Description

The new fragrance from Bvlgari, Goldea, is inspired by gold and light. The name means “Gold Godess” (eng. gold + lat. dea). Goldea, which comes out in October 2015, represents the beginning of a new collection, more than 10 years after the last collection Omnia was launched.

The composition is oriental – floral, bold heavy with musk, developed by Alberto Morillas. It begins with notes of crystal musk, orange blossom, raspberry and bergamot. The heart includes golden musk, ylang-ylang and jasmine. The base features accords of velvety musk, amber, patchouli and Egyptian papyrus.

The face of advertisements shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott is model Isabeli Fontana. The fragrance is available in a round gold flacon as 25, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

i just love the goldea line…………the line is soft & elegant………no powerhouse or perfume bombs in this line lol
the goldea scent is all about the musk lol………which i love…..i am a musk fan so it was a draw for me – but its done in a soft & elegant way………..i also get the amber in the dry down which is beautiful & a little jasmine floating around there too
it is a close to the skin scent so heads up if ur looking for something that screams can u smell me well this may not be ur choice lol – its more of a sophisticated soft elegant come close to me scent 🙂
    nice for anytime use 🙂

Basically a musk bomb – which suits me just fine – with a touch of various flowers and fruits. Ylang-ylang is it? the main one … right! so now I’ll be better-able to identify it. Yes – that aroma is familiar from other places.
I wouldn’t say this has a great deal of distinction – it’s very much a safe one. But if you’re after putting-on a perfume that meets the specification I cited at the top, then this one does deliver admirably.
It’s just suddenly come to me: Elie Saab’s Le Parfum Intense. That’s what it reminds me of.
I think this is evolving a bit now also – acquiring a bit more distinction (which might seem contrary to having just cited one that it’s like!). It’s not a narcotic as the Elie Saab I mentioned.
Don’t take my wearing declaration too literally, BTW – it tends to lag behind a bit.

This perfume is a goddess perfume. First sniff is wonderful it is sensual sexy and you can picture a beautiful woman wearing it. It smells better than Chanel no 5 to me, you can smell the floral note in it. It lingers on your skin for a long time and as it dries down it surprises you with a wonderful smell. It is so distinguished, different from other perfumes. I LOVE the smell of it. It makes me sleep better cause it smells so wonderful. Glad I bought it. The bottle is so gorgeous, beautiful that no picture can describe it. LOVE IT!!!!

This is the first designer perfume I’ve bought and it was a blind buy picked out by a gentleman selling fragrances. He based his choice on my age and daily activities. I’ll admit I didn’t like the fragrance at first, not because it didn’t smell good, but because I felt it didn’t quite fit my personality. However, it’s about 3 weeks later, and I’m totally in love with this scent. I say you give it time, time for your body and to get accustomed to the fragrance . For me, it is a very sophisticated and mature fragrance that projects the confident woman I’m growing to be. It’s a bit strong at first, but after about an hour it settles down very lovingly all over your body and I can’t help but sniff my wrists every now and then . I don’t know about the silage, but I know I can smell it off of myself in the evening even in hot weather. Also, I’ve had the chance to wear Olympea before, by Paco Rabanne and I’d say the two are quite different… In Olympea, I can certainly smell vanilla… Goldea is a combination of something sharp that I can’t tell and the dry down is beautiful.
Looking forward to my next fragrance!

Everything about this perfume is soft, smooth, elegant, beautiful and sophisticated. I got a little bit of all the notes in a nicely blended composition. Sometimes, I could not even tell them apart from the opening. Gorgeous and well made gold bottle with an unique design.

I tested Goldea yesterday, and it was absolutely fantastic!
It sticked to my skin like glue and stayed on to the next day, and I was wondering what ever smelled so good at my shirt 😀
I’m not good at sorting out the different ingridients, but I noticed the amber, musk, ylang-ylang and raspberry.
Also I like the name and color of it, it reminds me of my two late Golden retrievers,
so Goldea will fit perfectly in my wardrobe 😀

I’m not very fond of the opening of this perfume. Very sweet raspberry and caramel. Something about it just doesn’t agree with me. After that fades though, I really like the ylang ylang and amber combination. It’s warm, sunny, and golden. The name of this fragrance is very fitting.

A beautiful orange blossom/ylang ylang perfume, but it doesent last at all 🙁 very weak:(

  9. :

This is a spicy musky ylang ylang fragrance. I don’t tend to love Bvlgari I always seem to like or not like them. This one is nicer than many of the Bvlgari’s. It is a like from me. Not enough for a love.

  10. :

I tried really hard to understand and like Goldea, but I guess it’s just not for me. Not that I dislike it, it smells nice, but it’s so fleeting, the notes are a somehow hard to grasp, even with a full wearing of several sprays instead of just a test spritz on the arm.
In the opening I get ylang ylang and citrus notes, it’s warm and fresh and quite strong. But then it fades to a lighter musk and raspberry scent with woody and ambery aspects. When it’s on the skin for a while, I get a bit of patchouli and papyrus, too. I enjoy the notes, but here’s the problem:
When I only spray a little bit, I have to stick my nose to my skin to even smell them after a short time. When I spray more, it can become too sweet and very raspberry-dominant on my skin.
All in all, I think Goldea has potential, but is just too thin to live up to it. I would have expected more from a floriental in a golden bottle. On the other hand, most recent Bvlgari scents are a bit like that – maybe I’m anosmic to something in them?!

Historically there has been something about the packaging and branding of Bvlgari offerings that puts me off. But I recently tried a sample of Goldea and was pleasantly surprised.
It’s quite a full on, sweet ylang and patchouli fragrance initially. I love ylang ylang so it was nice enough, but I felt like I’d sniffed this before.
The drydown, though! Totally worth the wait. Soft, buttery yellow flowers and smooth amber. Very nicely done and full bottle worthy for Spring and early summer nights, I think.

Not a Bvlgari woman here. I was randomly trying out perfumes at the store and, the bottle attracted me, I guess. I gave it a shot and initially I did not have much of an opinion about it. But when it reached base note, it reminded me of some familiar scent of my childhood. And I was hooked.
It’s quite feminine to me. Yes, it is sweet, yet it doesn’t give me headache. Must be the patchouli – anything with it is a winner with me.. haha
    Bought it.

Oh Yes. I am impressed. To me this is confident, sensual, golden and smiling. Yes to the ylang ylang and the patchouli, musk and papyrus. I will be purchasing.

  14. :

    3 out of 5

Overly sweet and loud for no reason. Nothing unique or different. It’s been done before so many times that this one just ended up disappointing me..

  15. :

    5 out of 5

Goldea by Bvlgari is a smooth, buttery and musky floral on my skin. It’s definitely one of the nicer Bvlgari releases in quite some time, and a fragrance I would happily own a bottle of.
The bottle is a pretty, sunny-yellow colour and the scent itself evokes a sense of warmth and elegance. Goldea could be worn all year round, however I prefer it most during the mid-seasons when the weather is neither too hot nor too cold.
Notes of ylang ylang, jasmine and orange blossom dance delicately on the skin, slightly creamy and soapy in texture. The heart features warm accords of amber, patchouli and papyrus, and the base is a smooth, dusty white musk.
My only gripe with this fragrance is with its lack-lustre longevity. Goldea failed to last more than three hours on my skin which was incredibly disappointing for a rather expensive EDP. I also feel that I would easily tire of this fragrance. As pretty as it is, it’s unfortunately not very distinctive.
I wish this fragrance existed in an intense version, with a stronger focus on the patchouli and papyrus blend and a touch more sweetness with the floral accords.

Beautiful. Wish I had a full bottle instead of a tiny sample.

    Goldea: genius in simple things
I had a sample of this fragrance and I truly enjoyed it (although not enough to purchase a whole bottle – I have other favorites).
What I appreciate the most about Goldea is its well-blended nature. Like Chanel №5, Goldea is not willing to reveal its composition and individual ingredients. Everything is tied so close together that it becomes just a holistic scent. To me, it is not overpowering or too sweet, it is refined and elegant rather than carnal and sexy. Such type of fragrances compliment you, not define you.
Longevity is average and sillage is very beautiful.

After trying many scents, I bought this for my wife. She is not really in to fragrances, but I wanted her to have one. She is a beautiful, sensible, strong woman who doesn’t fuss too much with fashion or accessories. I was looking for a scent that would underscore her simple elegance and unadorned beauty. I really liked Goldea and Coco Madamoiselle, but ultimately chose this. It smells great- not too loud, sweet but not candy, refined and classy. I understand people have different preferences when it comes to perfume, but it seems the fragrantica community is quite harsh on this one. I’m surprised it’s not more well-received. My wife and I love it! Good work Bvlgari.

I don’t care for this fragrance. It has an unpleasant carmel smell and fake vanilla…even a little like butterscotch and mothballs. I am not a fan of smelling like candy and prefer green, fresh, flower type fragrances. Sorry Bulgari, but you’ll have to survive without me with this one!

  20. :

    5 out of 5

This is a light perfume. It is sweet but not heavy or syrupy. It reminds me of what a hummingbird might drink. Goldea does smell like light and sun and sweetness.
It is very light and does not have much sillage. To me, it smells like Flowerbomb without the heaviness.

So here’s the thing.. I bought this so my wedding day. After hours of searching.. I decided to bought this. It was somewhat smells very sweet feminine caramely ( even though not a note )But now… I’m in a love hate relationship with this,,, I have to say the longevity is great. i wore this last day and even after a good shower. I can still smell the woodsy notes in me today…Although… only downside is sillage. not that much…Maybe it’s the climate. It’s currently very hot in here + I have a weird skin… Have to try it again for the night time…. overall… 6/10… Really regret buying this so the wedding cause I wanted a strong fragrance.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

OK…at first I thought I had made a bad mistake, so very sweet! Then I sensed the Coco M. vibe, but where that gives me Watermelon this is Pineapple (absolutely not noted!)I then find it develops Caramel…not at all what I expected, but strangely not unappealing. I’ll keep hoping for the Amber & Patchouli, which is what attracted me (blind buy)but in the mean time I’ll try to love what I have.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Goldea is a ‘ flowerchouli’: it brings to mind those modern patchouli centric compositions, but without any fruity notes; these are here substituted with lush florals. I can smell some ylang and jasmine (a tad synthetic truth be told) with some (also perfumey) raspberry on a base of patchouli a-la mode.
I can’t understand the dislikes, as it resembles in a way so many other beloved perfumes like Ricci Ricci, Mon Paris, Si etc. Granted, it doesn’t smell exactly like any of the above but the structure is quite similar. I find it nice, and that bottle!

  24. :

    5 out of 5

I agree with Mimissekat, there is something coconutty to it – very soft and beautiful! It smells like a most sophisticated, top-shelf version of Far Away Exotic!
If amber can be “fresh” – then here it is!
If ylang can be not loud or screechy and headache inducing – then again – here it is!
It’s an amazing white floral/tropical but refrained and elegant scent, I’d love to have it for summer!

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I totally agree with @COSMICSCENTS it’s like Vera Wangs Princess! But in a more sophisticated better quality kind of way. Not to take away from Princess as truth be told it’s one of my favs but this is a little smoother and a little less sugary. I love it. It’s a beautiful easy to wear fragrance and the bottle is to die for.

  26. :

Bvlgari perfumes never project on me and usually light, close to the skin, and not long lasting. Goldea suprised me with the beautiful intense amber and ylang ylang. It’s warm and captivating. I almost loved it and BOOM it hit me, This smells exactly like Bath And Body Works Sensual Amber. It’s one of my most used body sprays and one of the best from BBW line. Within 15 minutes , what i thought was a powerhouse from Bvlgari, faded, leaving a faint whisper of amber on my skin:(

Every house of perfume should have a nickname or reputation.
    A ´KNOWN TO BE FOR´ thing……
Bvlgari is known for the ´wouldnt mind receiving it as a gift but would never buy it myself´.
    Why?
Not enough liquid ,not enough lasting power.
But always sooooo damn good and pleasant.
    BVLGARI!!!!!!!!! :/

ambery warm vanilla scent is good , very wearable and harmless, sadly it is also very forgettable…….. so i mean is nice if someone gave me a bottle as a present i would be more than happy to wear it, i just wouldn’t buy it myself.
the color fits the juice very sunny ambery warm

  29. :

I just figured out that it smells very similar to Vera Wang Princess, a nice foody vanilla scent.

  30. :

I think I am getting over my love of Bvlgari perfumes. They seem to be falling into the trend that many other fragrance manufacturers seem to be lately – in that they are creating fragrances anymore that are not unique. ‘Cookie cutter’ perfumes, comes to mind. Nothing unique or different or special.
This is a nice enough fragrance…I like this fragrance well enough, just not wowed by it. For me this is a great holiday type of scent, great for cooler/cold weather. The reviewer who said this is warm and sweet, feminine and inviting, described this very well. I do think though that there is something in this could be overpowering for those with allergies or sensitive noses. The ylang ylang? Not sure.
Bottom line: If you’ve got a large fragrance collection, this one would probably be a yawn to you.

  31. :

I purchased this upon first scent. It is too strong. It reminds me of a woman who is trying too hard to be interesting and relevant..
I gave it away as a present..

I reviewed this as soon as I received it but I lost it without being able to full wear it even a single time!I was very sad because it was a gift from my best friend and also I felt I need to sniff it one more time,it was like an unfinished business
Finally I found it somewhere in home in strangest way possible.it was right in front of my eyes the whole time but it seemed to be invisible for a while.I took my tiny 15 mil bottle and sprayed it at once.it was a “meh” for me first time I tried it but now I find it gorgeous!it’s very elegant, ladylike and pretty.musky florals are wrapped in a honey-like golden amber base and there’s smallest hint of patchouli to deepen it.I still find it familiar to some other perfumes, but not being a dupe or copy by any means.it’s a very balanced scent and there’s nothing too much here
Now I know that whenever one of my friends is looking for a very versatile feminine scent.something wearable for office, nights out, date and almost every where, ladylike and comfortable the same time, feeling clean, sweet, elegant and charming the same time, something not too soft or too heavy,I’ll recommend bvlgari goldea

I fell in love with this scent after sampling it on vacation a few months ago. I ordered it as soon as I got home. This is as others have said a very pretty amber with patchouli, fruit, and musk. I can smell the papyrus in the middle and it smells slightly medicinal for a short amount of time. It smells very warm and lives up to it’s name. It definitely gets better the longer it is on the skin!
Now, the major difference to me compared to others who have reviewed this is that on me this is A BOMB! I mean it is the STRONGEST perfume I have in my collection! It projects like crazy and is incredible long lasting. I guess I really got lucky with this one 🙂 I highly recommend this!

  34. :

    3 out of 5

It is a warm and sweet perfume. Very feminine and inviting. I like the amber notes in the perfume and the raspberry. Everything blends in beautifully rounded with no sharp edges. As the perfume sits longer on the skin the scent becomes even more delightful, turning the beginning note of amber, ylang-ylang and raspberry into sweet but woody and even vanilla-like scent with a hint of musk. It is very very sweet and elegant.
However, it is a bit too soft & subtle for me. After spraying it for 30 mins, to be able to sniff the scent I have to put my nose on my skin in order to fully detect it. Recently, I prefer stronger longevity and sillage perfumes. If it can be just a bit stronger with larger sillage, it may actually be one of my favorite perfume.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Warm, inviting, close to skin and honey-like. This fragrance is rounded and definitely a comfort scent. It is not elaborate however the light floral arrangement keeps this from being monotonally sweet. Never sharp.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

smells generic, its pleasant dont get me wrong, but I dont think it stands out anyhow, at least on my skin, sweetish, warmish, subtle, sits close to skin, i d say good for office

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Very synthetic sugary smell (kids would love), literally hurts my nose, or some say would give them headache. Just another sugary water with pretty bottle.
Yes, I believe the ones love La Vie Est Belle and Si would love this one as well. Since I hate both above, so this is a giant NO for me.
Despite how much I hate this ‘strongly sweeten trend’, I’m also glad it has helped me saved tones of cash so far! Haven’t purchased any perfume that came out after 2012.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

    Oh, wow, Goldea is beautiful!
I did not want to give this a chance because Bvlgari has not put out anything compelling in a long time, and the bottle and name of this fragrance are cheesy.
I saw that it won one of the Allure Best of Beauty awards this year, so decided to give it a sniff. The spray on the blotter was not impressive – just generic sweet floral – nor was the initial blast. All I got was bergamot and ylang ylang – nothing extraordinary.
However, the SA convinced me to spray it on my arm and walk around with it, and now I am sold!
The drydown is musky with a bit of floral sweetness, and I can’t stop smelling my arm. Goldea is a perfectly blended fragrance, and very well-rounded. Feminine, sophisticated, and elegant – great for an office setting or for a cocktail party.
There is something reminiscent of the original Bvlgari EDP pour femme, but Goldea is the upgraded version.
Sillage is arm’s length, and longevity is at least 5 hours. Will definitely be going tomorrow to get a full bottle!

  39. :

    4 out of 5

I got a 0.5 oz bottle of Bvlgari goldea as a gift from my lovely friend
Initial blast reminded me lady million, not that they smell the same, just the Jasmine, amber concoction with a hint of raspberry is common between them
for me,raspberry fades in seconds and I can get a Jasmine-ylang ylang combo in a warm, lush musky, ambery, woodsy base..thanks god I can’t detect any patchouli here, just a hint of deep woody notes but the most dominant on my skin is a musky floral(Jasmine-ylangylang)
There is a clean and soapy vibe here, not too much and there’s also something feminine, elegant and chic
This is definitely a mature scent, not girly..and is suitable for +30 years..it’s also an autumn scent for me,it’s warm for sure but is also soft and not sweet enough for a cold winter
This is not my type since I’m a gourmand/oriental lover and jasmine/ylangylang aren’t my favorite florals,so I don’t think that I’m gonna need a bigger bottle, but I would save my pretty little 15mil bottle for formal events when I want to seem classy, womanly, clean and charming the same time
Staying power is more than moderate on my skin
    Sillage is moderate
    ❤❤❤

    This is beautiful
At first thought this may be abit too light, but I’ve been getting whiffs of it through out the day.
It’s hard to differentiate the notes in this, it just smells very warm and sexy.
And as someone mentioned it is like an in between of coco madmoiselle and olympea.

  41. :

Totally agree with comments below mine, especially with coreyflame: for a confident woman who doesn’t need to impress more.
It smells heavenly, indeed. Goldea had a massive “wow-effect” on me. Amber makes it warm but not heavy, the ylang-ylang makes it sharp in a pleasant way and the musk and patchouli highlight the oriental touch of it. Beautifully designed and combined notes. I would have however imagined a different bottle in shape for such a perfume. A must have purchase.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I like it. Kind of oriental-fresh but warm. I liked it more than f. ex. Omnia Indian Garnet, which I found harder to wear. There’s an orange blossom with musk the heaviest on me and the fragrance lasts well on me for about 6 hours. Such a positive, uplifting perfume. For more mature woman, probably not for a teenager. It’s sweet, but not TOO sweet and it smells honey-like in the beginning. Then it changes and becomes less sweet. I like it a lot. 9/10 points!

  43. :

    3 out of 5

Quite a complex and bold fragrance with a tolerable sweetness. Definitely for a confident woman who doesn’t feel the need to impress any longer. She’s powerful and seductive.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

I’ve read a lot of negatives reviews about this, I respect them and understand in a way but I don’t agree with them. This is a warm scent, sweet and uncomplicated, like the rules of the world don’t apply to you and you can just live in your own bubble, which is a luxurious thing sometimes. I’m probably the only one not impressed with the bottle because I don’t like how rich it is, but the perfume itself is so lovely the design grew on me. This is the kind of perfume that makes you feel good and cozy, it’s the kind of perfume someone that doesn’t care to impress anyone would wear.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

    I liked it. Liked it.
I sprayed myself down at the mall with it and low and behold…on hour later. Nothing. For 150 bucks for a 3.4 I’ll pass. This is a cheap body spray when it comes to the longevity.

  46. :

If Holden Caulfield was a perfume aficionado and had to choose a descriptive scent for his essay, Goldea would be his very last choice. Now I’m going to use one of his favorite words to describe this “fragrance”. P h o n y. Really, a bottle is almost beautiful and looks like a perfume bottle, but when I spray Goldea on my skin I get the feeling as if I sprinkled baby powder (not a perfume!) on me, artificially sweet and dusty. This is a scent without any development stages. Oh and there is also musk, mind you not of good quality. In the era of soulless fragrances, Goldea still managed to surprise me. I would expect this kind of finale from Avon perfumes, but from Bvlgari? A bummer.
PS My apologies, dear Holden, but this is the right way of applying the term “phony” to things.
PPS I hate writing bad reviews, but I couldn’t get this one out of my head, sorry.

My 4-year-old said: ‘Mommy, I like that perfume, it smells like candy’. I had high hopes for the the lime, raspberry combo. Unfortunately, it’s more of an obvious ylang-ylang patchouli number. too warm and sticky for me.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Warm sweet and musky it is a lovely fragrance a bit misu.derstood I think to be fair sillage and longevity ar e poor if itwas not for that I would have bought a bottle

  49. :

I haven’t smelled this yet. But I would like to commend Alberto Morillas for coming up with something new, instead of sloshing a flanker on us. I’d buy a bottle only to encourage that.

sweet, musky, floral fragrance. much closer to lady Million and Versace Eros Femme. i was expecting more and unfortunately it doesn’t work. i see this fragrance is for young, sweet and girly people. suitable for daily fragrance.

  52. :

Too bad it wears off very quickly (few sprays lasted around half an hour on me) because this sweet scent is just wonderful!

  53. :

    4 out of 5

I’m not impressed with this, it is not bad but a little boring. I don’t know wether this is just my skin- but I get very weak sillage, which is good when you want to wear it formal occasions or in the office, it’s a nice enough sweet floral.
When I wear this though it makes me crave for Samsara edt, which I think is a more beautiful ylang ylang sandalwood combination, not as shy as this one.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

it’s sweet with white floral, yellow floral..
i tried Goldea and it is very different and very powerful juice.warm sweet soft floral but isn’t sharp perfume. The flowers in the composition are Lovely!
The longevity and sillage isn’t good.(moderate).
It is a musky scent for cold weather(fall/winter).

Floral, woody, gourmand, sparkling. Goldea is somewhere between Coco Mademoiselle and Olympea…

  57. :

To me Goldea is a sweeter version of Miss Dior Cherie, not my cup of tea either of them.Looks beautiful though.

  58. :

    4 out of 5

I was not expecting much from Goldea, i do not know why, but this one is a fat like for me.
It is a sweet, strong floral, and yes, it is golden. It is Lady Million´s older and more elegant sister.
About the notes: i get mostly ylang-ylang and amber, but i can also detect the jasmine and the raspberry. Thank god, the patchouli is very shy on this one ( i really don´t like it) and i don´t smell much bergamot.
The bottle is really pretty but in live it is a bit too much.
    Longevity and sillage are ok.
    Note:9/10

Unfortunately this one is a miss for me. It’s too sweet in a way I cannot tolerate. It has a sticky quality on me. And although it does tone down over time it’s just not for me. Amber, sticky jasmine topped of by patchouli & raspberry cream. Sad face! Stunning bottle though.

A modern gourmand and more wearable version of Tom Ford Black Orchid. We asked for fragrance like that for a long time – Black Orchid is too mature for some of ladies. On other hand, Goldea is wearable but sophisticated with that specific BO accord surrounded by fruitchouli accord. A pure beauty!

It’s a very sweet fragrance, it gives me a youthful sensation, somehow at first reminds me Prada Candy. I would wear it mostly after 5 pm, not in the morning, it is just to sweet to me

For me Goldea is a warm sweet floral perfume with a LVEB vibe. The flowers in the composition are all so soft, not sharp at all (like ylang-ylang and orange blossomm sometimes are). I love it, except for the fact that sillage isn’t that strong.

Gloom’s review is spot on. Unfortunately , it mainly smells like L’oréal Elnett hair spray on me. The bottle is so beautiful , one of the best bottles I have seen.

At first I thought I liked this – testing it I smelled sweet flowers, citruses and something else in the afternotes – pleasantly woody. But a couple of days later it had turned into a sickeningly sweet syrup-y scent that was not at all what I smelled initially. So I had to give it away. Doesn’t work on my skin at all.
As for all the comparisons with Olympea and LVEB – not entirely accurate. Yes, Goldea is sweet and heavy-ish, but it is completely based on sweet flowers, whereas Olympea and LVEB have that candy-vanilla note as the main accent.

Quite pleasant scent, with lots of white flowers, ylang-ylang, bergamot and patchouli. However, it is not fresh enough for me. Too sickly sweet. What a shame. I had high hopes for it and now hope is gone.

First, this is a personal opinion, and not a criticism against the people who use and like this fragance.
What the hell is going up with Bulgari perfumes since some time? Are they now becoming as cheap- bling-bling-rappers style as the Paco Rabanne range (another undeniable fact). Why are they discontinuing (like many other designers’brands in our days) beautiful fragances like the original Omnnia, the Green Tea Extrême , the Black Bulgari and others, watering down the classic Bulgari Pour Femme… to release more and more forgetable flankers (but, nonetheless, as expensive as the good classic Bulgaris always have been).
If you thought that Acqua Amara was unworth of the name of Bulgari, wait to try this. Very generic, trendy,
indistinguishable juice, vaguely floral, vaguely sweet. With that hideous salty note, very reminiscent of human sweat, that seems to be the rigueur today in all posh (or wannabee posh) perfumes. Interchangeable with Paco Rabanne’s Olympea, which pretend to be a perfume for a godess, and is just a fragance for the posh, sassy girls who run out of the classrooms to spy in the boys’ lockeroom. Just vulgar and horrible. Although is no surprise that Paco Rabanne is no longer the original, daring, ultra-modern yet practical brand that once was.
The flacon, however, looks better when you have it in your hand.
Not worth of the price tag. Try it very carefuly before buying, and, if this perfume is of your liking, go for it, but perhaps you will find something as good as this which wouldn’t cost the almost 😯 € that they ask for a 90 ml. flacon.

I will start off by saying that I got the smaller 25ml bottle of this and the packaging is a little gem. I’ve always liked the Omnia series fragrances, but what held me back was the design of the bottles – I never really enjoyed the modern shape and the plastic details. This new Goldea however has a very classic and elegant design for both the bigger and smaller bottles.
Now to the fragrance itself. Firstly, I could not believe that vanilla is not listed as one of the notes – I swear I can sense some vanilla in the background. And to me that is nice, because it is a very subtle note which adds that sweetness and saltyness that I mostly enjoy. But what makes this fragrance more enjoyable to me is the balance between the floral and musky notes. It feels very elegant, like a beautiful small but detailed piece of gold jewelry.
Yes, there are many similar ones on the market lately – the sweet/sugary/musky/vanilla perfumes, but Goldea in my opinion has the best balance and none of the notes stand out too much, which is why to me this perfume feels balanced and quite classy.

Very nice perfume. It is sweet but not overly so, elegant and soft. Too bad it has poor sillage
edit: as someone said, it has something that reminds me of coco mad, the sweetness and the patch. CM is fresher, thanks to the orange strong accord. So, if you like CM I think you ‘re going to like Goldea as well.

The pictures do in no way do the bottle justice. The bottle is beautiful. The juice is good, a spicy floral. Truly golden if a scent could have a color. My husband was smitten by the first whiff so this is definately going on my shopping list.

Finally I found it! The initial spray reminds me of Calvin Klein’s Reveal, while the jasmine is reminiscent of Olympea by Paco Rabanne. It’s a modern and elegant perfume, typical for the good reputation of Bvlgari. The only thing that it’s slightly disappointing is that Goldea looks like
