Description

Gentlemen Only Parisian Break, announced as the glow of elegance and freshness, represents an invitation to a summer morning stroll along the river of Seine. The fragrance comes out in the spring of 2016 and is a refreshing, tonic eau de toilette for a gentleman at all times.

The composition is a citrus – aromatic – woody. It opens with tonic accords of Nepal mint and lemon. The aromatic heart of sage extends the freshness of the scent. Haitian vetiver is mixed with ambroxan at the base, creating sensual elegance, distinctive for the Gentlemen Only line.

The bottle of the standard design is decorated with a sketch showing the Seine, near l’Ile de la Cité where the cathedral of Notre Dame is located. The fragrance is available as a 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Very nice bottle but the fragrance is nothing like the Chic flanker, which is my favorite from the Gents only flankers.

In a nutshell… it’s alright. There is literally nothing original about it. It’s a bland generic fresh scent. Nothing memorable. I wore this today actually, and it had left me by about 11am.. and to be honest I don’t even recall what it smells like right now. If someone walked past wearing it, I probably wouldn’t even realise. That’s how memorable and significant Parisian Break is. Probably why they only had it out for a short period before they discon’ed it.

I love this cologne!!!! I can’t say that about any other cologne i have ever purchased. Now this is the standard to which all others will be measured. Nothing else out there smells as good as this does! Its a shame they don’t make it anymore. I already bought two bottles from Dillard’s when i found out this was a limited edition. This is truly an amazing scent! It is very calming and relaxing and peaceful. I think its the middle note of clary sage but I’m not sure. For me when making a purchase its not just how a scent smells but its about how it makes you feel. There is something in this that is slightly euphoric, like sensual a turn on, but in a peaceful way. This is not a bold manly scent and it is not an invigorating scent. It is soft and inviting, like you want to get close to a person. It is quite a turn on to my nose. It’s like i just can’t get enough of it!!! I really liked Givenchy “Play” and still do, but this one is the best. It might not work for very cold weather however. I will stay with Play for winter! Buy this before it runs out!!!

It affects the hormones of the body and increases testosterone levels, which can seriously increase performance and interest in sexual activities.Euphoric: Clary Sage oil can induce a feeling of immense joy, confidence, pleasure and high spirits and fill you with the desire to live your life to the fullest. This is why it is frequently used to cure depression or chronic stress and anxiety.Sedative: Do you need to calm down? Do you want to concentrate? Or do you simply want to relax and have a good night’s sleep? Clary Sage oil can help you with all of these. It reduces inflammations and has an undeniably calming effect. People suffering from chronic stress or anxiety disorders find great comfort in the use of Clary Sage essential oil.

The opening is pretty nice and refreshing–lemon, sage, and very light sweet mint.
After 5 minutes I can smell orris-root, and I don’t know from where do I get that smell!!! That heavy note (orris-root or whatever it is) masks out the nice freshness forever…

Nice perfume reminds me of something intense. It’s smooth flower like. Strong enough but not aggressive

What a fabulous scent!! Quite similar to Davidoff’s Good Life: Green, citrusy, fresh, bitter, sage-mint-vetiver on a polite lemony base! Elegant and sexy!
I’m smitten!! If a guy wore this, i would surely fall for them!!
PS: it stayed more than 12 hours on me!!!

It might be nothing new in recipe, however it is a very fresh, clean, handsome fragrance. I love it. Whether it’s generic or not, spray this on after a shower, over a clean white pressed cotton t-shirt, and you are sure to turn heads.

Remainds me of Fairy soap for washing up 😉

I admit that I love the elegance of the bottle and evocative sketch on it. However, I found this fragrance to be generic in the extreme with its strong (albeit bright and refreshing) grapefruit/mint vibe. Longevity is a bit dubious too at 3-4 hours on my skin at the very most, with poor projection throughout. It also reminds me strongly of one of the Beckham fragrances – ‘The Essence’ I think. My advice is to stick to the Beckham fragrance for the same tonic effect as Parisian Break but at a quarter (or less) of the price.
Overall I can’t recommend this overpriced and ultimately bland fragrance. I still think that the gingery ‘Casual Chic’ is so far the stand-out fragrance of the Gentlemen Only series.
UPDATE: OK it’s not so bad after all. I sampled Parisian Break again this afternoon and although it’s still generic, it has that interesting refreshingly bitter and authentic grapefruit note throughout which I do like. In fact I now prefer Parisian Break to Casual Chic whose heavy dose of ginger after a while can get a bit nauseating and boring in my view.

Drab run of the mill aquatic. Similar to Light Blue for Men.

    Mint and Ambroxan.
    Sad. Flat. End of 90s
    Remember me a showergel.
And in some way of Goodlife by Davidoff and Coriolan.

it is a rather nice fragrance, the pyramid of notes is acually spot on, from the minty grapefruit opening through to Ambroxan Vetiver drydown. It is very similar in places to Dior’s Sauvage, especially the heart notes. It’s nice, it’s likable, it’s just a bit unremarkable.

I can not understand why this year, all perfumes smell like washing dishes. This lemon..green, yellow.
I think that 2016 will be another disappointing year for perfumes.

I have to give it a ‘like’ because it’s not bad…but what is Parisian break? I’d say uber generic piffle. It’s mainly Ambroxan to my nose, there’s a ton of citrus and sage and its minty too, which reminds me of Invictus/Eros/some Gucci blah…and the recent Sauvage. For all its powdered, homogeneousness (yeah yeah you won’t find that in any dictionaries.) it does have something slightly masculine in there could be some vetiver? Not that it’s very evident, certainly not worthy of being the top of the vote notes…bizarre. Like I said it’s not bad but really doesn’t excite me and is even a touch incipid after a while but hey it lasts very well, not that it matters.
