Not a review for this fragrance (I heard of it, and never had a chance to test spray it, unless I have to blind buy it. To be honest, if it was not because of the cucumber note, I would blind buy it for my husband. He just doesn’t like cucumber).
I perfectly accept the fact that many frags are not appreciated so much by public, based on the majority votes of TRUE testers/users. However, I have a strong feeling that the “dislike” bar on this page may not be an accurate or a “reliable” source for review readers. I also have seen “dislike” bars like this one appear on other frag’s pages as well. And that is a sad thing 🙁

I got a bottle of this used off eBay. I’m wearing it as I write this review and I really enjoy it. The smell of cucumber is unique and smells great mixed with the pepper and spicy initial smell. I have had it on for a few hours now and I smell the vetiver more. Its not too strong and I like that. I own three Fragrances from Donald Trump and this is my 2nd favorite behind Empire.
I’m wearing it for a second day now and I will be buying another bottle because I believe it might not be made anymore. One other thing I noticed while spraying it on today is that it comes out as more of a mist than a tiny spray like most of my fragrances. Again, I bought it used so might just be this bottle.
Update: I bought another bottle of the bigger size. I really like this and wear it once or twice a week.

Cucumber is an odd note and it’s usually paired with fresher notes as in Polo Blue,Eternity Aqua and Wall Street. The opening is very brash and harsh. It can de downright nauseating to some. After that it’s a bunch of light spices but basil sticks out to me like a sore thumb. If you like spicy basil scents then this might be for you.

Ignore the massive amount of downvotes that had nothing to do with the product itself. This is a very, very good fragrance, and quite honestly, there’s probably never been a better time to buy it if you want to get a great price.
This is a spring or summer fragrance, in my opinion, and it does something rather remarkable: it manages to be a light and fresh scent without relying on either heavy citrus OR heavy aquatic notes, the way most fresh scents seem to lean towards one or the other.
The opening is a fresh burst of peppery cucumber water, very much reminiscent of Aramis Surface, or even Kenneth Cole Reaction (much closer to the former than the latter, though). There is some light minty citrus in the background, and just a touch of grassy vetiver at the base to give this juice a foundation, but the predominant bouquet throughout the cycle of the scent is fresh cucumber and spicy pepper.
The projection is above average, and even on warm summer days, the longevity is in the 8-10 hour range, so you’re definitely getting some bang for your buck on this one.
Stick a different label on it if you have to, but don’t miss out on this really solid fragrance.

I haven’t smelled this and I probably won’t but some of the the comments are priceless (FYI they are supposed to be reviews). The Hitler-Trump analogy being the most uneducated, dumbest of all. C’mon people, study some history! haha… I love how Trump is capable of making people show their true colors.

Let me start this review with a brief personal note about myself. I did not vote for Donald Trump and I’m definitely not a fan. But when it comes to celebrity fragrance, how I personally feel about the celebrity is irrelevant. So for me wearing this has nothing to do with MAGA or how I feel about Trump or his most zealous supporters. I happen to like this fragrance. The bottle design is similar to Estee Lauder For Men and the scents are quite alike. This one is a weaker alcoholic and ‘cheaper’ version of Estee Lauder for Men which is far more opulent and complex.
Donald Trump opens with a fresh citrus that is very common stuff for cologne intro top notes. The freshness is lemony and recalls fresh lemony aftershave. The mint is also detectable and the green notes. After the sharp citrus dissipates the scent begins to play it’s notes. The notes that are prevalent throughout are spices and woods. But it also has equal parts green notes. So it smells aromatic and spicy but lacking in notes that might have given it some depth or color like florals (lavender at least come on) or musk/incense/sandalwood it seems very flat and linear. It’s simple and easy to wear and not far from smelling like a nice laundry detergent.
The scent has a short life and seems only suited to a nice morning at the office, very casual, very clean. It’s quite innocent and youthful. This is not evocative of the 71 year old Donald Trump as he is today Tweeting away his random thoughts. This is a younger Donald Trump in the 1970s or 1980s when he had big brick sized cell phones and was making real estate deals on hotels and Trump Towers in Manhattan inside his limousines while being driven around NYC.
So if you think that because it has the Trump name that it’s a powerful alpha male big boss aroma you’re wrong. This is a good first cologne for a young man 18 19 20 and has a very simple formula of citrus spice and wood. The sillage/longevity is weak and can be detected only from close up. Smells good after you’re shower and when you are just finished putting on your suit and tie. Then spritz this on your collar or neck or wrists and you’re good to go. Smells optimistic bright green and citrusy, clean, safe and polite, even gentlemanly. I don’t think Trump is a gentleman but his cologne is for gentlemen.

Sounds as a fresh, anti-oriental frag.
When will Donald Trump Trump be available in eastern Europe?

I’m going to do something different here. I’m going to review this fragrance! LOL
So let me start by how I encountered this fragrance. In 2009 during a trip to Las Vegas I stayed at the huge Trump International Hotel. They were selling this cologne at their store. I thought the bottle’s design and theme was based on the Trump Towers in Manhattan New York and the ‘gold’ look of the hotels in general. I was with a now ex-girlfriend at the time. She picked up the bottle (a tester) and sprayed it on me spontaneously out of the blue. I chuckled. Then I got to smelling the scent and liked it.
Starts off with a minty citrusy scent, very fresh, nothing unusual and very typical of most citrusy openings to men’s colognes. Then there’s a distinctive green basil and cucumber note, vegetable, grassy, somewhat reminiscent of wasabi or watercress. The whole time though it comes through in a very watered down and light mist. It’s not an aggressive or powerful scent. I was expecting a more masculine ‘retro’ 1980’s type of cologne for men, you know, like Drakkar Noir, or Tsar Van Cleef & Arpels, or a mature man’s cologne like Polo Green. But no. The top notes and the heart said it all. It’s a modern young man’s cologne. It’s not suggestive of Donald Trump but his sons Don and Eric, young guys with a lot of money and a lot of responsibilities, managing an international brand and business, wearing suits and smelling of a citrusy woodsy scent.
The heart is spicy but not too spicy with ginger and pepper. The spices are not the main ingredients and the heart is actually quite weak. For me the scent is citrusy and fresh, green, minty, watery (but not heavily aquatic) and becomes dry after sometime. The dry down is mostly woodsy notes. There’s very little in the way of musk. The woodsy notes are also paired with vetiver. The combination of green notes and woods make it a modern chypre but it’s not as traditional or as old fashioned as chypres I’ve worn. This is a clean, fresh, and easy to wear scent.
I was underwhelmed but I liked it. It’s pleasant and very urban, without being one of those hip nightclub scents. It’s not sexy, not a pheromone, panty dropper, not complex but also not too linear. It has mostly green notes and woods. The scent can be worn by men of any age but it seems better suited to guys in their 20s or 30s. This can be worn with clean freshly laundered suits dress shirts ties slacks and or polo shirts and slacks. It has a ‘male socialite’ even playboy ish air but it’s casual and relaxed. It can even be worn when you go out sailing on a yacht or sailboat (if like Trump you have one) and or to play golf (if like Trump you play golf) and it’s summery and perfect for the hot weather and warm climates like South Florida, Miami, Palm Beach (where Trump has his Mar A Lago estate). So yes the Donald is all over this cologne.
I can tell why Trump would have put his brand on this cologne. That being said it’s nothing impressive or mind blowing, nothing daring or revolutionary in fragrance. It smells like a copy of a cologne that is surely out there or has been out there for years but I can’t put my finger on which one. Perhaps something like CK One with more woods and some spices, or a more watered down Chanel Pour Monsieur. A guy friend of mine who smelled it on me the other day said it is a dupe for Estee Lauder For Men. But I don’t know as I have never worn it.
Generally I like it. It’s a good introduction to cologne for young men. The girl I was with loved this fragrance on me and she thought it was sexy. It’s not the alpha male cologne one would have expected from the name but it’s not cheap or gross either. It’s just a clean scent.
Because it has no florals it’s definitely for men but perhaps a gender bending gal might wear it as it does have some notes that women like in their perfumes like citrus, cucumber and spice/woods. This is a fragrance I wear in the summer time and I do have a house in Florida so I like to wear it when I’m down there. Thank God Hurricane Irma is gone and my home and business is intact in West Palm Beach!

Come on people grow up. This is not a polical soap box. I think the monitors / creators should get of non non fragrance reviews. Reviews are taken down for others much less offensive issues. Keep ur awesome site free of politics monitors. Shake my head at the members that can’t be grown ups and stuck to the topic of fragrance. Sad

It’s sad that we can’t get a true understanding for this fragrance because of people’s politics and hatred. Don’t call yourself a man or a woman if you’re acting like a child.

Is this fragrance good? I will tell you, Trump has the best fragrances. He has a great relationship with the fragrance industry – the best. This fragrance will change your life, I guarentee it. If you buy this fragrance, Mexico will pay for it. They will, trust me. It’s that good. The best part of it, is that it’s named after him: Trump. And success is like his middle name, obviously. If people were wearing this fragrance back in the day, there would be no civil war. People would be too busy smelling each other and grabbing each other by the pussy. People not liking this are people working for the dishonest media. Fake news. Don’t listen to those losers. They’re probably Jeb Bush fans who wear boring and really, really bad – terrible colognes, like the fragrance from that rock band Creed Aventus and that Dior Hummus Intense thing. The worst. Those losers smell really really bad. Get this instead. You will be very happy.
    1000/10.

Since my previous review of this was censored, I will restate my opinion euphemistically. There have been hundreds of fly-by-night companies putting out fragrances that have capitalized on celebrity, trendiness and fads in pursuit of the proverbial fast buck. All of this merchandising relies on the gullibility and malleability of the fragrance-obssessed buyer. The scent itself seems almost an afterthought to these carpetbaggers whose goal is to snooker us by selling generic and inferior knock-offs of more prestigious and noteworthy perfumes. While you may be seduced by the deceptively delightful aroma this cheap tonic exudes, it represents the worst that afflicts us as celebrity worshippers, and hapless, non-critical consumers.
Purchase this, if you will, at inflated prices, but I will stick to Guerlain, Prada, Givenchy, Ferre, et. al. where real integrity still thrives.

@ Mysterio – In the five years I’ve been on Fragranitca, I’ve written a total of two negative reviews and I only have two fragrances on my dislike shelf.
    You have 35.
I’m sorry if my review offended you. I just think a little humor makes the world a brighter place.

I used to own a 50ml bottle of this. To be honest, it ain’t a bad fragrance. There are some aspect of its scent that reminded me of 3 perfumes: Chanel Platinum Egoiste, Nautica Voyage and a sweeter Estée Lauder Lauder for Men (base). It is not as groundbreaking as these two perfumes (N.Voyage excluded) but as a cheapie, this is good, fair and nice. In fact, it is a pleasant and decent smell that may even earn compliments. I like its dry down, even better than some designer frags out there. Great for fall and winter, office, formal and outdoor.

    An honest take:
Nothing new here but not bad.
Very fresh, very clean, in the same vein as cheap freshies like Nautica Voyage….almost like Marc Ecko Blue and Polo Sport had a baby that wants to be a shower gel that hangs out with Nautica Voyage when it grows up.
Probably every bit as good as the above mentioned fragrances, “for whatever that’s worth”, and if you like those….this is probably for you.
Interesting that the order of the most prevalent notes listed are “spicey notes, pepper, woody notes, and Vetiver”. If you are searching for a spicy/woodsy fragrance this is definitely NOT it! There are other ways to protest guys….keep it honest
Cucumber, watery notes, basil, a bit of mint. This is a Summertime fragrance and probably is best suited for day/outdoor use. Performance isn’t abysmal for the price.
    Bottom line:
Not bad for what it is or its price point….just don’t expect anything groundbreaking

I do not get the bottle being the same as Lauder for Men. The smell is not similar; so not sure why the bottle is. Did EL have anything to do with this or is the bottle coincidence?

Donald Trump The Fragrance is a very green, cooling and refreshing scent for summer. Cucumber is most noticeable, with a cool touch of mint. Spices are well balanced, not heavy at all. I can easily smell black pepper, ginger and basil, well blended with very masculine woods. Citruses are smooth, understated, not sharp.
The total effect is cooling, but not cold, due to an underlying warmth from the spices and woods. Gives the wearer an energetic, bright, clean and uplifting aura. Strong but not offensive, pleasant and crisp. Fine for office wear, sports wear, gatherings, or on a summer date.
Projection is moderate for about 3 hours, then settles close to skin for another 5 hours, easily.

DTTF is best described as an improved version of Polo Blue. It’s a spicy cucumber and citrus fragrance, without the vinegary astringency of Polo Blue. It’s smoother and less synthetic smelling than Polo Blue. Plus, it lasts a lot longer than Polo Blue.
No, DTTF isn’t original, but is a good scent nonetheless. I like it.
    My rating: 7.5/10
