Description

Lolita Lempicka launches new feminine fragrance Elle L’aime in September 2013. The scent marks a passionate woman full of confidence who rules her fate, a woman who shines like she is in love, as it is officially described.

The scent is warm and sensual oriental – floral. It opens with sparkling citrus accords of bergamot, neroli and lime. The heart includes extremely sensual and opulent notes of coconut, jasmine and ylang-ylang. The base consists of sandalwood, vanilla and myrrh.

The bottle is designed as a shimmering talisman; a jewel of light in golden color. The fragrance is available as 40 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Instant love for me! A blind buy based on reviews. The only note in here I was worried about was the myrrh and I don’t detect it at all.
This is so fresh and pretty. It is sweet and creamy. It does the coconut/lime/vanilla in a way no sunscreen or bath and body works scent can even compare to. It is a summer scent but in no way smells like you are wearing tanning lotion. When I close my eyes I am transported to a beach resort!

I blind brought this based on the reviews. Upon first spray I get a sour lime with bitter lime rind which I am not a big fan of. After an hour or so the lime settles into more well blended fresh citrus scent with a slight hint of sweetness. I would say this is great for summer especially paired with Aquolina Gold sugar if you are wanting something more gourmand. Over great buy.

My perfect ideal of pretty and fresh, yet still sweet. 🙂
On my skin I’m getting a lot of lime, some vanilla, definitely some sandalwood. I would not have thought this was from lolita lempicka, it doesn’t feel heavy. Very beachy, yet not in the way I’m used to beachy scents smelling if that makes sense. I layered this over gold sugar and it’s insanely good. I think this would layer nicely over a lot of scents actually. Sillage is nice for me, not overwhelming but nit a skin scent either. Longevity could be better but it’s not bad for the price point. A win.

I was gifted a bottle of Elle L’aime, a fragrance I’ve never used before. I am a fan of Lolita Lempicka, finding her perfumes quirky & very feminine. With this perfume, I got a big hit of coconut & white flowers when first applied. After 15 minutes, I smell sweet, creamy, fruity notes that combine to make an ultra feminine fragrance, that attracts compliments.

Very nice, just wish it was a bit stronger. You do get that summer coconut vibe, wears very close to the skin, so others are not going to notice too much unless they get close to you. I will keep buying it just because I enjoy the smell, but just wont quite make it as a signature scent.

This smells like a fresh coconut cocktail. Extremely summery. I mostly get coconut and lime. Initially, the lime might be a little sharp but the fragrance softens when the vanilla and ylang-ylang kick in. Tropical, fresh, a little sweet and a lot of lovely coconut. Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 5-6 hours.

This is my go to sexy summer perfume! I love the way it smells. It makes me feel like I’m somewhere tropical and it wears really well in the hot humid heat of the Oklahoma summers. It has just the right amount of sweet and citrus. I can definitely smell the coconut, vanilla and lime notes on my skin. It doesn’t have very good staying power or projection but I do like heavy scents. It will stay better if you use an unscented lotion that does seem to lock it down better and spray it again half way through the day. This will be one scent I will never be without!

There must be something wrong with my nose, because even though the reviewers’ votes disagree with me, this has way better sillage and presence than Lolita by L.L. Not that they’re similar in any way, but just wanted to point that out.
The scent in itself is lovely, very wearable, creamy citrusy coconut. Great beach and summer scent, but not too girly and neither too sweet. Great value for the price, sprayed it 3 hours ago and it doesn’t seem to wanna go anywhere.

I was looking for a simple fragrance to be worn in the hot summer days in Rome, and I walk to work everyday so I needed something that would not prevent people to take the elevator with me once I reached my office. This definitely smells LIKE summer, it makes me think of those utmost-relaxation moments when you enjoy a cornetto with your friends at the beach kiosk, surrounded by blossoming bushes and still covered in salt water and sunscreen. I smell the coconut – which is nicely balanced by the myrr and sandal – the ylang-ylang and a bit of neroli/jasmine bouquet.
This is gonna be my go to when I need a quiet yet unusual perfume for the hot summer days.
And the price is great! Only con: the longevity was a bit disappointing.

After the read rewiews from here I decided to buy this parfum. I ordered from internet and love this scent. Actually in my mind Guerlain’s Terracota. But now it’s expensive for me and Elle L’aime is very nice. Only I’m spreying often because of the weak-moderate longevity.

UPDATE: I have since tested this fragrance on a couple of hot days, and it is TO DIE FOR! I wore it while swimming and the scent wafting up from my skin coupled with the scent of the saltwater was heavenly! Yesterday, I layered this with a little Aquolina Gold Sugar — no better combination! Sweet, summery deliciousness!
SECOND UPDATE: I just wore this fragrance to a friend’s birthday party over the weekend, and I received two unsolicited comments that I smelled “delicious” — YES! I had this scent layered with Sol de Janiero’s Brazilian Crush body mist and it was incredibly intoxicating! Elle L’aime is one of the only scents I own that I know can be successfully layered and tailored to your mood or any spring/summer occasion. In love with this fragrance!

At first I found it smell very powdery, I think it is the ylang ylang. But after around 3 minutes, the coconut scent appears and it is very nice. The coconut scent is more like a coconut milk scent. This does not last a long time on me but there is still a hint of coconut smell left on my arm which is very nice.

Elle L’aime smells very literally like nice sunscreen, straight up. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for that scent in a perfume. And if only Lolita Lempicka perfumed like this one!

A strong, creamy blend of coconut and vanilla, complimented beautifully with lime, jasmine and sandalwood! Absolutely gorgeous scent! A floral oriental, verging on gourmand. I agree with another reviewer that said the scent smells like buttery cookies. Somehow it does, like Coconut Lime cookies or some sort of Coconut Key Lime tart, with graham cracker crust! It’s so light, beautiful and delicious. Refreshing, but comforting at the same time. I also agree with the suntan lotion comparison, but perhaps that is what I like about it? It encapsulates the carefree feelings and memories of summer. To top it off, the bottle is exquisite, heavier than I expected, and looks stunning amongst my little collection. Currently one of my favorites!
I would say sillage is moderate. The lasting power on me is about 4-5 hours, but it’s a scent I like so much, I wouldn’t mind re-applying. I expect it will work well in the heat, I can’t wait to find out. I will definitely be trying this out for a day at the beach.
I ordered this perfume after receiving recommendations on the Fragrantica forum for a tropical/coconut fragrance — thank you! Elle L’aime Lolita Lempicka is so beautifully blended and everything I was hoping for in a light, tropical fragrance for summer! <3

Delicious, I’m looking for summer perfumes and I ordered some samples, this has warm, creamy coconut, will buy very soon. It’s good for summer afternoons to evenings.
    Edit:
Oh wow now that I have it I love it so much more. It’s very unique. It will be THE summer perfume for me, I absolutely love it. It’s citrus-y and coconut-y but in a sexy sophisticated way. Longevity is good on clothes and hair. The bottle is gorgeous. Everything about this perfume makes it feel way more expensive than it actually is, the scent, the bottle…I wish it came in a larger size, I’d love an 150 mls 🙁 .

I’ve been wearing this one lately and at first I was thinking it wasn’t what I’m really into but it’s starting to grow on me.
It reminds me of Burberry Brit with the lime opening and sweetness. But the ylang ylang and coconut is STRONG on this which gives the sunscreen feel, whereas that one has a powdery almond.
I like that this fragrance isn’t synthetic or overwhelmingly sweet, I can see this being worn in both summer and Autumn.
I prefer this over Beach Walk by Maison Margiela, but I prefer Jennifer Aniston’s Near Dusk over this one as that one captures the smell of an ocean breeze with coconut (although Elle has much better projection and lasting power).
I’m not sure if I really like it as much as others, yet I’ve used a surprising amount already so maybe I secretly love it aha.
I LOVE layering Paradise by Nest over this which is a blood orange scent, it smells so delicious that I can’t stop huffing my arm hahah!

I have a mini of this and I am in love. Elle l’aime is soft, warm, coconut and vanilla. I can pick up hints of freshness from the citrus, but it’s nicely grounded by creamy sandalwood. The scent’s character is sweet, flirty, and feminine, but again that creamy sandalwood in the base keeps this comforting and cozy. It feels like lounging in the park, on a soft yellow blanket, and feeling the warmth of the sun alternating with a soft cooling breeze. This is what I want to smell like all spring and summer.

One of my favorites for hot humid Mumbai weather, a climate that is really the ultimate test for any perfume as it suppresses many softer notes and doesn’t let scent molecules travel easily.
This one performs and that unbelievably nicely too. It’s sweet, tropical and contains so many notes that fit so well to with India (Coconut, Sandalwood, Jasmin etc). At least in our climate I don’t get any of the citrus notes though.
It lasts and it projects. It’s one of the few scents that repeatedly has my husband ask me what I applied to smell so nice.
Wear it in hot weather and enjoy the tropical feel!
But frankly the vanilla note kinda tempts me to also try it some time in cold European winter weather in case I should be visiting home around that season.
After-note about the bottle: Not my favorite design to be honest. But the scent makes up for it easily.

Love, love, love it! I’m a big fan of Lolita Lempika fragrances and this one was a blind buy and I was hoping I would like it as much as i like LL, actually I like this one even more. It’s sweet and creamy, you can really smell the coconut and the vanilla but also it has a zing to it from the lime and bergamot.
This makes me so happy and it gives me such a warm and cozy feeling, I can’t stop smelling my wrist, it’s so bright and vibrant, like a sunny summer day! ❤️

Most coconut perfumes I’ve had and enjoyed have the beachy, sunscreen vibe… this is nothing like that. It does open with coconut but has an equally strong earthy, and a little astringent, quality. I think it’s the myrrh and a hint of lime. After about an hour it mellows out into a softer, warm coconut-vanilla. Really like how different this is on my skin. It’s tropical enough to be familiar, but the opening notes are bold enough for someone who is maturing in tastes. Probably best for a summer evening out.

Maybe it’s useful if someone doesn’t like coconut.
On my skin it is very similar to Burberry Brit edt, except the coconut.
Funny because i like Lolita better than Burberry and the main reason is….coconut!
Ok, i finished this coconut thing

    Very summer-y. Coconut. Quite unique.
But my sis said- it’s really boring. Smells like perfume only teenage girls use. And it smells like butter cookies.
Well, I don’t mind it. But the problem is, I smell only coconut.. It is not my favorite coconut ..

All I can say Is WOW!!!!!!! Where have you been all of my scent life????
As soon as i sprayed this I automatically got spring and summer. The coconut in this is lovely and the vanilla is sweet and not cloying.
I love it! the projection on this bad boy is awesome.
love it love it love it

There’s something sharp and discordant with this one. I do not get anything resembling coconut nor any pf my beloved neroli.
Very similar to L’Instant, as are so many others.
My little mini is finally used up and I’m not sad about it at all.

Bought a .07 oz. bottle from Fragrancenet (a company that has never let me down), and excitedly dabbed some on my wrists. An overwhelming blast of myrrh startled me at first, but I waited for the coconut and vanilla to show up in the dry down. It dried down to a very peculiar, and unpleasant, myrrh/citrus/floral mess. So disappointed, as I shamelessly adore coconut. Thinking perhaps I got an “off” bottle from Fragrancenet, which I have read from other other members that they have had bad experiences with the company. I hope not. Whatever. Good thing it only cost a few bucks.

This fragance confuses me so much, it was a blind buy for me. I thought I was given the wrong fragance because sadly I do not detect ANY coconut or vanilla on my skin, only citruses, ylang ylang and sandalwood. The opening it’s a really strong combination of those three notes and I really dislike it, but when it softens I could swear it’s so similar to the very first spray of Ange ou Demon!
Definitely not a safe blind buy. The longevity of course, as almost every LL, it’s amazingly long lasting.

For me, Elle Laime is an uncanny dupe of Memoire Liquide Vacances Liquide. The treatment of lime, coconut, and white flowers in each perfume is very very similar. I don’t own VL anymore, but now that I have Elle Laime, I’m all set for this genre. The perfume is very well blended and the lime, coconut, and florals intertwine so that none are too demanding. Very nice.

I blind bought Elle L’Aimes on a whim because it was so cheap on ebay (14€/40ml EDP) and I noticed that I didn’t have any summery coconut fragrances, even though I enjoy those.
    This did not disappoint.
The first spray is very refreshing with citrus, especially lime, and a bit of neroli. Coconut and ylang ylang slowly come out of the background.
Soon this becomes a creamy, balmy, fresh but warm mix of white and yellow florals, vanilla and coconut. Dreamy and tropical. Ylang ylang is very prominent to my nose.
Projection and longevity are average to good. The final drydown is mostly a coconut skinscent.
I wore this twice now, once on a sunny and once on a rainy day, and enjoyed it more in the warmth of the sun. It’s not like it doesn’t develope on a cooler day, it does, it just matches the feel of a sunny day much better.

I have Elle L’aime and the Folie flanker. On both bottles the only name that appears is Elle L’aime at the bottom. However side by side the visual difference is clear. Elle L’aime is a clear bottle with gold letters. Folie is a gold bottle with clear letters. I also noticed the liquid of Folie is much darker. Still, it is quite confusing if you can’t remember which is which! IMHO Both are beautiful fragrances in their own right and I am hard pressed to pick a favourite. On me, the original with the focus on lime and coconut is a little more playful and perhaps better suited for day time wear whereas Folie Is more sultry and smooth with the emphasis on the floral aspect, I find it quite buttery too ;o) Both are gorgeous and both are worth owning.

    @Tussa
There are several versions: Elle L’Aime which is the original; Elle L’Aime a la Folie (EDP); L L’Aime (EDT).
All are in virtually identical bottles, the labels on the bottom of which – frustratingly – give no clue to the content other than to confirm it’s a LL and that it’s either EDT or EDP. There are another couple of versions, but the bottles are not as similar. Sellers often muddle up the bottles, too – I think the external packaging is also virtually identical – there are several reviewers on Fragrantica who mention having been supplied with the wrong version!
If you are getting no coconut at all from your sample vial, it is quite possible you have been supplied the wrong one (unless the fragrance has turned), as the coconut in this is very obvious from the outset.
I have Elle L’Aime and Elle L’Aime a la Folie; the only way I can identify which is which is by spraying. There must be a design fault though, as the sprayer on BOTH has packed up working; I have ordered some bottles into which I hope to be able to decant the contents (assuming I can find a way of getting the wretched tops off – no easy task!). Once decanted I will label the bottles properly – something I really should have done in the first place.

After testing more perfumes than I can count (or want to think about) I think I finally, FINALLY found my coconut. 90% of the perfumes that list coconut as a note don’t smell at all like coconut on my skin. I adore the smell of coconut so it has been a long, frustrating hunt.
This does it. It is sweet coconut, but the lime keeps it fresh and light. Wonderful summer fragrance, refreshing, feminine, and very pretty. And it really smells like coconut!

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Hey, first I need to confess I try to avoid most sweet perfumes…especially those who have vanilla among notes. However I am glad I did not…in this case: this kind of sweetness is most pleasant and good to my skin and senses. Vanilla must be nicely overcome or at least counterbalanced by coconut, a favourite of mine and by some otherwise quite silent citruses. Quite a nice surprise, no, I should say quite a marvellous one!

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Wow,,this is a coconut I can get behind!!!! Unlike the previous reviewer my skin amps it!! And I LOVE it! Yum. Mostly toasty coconut,a bit of lime and some woods. This last forever on clothes and the coconut isn’t as prominent. What I get is a gorgeous Lolita lempicka DNA..actually kinda salty? Love this one. A real shapeshifter!
Must order backup of this scrummy perfume!!!

At first, I thought they put different fragnance in vial in perfumery, based on other reviews and my perception out of this one. Unfortunately once I smell it, my face made spontaneous yuck face, but it gets better after a while, but just slightly. Notes looks promising, but result was far below my expectations. (where is my coconut?) I am glad that I quit blind buy and no matter how I like the notes, I always try it before.
The good thing I can say about this one is, I felt it the next day and it was not as bad as initial blast of something I did not felt comfortable with.
As I can see, not all share my opinion, so it might be my chemistry or my taste, just saying, not a safe blind buy!

I love this. It is warm on me right away. A kicky vanilla with spice and boozy depth. I like coconut rum so maybe that is why I get a boozy vibe. I would wear this from spring to fall and in winter right after a shower before climbing between fresh sheets. It has a clean, exotic vacation sunset headiness. I love that it’s not all watery and washed out like a lot of scents for summer that you can barely smell. This is one I will definitely buy a stock of.

It’s so strange how our perception of a scent can change so drastically. I blind bought this perfume last year and was dissapointed. I went through almost a whole bottle using it for layering. I thought it smelled like a cheap body spray. Now with only a few sprays left in the bottle I decided to spray it on to use it up and oh wow! I love it!! It smells like a vanilla, ambery, coconut, ylang ylang dream. It’s creamy, delicious and it does not smell like a body spray any more. I get lots of coconut in the opening then gradually vanilla, sandlewood and ylang ylang take over. It smells like Bronze Goddess and Adam Levine had a baby. I love it so much now even more than Bronze Goddess and it’s so much cheaper! I’m so ecstatic that I tried it again. Amazing summer scent.

This is citrusy vanila combo. Myrr is very detectable from the very beginning, coconut appear at a later stage. I think that i can capture some ylang-ylang notes too.
Interesting scent, quite sweet and attractive. I guess that tge combination of myrr and lime mike it stand out from all others in my collection. I’ll reach for this one in the coming hot days when i’m not in the mood for light, delicate florals or summer aquatics. Nice addition to my wardrobe.

  39. :

Elle L aime is a summer stunner! For one, the lime does not overwhelm all the other notes on my skin like it seems to for some. I get this zesty lime zing followed by creamy coconut white florals and rich myrrh. This is a great oriental for summer, I don’t think I have ever smelled a scent with a myrrh note that was not really heavy. I love myrrh but it CAN overwhelm other notes. It’s nice to have a scent with myrrh that I can wear in the summer and this might be one of my favorite coconuts yet UPDATE: I think this is my perfect summer scent. the balence of everything is perfect… this works for me where eau des Vahines did not (too much ylang too little coconut) plus this one has myrrh and the silage/longevity is better. I am really starting to like and appreciate lime in fragrances if you like the lime in this one try Diesel Green feminine.

  40. :

After the first spray it starts with a sweet note which I really like, it’s a floral oriental.
I haven’t worn this for a full day so I will update after a day of wearing it, it’s quite nice and Limey sweet .
It’s lasting and wonderful. I will definitely purchase a full bottle. This is a warm woody citrus smell, I am thinking of those orange glazed Popsicles with vanilla ice cream in the middle. The sandlewood give it a nice woody base as well as some creaminess and classy expensive feel.

  41. :

    Creamy!
Not cloying, but a bit heady at first spray.
Then soft, soft and more soft… but creamy.
IMO this is a beautiful, soft, beachy type of fragrance.
The lime is the most dominant note for me, soft but mixed well with the coconut which is more of a green fresh coconut, not a pina colada type of sticky coconut.
You can definitely detect the bergamot and ylang-ylang.
The jasmine is sweet and softly swirls around the rest of the fragrances composition.
I truly think this is best described as soft and creamy.
The only drawback to this fragrance is the SOFTNESS, I cant help but wish it was louder, as it is a very fun, pretty fragrance that I wish would would SCREAM a bit more. I have found myself spraying generous amounts of it, hoping to boost its soft SEXY oomph…
I can see wearing this after a day in the sun and a cool shower. Perfect when you head back out on the beach in sandals, wrap around skirt and a off the shoulder peasant top for dinner and tropical night life.
I think it is yummy and romantic. I can just picture wearing it on bare shoulders and having my husband nuzzling in, inhaling and sharing a seductive kiss.
I am planning on packing it for a cruise this summer.
I am looking forward to wearing it for all occasions as it warms up.
Even though I like my fragrances a bit on the bold side I am addicted to this soft and creamy juice. I keep lifting my wrist to my nose to deeply inhale this soft but very sexy fragrance.
Sillage is soft 😉 and longevity is average
I may just go spray my pillows and sheets and dream of beach vacations and cruising….ahhhh, so soft and creamy.
    LOL…did I mention it is soft? 😉

On the paper is good. Fruity Sugar. On my skin become a sort of medicine, those liquid vitamins sweetened artificially. Sort of sweet-acid cherry syrup.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I like that the fragrance said aloud are my initials. That is part of the fun.
The other fun is the burst of lime on initial spray and the meaty and milky coconut that follows. This is sweet and creamy without being overbearing. After the first few hours I get the softness of the vanilla, a quiet resinous myrrh, and the warm sunscreen feel of ylang ylang as a skin scent.
This lasts about 4 hours at full strength and then up to 8 total as a skin scent. I think it smells better into the evening and is best applied in the evening.
There are a lot of beach and sunscreen scents out there but this one is probably my favorite because it doesn’t get ozonic or woody and has better longevity.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Wow. I’m often surprised when I read reviews on how different things smell on my skin.
On me this is a perfect neroli perfume supported by jasmine, ylang-ylang, lime, and myrrh. This is really surprising because typically my skin latches on to creamy scents like vanilla and coconut.
After I couple hours I do get a beachy light vanilla with a hint of citrus.
    I’m pleasantly surprised.

  45. :

Nothing new to add, as already covered this is a sunscreen perfume for the garden bars of Waikiki and Maui. Underneath, lurking beneath the sunscreen is a girly ‘True Love’ type scent but it’s generic, so call it Charlie purse spray. It has its place in our perfumed world, why would you waste your luxury fume when sunscreen and beads of perspiration dilute and transform your fragrance; this is one that will blend in anyway as it’s a bit of a mongrel in the nicest possible way. I’m using Neutrogena Beach Defence spray, a pleasant, but quite perfumey sunscreen. I love the LL bottle. Nice, but not at full price, look for a bargain

  46. :

Starts out as purely citrus and turns into a very transparent white floral with just a hint of vanilla and coconut on my skin.
Basically I smell a tuberose dominant creamy floral very reminiscent of Madonna Truth or Dare and Tom Fords Orchid Soleil but by far weaker.
If you look for a skin scent to wear in summer time and want something similar to Bronze Godess by Estee Lauder and the above mentioned you may like this.
Longevity 4 hours and sillage is close to the skin.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

I was hoping for a ton of lime with my coconut and ylang ylang. No luck…not even in the first spray. I love it anyway, but am still on the hunt for my sweet and strong lime with vanilla/coconut/ylang/tiare…
This is a ylang ylang perfume. Period. There are supporting actors, but you might miss the cameo if you aren’t paying attention. Ylang ylang creaminess ~ the sweet and creamy goodness you either hate or love ~ is here in spades.
There’s a tiny bit of myrrh in the background of the drydown, if you try to find it, and I get a *little* coconut and vanilla. But this is an intense and creamy ylang ylang perfume that goes on strong and dries down creamy and soft. It has almost no sillage, but holds onto your skin for hours.
It reminds me of CSP Fleurs des Caraibes. That one is actually more complex, but I like this one more.
If you like scents like Estee Lauder Brasil Dream, the CSP mentioned above, or Guerlain Lys Soleia, definitely try this. And the price can’t be beat!!!

I really don’t like this one on me. My skin amplifies the white florals and they completely dominate every other note. I was looking for a fragrance like a cross between Bronze Goddess and Creed Virgin Island Water. This is NOT it. This is cloying, overbearing and all heavy and very sweet white floral. Nothing fresh to me. Of course, like every fragrance, I’m sure it smells different on different people.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

This is a beautiful, creamy coconut perfume. I do not find it overbearing at all. The lime is mellowed out considerably by the ylang-ylang, neroli, and myrrh. This is definitely some creamy smelling stuff. Lasts all day on me with one squirt. The bottle is beautiful!

well, i made it past the lime and cocnut, although coconut was still hanging around a little bit, and then i started to sneeze, and sneeze and sneeze non stop so i had to wash it off. something in this fragrance has irritated my nose to the extreme but not sure what. overall, i didnt find it to be gruesome but i couldn’t give it a chance and yes, i will be giving away my sample.

I like this a lot, it makes me feel like an island princess! I went ahead and picked up the largest size so I never run out, although it probabaly won’t be an everyday perfume for me.
It’s a very interesting, unique scent. The fresh top notes are typical of something you’d find in a fleeting summer perfume, but before they can float away like a balloon, the middle-base notes pull them back to an earthy reality. The result is rather warm and long lasting (around 24 hours for me)! As a personal preference, I wish the sandalwood, jasmine and myrrh were just a little less strong, but that’s okay, since that’s kind of what makes this one of a kind.
Also, if anyone is having trouble with this scent, try spraying it on your clothes. I found it far too cloying and heavy with resin on my skin, but on my clothes I smell the coconut and lime for almost the entire duration.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. This is just plain aweful. From start to end. In a nutshell, it smells like a person who has been Baking/basking in the sun all day with sweat and BO. It’s not fresh, it’s not fruity, it’s coconut overload on a hot summers day. I gave It away…. if you like old sun tan lotion smell, then I guess you will like it. Sorry folks.

Reminds me of Versace Vanitas (which I prefer to this one, though) and also of Crystal Noir – like the lovechild of the two. In fact, it is as if Versace Crystal Noir shed its black slinky dress at sunrise and slipped into a champagne-colored sundress.

I bought l’aime by mistake instead of the other l’aime flanker which comes in brighter bottle and I tested it couple of months ago.
Lolita l’aime opens very citrusy and fresh and with dominant lime, which really disappointes me since I’m not intrested in citrus scents, but gradually lime mellows and oily ylang ylang and a soft Jasmine change l’aime from sharp citrus to creamy floral but main player aren’t florals either.
there’s a tropical salty coconuty scent in it that rounds the citrus edges but It’s far from the sweet, delicious coconut milk I was looking forward to and it’s very disappointing for me
Drydown is soft and creamy with the mentioned coconut, a non-sweet vanilla and sandalwood, more sandalwood than vanilla and light florals.there’s no myrrh with I was waiting for.I like this stage more than it’s sour lime opening or salty coconut middle notes but still it’s far from a real like.
L’aime is a soft, creamy summer scent for me in the vein of yves rocher natura souffle which I gave away..if it was sweeter with more vanilla and myrrh or if the coconut had a gourmand wibe instead of beachy, sun lotion vibe,if florals were amped up and were stronger than it’s dominant sandalwood I could die for it but now it’s just a “meh” for me.something that I’d never bought if I had tried first..on my skin it smells as if I had sprayed a summery male cologne on my skin and then I’ve applied a suntan lotion
I will keep it because I love it’s pretty 40ml bottle, gonna try it when it’s warmer and hope to see something sweeter..now(in a mild autumn day)it stays almost 6 hours on me as a skin scent after it’s first hour
    ❤❤
    Edit:
I gave it several chances and I hate it even more now.it’s nauseating and headache inducing for me.I know that I’m never going to wear it but I still like to have it just for it’s bottle.I’m going to decant it and give it away and just keep it’s empty bottle

As a lover of Lolita Lempicka fragrances, I ordered Elle L’aime as a blind buy with lots of confidence. If you’re obsessed with Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena, this is basically a high quality version of that. It doesn’t really deviate much from the original B&BW scent. In the top notes, the lime is bright and effervescent, accompanied by buttery ylang ylang flowers, which immediately gives an impression of a more tropical, feminine vibe. At first the coconut is fresh, but it starts to get warmer and creamier as the lime starts to dissipate and steps into the background. The coconut-lime cocktail is then grounded by a sensual, slightly resinous base of sandalwood. Overall, I would describe the fragrance with the word “dazzling”.
The best thing about Elle L’aime in my opinion is that it is extre
