Description

The fifth perfume in fragrant collection for women by Paris Hilton was presented and named Fairy Dust. It was made in cooperation with Mane USA, under the license of Parlux. The fragrance was announced as a new edition, which will definitely stir the public, just like Paris herself wherever she appears.

Fairy Dust opens with sparkling aromas of Processo, with pink peony and orange blossom, while the heart blooms with spring gardenia, peach nectar and lotus. The base notes incorporate patchouli, cashmere, musk and vanilla cream.

The perfume arrives in a glass bottle with an illustration, gentle fairy, in the centre of the bottle. Fairy Dust is available as 50 and 100ml EDP, with 200 ml body care lotion. The new edition will be available in over 90 countries of the world.
Fairy Dust was launched in 2008.

Keep those reviews coming, good and bad. Actually, help me decide whether or not to purchase. Found this at a bargain and I am thankful I read the reviews. I knew it was going to be something I’d like. I saw this a while back and passed it off because I had some mature scents in my collection. Well, I couldn’t resist as it was $10. This smells like those expensive luxurious perfumes from the 80s. Even the bottle screams vintage. However, the name Fairy dust is rather misleading considering how mature it smells. I wouldn’t expect Tinkerbell to wear this. That being said every now and then it’s nice to see celebrities come out with actual perfumes, not the usual safe sweet scents.

This is a hard one to review. You have to be in the mood to wear this one. Sometimes when I wear it, it totally bores me… other times I almost crave it.
I think this would be best worn in early spring when there is still snow on the ground and the spring flowers are just starting to come up.
This is a more mature grown up scent from Paris. It is lovely and classy. Very white floral and not sugary sweet at all. It is strong and lasts forever…7+ hours.

This is straight-up white florals with a sweet edge to me. I get no musk and no patchouli, and I’m fine with that. It reminds me strongly of Tocca Florence. It’s a great, CHEAP dupe, although it has weaker projection. I will have to test them side-by-side later. I don’t see why all the hate for this fragrance. Yes, it’s a grown-up scent, but it’s a very nice one.

Okay so I’m not usually a fan of florals but I bought this because it was like $11 for a 3.4oz on amazon and supposedly is a dupe for Juicy Couture Juicy Couture, which I love. I can see how they might be in the same genre of fragrances but smelling them side by side I don’t think it’s a dupe. Like there’s something missing from this one that’s in Juicy Couture Juicy Couture and whatever that is they’ve replaced with something very “mature” smelling. I might wear this in a setting where I’m trying to appear older than I am. I’d rate this a 6/10.

This is lovely. There’s a soft white flower and a very fresh smelling fruit. It’s a very bright, cheerful scent that reminds me a little of hair spray.
(That doesn’t put me off, the hair spray bit; I just wish I knew which one it was so I could layer my products! :p )

I bought this online to test if I could replace the Siren by Paris Hilton (which I love but can’t get my hands on anymore), and I couldn’t have gone more wrong with this one! Didn’t expect it to smell like Siren, but I wished to find similarities and at least like the scent on its own, because I’ve liked/loved Paris’ other perfumes. When you spray it in the air Fairy Dust doesn’t remind me of fairies at all, more like grandmas to be honest. Also on my skin the scent doesn’t evolve to anything great and all in all this is too “old lady’s” perfume for me. I gave it to my sister and on her skin the scent is amazing! Strong (one or two sprays are definitely enough) and long lasting, first it’s pungent, but after a while it turns to very warm and (not overly) sweet scent.

This perfume is the most boring perfume to ever perfume. It’s like if you were to describe a perfume to someone who has never encountered one, and this is the bland thing they concocted in their mind’s eye. I used to layer this with CK Be to make it a little more feminine, but it was so boring I had to give it away.

This perfume smells identical to Juicy’s Juicy Couture for Women perfume. I used to wear the juicy one a few years back but had run out and didn’t feel like spending another $45 dollars on a small bottle. I wanted to try one of paris’ scents and decided on fairy dust because of the advertisement commercial that I found on youtube. It was a complete blind buy and one that I am so happy with! I was so surprised when I first sprayed some out and smelled such a familiar scent. If you love the original Juicy Couture scent than you will absolutely love this one. The only noticeable difference to me is that this scent seems a little bit boozy or alcoholic initially although that part of it blends in quickly with the rest of the notes. If you don’t want to spend the money on the Juicy one or want to try it before investing more money into the Juicy fragrance definitely try this one. The bottle is kind of eh to me. While I like the blue sprayer and the clear top that covers the bottle I do not really like the bottle itself. If the fairy wouldn’t have been printed onto the bottle it would have been like one of the vintage bottles that women displayed on their vanities back in the day. The addition of the fairy imprint makes the bottle seem sort of weird to me though because it is not really playfully designed so it just seems out of place. The bottle is too serious for the fairy image and not playful enough for the theme of the fragrance in my opinion. It isn’t a big deal though and is cute enough for me to want to display. Overall I love this perfume especially considering the price point and how unique it is considering it is a celebrity fragrance. Definitely worth a smell at the least, 5/5 for me.

Oh wow…I’ll say this one is 95% identical with Juicy Couture EDP (even though they both don’t seem to share many same notes). The slight difference between those two is that this one has the lotus note that makes it a tat “sharper” than Juicy Couture (JC is also a tat “sweeter” to my nose). Other than that, sillage and longevity in this one are pretty impressive. Well done Paris! It is SUCH an underrated fragrance (I have smelled “stinky” and “sickly” perfumes from well known perfume houses before. They are so WAY overpriced and overrated, compared to this little fairy). However, I do like JC bottle design much better 🙂
I bought this one off eBay for $9.75 (TOTAL) for a 3.4 oz brand-new-in-sealed-box bottle. I’m VERY VERY VERY PLEASED!

I owed fairy dust another review
When I saw that I can’t like it,I decided to gift it to my sister in law.our perfume taste is exactly opposite.she usually hates what I like(gourmands, sweet scents) and I hate what she likes(light aquatic florals, citrus scent)
I was hesitant because I never found her liking white florals or heavy perfumes but I was sure that I can smell lots of lotus here and she loves lotus.when she sprayed it,I thought wow it really smells good at first.as time passed nothing changed.it was still very lovely.a clean musky floral which projected very well and when walked, she lefted tail of a fresh, feminine scent behind.she said that she loves it and told me that it reminds her previous signature scent, bvlgari omnia crystalline!
I hate to treat a perfume unkindly and now I’m so happy that I could find a place for my full bottle of fairy dust where it’s loved
Don’t pass this one untried.if you like it and of course if it likes you,you may find a great value for the money you pay

This perfume isn’t sold in my country and I’m interested in celebrity perfumes.it’s pretty name,it’s lovely notes(gardenia, musk, peony, orange flower and vanilla are my favorites)and it’s very cheap price made me order it from a foreign website.I expected to like it and I did when I first tested it.I could see why it’s compared to juicy couture but I didn’t find them that similar
Last week I sprayed it on my skin for the first time.it’s opening was nice.very loud and a bit harsh but still a nice, happy floral scent.my husband believed it’s beautiful(he’s into floral scents).but it didn’t take much time to settle down to something I couldn’t stand!first I thought why our room smells like cucumber but then I could see that it’s not cucumber.it’s like melon or watermelon.something ozonic and aquatic(which I hate)and something like spoiled fruit mixed with very intense white floral.I guess I can’t handle peach and lotus together.all in all I hate lotus when I can detect it in a fragrance and it’s very dominant here(at least on my skin).hubby asked me wether I had sprayed another perfume?I answered no.he was surprised:”but this one smelled nice.now it’s disgusting!”
In that stage, I found it very similar to juicy couture but JC is balanced and not as loud as this one, also not as ozonic, aquatic as fairy dust though it’s the one with water melon note.actually I can sometimes like JC (in rare occasions)but fairy dust made me sick.I’m very easy going and nothing can easily cause me headache or nausea but fairy dust was one of the rare cases I couldn’t tolerate a perfume for even one more minute and had to wash it off and for the first time I experienced what I had read several time in negative reviews.it was so strong that I couldn’t remove it!
Not every people is so sensitive to ozonic scents and not everyone has my skin chemistry which amps up anything aquatic or ozonic so I can get why other people may love it.
Today I decided to give it another chance.when first sprayed I could smell something like lilies rather than mentioned florals.then the terrifying phase started and lasted for an hour with huge sillage.it was better in drydown.finally I could smell my beloved gardenia but it didn’t go well with ripe peach, soapy musk and sharp lotus to my nose.I won’t try it again any time soon
It’s bottle is another disappointment.it looks very cheap unlike it’s nice box.a perfume named fairy dust can be more pretty and should smell totally different, soft and sparkly, delicate and magical,in my book
Fortunately it was cheap so I’ll probably gift my 3.4oz bottle to a friend who likes it.this bad experience won’t prevent me from testing other Paris Hilton perfumes as I also have dazzle from her which is pretty and easy to wear

This was a surprise! I really like it. Yes, it resembles Juicy Couture but it has another level of “kick” to it. Very nice!
I can’t believe I overlooked this for all these years. Ladies, this is bargain priced everywhere. I got mine for under $10 and feel it’s worthy every scent. Try it!

I love this fragrance and got it for a bargain. Very underrated among her perfumes and I think it gets overlooked. There is an unfortunate downside being that it has little to no staying power, it is more like a body mist. If you like peachy fragrances like Amirage Givenchy and Juicy Couture Couture Couture you’ll like this scent I think.

Hate the top notes but really like the dry down 🙂 the top Notes smell of fizzy wine , what brings back a few hangover feels lol and antiseptic cream , not great but 10mins later it’s nice 🙂 it’s floral and musky but plesent , would like to add it’s not bad just very diffident from the very sweet fruit foodie smells we are all so use to.

I really wanted to like this fragrance. I have PH Siren and am on my third bottle. Fairy Dust is nothing like Siren. FD reminds me of fragrances from the sixties and seventies. It’s like one of those vintage perfumes from Avon. It starts out way too strong. It dries down okay but nothing special. I’m glad I only bought the roller bottle as opposed to the full size 3.4. Needless to say, I won’t be purchasing this again. If anyone wants the roller bottle, I would be willing to trade it for a Siren roller bottle.

soapy gardenia. i have several EdPs like this in my wardrobe … so it’s nothing special. decent silage. i bought it for the bottle, which had the potential to be much more visually interesting, (the box and sleeve are quite pretty) but who can argue when the price point is so low

This just stinks. All the notes are ones I love but what comes out of it, on paper and on me, is medicinal and disgusting. I have no idea how this has been around so long or sold enough to justify its making. This is one of the worst smelling perfumes Ive ever encountered.

I wish there were a “meh” option in addition to the love, like and dislike. I had a sample, and I gave it a shot, even tho I can’t stand Paris Hilton. But, c’est la vie. She is who she is.
I thought this fragrance smelled a lot like White Shoulders. I haven’t used Juicy Couture.
    It’s a “meh” for me.

I don’t understand the amount of negativity on this Fragrance! I think it’s because it’s by Paris Hilton but as someone said before; if this was a designer Fragrance there wouldn’t be so much backlash on it. It is a PERFECT dupee for Juicy Couture for Women, the only difference is that Fairy Dust dries down more musky as opposed to a more sweet caramel like Juicy Couture.
This was a blind buy for me and I am so impressed by it! I don’t have to spend $70 on a bottle of Juicy Couture when something so similar is only $8 with literally the exact same smell and Sillage. Though I will always buy Juicy Couture because I enjoy prestige and quality, I can easily go to Paris Hilton’s if I can not afford the other! GREAT BUY! would recommend for someone ages 25-45 years!

After passing by Paris Hilton’s offerings in the perfume department I finally came across this beauty.
“Fairy Dust” is definitely a lovely intimate scent for a woman who wants to go out to intimate places without smelling obnoxious at night. All of the notes are noted from start to finish. I distinctly got the gardenia (which I thought was jasmine) the apricot and that beautiful musk that lifts this scent to where it should be.
I distinctly love the details on the box under the coverlet with Paris looking like a freaky fairy. Nevertheless, the sparkling highlights on dark blue is gorgeous. I think the bottle, though simple, is gorgeous and easy to hold. I appreciate the way the inside blue of the spray cap catches the light of the fairy figure spark on the bottle.
I was so satisfied with this fragrance I bought two and I am not giving anyone any. Its the night fragrance I was looking for after searching so hard. I got 2 100mL for $40TT for one! Magnificent in my book.
If you are searching for a pretty night fragrance do give “Fairy Dust” a try. My mother smelled it on me on Saturday night and said she really liked how it smelled. Must admit though, like a fairy this fragrance is a shy one during the day but comes out to play and spread its powdery beautiful indolic drama at night. This is my first night fragrance hands down!

After reading all the reviews and looking at the notes, I finally decided to purchase a 3.4 oz bottle for $10 at my local discount store. As I sprayed it on my skin, my first reaction was, “wow, this is a really nice soft, musky Gardenia”; and it remains that way as it dries down. My favorite flower is the Gardenia; and this perfume meets my true desire in having a Gardenia scent that is soft and lingers all day long without being cloying. To me, Gardenia/Musk/Lotus notes are center stage; and stay that way to the end. I have tried many Gardenia perfumes; which all seemed either too much or too little of something, BUT this cheap perfume doesn’t smell cheap to me at all. I think this is Paris Hilton’s most mature scent; who truly knows how to make a Gardenia scent last, while smelling like a sexy, playful, fun loving woman. I really like it.
Update: This ended up being too musky and suffocating on me.

Bought this one super cheap at a discount chemist. I figured it was worth the gamble, as I liked the original Paris Hilton perfume back in the day. Unfortunately, I am not digging this one at all. It smells like cheap old lady perfume on my skin. It’s quite harsh and slightly nauseating.
The bottle isn’t very attractive and it makes it look cheap.

This perfume is awful and gave me a migraine. One of the worst scents in history. It should of been called Fairy Farts instead…JUST MY HONEST OPINION.

I got a 10 dollar 30 ml bottle blind at Ross in SF while visiting my son and really had no idea what this would be like! But I was game, and this would be my first Paris Hilton fragrance so I thought here goes.
At first spray, it was, oh god, what is this. But in a few minutes that changed to: this is getting to – nice and peachy, warm, sweet, patchouli is the agreeable kind, bit of honey, I think, good lasting power because nothing usually does on me, and the white florals are charming me and…
I am seeing that fragrancex has the 100 ml for 13 bucks and I am so getting that!

  25. :

    3 out of 5

First things first: if this wasn’t a celebrity fragrance (and associated with a particularly, ahem, vacuous celeb to boot) this would get so much more love I am certain.
Second thing: the name is incredibly misleading. ‘Fairy Dust’ makes me think of the Lily Flame candle/room spray of the same name – all fluffy marshmallow and pink powder puffs. That’s NOT what this is.
In truth, Fairy Dust is a very nicely done, grown-up white floral and high quality considering the bargainous price. Its a strong, creamy gardenia and tuberose combination (tuberose is unlisted, but come ON: this is tuberose central!) for about an hour, with thwacking great projection. I really don’t get the patchouli at all.
It mellows down nicely an hour or so in and the other notes creep in. I get peach, orange blossom, vanilla and a light musk. It has shades of a less potent Madonna Truth or Dare in the dry down, which is a winner with me.
Definitely one of the superior celeb fragrances.

Well hello Fairy Dust aren’t you a lovely surprise!
I bought this blind yesterday for $10 at my local Chemist.
Thankfully this ended up being a good and happy blind buy for me
Its a lovely white floral, with a freshness to it.
Maybe its the Lotus or Peach that’s doing that?
But it also has a musky , vanilla and soft patchouli under tone to it that sits so nice on my skin
This lasts a good 7/8 hours on my skin before it starts to disappear , which is pretty good before id have to reapply
This is such a pretty scent.
    I really like it .
I had heard this was nice , so for 10 bucks I thought “What the heck. Lets live on the edge! ” LOL
Ive only ever smelt one of Paris’s perfumes before and that was her very first one when it came out years ago, and after that I was turned off by her perfumes and would just walk straight past them.
I really did not like that first scent one bit !

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Hmmm, this one is not for me. I hoped I would like it based on all the reviews that cite florals and comparisons to tuberose, even though I know it’s not in the notes. But all I got was patchouli. It doesn’t wear as a floral on me on me it’s just loud. Sorry.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

I like this perfume. And as many are saying, for a celeb’s it’s potent and long lasting. The dry down turns into a men’s cologne on me, almost all wood. I’d call it a nice winter’s afternoon unisex.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

It’s alright very strong white floral note. It’s on the cheaper side of scents. I would rather not wear a fragrance at all if this was my only choice. It’s too offensive in the florals. I think this would be nauseating and rude to wear to dinner.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I found a massive bottle of this online for under $8 with free shipping, so I thought, “why not?” and bought it blind, based on the description of it’s composition here (fragrantica.com). I just got it in the mail today and am just basking in the light and lovely scent.
To my nose, it is a fruity-predominant floral that is softly grounded by something very earthy and green (without being pungent or acidic).
It makes me feel like I’m eating watermelon while seated in a comfy, mossy niche under ancient trees. Quite lovely indeed!
Fortunately, it’s not cost-prohibitive by any means because it takes quite a bit (for me and my chemistry at least) to detect it at all; there is next to zero staying power for me, unfortunately, though spraying it on my clothes does give it some longevity (more than none). It’s one that you’d need to carry with you if you want to smell it all day.
Edit: I just discovered that this layers beautifully over VS’s Bombshell.
    Hope this helps.

Sometimes on Fragrantica it is tough to discern whether dislike of a fragrance stems from the actual scent or from its branding. Fairy Dust presents an extreme case.
Early reviews here complain of its resemblance to Juicy Couture (2006). Apart from white flower dominance, they have little in common. Fairy Dust doesn’t remind me much of anything else, certainly not JCJC. JCJC is more complex; it dries down; it’s more ambitious.
As for branding and packaging, I literally have to laugh out loud because it’s a coin flip which one is tackier: Paris Hilton’s persona of the vacuous sleazy celebrity or the word JUICY stitched across size XXXL yoga pants. I love Juicy Couture fragrances, but in no way do I view their branding as a positive point. I would be less embarrassed for someone to see Paris Hilton bottles in my cabinet than Juicy Couture bottles. Bling and things dangling off bottles are funny.
I’m going to be real honest here and admit that cheap fragrances have a cheerful quality the “real stuff” lacks. As someone who has to dress seriously for work and wear sensible grown up professional scents (usually Chanel 19, Amouage Gold, some Guerlain or other, White Linen Light Breeze, etc…) most days, I really crave my down time when I can wear cheap PH fragrances, Juicy Couture, Britney Spears, and so on. So it’s funny to see Juicy Couture fans berate this one.
    From the website (worth reading):
<< Paris Hilton waves her magic wand and enchants young women in every corner of the world with Fairy Dust, her magical new fragrance. It invites women of every age to believe that with a sprinkle of Fairy Dust dreams really can come true. There’s just a hint of magic in this captivating new fragrance from Paris Hilton.
Enticing, Flirtatious, Fascinating. Top notes of sparkling prosecco accord, pink peony, orange blossom. Mid notes of spring gardenia, peach nectar, water lily. Base notes of sueded patchouli, cashmere musk, vanilla cream.>>
Well, I get peony and orange blossom, followed by gardenia and maybe a slight peachiness. This stuff never achieves dry down on me and there is no patchouli in it. It gets stuck on orange blossom and gardenia. But I LOVE IT. Fairy Dust is my Saturday scent. I can spray it on and smell it all day. It even makes my dirty laundry smell good. It’s not sweet at all: great on hot days.
Give it a fair shake and stop judging it based on the Paris Hilton character.

  32. :

Right idea, wrong execution. I agree that it smells like a cheaper Juicy Couture. The most dominant notes for me are peach, gardenia, patchouli and vanilla. A little flat and linear. Can’t decide whether or not I like it. Sometimes I think it smells dated, sometimes I see what it’s trying to be and it’s not so bad. I’ve never worn it out in public because years later, I still don’t know what to think about it.
My advice would be try before you buy. Or if you’re a blind buyer like myself, go with a 30ml.

  33. :

Instant like with this. The first spray was so yummy and sweet then it quickly settled into a similar smell to Truth or Dare by Madonna (probably the Gardenia) , Lovely, it’s a perfect Spring fragrance, very uplifting. I blind bought it because I found it cheap and based on reviews it sounded ok, but I really like it a lot, perhaps love it…Maybe??? 🙂

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This is pretty much ALL gardenia and patchouli! Its stronggg stuff! Im actually more into sweet/gourmands so this is a little much for me. I would prefer it with more debth, more vanilla or amber or something..although my husband likes it haha. Its strong, its floral, its dirty…not bad but different. I absolutely love the bottle design with the fairy decoration! Its cute and subtle. Im not sure how often ill wear this but Ill keep it around, only spent $9 on it so why not 🙂

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I was very curious about how this smells because I like gardenia, but… for someone who reads reviews this one was looking pretty bad.
Well, I decided to be optimistic and try it. I have to say I understand both ends of the opinion spectrum here! This is very, very flowery. First, a heavy dose of peony and orange blossom which stayed light, sweet, and like a fairy town party. Ok.
Then the Queen Fairy shows up about 15 minutes later and she is a dark one. Heavy, musk, and loads of real gardenia that drowns the fairies is laid like a blanket over the whole thing and nobody is coming up for air here. She must be mad about something.
I love gardenia, but I need my gardenia to be able to breathe, I guess. I also like patchouli but didn’t detect it so it must be blended in really well or just got smothered.
Sparkly party over, people. If heavy gardenia and musk is what you crave, this is it. I just am not enjoying this one right now. It reminds me of my experience with Diamonds and Emeralds, which was disappointing also. It is definitely a sample before buying perfume.

  36. :

I put that this reminds me of Gale Hayman Delicious Beverly Hills. It might seem totally like no at first but I just received both these perfumes today and realized they both have a similar thing about them did a comparison and I’m pretty sure what I’m smelling is the Gardenia and Patchouli because that’s the only notes they have it common. but very significantly. Differences I sense is that Fairy Dust has strong musk (which I feel is a tiny bit tooo strong) and that peach note which is absolutely delightful, I wish it were stronger. I also wish the vanilla was a bit stronger too. I suppose one could layer this with a plain vanilla or peach fragrance;body spray, lotion or something…..
Fairy Dust is a Brittney Spears type of perfume. I call it the “hott sexy fun party girl smell”. Perhaps one step below Victoria’s Secret perfumes. I am glad that the fruit in this is peach. i really like that. I just got this perfume today so I need more bonding time with this. i will update it when able. 🙂

i just bought another 100ml bottle of this stuff, its my Autumn/Winter fragrance along with Thierry Mugler Angel. for me this shines in the cold weather, it really goes a long way for me. it lasts 8+ hours & just smells amazing. the gardenia is the main note i get throughout this fragrance, with hints of patchouli coming through on the dry down. its really cheap to pick up i man i just got my 100ml bottle for £9 on eBay brand new so for the price its amazing.

  38. :

I must say Fairy Dust is not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. I was expecting it to be a putrid perfume.
Instead I got a mature aroma more appropriate for a woman in her 40s and upwards.
However it does smell quite sythetic indeed.
To be fair I wouldn’t mind at all if my mom wore it because contrarily to people saying it smells grandma-ish to me it evoked me more of a mama vibe.

Yet another review from me about this perfume. It’s a VERY temprimental perfume. You can’t wear this perfume in the winter, at the end of spring or summer. I’ve experienced the best and worst of this scent.
Fairy Dust has a lot of potential. It’s just composed in the wrong way. It’s heavy, it’s musky and it’s dirty. The patchouli and musk in this shouldn’t exist. It should have been replaced with cashmere or Amber. Especially with such fresh notes that start the perfume. The Gardenia is too heavy. The peach is gorgeous however, and the orange blossom and peony really make it sparkle. It was just made horribly wrong.
Give it a chance however. Buy the 30ml bottle. You either love this or hate it, I’m on the fence. As I wear it now I get why people hate it, I HATE the end of this smell. But I love the beginning and see its potential. I just wish it developed differently on skin.

Im from the philippines and my friend from usa gave me this wonderful perfume. This one have a chemistry on my skin. When i used this one and sprayed it on my neck. I smell a wonderful scent. It reminds me of living in the province. Walking in the sunrise. This perfume is like ur alwYs in a summer day. Smells like sampaguita with the touch of little fruity.. The sillage and longevity are pretty good. When i sprayed it in my body. The scents exploding in the whole room. This fairy dust is a sister of JUICY COUTURE. BUT FAIRY DUST is more seductive n captivating..

This is probably my all time favorite fragrance. It so pretty, delicate, and feminine. The gardenia speaks to my inner Southern Belle. The other notes play ‘supporting character’ roles to the gardenia star, and for a minute you might be swept away to an evening walk in a southern estate garden. That being said, this scent is not for everyone and just like any perfume it smells different on every body. My only complaint is the bottle design, and that is simply horrible. But I do hope you will see past that and give Fairy Dust a try.

Fragrance Review For Fairy Dust Paris Hilton
    Top Notes Peony Orange Blossom
    Middle Notes Gardenia Lotus Peach
    Base Notes Patchouli Musk Vanilla
This appears to be the least favorite or least loved of the Paris Hilton fragrances even by so called Paris Hilton perfume lovers. I’m not a fan of this line and have only enjoyed my experience with Tease. Tease was full bodied, rich, summery, sweet and long lasting. It does have more in common with Fairy Dust than other PH frags. They both contain gardenia. This is very clearly a gardenia scent. The recreated gardenia white floral scent is assisted by the vanilla pairing. Vanilla’s scent matches up with gardenia flower. This is what I mostly get it out of it a very mature white floral scent. It has other ingredients and notes that give it various moods: musky, aromatic (patchouli) fruity (peach, citrus) and floral (gardenia peony and lotus). It could have become an Oriental had there been other notes to go with patchouli like sandalwood or some woods. But this is a very simple fragrance. I think it’s lovely and was very surprised by how good it actually was. This is missing so much of the airy sugar coated fruity floral trappings of other PH perfumes. It’s a gorgeous gardenia, patchouli and vanilla. I don’t see how it evokes a fairy, because this is very terrestrial and earthbound. This is a scent for grown up women who love white floral fragrances. It still has delicious peach and it can feel sophisticated and elegant. I would recommend this as a formal evening wear perfume for a date or for a formal event. This is affordable (cheap really) so if you’re on a budget and love white floral scents, and you’re comfortable with patchouli and musk, you should definitely check this out. A girlfriend of mine is taking this baby to her prom. Let’s hope other people on the dance floor can appreciate it.

This is not Fairy Dust… Smells nothing like what I imagine Fairy Dust to smell like.
This is Fairy Farts… If Tinkerbell lived on a diet of Gardenias this is what she would smell like.
This would have to be my favourite Gardenia fragrance, it is gentle, a little bit shy but it is all Gardenia with the added sweetness of Peony.
Only lasts on the skin about 3 hours (I can still smell it on my clothes the next day though), the scent stays a true gardenia, this is no fading flower.
Absolutely Gorgeous, I am surprised by Paris Hilton’s taste, she comes off as a pink girly girl but this is all woman.
