    Fragrance -Golden Boy Dueto Parfums
    Bottle from – 2015
Golden Boy is a sophisticated and refined leather fragrance from the beginning till the end.You might feel like you’ve stepped into a wild west saloon with a gorgeous saloon girls in fancy dress costumes. It opens with a little bit overwhelming and penetrating mix of violet leaf and saffron with a deep touch of leather.I can detect that petroleum/oil/gasoline vibe in the opening.Than as it lingers on the skin,it slowly moves to a nice, creamy, moderatly sweet, smoky and musky blend of leather, incense and musk with a wisper of vanilla. It has some similarities to C for Men by Clive Christian,Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford,Aoud Leather by Montale and Colonia Leather by Acqua di Parma.
    Longevity – 10/10(10+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 9/10(heavy projection and silage for the first 3-4 hours)
Weather – best in autumn and winter
    Age – 25+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 8,5/10
Main notes according to me – leather, saffron, incense, suede, violet leaf, vanilla.
The drydown is smoky and a little bit musky i get some -suede,incense,vanilla and musk.
Emotions -wild west saloon girls, dark vibe elegance, sophisticated, sexy, decadence.
Occasion -perfect for special occasions, formal events and night out.
Definitely will get everyone’s attention. You’ll get compliments with this one.

Golden Boy is not a Tuscan Leather doppelganger..it’s just a flatliner..totally removed from the crispy TL or the ubermasculine La Yuqawam ph, it just doesn’t work on me…glad I tried it but I can’t dig it, once over the flacon won’t be replaced!

I’m not a fan of Tuscan leather or montale aoud leather, and this one is different in a good way.
As soon as I sprayed it , I got a strong smell of leather, but there are other notes which resemble one of my favorite perfumes, Faqat lil rejal from Rasasi. As weird as it sounds, I get a lot of bandage-like oudy vibe with golden boy, similar but less intense than Faqat lil rejal. This makes it different to the overly sweet TL and AL, both I can’t tolerate.
I sprayed AL and FLR, as well as golden boy to compare scents, and the latter seems to be in the middle between the other 2.
Strong projection and good longevity, just the way I like it. It’s not as strong as FLR, but lasted much longer than AL.
I’m not a fan of leather perfumes, but this one is certainly worth trying (or having even)

Wearing this today at work. Tried it on at home a few times, and really was digging it. Lets see how this goes throughout the day.
I’m also digging Uber. Very nice scent.

Of all the scents, I’ve tried so far, composed on this theme – mainly Tuscan Leather, Aoud Leather, La Yuqawam – Golden Boy is the one I like the most, followed by the Montale. The other two have a dominant Raspberry note which goes super-sweet on me that I don’t like. But here the violet leaf & saffron blend adds a potent dash of spiciness to the mix which is really quite sexy. A warm cloud of smoky soft-florals, spices and suede – on a creamy-smooth musky vanillic base. Quite linear but with solid performance – lasts all day while projecting beautifully within your space.
Definitely worth a try if you like scents based on this theme or if you think stuff like TL is stupidly overpriced.
    8/10

    I totally agree with Valantis.
My review is a few stops below.

  7. :

Golden boy is not Tuscan’s Leather clone.
It has enough balls to be an independent fragrance.
You can have both frags. to your collection for different occasions.
If you looking for TL clone, go for Rassasi La yuqawam.

What a wonderful fragrance! strong but smooth, leather but creamy. Amazing stuff.

I don’t know why people go crazy over this… I suppose it’s more wearable than Tuscan Leather and its clones, but I much prefer La Yuqawam

Finally. Something that actually smells like leather. When I personally think of leather, I think of a new belt, or jacket or something like that. Fresh quality genuine leather. Some of these so called leather niche fragrances smells nothing short of a chemical mess that’s horrible and I wouldn’t dare wear it. This is creamy and sweet leather and is perfect for a cool day while wearing a leather jacket to top it all off. I’m glad I bought it blind! Success!!!

This smells on me like a new leather bag, full of smashed raspberries in; juicy and fruity smooth leather scent. Just Beautiful.

I got my bottle today and this is not at the same level as Tuscan Leather. It is not bad but I cannot understand how so many people have said that it is similar to TL. It is very leathery (sweet leather) and smokey but not like TL. I think the dry down is somewhat like TL.
Scent: 8/10 (because it is not genuine)
    Longevity: 8/10
    Projection: 10/10

Man…so i love TL a lot but its just 2 expensive for my wallet – so I google and stuff and i find a bunch of different clones of TL, and i come across 2 that sold me: La Yuaquam(think its spelled like that) and Golden Boy. But my luck when i find a 15 ml travel spray of Golden Boy for 20 euros. I mean, i got this today and lol its frickin TL man with 10 per cent more sweetness; it still has depth, a little more safron and you dont exactly feel a rasperry note but there are other spices and fruits makin their statement, so your nose feels like its smellin a more versatile and casual version of TL. Im really happy, i though it was going to be nothing close to it but if someone would semll your sillage they woud think youre wearing TL. Cheers

This is magical stuff! Sparkling leather is how I’d describe it. Claims of a “chlorine note” are pure bullshit! This a remarkably good scent with great performance, and will always be in my top 5, no matter what!
I’ve tried all of the usual suspects in this genre, La Yuquawam included. Cuoio by Pal Zileri is really great, but Golden Boy has better longevity and a shine to it that’s difficult to pin down.
I really love it, and prefer it to TL, but consider this a niche perfume in its own right.
I bought a full bottle straight from the Dueto website. I first bought their “Discovery pack” – samples of their 6 scents for 10 Euros. They came to me in the UK from France in less than a week- 4 days, I think, presented in a net bag. When you buy a full bottle, they refund the €10 within 24 hours via PayPal, so this is the best deal I could find. I really can’t wait to get my hands on it 🙂 Just to mention that the only other scent that I liked in the bag was Uber, which is probably going to be my next purchase, and my wife realy liked the Lady Cool. When you buy a full bottle, you also get another bag of samples. People are selling these samples on EBay for £8 each, cheeky, greedy bastards! Dueto have great customer service, great communication by email, and two scents that I absolutely love! So, I really recommend that people at least try the sample pack, or go straight for Golden Boy!

This got me. I tried this on by accident and glad I did. It is leathery and seems kinda ‘oudy’. I swore I smelt this before and once reminded, I was relieved – this reminds me of the leathery fragrance samples I had been given from Aqui Di Parma and reminded me of Tuscan Leather. I remember I couldnt take the extreme strength from ADP Leather but somehow I was able to manage this and not be put out. It is a youthful leather fragrance, playful (but not immature) and (imo) a more accurate representation of leather…slightly synthetic, I think the violet and saffron give it a unique/exotic edge.. but it isnt cloying in any way. The dry down is amazing too – somehow has a soft sweetness. The scent also has great lasting power and projects respectably as well. Finally, this scent is versatile – it can be used as a signature scent. The office and/or club are great options because of its strength, unique allure and exclusivity. Overall, I give this frag 2 thumbs up and I plan on keeping this for a while as I continue on my scentual journey to finding my top 5. This is a contender.
IF you are debating whether or not you like leathery scents or if you know you do and want to try something with a a playful/alluring edge, try this one. I also recommend checking out Davidoff’s ‘Leather Blend’ as that was the other close runner up.
I still like this one a few years later – this is slightly sweeter and creamier compared to Tuscan Leather. As if the folks from Paco Rabanne who made 1 Million decided to make an iteration of Tuscan Leather. I enjoy this

    Oh my goooooooooodnessssss!
I am going to hype this up more than it is.
Leather. Leather. Leather. The saffron gives it a creamy leather sweet smell on top of what is already so sexy masculine leather.
Put it this way, I don’t even like Tuscan leather. As a ex narcotic agent, I have come across many different smells in the field, cocaine has a very distinct smell and tom ford Tuscan leather smells nothing different than cocaine. Sorry, but it does and I can’t stand that smell. Especially now that I work in a office environment primarily
Golden boy has a new leather jacket smell, not too sweet like Carolina Herrera CH for men either, just perfect!
This you must try. I got it straight from Dueto parfums And they were nice enough to send me all their offerings in a sample bag, I love citiver but none of them are as good as this offering. Perfect for winter. Nice and cozy. Mmmmmhhhmmmm
    9.75/10 overall
Still looking for my 10/10 (hope it happens)

  17. :

    4 out of 5

It has a plastic / petrol vibe in the opening…..
The dry down is sweet, smooth , warm and airy..
{I also get bubblegum vibe in this)
Golden Boy is complex with a nice depth.
    Very sexy fragrance!
    10/10 longevity
    8/10 projection
    10/10 scent

  18. :

    4 out of 5

No raspberry. The best part of Tuscan Leather is the raspberry.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

    I will keep this simple.
Golden boy is to a guy in his early twenties with fashion clothes, what tuscan leather is to a guy in his late thirties with a suit.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

First of all I’d like to make a remark about the “catchy” text in the fragrance’s description.
“Its unique formula contains some of the most exotic spices on earth; saffron, leather, cedarwood, suede, musk and vanilla incenses lift you to heaven.”
Well, unless my English fail me, then could someone please explain this to me? With the possible exception of saffron, which in any case is only one and not “some”, which are the other “some of the most exotic spices on earth”?
Now, unless the sample I was given was wrongly labeled, I can’t help but wonder if the way that leather smells has changed so dramatically since the ’70s-’80s. I’ve read a lot of reviews, and 90% of them described Golden Boy as a fragrance where leather notes shine. But it gets even stranger, as a good deal of this 90% uses the words “creamy leather”, and this is something I just don’t get, since I never thought that these two words could be put together to describe a fragrance. For me, leather can be either oily, pungent, or dominating, but it can’t be creamy, cute, or yummy, unless you have a bowl of custard spilled over your leather jacket. Which is not a bad thing per se, but it’s an accident by all means, thus not an expected or established way to describe something as odd as “creamy leather”.
Now, if we’re to talk leather, Trussardi Uomo, Jacomo de Jacomo and Knize Ten smell like leather to me. Golden Boy does not. To my nose, Golden Boy is Dirty English after taking a good bath to remove all the dirt, and thus be transformed from a lousy dirty bastard to a cuddling golden darling. Or like Burberry’s Brit Rhythm, with it’s tempo pumped up a couple of hundreds BPM. Rausch by J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin could also be the case, given that it had left its leather coat back home in Berlin.
So, unless there’s something very wrong going on with my sample, Golden Boy is a quite pleasant, although kinda generic, scent, but it’s definitely not leather. Cause if it had come face to face with any of the real leather-clad bad boys (and girls) of past decades, chances are that it would be its own hide decorating their walls. And that would be the closest to real leather it would ever come…

I will start out with saying that I adore Tuscan Leather and had such high hopes for Golden Boy after reading how similar they are. When a perfume friend emailed that she was sending me a bottle of GB,I was so excited! But I have to say, I don’t know WHY in HEAVEN anyone would add that ruinous, eye watering, chlorine note to anything a human is supposed to put on their skin!! The scent starts out so beautiful, for about 1/2 of 1/2 second, then that sharp note stabs me right in the eye! I couldn’t scrub fast enough and had to actually use witch hazel to finally get it all off. I’ve tried twice to love it now with the same results both times. That lovely, sweet, creamy leather so reminiscent of the Tom Ford, is there but is overpowered by THAT NOTE. Can someone please tell me what it is and help educate me on it, if possible? Is my bottle spoiled? What am I missing here?

UPDATE: In addition to the below, i noticed that Golden Boy (although a tad sweeter) shares a similar vibe with my orginal 1989 bottle of Dior Fahrenheit, must be the violet. Side by side they share a common thread.
Fantastic, clean leather scent. A saffron, violet leaf, lavender bomb. Smells like removing a suede jacket.
This is a VERY high quality edp that shares some elements with Tom Ford Tuscan leather. I have worn them together. Where Tuscan Leather has a smokey/raspberry vibe, Golden Boy is creamy with vanilla in the dry down. Straight out of the bottle Golden Boy is very powerful, but it settles nicely and lasts for over 24 hours on clothes and 10+ on my skin.
This is some of the highest quality juce I have ever purchased for the money. It is more versatile than TF Tuscan Leather, but they can be worn together.
If you love a clean leather scent Golden Boy will be the best $120 you will ever spend.

I absolutely live this fragrance. Smells more like Montale Aoud Leather than a Tom Ford product. However I do enjoy it more than both of those. You can get it in the US for around $120 but it is hard to find. The opening is overpowering but about 30 minutes later you get a great vanilla/leather combo which smells excellent. Great for clubbing or a night out in the cooler weather. This will stand out and people will notice you. Lasts 10+ on me and projects like a beast.
    My rating is a 8.5/10

A sweet incensed leather and a great budget friendly alternative over Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford and Oro 1920 by Bois 1920. This one is less dense than both though. Thumbs up!

A must have if you like leather fragrances! Amazing scent! Longevity and sillage are incredible.

  28. :

WOW this smells almost exactly like Cavalli Oud at the opening! (I have a FB, am quite familiar w/ it). Definitely would’ve thought there was oud in this. Must be the saffron, cedar, leather, and incense I’m getting most in heavy doses lending a sort of hot, almost medicinal smell to it. Very masculine but smolderingly sexy on the right woman, I’d like to think 😉
Can’t get over how similar these 2 are! Also there’s something almost zingy to it, like raspberry or something similarly tart. Not sure what that is but I do notice Cavalli Oud has a light mandarin twist and the Tuscan Leather has raspberry… this has something of that type too to my nose.
Like I said, definitely more masculine but a woman with the desire and attitude to can pull it off. Heavy, dark, smoky and a tad medicinal, certainly not lacking in depth or strength!

  29. :

    3 out of 5

Sweet rubbery leather. I love the warm complexity of this, it reminds me of throwing plastic into the bonfire when you’re a kid; your parents tell you not to because it is bad for the air but it’s just too much fun to resist when you’re eight years old. This scent is the same; for some it garners a picture of a womanizing rich boy but the parfum is too delightful to pass up. The burning rubber smell with the sweetness of youth, all centered around a leather-jacket-clad father.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

This was the fragrance that made me realize once and for all that I am not a leather person. It would smell much better on a guy! I do get some of the violet leaf, suede, and incense in the drydown, and it’s definitely not the worst thing I’ve ever smelled, but the overwhelming majority of the fragrance is a brand new black leather sofa. This strikes me as a nighttime scent, one that would smell at home on a 20-something guy who goes out clubbing a lot. It smells kind of like a young man who’s an heir to a large fortune and drives around in his brand new Lamborghini with scantily clad 18-year-olds regularly. I guess that’s my way of saying it smells pleasant enough and expensive, but that it doesn’t necessarily work on female skin.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Opening is smooth. I get leather and saffron well-blended together with a hint of sweetness from vanilla. The leather in this is genuine car leather seat. It’s unlike the leather in Lonestar Memories by Tauer Perfumes, which smells like horse saddle. Despite being a big fan of Tauer Pefumes, I actually prefer how leather is done in Golden Boy. However, I feel it doesn’t project far off from my skin. Maybe because it’s a small sample vial I use. Longevity is okay.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Gorgeous creamy leather, well done, quality stuff, affordable price. High marks from me 🙂

  36. :

    3 out of 5

Beautiful, soft leather with subtle incense and dry cedar, rounded nicely with a hint of vanilla. The composition is truly very good, and it is similar to TFTL minus the raspberry accord-great! The actual execution however, leaves me a bit flat. As it develops, GB gets a bit synthetic and loses much of the richness present during the opening. Longevity is very good; lasts all day, several on clothing, but I find it surprisingly subtle. An hour or so after even heavy application it becomes a skin scent on me.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

This is a straight in-ur-face leather scent. Can’t comment on the Tuscan L. comparison though because I’ve never sampled Tuscan L. But if the majority here are saying that this is comparable if not better than the other mentioned then there you go. I would say for me that this is strictly a cold weather fragrance because I’ve tried it a couple times maybe this spring or summer and it didn’t go well.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

One of my top 5 fragrances. There’s nothing to say that hasn’t been said already, but it’s such a classy creamy leather smell with good projection and great longevity. Good for fall and winter alike.

  39. :

Beautiful scent. The suede, Saffron and the leather notes here realy give you opulence feeling. Its true that is cheeper than TL by Tom Ford. But for Leather scent fans out there you will get more out of this amazing juic than TL which I personaly like too. But GB makes me feel good in fall/winter:) Longevity and projection work decent on me.
    Really gorgeouse leather juic.

This is a amazing, strong, creamy leather fragrance. Opens strong whit a sharp saffron then the leather takes place with a nice mix of suede and vanilla in the background. Feels like a leather jacket or a new car with leather seats. Interesting, refined, masculine, semi-sweet, strong but at the same time feels smooth and truly feels expensive.
This is not a boys fragrance this is a modern mature fragrance, more like Golden Man.
Performance is crazy!!! Sillage is strong, 3 sprays and you are ready to project like a true gentleman. Longevity on my skin was like 12 hrs or more. This is a masterpiece regardless of the big similarity with TF Tuscan Leather. I will own a bottle of Golden Boy for sure. Suitable for colder months.

My skin maximizes the incense in Golden Boy. I love incense so this is a very good thing.
Golden Boy is leathery, creamy, powdery, a bit sweet, smoky and slightly ozonic. Sounds strange, but works extremely well.
It’s slightly reminiscent of Mauboussin M Generation with it’s smoke factor, but less in your face. I think because of the vanilla and sweet lavender. Also the violet leaf freshens it up a bit.
This is an absolutely wonderful leather fragrance. Unisex, in my opinion, if you are a woman who enjoys leather & incense (like I do).

  47. :

    3 out of 5

Velvety smooth creamy leather. A masterpiece modern leather based fragrance. The blend is seamless and refined. This is masculine without being rough or dirty. There is a juicy vibe that runs throughout this as well, and it keeps it from getting too dry or coarse. Kind of a translucent berry that seems to saturate the leather. Nice.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

If you like Tuscan Leather but find it too expensive for a 1.7 ounce then I would check out Golden Boy. Some say its not as intense as TL but its very close to being as intense. Scent is identical though it doesn’t perform like TL but isn’t a slouch. Big plus…3.4 ounce for 100$ compared to TL 1.7 ounces for what 185$ or more? It’s worth it, and for 10$ or requestinging a sample you can get Golden boy, Oud City, Cool lady and Cool City and they are all good.

A beautiful sweet suede-leather combination. I was very amazed because the ressemblance with tuscan leather is there, and toned-down. Grab a sample quicly because this one will be the next bomb for winter 🙂

On first blast, I instantly notice the suede and leather notes. The opening note is very powerful and intense, reminds me of Keiko Mecheri’s A Fleur de Peau’s opening note – an opening note that is a bit rabid, coarse and masculine with leather. After a few minutes, the saffron and violet leaf become cognizable. I notice the leather, suede, and incense mix all throughout this fragrance.
I really don’t get many of the other middle notes than the leather, although I fear this is due to my inexperience rather than any problem with the fragrance.
After a few hours, the vanilla comes creeping through in the base notes. A pleasing touch for the conclusion of GB.
I really enjoyed this sample, yet I cannot find any online retailers that sell this, so I am unaware of what the price would be for a full bottle.

Woodsy & herbaceous (thyme) top notes mingle with tobacco – to my nose, anyway. My husband is wearing the sample we were sent and these are the notes I can detect right off the bat although tobacco is not listed. Leathery and infinitely sexy and warm, yes, with definite vanilla too. This is a winner in my books, along with the other Dueto samples I was gifted.
I will be trying this one out tomorrow (currently wearing Lady Cool, which is unreservedly my new favourite frag). On my hubby, I imagine he is taking a walk through deepest forest (after rain) to his cabin where he’ll drink a fine single malt and smoke a pipe in front of a roaring fire. All of the scents that image invokes portray this scent to me. More winter than summer, unless it’s a bonfire on a beach kind of night….

What we have here is an excellent leather fragrance. Soft smooth and slightly creamy. Very very reminiscent of tuscan leather by tom ford. Very powerful fragrance and the longevity is outstanding. This one gives tuscan leather a run for the money. Very smooth leather mixed with saffron sitting on a gentle creamy vanilla.
