Comme des Garçons has launched the project Parfums Series 2000. Fragrances of each of the lines are united around the common topic.
In 2004, Comme des Garçons have again declared war to natural components and launched the next series of anti-perfumes, Series 6 Synthetic. The smells of a big city are captured in a transparent plastic bottle in which you can observe a garbage bag. Everyone finds something familiar, and even dear, in it, just as we like the strange smells of our childhood.
Dry Clean is created for fans of clean odors. This is for sure the cleanest of all existing fragrances. This fragrance of ideal cleanliness is so natural for us whose brain is fed with information that we have to kill all known germs with Domestos, clean all around us with Mr. Proper, and shake hands only after we washed our hands with SafeGuard soap bar. So, Dry Clean smells like freshly ironed laundry, and like clothes just brought from the dry cleaner’s. The perfume combines notes of ozone, nail polish, nail polish remover, metal, rose oxide, Guaiac wood and bay leaf.

Fortunately, I was able to snag a bottle of this fragrance (which happened to be laying around in a C.D.G. shop…miraculously!?!?) with the help of a friend who lives half way across the globe. Imagine the smell of a freshly chlorinated swimming pool, now think of Downy liquid fabric softener. The strong smell of dissolvents and synthetic chemicals (nail polish remover?) connected to these notes sounds scary but somehow it all works wonderfully. Incredibly CLEAN and super attractive. Such a shame that this is discontinued which makes my bottle even more precious 🙂

Thake Odeur 53, push it to the limit and you’ll get Dry Clean. A bizarre concoction of non-smells that actually smell quite bold. Bright and aldehydic, almost lungs expanding, kinda woody and with a strong steam iron accord. The fragrance has an overall synthetic chemical detergent vibe (trichloroethylene?) that smells exactly like your favorite gabardine suit when you get it wrapped in plastic from the dry cleaner’s. For abstract, strange, conceptual and futuristic fragrance lovers only.
Careful with dosage, this stuff has a tenacious lasting power and quite a strong presence. Better worn of fabric.
By all means Comme Des Garcons.

Undoubtedly it is the best after Odeur 53 scent from CdG! Smell of ideal cleanliness with metal smack:-) Perfectly sounds after a rain! It not to describe, it it is necessary to try:-)

Probably the most feminine of the series as it driven by cool aldehydic florals. It doesn’t seem to develop much on the skin but it does last quite well. Chemical paradise is an accurate description.
