Completely masculine, not a single hint of rose.I’m sure it’s in there, though it is completely overwhelmed by the leather and wood. To call this a floral is a joke. The first spray is pungent and absolutely horrid. Smells like a nose full of cigar ash. As it dries down, it gets better, but I have already had someone ask me if I was a smoker. So thanks, but no thanks.

At last! A rose that is exactly what it says on the bottle; dark. With thorns and all. Not sugary, not fruity, not mixed with another hundred floral notes. If this is your rose you shouldnt miss it. It opens up spicy and the woody note at this stage releases a rather spirited freshness that lasts only a few minutes. From then on it goes to develop smooth, smoky with an animalic vibe. Like a rose tucked in a man’s leather jacket, a rose he picked for his lover that still bears traces of his woody scent and his last Cuban cigar. Yes, it is a masculine rose so if you are after anything girly and frou frou avert your eyes. Not for the faint hearted which is one of the reasons I love this line. Thank you Sven for your generosity and for creating a Rose after my own heart. Full of passion, character, aroma and personality!
