This really smells great! I would call this a panty dropper and it’s only 20 dollars. Definitely a nice cheap buy. I give this an 8.9/10

I get wood shavings – like from a woodwork shop. Kind of nice, but don’t get why that would be worth having over other fragrances.

This was gifted to me years ago and at first I scoffed at it cause it was Ed HArdy and I absolutely hated the brand and the typical people that wore it at the time. Turns out over the years I would end up using this fragrance alot. It’s a great safe, simple fragrance that is a great buy for the price, no one would guess you’re wearing a cheapie. If this fragrance was released under lets say Lacoste or Hugo Boss just as an example example, it would be VERY successful.
I love the Amber Muskiness to it. make sure you’ve got an atomizer though because longevity isnt great and the projection could be better so you’ll have to over spray it

I previously reviewed Ed Hardy for Men but upon further review, I think I was wrong about it. To me, Ed Hardy for Men is a little bit along the lines of 1 Million Cologne. It has the gummy amber of the original 1 Million along with the mint and citrus notes, but really it is along the lines of 1 Million Cologne. It has NO similarities to Rogue Man at all, Rogue Man is vastly more complex and along the lines of The One for Men but more tropical.
Ed Hardy isn’t really strong. It only lasts 4-5 hours with an hour or so of soft to maybe moderate projection. Ed Hardy is a night scent but can be used in daytime too. It works really good in spring and fall. It is good for work or casual but due to it being a light 1 Million, it isn’t a good pick for dates (too familiar) or clubs (too light.)
Overall, I’m not really a fan of Ed Hardy. I use to own it but do not anymore. It is too simple and non-unique. There are a lot of scents that do what this do whether 1 Million and flankers or clones or even similar scents like say Burberry Brit. I originally rated this at 7.0 but now I can’t rate this higher than 6.2, a slight like for me. Nowhere near as bad as other scents I’ve smelt, but not great.

I really love Love n Luck and Villain so when I saw this online for $7 I thought I just had to give this a shot !
Sadly though this a flop ! It starts out with a really flat fresh, spicy opening that mellows out as the scent goes on as the citrus blends with the amber making this slightly more pleasant but it still isn’t a winner for me. Also just when the scent starts to become ok,it at that time is barely detectable. To my nose smells very similar to Villain but Villain is a WAY better scent as it’s drawn me compliments and is a very nice replacement for D & G the one. This is a scent that’s a hard pass for me and that’s even considering the price !
Performance on this is weak ! 2-4 hours with minimal projection
Overall score —5 out of 10 ! If your looking for a scent like this within the same price range go with either Villain or Playboy Hollywood

Opening slightly bright citrus the drydown is very soft and mellow can be worn any season the only negative is when I paint a picture in my mind of the scent it reminds me of the smell of a stuffed animal pretty weird. Aventus I get boardwalk at jersey shore,Hermes voyage d Hermes edp I get beer being drank at my fathers family party’s that vibe, sauvage I get very beautiful women doing laundry in a river and hanging the clothes in some part of Asia. Lots more but with this it’s a stuffed teddy bear I would give a gf all in all still smell pretty good

Ed Hardy for Men is a clean amber-based fragrance with a fresh spicy opening. This is generic, sweet, yet balanced. The over-the-top tackiness of the tiger bottle only adds to the weird likeability of this scent. The performance is nothing to write home about, and the fragrance itself is very unmemorable. But for a beginner ‘fume-head, I think this fragrance is actually quite good for its low price point. Because it is designed to be accessible and crowd-pleasing, Ed Hardy can be worn in any season, but I prefer it on warm autumnal days or cool summer nights. I will not repurchase this because there are bigger and better things, but I have an overall positive view of this cheapie-but-goodie.

If you liked this scent when you were younger like I did and stopped by this page to reminisce now that you’re older, I’d like to suggest Juicy Couture’s Dirty English as a more “grown-up” replacement for this scent. 😉
Ed Hardy in my opinion is a great scent though. It gets a bad rep, but if nothing else, it would make a great scent to leave in your car for times when you’re out and without cologne. Just as a backup, if nothing else. Sweet, woody, orange… I like it. I do like Dirty English better though.

Nice. My gf loves this on me in the summer. It’s fresh and masculine. Not a Hardy fan but I admit, I dig this one.

Ed Hardy for Men seems like a slightly overlooked cologne compared to Love and Luck. I’m not sure why though, its pretty good! Found it for very cheap at a discount store, and thought why not? When I first spritz this on I immediately dismissed it as too strong. Given time, though, Ed Hardy smoothed out into a warm, crisp, mint, amber smell that is perfect for winter casual wear. I had been looking for this exact type of fragrance: an accessible, versatile, casual, generic type of fragrance perfect for class, hanging out, etc. If this is all you’re looking for, this won’t disappoint. It is not terribly unique or original, but its a good all around fragrance. Longevity is average, some days its good, others days not, but not too bad. I’d recommend it. As for the bottle, it may not be to everyone’s liking, but it is unique, I’ll give it that.
Edit: This fragrance now seems a bit too strong for my liking. It is rather brash and in-your-face. Not suited for my personality at all. I will use the bottle I have, but probably won’t purchase again. Love & Luck is much better in my opinion.

Not sure what to say about this. I like it enough, its just it smells like a lot of the headache inducing late 90s sports fragrances. Nothing groundbreaking. A great cheapy I might ad though. Great for an early teenage boy that has no real taste.

Whats up fragrance lovers! Well this one is not worth any investment. I picked it up dirt cheap 13 US$. Anyhow this must be the definition of a fragrance blob. A sweet ambery fragrance, that dies in less than 3 hours, gone. I think one man show gold is a better option for this kind of smell, probably only 1 spray because it is so potent. Will sell asap because really a dud for me.

I purchased this after a review suggested it smells like D&G BY. I have yet to smell BY and may soon, but regardless I can give some input on this Ed Hardy. So I bought this for 6.99 at .25oz. This is a safe buy for that kind of money. It smells bland a little, but safe and good. I am not quiet sure about all the notes, as I am still not confident about sage. It just smells decent and good, nothing new or spectacular. I hope BY is better. What I can say is that my wife (who smells everything I wear everyday) loved it and talked about it all day. I have good skin for perfumes, and this lasted until I showered exactly 24 hours after I put it on. I only use 2 sprays of everything I wear (except CK Man, which takes 10). So this really is quality for the money. I would buy again at this price, but I may own this little guy for a long time since I prefer darker scents.

I like this, when I first spray it’s jsut a mega blast of the clary sage and the orange drops in on like a bed of the sage and it’s got a -much- lighter fahrenheit top type of vibe to me that I really like, nowhere near as strong or ‘present’ or whatnot, very light and almost like a hollow fahrenheit but really similiar to me and I like it. then the mint comes in, to me it’s spearmint, it smells just the same as wrigley’s spearmint gum just with the smell faded a bit. the orange dies down a lot to me and the amber comes in, smells like a super ‘thin’ amber to me if that makes any sense. the clary sage + (spear)mint + this kind of amber to me smells dead on like scented trash bags. The ones with the pink pull out tie things, not sure if there’s different smells but maybe since i remember blue and green ones also haha but only got the pink since i liked it. Don’t ever get musk at all on my skin. I really like this. makes me think of satin also.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

Initial notes: Mostly sage and a little something indistinctly pleasant, a little bit of a peppery smell to it. I can smell the bergamot if I concentrate, but don’t pick up any initial orange.
After about ten minutes, a spicy, woodsy note comes out.
After forty, nothing remained but a little musk and amber, close to the skin. It’s too bad about the longevity, because otherwise this is a very inoffensive and neutral anytime scent.

  16. :

Bargain bin cheapie which has a generic cold weather blend of amber and citrus with musk. I knew what I was in for, but I saw it for $10 (1.7 oz) at Marshalls and thought it couldn’t hurt for when I want to change things up in the winter (I wear mostly Encre Noire in the winter with the occasional Rochas man- but I’m not too fond of RM.) In all I’m pleased with the deal/value I get and will probably use this up for those winter sweatpants days 🙂
This is the fragrance that a teenage/college aged girl would say “Oh my gawd you smell sooooooo good you’re literally the best smelling human being in the world.” Meanwhile Katie Puckrick gives me a condescending head tilt and asks “So what are you saving up for?”
    Interesting packaging but very tacky.

For the houses 1st frag this ain’t that bad. It is not groundbreaking but I did a get a few compliments while wearing it.It’s a mellow amber/citrus mix with the amber being subtle. I have not worn it for years but happy I reached for it today. Sillage is no more than a foot with longevity maxing out at about 3 or 4 hours is the downpoint but it’s a cheapie so what would you expect?

  18. :

    5 out of 5

Just sprayed this on 15 min ago and it is literally gone. It smells the way a frag does AFTER you’ve left it on for 10 hours. Very faint and hollow. Luckily this stuff is cheap otherwise I would stay far far away from it. It’s basically aromatic water – the notes aren’t ‘real’ notes.
    3/10 – Boring.

Smells Clean and sweet, I like it.
    Decent longevity and projection.
    Love the bottle design too.

I tried this “Ed Hardy” cologne for the 1st time yesterday, upon buying a real small .25 fl bottle on impulse blind buy. It’s not that great to me. It smells similar to others out there, but not sure of all the names. Smells sort of sweet and resembles “Norwegian Wood by Kanon. I’m glad I bought a smaller bottle, but they didn’t have larger sizes anyway. I don’t think I will get another bottle in the future. It’s just not my taste.

  21. :

Not even with 10 sprays i can get a decente projection. The longevity sucks, 1 hour and it´s gone.

Fantastic fragrance love this so much very sweet love the bottle I love all Ed hardy frags but, this one is the best so far
    Good job on this fragrance

  23. :

    4 out of 5

A nice but generic vanilla and musk based scent. It tends to stay very close to the skin which may be a problem for some, but longevity is unfortunately also very poor as well. That said though if you’re looking for a pleasant but inexpensive scent that’s not going to offend anyone then this could do the job for you.

I think this fragrance, surprisingly, smells amazing on my boyfriend!
Given the outlandish packaging, I though it would be a bust. I love it though!

  25. :

This fragrance is good. Casual, fresh and pleasing. The amber and the citrus here feels sweet and safe. The longevity is 5 to 6 hours and the sillage is very good. Can’t go wrong with this Ed Hardy, even though I’m not a fan of Ed Hardy this fragrance is good. Good for a everyday use. T-shirt, jeans, this fragrance and ready to go . I really recommend Ed Hardy Men’s EDT.

A VERY pleasant smelling scent. Nothing special, but the amber and sage are quite outstanding. The drydown is powdery with a hint of musk. The longevity and projection however, are terrible. This could’ve been a great overall daytime scent but its lasting power lets it down. Works better on skin than on clothes in humidity.
Priced at 20-30$ for the big bottle online, I’d buy this over any generic Hugos or Polos any given day. A very good casual scent. This is a crowd pleaser and you can expect tons of compliment if people catch a whiff of it on you given it projects enough from your skin.

  27. :

I don’t know why people give good review to this fragant it just suck !! It’s cheap the longevity it’s the worst !!! Don’t waste your money on this really

This does smell very warm and pleasant. The sage and mint are too prominent for me, a female, to wear as-is; however with Ed Hardy Love Kills Slowly layered over it it, the spices cut the sweetness of LKS, and LKS considerably enhances the Ed Hardy Black. It’s a much more adult scent.

    Mysterious Boy Next Door
I am bias when it comes to musky scents.
And this is kind of a musky with a touch of spice.
I love how it makes me feel like a boy next door with a little mystery on the side.
I am not a fan of Ed Hardy, but this is so far the best scent ever.
I also tried Love & Luck, and it is also good.
Just a small tip: Apply a fragrance free lotion on your pulse points before applying the cologne. The projection will be amazing! I get tons of compliments with this guy.
I also love the versatility of this cologne. I can wear it on school, movie nights, afternoon ice cream with friends, and I can still rock this. It doesn’t matter what season you are going to wear this, so my advice is buy a big bottle.

Ed Hardy for Men is a very safe, simple and musky fragrance that despite its bombastic packaging that screams loud and obnoxious; is really quite reserved and inoffensive. The opening is fresh and citric but with a very light touch. The bergamot and mandarin take a step back and blend with the sage in a way that effectively mutes the stronger citric elements. The mint middle never really comes forth, most likely a victim of the stronger amber and musk of the base rushing forward with impatience, destroying any possibility of evolution in Ed Hardy Men very quickly into initial application.
From about the five-minute mark onwards, Ed Hardy Men becomes a musky, heavy amber scent with just a touch of bergamot and mandarin. There is a hint of woods buried underneath that only shows itself every once in awhile. It remains linear completely to the end and leans toward a skin scent, settling in and losing projection rather quickly after the first hour of wear. Longevity is a fairly consistent three to five hours on most.
Its best asset is its incredible versatility. Ed Hardy Men is suitable for any season, any climate and any occasion. It seems to have been designed with everyday use in mind and for the non-descript wearer Ed Hardy Men is a serviceable and reliable fragrance that covers all its bases at once.
Inoffensive, rather generic and heavy on the musk, Ed Hardy Men is best suited for those thirty and under looking for something casual, inoffensive yet decent enough to fit any occasion at moment’s notice. In my view, this is the perfect college fragrance for those on the go. This should be avoided by those looking for more complexity or artistic inspiration, as Ed Hardy Men prides itself on a rather generic essence that offers little evolution or complexity. Also may be too musky and amber laden for allergy sufferers, so do beware. It can be found at reduced prices in many department stores and though not something unique or noteworthy, Ed Hardy Men is a nice everyday wear that works perfectly for the novice or the wearer who prefers not to think too deeply about scents. For these reasons Ed Hardy Men must be given credit as an excellent mainstream release for the masses and because of its versatility, definitely succeeds in ways most mainstream releases only dream of. Because of its success and simplicity, Ed Hardy Men has also been an easy target for knock-offs, with a rather synthetic and spicier Preferred Fragrance interpretation and a pretty accurate reproduction by Belcam called Clash sold at most Walmart locations. Given how heavily discounted and over abundant Ed Hardy Men gift sets have become, you may have success finding a large set with body wash and aftershave balm for under $40.

Ed Hardy, what can I say? Your masculine fragrances just aren’t my cup of tea. I’ve tried to appreciate the Ed Hardy brand, and I’m talking in terms of his fragrances because his clothing is not well known in Australia. For some reason, his fragrances to my nose smell cheap, despite their popularity. Ed Hardy for Women was the only fragrance of his that I’ll admit to liking.
In the initial stages Ed Hardy for Men is a little sharp, especially in regards to the citrus accords. There’s a strange ozonic quality in there too, that when blended with the mint, (or mint julep accord as Gypsy Parfumista has corrected), creates such a strange and somewhat awkward blend.
The scent continues in its sharp and ozonic nature through to the heart, where the sage and woods attempt to turn this fragrance into something spicy in hopes of giving it that sexy edge. Personally I think the citrus and spices clash too loudly.
The only pleasing aspect to my nose was the drydown, which turned ambery and soft. It was a little generic however, which turned me off it as a result.
Lasting power is so-so, as is the sillage, even though it comes on strong in the opening. I’ll say that Ed Hardy for Men is masculine, but not something that I would personally enjoy smelling on a man.

I got this Cologne as a gift and it has a herbal citrusy smell. Pretty good but it doesn’t last on my skin more than 2 to 3 hours.. Not a fan of Ed Hardy clothing wise, but this scent is pretty good. Not anything special or out of the ordinary but still pretty good..

  36. :

Ed hardy is a contemporary and modern type of fragrance house and they blend exotic woods and spices, modern outdoorsy notes and exotic materials and balance it out to make a modern smelling fougere and they are so good that its hard to distinguish particular notes because it is all so well blended together and compliments the scent pyramid

I have been testing several, several clognes in the past few months and this one is probably one of my favorites, surprisingly, aside from chanel allure homme…this one’s in a league of its own. but it is just the perfect spicyness for me. Compared to CK Euphoria Intense, The One by D&G, it is just a tad more masculine to my taste and less almost-dessert like. YSL L Homme is similar but has ginger in it. This one seems to project beautifully but longevity i haven’t thoroughly tested. Its srtong for at least 4 hours, afters it gets quieter.
I’ve seen a lot of comments saying it’s nothing original, same old. I disagree as I have never smelled omething soo well balanced, a semi sweet scent yet keeps staying masculin. I somone can tell me what this is simlar too, espcially a cheap cologne, I would definitely like to try it.

One of the best scents out there. Simply wonderful and I had many compliments with this one. A treasure for sure! It has even been my signature scent for work. Love it!!

Oh good Lord, ya’ll. Quit crapping on this cologne simply because you hate the clothing. I’m not a huge fan of the other scents from the line, but Ed Hardy Black is a great, spicy seductive scent. The longevity is fair (around 4 hours) and the dry down is a nice, slightly thick man scent. I like it a lot. Granted, I liked its cousin, Christian Audigier, a little better, but it’s still a solid fragrance that’s a great change of pace scent.

Young, clean and fresh smell but very generic.

  41. :

    Orange woody sweetness.
Just like Boss Orange not my cup of tea.
This is worse even: musk always gives me a headache.
Already done years ago by Chanel Allure in a much much better way. I’ll pass…
    4/10

  42. :

    4 out of 5

What so funny about this scent is that ive tried it about 7 times since it appeared, trying to wrap my head around its success.
I found this to be the single most overrated scent in sight. ” Guess what; Ed Hardy and Christian Audiger came out with a crappy cologne to go with their stupid t-shirts!”
But, I’ve been making efforts to not be a hater lately, so on my sixth test of this fragrance I was pleasantly surprised. A slight sharpness, a sweetness, a softening, then musk. A masculinity, a body of pride and a polite smile.
    The seventh match, evenly matched.
Tests 1-5; This and Love’n’luck were the two biggest wastes of chemicals I’ve come across. All I got was a musky citrus funk reminiscant of no-name brand underarm deodorant.
That’s changed for this scent, and I dont know if the first 5 tests we from 5 different tainted bottles, it grew on me, they’ve changed the formula of the scent in a positive manner, and I still hold to generic factor, but it’s definitely worth trying and a cheap purchase for the office.

    @ArkangeL:
Here is a more complete notelist from Ed Hardy-
TOP: mandarin, bergamot, clary sage, thuja*
    HEART: mint JULEP accord**, ozone
    BASE: sequoia redwood, amber, musk
*thuja=a genus of coniferous (cone-bearing) evergreen trees in the cypress family, 5 subspecies exist (3 in North America and 2 in Asia); they are also called arborvitae (Latin for “tree of life”, ironically some are toxic if eaten…).
** a mint julep is a blend of fresh mint (usually spearmint), sugar, water and bourbon (imagine a mojito with whiskey and less mint)
    Hope this helps! 🙂
