samples and decants for reasonable and fair prices.
Alternatively, Egra by Rasasi can be picked up for about $40 and Cool Water by Davioff can be found for about $25. While both alternatives are very similar to GIT they all completely different and uniqe in their own regards. If you’re not looking to spend the $200 and you’re not comfortable with going the Fragrance group route, I recommend buying both Egra and Cool Water and layering the two. You won’t be getting GIT but this will get you the next best thing.
Final thoughts: Creed’s Green Irish Tweed is a beautifuly blended fragrance. Worthy of earning the title of Signature Scent and a staple in every mans fragrance collection.

Chez bond, cool water, tres nuit… all these perfumes can only dream of becoming like the legendary Green Irish Tweed. All of them fought desperetly to reach the level of GIT but failed.
GIT is pierre bourdon’s greatest achievement. More than 30 years passed since it’s release and it’s still stunning.

Very much like Cool Water on the drydown, but greener and more verdant in its topnotes.

Perhaps it is partly down to the alluring, sensuous name of this perfume that smelling it was such a bitter disappointment. This is a slightly more nuanced version of duty-free fragrances such as Burberry Brit.

I smelled the famous GIT today. I’m sorry to say,but i don’t like it. I get some sharp and metallic note-the violet leaf i guess. It smells sporty and green but it’s not sophisticated enough for me. Aventus is more crowd pleasing and i like it more.

This is the type of scent I imagine Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would wear. Strict, well dressed, respected, but fair.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

It smells almost like Cool Water but with a touch more herbal and with the iris more present.
The longevity and the sillage are moderate.
Honestly I find it too expensive for what it offers besides it smells something outdated.
Good perfume but too expensive for what it offers.

  29. :

Oh No! What have they done to one of the finest warm weather scents ever created.
I started wearing Creed in 2004 and probably wore it everyday until I went back to study in 2008. For whatever reason I haven’t got around to getting a bottle….until now
Wow. This is NOT the masterpiece I remember. The fresh, aquatic citrus of the opening and which remained throughout disappears quite quickly giving way to violet leaf and Iris. Leaving a fairly plastic scent. Me no like!
I really am not going to go on anymore, but GIT is not GIT anymore. I actually used to understand the similarity with Cool Water, another ruined scent. But this is not that close anymore so can see why people don’t get the comparison.
I am truly shocked. Unlike current Body Kouros, and Reflection man – which are hardly any different to earlier incarnations – this genuinely has changed!
Creed really have lost it. I pray they do not destroy Original Vetiver next!

    GREEN IRISH TWEED
The Opening is green, and fresh, but not grassy like. The scent is more like leaves after a rain, or a cool stream in the forest. It definitely smells natural. You’ll be able to get the Opening notes for a while, About 20 minutes, then the heart notes come in with the Violet leaf very present. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to wait for the drydown. Green Irish Tweed is a green herbal fragrance very mature and sophisticated in my opinion.
Some People claim that this smells exactly like Cool Water.. This is not the case both are different fragrances, with GIT the much better one. Don’t believe myths, try it out yourself, and you’ll see the difference.
All in all a great fragrance, and on my wishlist.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

An absolute classic that is very difficult to replicate! I get about 9 hours with two sprays. Projects for about 3 hours and bordering on a strong sillage. The opening may not be to everyones taste. It’s like a bitter citrus punch in the face, but in a good way! I can understand people saying they get a cut grass vibe but for me it’s like a different type of leafage/foliage, some sort of freshly cut greenary!

  33. :

Being new to fragrances in general, I only knew what I’ve always liked: summer freshies or delicious gourmands for the winter. I never explored anything “different,” especially green scents. I had watched every review on GIT, read every FB comment about it, seen every For Sale post fill up in minutes… and I didn’t understand. So I got a sample.
I have to say, this is the perfect fragrance for those like me who want to get introduced to green scents. It’s not overwhelming like some others I’ve smelled. It’s smooth and refreshing. The drydown is incredible. I will be getting a bottle so I can give it more full wearings before I form a full opinion.

Okay after all the hype, I closed my eyes and bought a sample decal of the Creed GIT. Ladies and gentlemen, this thing smells terrible on me. So horrible!!! Its so horrendous that even my 3year old daughter actually told me “daddy, I dont like the way you smell” – exact quote!!! Thank God I only bought the samples. I will be giving away the second tube. Such a horrible smell! This creed GIT is not for me!

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I bought this on impulse months ago. I’m a woman and this is clearly meant to be a man’s scent but something about it appealed to me at the time that I was willing to plunk all that $$$ on it.
So I took it home, sprayed it on a tissue, and it smelled awful. Like cleaning fluid. Well, okay not “awful” really but like say the violet leaf lost it’s mind and decided to murder all the notes and now it’s trying to murder my nose.
Oh well, my nose decides to go anosmic towards random notes often. I decided to wait it out a few weeks to see if what I smelled in the store would return. Every few days or weeks I’d smell the nozzle, and PEW! Still cleaning fluid!
This has been going on for months now. Finally I was reading some Viking reviews and some people were comparing it to GIT and I felt like everyone must be crazy?? How can something that smells like hot cinnamon-citrus-rose, smell anything like cool violet leaf lysol??
So I sprayed GIT on my skin…. And then 2 minutes goes by… Wow.. What is that beautiful smell? Like a field of green leafy irises after a rain in the early morning. Oh. It’s the arm with the GIT on it.
IT NEEDED TO BE ON THE WARM SKIN IN ORDER TO BLOOM! Wow, I feel so dumb. Nozzle-sniffing and spraying on paper this whole time because I didn’t want to be stuck with Lysol-stink on my skin for hours.
But anyway, I’m glad the mystery is solved and that this smells as wonderful as the day I bought it.
    Brief description:
The lemon verbena, iris, and violet leaf combine as an accord to create this dewy early morning forest rain feeling and sandalwood softens the edges and ambergris adds some WOW to it. There is a slight sweetness but it is cool and fresh like the feeling you get when chewing minty gum. It’s an energizing fragrance you’d want to put on early in the morning to go to work. It’s really magical and a little bit clean and soapy, but soapy in a good way.
And the similarity to Viking? I guess in the dry-down maybe the verbana blending with the iris creates a cinnamon-y effect? I kind of see it, but honestly GIT would be the much older, much cooler and fresher half-brother of Viking. (I own and like both so, not trying to diss Viking at all, they’re a little bit similar but also very different.)
Anyway, long story short, sometimes nozzle-sniffing isn’t enough, you actually have to spray it on the skin. Lesson learned.

I love Green Irish Tweed: if you apply too much it can start off a little harsh but will soon open up into fresh green notes – it reminds me of home, walking in the raw Irish countryside and of freshly cut grass.
This is a great day time scent for that typical ‘in between’ Irish weather – neither hot nor cold – and has great longevity on my skin that lasts well into the second day with decent sillage that gets compliments from people who sit down next to me. Green Irish Tweed may not be suitable for office wear.

  37. :

I don’t understand the hype on this at all. A musty, salty version of cool water without the freshness, at 5x the price. Granted it smells less synthetic – but I would suggest you save your money and go for good old cool water instead.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Only after i got a decant of git i saw the dry down of git is very natural and not synthetic like tres nuit . Opening of tres nuit is beautiful but less sharp than git but dry down of tres nuit is nothing like git . Both last equally , 4-5 hours max.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

My favourite fragrance of all time. Fresh, crisp, earthy masterpiece. IMHO this is not like coolwater (which i also like though). Coolwater is a more blue, aquatic, synthetic smelling fragrance, wheras GIT smells way more complex, green, and classy with that unmistakable Creed signature ambergris dry down. It blows davidoff out the water (pun intended). I will always have a bottle in my collection.

  40. :

Without exaggeration now we can state the obvious and it is an irreversible fact that the GIT has become a legend that floats around the universe independent of time and place.

I was lucky enough to get a sample vial of this, thanks NAB!!, and I can say it lived up to the hype big time.
Beautiful scent through and through. A very nice, clean, spring time green opening right out the gate. For those that compare this to Tres Nuit, which I myself do, I would say that the difference is that it’s a bit more GREEN than Tre Nuit’s opening. In my opinion there is just something superior with Green Irish Tweed, likely due to the better quality ingredients, but they are nearly identical IMO. There is just a sort of higher level smoothness to it, that is special and the reason it’s still one of the world’s very best fragrances after all this time, and why I give the edge to it over Tres Nuit.
Once the lovely green opening dries down, it softens up a bit with hint of iris shining through along with the violet, while still maintaining it’s green charm. From there it becomes a nice sandalwood/somewhat musky mix of green and violet/iris. It’s a fairly simple scent note set, but it goes so good together.
I would describe it as a walk down a path through a wet grass meadow on a nice spring day, that then passes through a violet/iris patch, and into the woods a bit. It’s very clean, and outdoors fresh smelling. Perfect for spring, or a summer night.
The performance is pretty decent, 4-5hrs, but the projection isn’t all that great IMO, people would have to be fairly close to smell it. I would describe this scent as one that you will likely admire more for yourself, and one that your partner will love on you when they are within kissing distance.
9.5/10, as I only deduct half a point for the fact that there is a clone such as Tres Nuit that is so close and MUCH cheaper, like a 10th of the price. Also for the fact that it’s not a great projector. All in all, though, it’s a beautiful scent that is truly elite and one that everyone should own at least once in their lifetime. LOVE YOU NAB

This is a classy fragrance. I wore this quite a lot during my office working days and the women loved it! It’s clean, crisp and gentleman like. Unlike the complexity of the modern scents that have bombarded todays market, Green Irish Tweed is more refined. That’s not to say that it’s old-fashioned, far from it! It’s just a very straight-forward classic. I would get another bottle but it’s hard to find nowadays.

I wanted to like this so much and on theory it was supposed to be the perfect fragrance for me, but all I can smell here is Chanel Egoiste Platinum gone bad. I will stick with Chanel.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

What can I say that has not already been said?
Green Irish Tweed is simple, clean and balanced, finding a rarefied elegance in all aspects. For me, violet is ever so slightly dominant, but held perfectly in check by a sharp green lemon verbena note. There is also a hint of powdery sharpness from the iris – but again, that is checked by the creamy woodiness of sandalwood. I don’t personally pick up the ambergris, but I’d guess it’s there simply as an anchor to prevent the instant annihilation of this masterpiece into thin air.
GIT is a venerable but timeless scent that exudes understated class; worldly confidence tempered with modesty, wrapped in a casual aura of implicit authenticity. There is nothing about the scent of GIT that confers a sense of pretentiousness or self-aggrandizement – it’s the comfort food of masculine niche perfumery. While there is absolutely no DNA connection whatsoever, GIT can be clearly understood as Aventus’ older, more worldly brother – what Aventus would aspire to be when he truly become a MAN. Where Aventus is sweet, attractive and comfortable in its own right, GIT is near perfection in a gentleman’s fragrance.
My only minor criticism is that for me, Green Irish Tweed lacks the staying power that is (or should be) typical of its lofty price point.
Some really nice and complimentary members of the GIT clone club that I’d also recommend are Tres Nuit (cheap), Caribbean Joe (DIRT cheap) and Al-Rehab Champion Black (oil or spray). Note that none of these should be considered a replacement for GIT, but rather complimentary fragrances that possess a compatibly similar profile and are worthy of ownership in their own right. Curiously, Raw Chemistry Pheromone for Men is also very compatible, having its own soft green/citrus profile, and being on the oily side can serve to extend GIT (or others) well beyond its normal duration.

I received a sample of this about 5 years ago, since then I bought it and pretty much wear it every day from Spring to autumn, unless it’s really warm and I get out VIW or Amouage Reflection
My opinion it’s better than Aventus, purely based on the fact that I’ve had 2 different bottles of Aventus and they smelled like different fragrances, one was the legendary smoky/pineapple combination and the second was far too pineapple/apple/rose. It was that fruity on the initial spray it smelled like Virgin Island Water. Aventus is far too inconsistent! GIT is perfect every time.
It does resemble cool waters – but a much more deeper manly version, projects and lasts for hours!
For me it’s my perfect 10/10 fragrance and I only a handful of them

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I hate Cool Water and love this one. So, in my humble opinion, yes they share some DNA, but GIT is thousands of times more refined and well put together. The smell itself is way way better. Tres nuit on the other end is really close to GIT and I get better performance with it. So I’m not hating on the cheapies, I just disagree with GIT being a niche version of Cool Water. It’s is own version. The only one!

  49. :

What else can be said about this timeless classi? The word classic being an understatement. This has to be one of the best innofensive and versatile scents I’ve ever come across. Date night, hanging out with the guys, after the gym. You name it and this can do it. Extremely fresh but there is a slight dirtiness to it that is incredible. A must have in my opinion

  50. :

Nothing is certain in life but death, taxes, and a backup bottle of GIT.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

So after hearing so much hype on GIT, I tried it on skin for the first time yesterday. What can I say…it is way too overhyped. Yes, it is green, clean and easy-to-wear. Can it transcend time and is still relevant today? No way. To me it is very outdated and would fit someone at least over the age of 30. I have smelled Cool Water before this, and yes it has similarities to GIT, but a lot more abrasive and synthetic. So, if you like the smell, go for GIT, if you’re willing to pay that high price tag. I just have to say that people have been praising Creed so much, even though none of their fragrances feel special. Some don’t last on the skin, others smell like an older gentleman (or a combination of the two, I’m looking at you Millesime Imperial). To me, this whole house feels like a glorified designer with luxury price tags. In the end, just try those fragrances for yourselves and make a judgement. Is it worth it? Or is it just hype? For me, it’s the latter.

I have just been given a bottle of Maverick Aftershave that was gifted to my late grandfather in the 1970s or 80s by his son, my uncle, who lived and travelled abroad a lot. It’s by a German manufacturer called Stiftung. And I swear, it smells identical to Green Irish Tweed. I was astonished. It’s a beautiful ‘aftershave’ that lingers all day long. I can’t find it retailing new anywhere on the internet. Nor any information about its history. This bottle almost certainly predates GIT and Cool Water. Draw your own inferences…
Given the price of Creed, I shall treasure this handsome blue-green bottle. I’ve had to decant some of it into a travel atomiser because it’s an old fashioned splash-on bottle which dispenses far too clumsily for a modern man! And I don’t want to waste a drop of it.

I tested GIT back in ’16 when I bought two 120 ml bottles of Aventus from Neiman Marcus. While GIT did have a more natural smell and feel than Cool water — and smelt quite nice. The extremely close similarity in smell can make a person feel like an idiot to pay Greed prices, rather than just getting Cool Water or the like, and smell equally as nice. It seems as though a person is better off spending the money on getting a Greed offering, that doesn’t have a clone that smells 99.9% similar. GIT is only worth buying, if you can buy an authentic bottle that’s heavily discounted!

My first fragrance from Creed. The first time I tried this I wasn’t a huge fan of it as it just smelled like freshly cut grass, but it quickly grew on me when the base notes started to come through a bit more. Not had any comments about it like I’ve had with other fragrances, but I don’t personally think of it as an attractive smell in the first place, it’s just nice and fresh.
This is a great spring day scent in my opinion, but obviously it is suited to more than that, as with all scents I chose my depending on if it’s appropriate for the occasion

Received my sample yesterday in the mail. Batch code is A3216C01.
I have never smelled creed on my skin but I do own Tres Nuit for two years now. Right off the bat I can see the similarities. BUT! Within the next 15-30 mins is when GIT starts to separate itself from all the copycats. Its very green, but has some floral undertones that mix Very well with each other. I am going to give it some more wears but right now I am not blown off my feet. Which all I did was sit on the couch sniffing my arm. I will wear it to work tomorrow and see what happens! But overall I am Impressed and can definitely tell this is made with good quality materials. Update coming.

I have to give a few words, because this is my favorite fragrance. It was my first niche purchase and the one I always come back to. Some settings are more appropriate than others, but there really isn’t ever a bad time to wear GIT. It projects very well—perhaps even more than desired—but I guess you can’t complain about the smell of a fresh green breeze.
I legitimately can detect the sandalwood/ambergris dry down after 24hrs (yes, including a shower)! The complete batch code is “CM3216F01,” for those interested.
If only all my fragrances performed so well! I’m looking at you Millesime Imperial…

Not a huge fan of the opening, at least for the first 15 minutes or so but my goodness it’s beyond epic after that. Great performance, legendary scent. Simply amazing.
    9.75/10
edit: Now that the opening has grown on me, this is an easy 10/10. Backup bottle worthy for sure.
