I bought this to wear on holiday to Centerparcs as I love having a new fragrance to associate and connect with the memories.
I think this fits well; I wear it wandering around the forest, crisp bright cold days, cosy evenings in the nice warm wooden lodge.
It would probably suit closer to Christmas but I think it’s good for October+
I mainly get a huge blast of cloves …. very festive. Also cinnamon.
It doesn’t seem to last as long as some of the other CDG’s I have.
I sprayed it in the bedroom with my toddler today and he started coughing and spluttering so from that, I’d say use sparingly!!

Comme des Garcons White is the best and most wearable fragrance from the whole Comme des Garcons line.
When I smell it I get the imagination of white ash.
Time to time I get a bubblegum accord out of it.
Buxton typical flowers are mixed with spice and red pomegranate.
Projection is withing 8 hours moderate, then the fragrance is only recognizeable from the spot.

This is the absolute exact capture of the smell of a swedish traditional christmas beverage. It’s sweet, full, cloying, cosy, seriously unik – exacly like our christmas drink. The drink it self are to many people too sweet to drink, you kind of sip it slowly. But it still might be too much for you. As is this perfume, it’s simply too much. I would like to “sip” it and see how I like it then.. In a minimal dose. If applied normal, it’s simply too much. It’s sickening. I do love the warm X-mas feeling, but it’s just not enough.

Its opening is beautiful and bewitching, almost medicinal… And then, a cute fruity note, very sweet.
But after 10 minutes… Nothing. Nothing at all.
Really not for me, next. But try it, I bet it could be marvelous on an appropriate skin.

Opening is very spicy with clove and cinnamon, very intense and strong … Soon the scent calms down and something fruity and dry, kinda bittersweet appears to balance (I believe here we have the Pomegranate).
After awhile, we get cedarwood, making the base of the scent…
Then, a sweet dry on finale.
Very good.

Intensive duet of cloves and cardamom shows up right after spraying. Later on the hint of pepper and nutmeg comes into play. I appreciate the whole composition that works great on my skin. It lasts long. The sillage is just great. And there is no specific sharpness as in Comme des Garcons – Comme des Garcons as some compare these fragrances.

Cloves + Cardamom = powerful spicy combination with a great sour pomegranate, nutmeg, cinnamon background. By the way, this is totally a UNISEX fragrance and should not be listed as female!

First I didn’t smell anything and was ready to discard it. Then suddenly I started hearing a wonderful bedtime story, very calming but interest enough not to fall asleep.
I really do enjoy this one and call me nuts but whenever I smell my sprayed arm I think of the color white! This is actually how white color should smell..
Warm unobtrusive cinnamon with some gentle trees in the background drew by a little child.

Very similar to the original CdG “Commes des Garcon” by Buxton that was released a year earlier, but without so much of the overtly wierd pickled-honey note that seemed to dominate and keep one on edge. If you want to work your way up to the original, this is the place to start. Here that particular facet is smoothed out with more prominent notes of cinnamon and clove. Expect a sweaty opening of coriander that quickly dries down to a nice sweet tiger balm vibe, ala Heeley’s Esprit du Tigre. Slightly medicinal? Yes, but it’s unique and it’s good. You almost feel this warm and cold sensation at the same time. A unisex fragrance for sure (incorrectly labled for women only above, which is extremely annoying, they seem to do this often on here). Highly recommended. There is a reason why this is still available at Barney’s considering it was created back in ’94. Four out of 5 stars. A nice balanced blend of longevity and sillage to match.

Another Comme Des Garcons I’ve been using for quite a while in the past. An extremely exotic concoction of cinnamon, other spices (a lot of) on a woody/floral/fruity base. The whole fragrance has the typical CDG’s incensey signature, but here it’s drastically toned down to intentionally become barely perceptible. It’s more like an overall vibe than a real note/accord.
Intense, important and very very (very) distinctive. One of the best and most influential compositions by Mr Buxton. A personal favorite!

This smells like Christmas! It reminds me of home-made pomanders for yule, oranges spiked with cloves and broken bits of cinnamon stick, sprinkled with vanilla sugar and hung on a very big, very real fir tree.
Delicious, and unchanging too, lasts a long time. Why wouldn’t I buy it? Because it lacks a personal chemistry for me; it smells like a really nice midwinter air freshener. Very cheerful, pleasant on my skin completely unobjectionable, but not captivating.
