Starts out with a Bang! An other-worldly, indolic, & natural-feeling Jasmine. Within an hour though, there’s an odd note that doesn’t work on my skin, at the dry down. I find myself repeatedly spritzing, in order to avoid getting to the dry down. Try before buy.

Santa Maria Novella’s ‘Gelsomino’ is a jasmine soliflor that’ oozes hyper real jasmine grandeur. This would grace the neck of a blushing bride on her white wedding day as it has an innocence and purity but is still bold, powerful and certainly no wallflower.
Sprayed onto a tester strip and it comes across as quite potent and intense, but that strip then lasts for days to still carry memories of the scent. Sprayed into the skin, the longevity is not as long as I’d like but dances about your neck/clothing for the next few hours.
As expected from a jasmine centered fragrance, it’s heady, indolic and is a white floral charmer.
If you like Al Rehab’s ‘Full’ then this is the luxurious alternative. It’s certainly cheaper than Nasomatto’s ‘Narcotic Venus’. It’s probably the best, most realistic and naturalistic jasmine soliflor, but I now want a little more depth and daring excitement from my jasmine scents.

Such a beautiful, true Jasmine! Pure Jasmine that smells soft and feminine. I don’t know if it’s the bottle, or just knowing the history of SMN but it really feels special and classic.
