This is an incense and resin BOMB! Those who really love exotic oriental fragrances loaded with incense, resins and amber will probably salivate over this. It is loaded with olibanum/frankincense and a hefty dose of labdanum as well. There is some clove in here. I smell absolutely no rose but do get the carnation if I search for it. This is a fairly dry oriental and if you are looking for florals or much sweetness this is probably not for you. You need to like something on the order of Opium to appreciate this one. It doesn’t smell like Opium but of you are into that type of fragrance you might be pleased with this. I am not normally into this kind of fragrance but this is really growing on me. The opening alarmed me a bit the dry down is nice. It is almost like pure olibanum oil and labdanum.
