I love finding these at T.J. Maxx for under $5.00 !
They remind me of Demeter fragrances: fresh, natural and very light.
This smells like coconut ice cream . GREAT to satisfy your “blind buy” itch with these !!!!!!

Not sweet at all, doesn’t last long. Good for layering

Very sweet at first, but the sweetnes lingers off quite quickly. If you prefer a tropical coconut over a dry more sophisticated one (like I do

Smells like coconuts, and other nuts. Not as flat and liner as one would think.
For $4.99 at T.J. Mushnixx, am I gonna complain ?

Coconut – body spray in glass bottle
    Fresh, fresh coconut, clean.
Good value, and good longevity. This is a clear winter day test, sprayed on arm around 10 am, it’s now 4 pm and this is a skin scent.
There is an edt available and I sssume it will last longer than this one. Still for the purposes of layering or just having an inexpensive fragrance; thumbs up

Really nice smell.I also have Early-Harvest raspberry , Chocomania (chocolate), and glazed Apple ,and from all of those , this one is one of my favourites. though it has a vanilla note and something else that kinda makes it syntheticy, but apart from that , it’s good.

I use this perfume as an everyday work perfume. I have had a few coworkers mention that they smell coconuts in a positive way. It was described as an uplifting summer scent by one coworker. It smells exactly as you would expect. Like a crisp clean coconut, not too sweet. There is nothing artificial or overpowering about the scent. It just smells like a coconut. Lasts an acceptable amount of time. Great daytime scent.

I have the body mist TBS coconut
Real coconut scent, creammy yummy , sadly poor longevity but it can improve a little wearing also coconut body lotion . I use it only for summer which also improve a little the duration on my skin.
Wearing it I feel smooth and exotic and cozy. (What a mix!)
So perhaps the EDT it’s a good choice for some one that find it a bit overwhelming.
Ah and it got nothing to do with cocconut passion (that is mostly vainilla) another favorite of mine, that I also owned and use daily.
I read that some here said it is strong like Shalimar, really ? So I have to try it

This is a lovely coconut scent. It’s sweet like candy in the beginning but it turns more nutty after a few minutes. It’s nice and creamy. I like it!

Lovely tropical coconut EDT. Many have noticed smelling something in addition to just coconut, like vanilla. There is a sweetness to this scent. I went on the Body Shop website and found out that there is an additional note besides coconut, and that is Community Trade sugarcane essence from Brazil. So there ya go! This stuff is very affordable and high quality, a really delicious summer scent.

I love the scent of juicy, ripe, sweet fruit. However, if this is what a delicious coconut truly smells like, then I guess that coconuts are NOT my cup of tea. This fragrance smells like a combination of baby powder and rotten bananas. At first sniff, I picked up a bottle because it smelled warm and sweet. However, within a week, it became extremely sickly and nauseating.

I love this. It opens with a guilty pleasure solvent/nail polish note (you’ll know if this appeals to you) and then morphs into a lovely, dry, woody coconut. No vanilla coconut body spray action in this one, nor sun lotion. No sir. Almost smells like lacquered wood. Gorgeous.

Yes! YES! and YES! Ticks all the boxes! It is what is is, a creamy coconut scent!
I do however notice something that most do not, if you have ever seen coconut being skinned you may have gotten a smell of the coconut husk. The husk smells different when the coconut is young and then again completely different when the coconut matures and the outer husk dries. When the husk dries we get something called coir which is often used to make ropes and matting. It has a dry woody smell with hints of coconut which I suspect is part of the composition either by choice or by mistake!!
Most coconut fragrances either smell like coconut, coconut oil, coconut milk or coconut water. They all smell different!!! This smells like coconut with a dash of dry coconut husk and maybe just a little bit of coconut cream! The dry coir note in this makes it unique to all the other coconut scents and I absolutely love it! I recommend wearing it as a winter fragrance because of its rich and creamy texture. I like wearing it in summer but it can become cloying and heady so I try not to.

Smells like natural coconuts. Not kidding. There is nothing desecrated or artificial about the way it smells. Scent is fine, perfectly natural, perfectly inoffensive. Really beautiful coconut smell. In terms of scent I’d rate it more highly than the bodyshop grapefruit body spray or other body sprays. Not because I’m partial to coconut (and I’m not), but because it is just a nice, natural-smelling and well-rounded scent. It’s not too sharp in places, not too awkward, not too zingy. Not out of balance or anything. It is the most natural and fulfilling smell in the bodyshop I find. If you love coconut (by itself), you’ll love this. I’ve only tried the bodyspray but I imagine the perfume would be more potent and last longer.

TBS Coconut is a very nice soft, smooth, creamy and sweet coconut scent. I have also a little bottle of the matching shower cream (very concentrated). The edt is great after a shower to relax after a day’s work or on a weekend for relaxing at home. Lovely comfort scent.

Went in to buy this one to layer with other fragrances. I was expecting pure, fresh, uplifting coconut or something reminiscent of tanning lotion/sunscreen and that’s definitely not what I got from this. The coconut is bogged down, sweetened up and cluttered by other notes. Aside from coconut, I get vanilla, sugarcane, and a nondescript fruitiness. I find this way too heavy, sweet and cloying for the summer and heat. Definitely a pass for me.

  17. :

Suntan lotion a-go-go! Suntan lotion with a tooon more sillage! I made the mistake of spraying two full sprays on myself (these Body Shop atomizers can make some pretty big sprays) and I might as well have sprayed two big sprays of Coco or Shalimar or something on myself, it really took an hour or two to mellow down. Wasn’t expecting that. Use a light hand at first and see how you feel about it.
If you’re looking for a beachy summer scent for when you’re covered in sweat this is a nice one, but personally I’d prefer to use this layered on another fragrance to amplify a coconut note rather than wear it alone. I don’t want to smell like sticky juice, that’s basically what it is.

  18. :

    Lovely coconut!
It IS a simple fragrance, however, as simple as it is, it is the loveliest, simplest coconut fragrance I have found.
I’ve rebought this one soooooo many times.

  19. :

I had seriously forgotten how much I love this little beauty. A wonderful sweet, milky coconut scent, rich and warm and just incredibly edible and inclined to make me want to sniff myself all day. Not at all sickly, like some gourmands, but simply delicious. Perhaps with some unlisted vanilla. And a huge compliment getter.
Perfect hot weather perfume, alone or layered with Pink Grapefruit.
Doesn’t last all that well on the skin, but spray it on the top of your dress/blouse and hair and you’ll be in coconut heaven all day.

After being tired of the many accumulated coconut themed fragrances in my current and past collections,i recieved this in my stocking.
It is sweet and has a suntan lotion coconut vibe. I like this kind.
I use virgin unrefined coconut oil for my hair,as a makeup remover and (on occasion my entire body). The reason why i don’t use it daily is because the scent of all-natural-virgin-unrefined coconut oil smells of greasy, oily and unwashed hair to me.
If anything i don’t want my coconut fragrances being too “natural” or linear even in the coconut water sense because that is quite bland.
The hardened coconut flesh that can be found in the hairy eyed coconuts is more this perfumes speed, which i prefer over the juicy coconut.
This is much better than the discontinued BBW Coconut from 2005-2006 which smelled like someone is in the room with major swamp ass issues to me due to the added chocolate and vanilla. Although BBW’s Exotic Coconut was more like the fresh fleshy coconut which i love.

Standard flat coconut. That’s all it is, no other notes. If you like plain coconut like me then you’ll like this.
It’s exactly the same as the body spray apart from you pay more and get less in the bottle (hint hint – don’t get this perfume, get the body spray for half the price and you will get over triple the amount than in the perfume).
Don’t do what I would and spray too much so you smell like you’re drunk on Malibu like I would when I had this at uni. Whoops. Unless you like that vibe or you’re just a drunk student who likes Malibu too much…

  22. :

    3 out of 5

Like most of the Body Shop fragrances, you get what you paid for. Some say it smells “cheap”. I rather say this one is a fairly priced “inexpensive” one.
I will review both the EDT and the Body Mist here, since I own both (and everything else from the coconut range, not only because of the smell, but because my skin really likes being moisturised with coconut). Both products are simple and linear, but they don’t smell alike at all to my nose. Just different takes on the same theme (guess what? coconut).
Coconut EDT smells like coconut, of course, but not only the flesh, there is a dry and earthy component in the composition that makes me think of coconut shells. It’s like you break a coconut in the middle, let the water out (if there is any inside, since usually “hairy” coconuts don’t have too much water inside. Coconut water is usually extracted while they are “green”) and sniff right where the flesh and the shell join each other. Doesn’t project too much and lasts well, specially if layered with other coconut products.
The Body Mist doesn’t have the coconut shell vibe, just the flesh and some extra sweetness, probably due to the use of sugarcane alcohol. On my skin, it projects much better than the EDT but it is also less realistic. Longevity is still great for a body mist and it layers very well with almost any sweet scent you have in mind. The scent is closer to the other products from the range (butter, scrub, shower gel, lotion, etc) than the EDT.
In a sentence (since my reviews tend to be long)… it is nice, but not groundbreaking. Still worthy having if you are looking for something inexpensive and versatile.

It has a very sweet sugary coconut scent. I wear it with the hair, body and face dry oil. It is long lasting and people seem to like it.

As half of Earth’s population, I do love the scent of sweet coconut and of course do identify it at one hundred percent rate with summer, sun and sea. My first contact with coconut was naturally through The Body shop branches, like oil and body butter at first and further as a fragrance. If I do not have any coconut scent around, I believe I have no collection. And most importantly, as of it, I do have wonderful memories and recollection of my holidays. I enjoyed sharing it with my sister and finishing together a lot of coconut oils and body butters. Just wonderful and beloved, just like Tosca!

UPDATE: ok, I was a little too harsh with this one – it does smell ok on clothes, cool and fresh although still a v synthetic chemical coconut ..I kind of like it ;/ I’m in 2 minds about this one – there are wafts of cool coconut and vanilla after its sunk it to my clothes for a day but then also wipes and powder which I don’t like and I don’t like it on my skin – it turns musky on my skin almost immediately ;(

  26. :

    3 out of 5

It just smells like Johnsons talc, wipes and baby oil… I think they were going for a suntan lotion vibe. No real coconut in this – its cool and light, slightly sweet but very synthetic

  27. :

    3 out of 5

This is not my kind of coconut and I regret buying it, regardless of how cheap it was. I love coconut, but this BS version is like a coconut scented marker, if there ever was one. I’m not kidding. I’ve never actually felt that a cheap perfume smelled just that…cheap (no offense). But here you have it. My nose picks up something very chemical and the chemical smell is very strong. It’s not sweet or milky or tropical on me whatsoever. Good thing it only lasts about 15 minutes.
Edited to add, the body spray of this is wonderful. So much better than the EDT.

I wanted to like this, but it’s way too sweet for me and I actually find it a little sickening.

  29. :

A great scent to have in your arsenal for layering, Body Shop Coconut has saved many a blind buy for me. A very simple, dry and woody coconut. Lightly milky with a hint of powder, it really rounds and smooths out some fragrances that otherwise would never see the light of spray. (Crystal Noir, I’m looking at you!)

When I first tried this I was a little disappointed. Im really in the mood for coconut at the moment and have been enjoying a vintage Avon Far away Dreams for the last few days.
I thought I would give this a go as so many people said it was a very authentic natural coconut.
As with many Body shop scents – you need to be patient.
This develops with my skin into the yummiest coconut ever! Its a delicious and edible coconut that makes my arm smell tasty!
The other coconut perfumes are fruity and tropical, but this is pure and hot, like I`ve rubbed a fresh coconut all over myself and sat out in the baking sun for an hour.
I recommend the body oil(which can be used on hair also) and the body mist which is cheaper but still lasts well.
My favourite coconut fragrance by far! Well done body shop for this one ♥

Somebody in the store sprayed this near me and I had to buy it. I love the fact that they call this scent unisex because it definitly is great for guys or girls. A really tropical and beachy scent.

  32. :

Smells just like fresh, sweet, and natural coconut mixed with suntan lotion. I layer this EDT with the coconut body butter, and people can smell it off of me for hours after I no longer smell it on myself.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

I wasn’t sure whether to buy this or not as I find the smell of The Body Shop’s Coconut Body Butter very synthetic and unappealing. However, i love their Coconut Beautifying Oil, and based on the good reviews here, decided to blind-buy the EDT as it was on offer. I usually prefer more complex fragrances, except at the height of the summer. I thought this would be perfect for summertime but having tried it now, would say it suits this time of year too (it’s freezing cold where I live). This coconut smells as I’d hoped it would and is very similar to the beautifying oil, so they’ll layer very well. It’s rich, sweet and creamy, which is just how I like coconut scents to smell. It also has some depth and warmth to it and I honestly think this EDT is an excellent all-year-round choice for coconut lovers. This has a boozy quality, that makes me think of a coconut liqueur. Lasting power is decent too.

  34. :

I like this coconut scent. Its warm, milky and sweet. If you’re searching for a coconut scent – this is the best choice you can make! Of all coconut perfumes I have smelled this one and VS Coconut passion is my favourite.
I like the VS Coconut passion more so I gave this one to my friend and she loooooves it!
    Scent: 7/10
    Bottle: 1/10

  35. :

I’ve smelled many coconut body splashes and despite loving coconut, have been continuously disappointed with the way most of them turn- plastic, artificial. This one is creamy and sweet, but it doesn’t take that artificial dive to me like so many other body splashes do (Pacifica, B&BW, VS, to name a few). There might be vanilla in this in addition to the coconut, but I love this one just the way it is. If you want something that shouts “tanning lotion” or a loud summery coconut, this one is not for you. But if you want something a little darker, more subtle, with a smooth creamy feel to it then look no further than this one! I get a couple hours of sillage out of it, but layering with the coconut lotion would definitely help the longevity.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

This takes a very sweet turn on me. It is rather a vanilla fragrance than coconut. So if you like a vanilla sweet coconut, that’s the way to go. Longevity is so good. But if you are interested in a rather milky/creamy/true coconut scent, that’s not it yet you need to try Yves Rocher’s Coconut.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

I love The Body Shop’s coconut scent, and I have the this, the body mist, and the body butter as well. At first it smelled amazing, ’cause I love coconut, but then it started to smell more like gummy bears or some sort of sweet candy. It does not smell like coconut anymore, but is now very sickening. This happened to both the products.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

I have never been a coconut fan. There’s something artificial about coconut fragrances. I think that BBW and Victoria’ Secret tarnished my view of coconut. BUT, I happened upon this and it is the BEST coconut fragrance I’ve ever smelt. Milky, creamy, and soft. Not pungent and tart like coconut fragrances tend to be. I bought the milk lotion and I love to layer it with my vanilla, caramel, or amber fragrances. Just heavenly.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This is very nice, but way more like coconut shampoo/conditioner, than like a beachy cocktail, suntan lotion or real sweetened baking coconut.
I would purchase it to provide contrast in my quickly growing collection of coconut scents.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I first smelled this on a woman that walked into the gym wearing this. It was so heavenly that I had to ask her immediately what she was wearing!
than the Victoria’s Secret varieties with a coconut base.
This is a darker, richer coconut scent than the typical coconut scents that you find at Victoria’s Secret. I really like the way that this one smells on my skin. It is much deeper than the higher lift of fragrances within the Victoria’s Secret variety of coconut sprays.
This is a charming scent. It draws you in – and pulls you close.
This is definitely “on my list” – I would wear this when I wanted to have a fragrance last throughout the day. It could go business or casual… possibly even “beachy”.

I love this scent, so fresh. In my country, we use coconut in soup, salad, ice cream, pudding, sorbet, anything. When I use this perfume, my mom sniff my clothes and think that I just eat the soup and splash it everywhere.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I love coconut. I mostly use it as a base for other fragrances just to give them a bit of a coconut kick.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

    For the Body Mist:
A very clean and crisp coconut scent. Longevity and sillage is amazing for a body mist.
It’s not sickeningly sweet or overly creamy and that’s why I like it.
Good for the hot weather. I can recommend it as well when you need to wear something totally safe.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

This was the first thing I tried in my quest for a good coconut scent, but alas this is weak.
At best it smells like coconut body lotion, at worst it is oily and soapy, almost sharp and sickening.
    Not good at all.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t like this coconut fragrance. It rather smells coconut shell. Speaking about coconut fragrances of nearly such a price level, I would prefer coconut fragrance by Yves Rocher for sure, because it’s milky and even the best I’ve tried in general in perfumes. Upset(

Nr. 1 on my “to do list” this weekend. Can’t wait to get to the mall and try it. I looove coconut smell (and taste, of course).
P.S. Well, I went and smelled it and I don’t like it. I feel like something’s overwhelming the coconut. Too bad…:(

  47. :

This scent gets creamy in concact with my skin, however in the bottle its overpowering, almost makes me .. Sick. Love it on summer days and summer nights outside, not so much inside at home or cafe, shoppingmal etc.
Sweet, warm, vanilla and coconut, smells a little synthetic, the creamyness reminds of paper

  48. :

I really don’t like this coconut scent. I’m not a fan of the coconut body butter either. This scent isn’t sweet, it’s bitter. I was expecting a creamy, sweet fragrance but this scent fell short.

    ~*Review for the Body Mist*~
This a such a yummy coconut! Its sweet but alittle nutty and its absolutely delicious! The scent it exactly like the body butter I actually use the body milk and they are the exact same scent. It does kind of give off a lotion vibe though if people smell it on you they will most likely think you are wearing an awesome smelling lotion rather than a body spray or an EDT…
Its great on a casual days and works really well in hot weather. The lasting power is amazing! I tested it over night and when I woke up it was still there 8+ hours for a body spray, which to me is awesome!
I love the packaging it feels like I’m almost wearing a perfume, rather than body spray because of the glass bottles. The lasting power happens to be better than some of the perfumes in my collection too.
Overall a great coconut scent from The Body Shop. Its layers with their Vanilla very nicely too! I’m also planning on trying it with the Moringa fragrance. Its a great affordable summer scent. 😀

Bought this today along with the body mist. Great scent for the summer. Warm coconut smell yum, good staying power plus great value compared to some of the more expensive summer/tropical scents. Just need the sunshine to go with it.

I just got this in the body mist. A nice authentic coconut scent. It smells like a true fleshy coconut, raw and unprocessed and the best part is there’s no foul alcohol blast or any synthetic harshness.
It also smells like there is Shea in this too. Very organic and ‘nutty’ smelling. There is a touch of sweetness in this due to the sugar cane extract, but it’s definitely not overwhelmingly sweet. It’s natural and perfect.
I love coconut fragrances and this is one of the best true coconut scents. It’s very smooth. The best part is its so affordable. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely scent, a beautiful warm, creamy coconut, it lasts a very long time on my skin, I tested it at 2pm and could still smell it when I went to bed at 12! I could smell it on myself all day without having to specifically smell my wrists. Very yummy, will be purchasing soon 🙂
    [Now own it 🙂 ]

It’s a lovely creamy coconut scent- not very natural smelling though unfortunately. I feel there might be some tropical fruits in the opening (pineapple, papaya?)..
There is definitely frangipani in it and perhps some musc and something green and herby- smells a tad like bamboo to me- could be anything, really..
A very pleasant smell overall- the drydown is really creamy- more like coconut milk even rather than a slice of coconut. Great for layering, just like Cadnium said 🙂

    Exactly like the butter version!!!

A purely coconut scent. I find this really helpful for layering with other perfumes, for example Rebelle by Rihanna, to add more coconut. Really nice 🙂
