Estratto Di Follia was released in 2013 and its name means, in English, “Madness Extract”. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in the current range of options of the house, as it happened with Eros and Emulsione Libera.
It is a perfume based on an ancient formulation called Theriac, which was used to cure malignant fevers, to calm cough and asthma attacks. The translation took place through notes of lemon, bergamot and seaweed on top, surrounding a body that features notes of pink pepper and black pepper, patchouli and bouquet of white flowers, on a base of amber, white moss and lichen from Iceland.
When the perfume is applied on the skin, the alcohol content frightens. I do not remember feeling something like that in any other fragrance of the house. But quickly, the lemon appears and arrives mixed with a nuance of grass and a beautiful patchouli, this one more woody than earthy. There is a spicy touch, but not too peppery. The floral accord is very beautiful and the base is slightly mossy.
In my opinion, Estratto Di Follia is a floral-aquatic with mossy nuances and feminine personality, even being unisex. Again, I can say that it is a fragrance different from what is often seen in the market. The projection is between weak and moderate, but the durability is good. Unfortunately, it is no longer produced.
