Description

Gap launches two new fragrances of the Gap Established 1969 collection in summer of 2013. The collection originally rolled out in 2012 with the masculine and the feminine edition. The new flankers are named Gap Established 1969 Electric for men and Gap Established 1969 Bright for women.

Electric fragrance is created by David Apel. Its woody – aquatic composition begins with sea spray, bergamot and cassis. The heart of black pepper, petit grain and linden blossom rests on the woody base of patchouli, vetiver, blonde cedar and clary sage.

Men’s fragrance is available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

When I wear this I think of khakis and oddly enough …. pickle juice.

This one is well worth the price I paid at TJ Maxx. $10 maybe? It has a nice fresh open and feels very aquatic to me. The marine in this is pronounced on my nose. And I get strong aromatic as well. If you were to label a decant of this as a larger fragrance house and gave someone a sample they wouldn’t bat an eye that it was from a larger house. I have it on today just bouncing around town getting groceries and stuff. Enjoyable. A definite recommend.

… What to say about this one… I get a sea water note out of this, which is the prominent note throughout the life of the scent. As it dries down, i get a little more woods, but still more salty sea water than anything else. This doesn’t smell EXACTLY like sea water with a big hit of lemon, but for some reason, to me… it smells like almonds, that the first thing that comes to mind, i don’t know why. Anyway, i don’t dislike it, but its not one of my favorites either. Not bad for the price (1 oz for $6). Okay for just casual wear. just a bit too cloying for me

    projection: 7/10

T.J. Marshalls rack-jobber. 6.99. Nice fresh yet generic mossy-limey concoction. Ingredients smell a bit more on the natural side than a “cheapie” needs to be.
I use these type of cheapies as “emergency deodorant” in my car or work locker.
A functional frag that I actually might buy again.
……………20 minutes later: Dry down is DEEP & almost a little smokey…… and much better than I had expected ! Wow. Did not expect any twists and turns from this but there ya go! Almost want a back up bottle now…..
UPDATE: Holy crap! the dry down on this ALMOST smells like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille ! This stuff is GREAT ! Totally surprised.

Gap Established 1969 Electric, is quite good for a $15.00 fragrance. when first sprayed, you do get lots of the bergamot, lime(Linden Blossom) and a little sea water, nice and refreshing. It is NOT an aquatic fragrance though.
It is to my nose, a fresh spicy aromatic fragrance, that is very refreshing when first sprayed, but it does settle down to what some might call, “baloney cologney”.
But for $15.00 it’s a good fresh, slightly spicy fragrance that is great for very casual wear. Good longevity (5-6 hours & projection at about 2-3 feet for 2-3 hours, then it does sit close to the skin.
6 out of 10. A nice refreshing casual scent.
