Description

One of the most successful fragrances from Calvin Klein is CK One, the citrus unisex fragrance from 1994. CK One Shock is a surprise for all the fans of CK One line. It is not an unisex edition, but two separate oriental compositions: CK One Shock For Her and CK One Shock For Him.

CK One Shock For Him is built around aromatic, spicy and deep oriental nuances. It opens with citrusy clementine, fresh cucumber and energy drink accord. The heart of black pepper, black basil and cardamom is placed on the base of masculine tobacco, musk, patchouli and ambrene wood.

Available as 50 and 100 ml EDT, shower gel, deodorant and after shave lotion.
CK One Shock For Him was launched in 2011. CK One Shock For Him was created by Ann Gottlieb and IFF.

Don’t sleep because its cheap! This is a nice scent for the winter. Gives off a Christmas vibe to me. Performance is pretty good. Great fragrance for the price.

The opening of this to me smells like it has cherry in it but there is none in the notes, must be the amber. defo get a hint of tobacco. performance is a little lacking on my skin but it is excellent value for money and surprisingly well blended.

At first opening i can feel niche vibes like Amouage (jubilation) DNA but soon will change to designer Carolina Herrera ch man and ch man prive DNA ! For price it is absolutely worthy ….
About the scent: forget about notes up there !! Cucumber, mandarin, lavender???? Noooo it opens like warm cherry or sour cherry jam plus tobacco and Farley incensey vibes…. but very soon will finish. Like fire of thorns loud and short…

Very good tobbaco based scent. It smells rather expensive. At first i was little disapointed, becasue some people said it’s similar to Burberry London. In my opinion it’s not. It may be in that same familly, but if you want to buy this thinking of getting clone – that’s wrong. Is it bad? Actually, not at all! This fragrance is pretty unique to me. Performance is decent, i can still smell this after whole day. Projection not bad too, it’s not a powerhouse, but it definetely leave some little trail. My friend used this on a trip one day, I didn’t. And through whole day, I had many moments , that I was able to feel this smell.

So I bought this one back in 2013 and just finished it this year (2018) So I guess You guys have your answer… nothing special and the dry down is nothing exciting. Doesn’t last on my skin. I would give it a 2,5 based on the initial sprays…

Wow… this one is possibly the best teen fragrance I have come across. Very boyish vibe to it, kind of smell you’d expect to find in a skatepark.
Strong tobacco sweet smell to it, very sexy and energetic. Can be used day and night alike but I’d recommend for fall/winter months
This is NOT a mature fragrance, under 20 only if you want to be taken seriously. Great for a teen night out/party sort of thing
    Scent 9/10
    Performance and versatility 8/10
    Quality 8/10
    Highly recommend

I wore this again last week for a night out. Around two hours after spraying (four sprays on skin under shirt-each arm, neck and chest-plus one on front of shirt, went to meet a friend at his apartment before heading out and he was ‘shocked’ at the power of the fragrance.
I have the so-called ‘reformulation’ with the black sprayer and for me I get excellent performance. I really like this stuff and I’m wondering if perhaps it is being discontinued as a couple of online discounters I shop are either out of stock or completely removed the frag from the website.

This is one of those rare cases where you buy based on expectations driven only by reviews and listings of notes and are surprised by how far the product exceeds those expectations. This to me is a stronger, though not harsher, variant of Yves de Sistelle Nimitz. It goes perfectly with the Perlier Imperial honey bath products. In some ways it also reminds me of the original Giorgio Beverly Hills, but not such that I would consider them interchangeable. The Giorgio is a honey-patchouli bomb blast; CK One Shock has so much more going on and is not so pushy.
I like Tyriel’s observation that this seems like one of those overlooked scents you might expect to look for someday only to find it’s been discontinued and the price has gone through the roof. The way I came across the CK One Shock in the first place was through reading after finding out that the Lanvin Avant Garde is now in that category of bearing a significant post-production price premium on the open market. I had gotten the Lanvin when it was much cheaper and it disappointed me as a tobacco scent. The CK One Shock is more in line with what I was hoping for when I had bought the Lanvin.
The disconnect between the bottle design and the contents seems almost sarcastic. This product deserves better.

CK One Shock is my favorite CK fragrance. Very sweet tobacco (not the dark and wet kind) sitting on a bed of warm and smooth amber with a bit of spice.
You can pick up 200 ML, yes 200 ML, for around 20 bucks. So, even with the reformulation, it’s still a great value.
Last about 6 hours on my skin with 2 of those being projecting hours. Great scent and great value. The bottle is tacky though, but the juice is divine.

Ok, here’s the deal: I got a 200 ml bottle of this and it was a blind buy and don’t regret it for a second….This stuff is great, especially for $18.00……..Love it.

I love this, opens beautiful to my nose sweet tobacco bit spice and amber last for 20 minutes with 20 sprays to chest neck and wrists. After an hour I have to really sniff at my skin booooooooo

Oh man. I love the opening of this fragrance! Sweet, thick, ambery tobacco with a hint of greenery. Unfortunately that’s it though. After the opening it’s all but vanished as quickly as it appeared.
It is very cheap however, so I just reapply or wear it on occasions when I’m only going to the shops briefly.

I finally have a bottle of this stuff after testing it a few times in stores.
CK One Shock starts out fresh with lavender, clementine and some green notes, then transitions into a moderately spicy-sweet fragrance. I detect a fruity cola-like scent (the osmanthus flower combining with the cardamom?) and some light tobacco. The dry-down is full of smooth amber, patchouli and some of those sweet-spicy cola tobacco nuances, whilst somehow retaining some freshness throughout. This is a really pleasant fragrance which to my nose is not ‘shocking’ at all, it’s a nice surprise though!
I think Shock really deserved to be a standalone release, it really doesn’t share much with the original CK One or it’s flankers, I suppose it’s closer to CK Be in spirit (they don’t smell the same though) as it has a slightly dark & spicy vibe.
For a apparent ‘tobacco’ scent this isn’t an over-the-top smoky masculine powerhouse type deal, it’s more suited to men imo but I still think some ladies could pull this off, particularly the younger women in a casual situation. To my nose the tobacco is rather restrained and is part of the whole and not so blatant as the above table suggests.
As for performance, I sprayed this on creases between my forearms and upper arms, one spray on each more than 9 hours ago and I can still smell it on my skin, after the first 5 hours or so it did become much more of a closer skin scent but it’s still there 9+ hours later. CK One Shock not a sillage/projection beast on me but it’s decent for the first few hours. (note that it definitely last & projects longer from my t shirt, one spray).
    My ratings after my first ‘proper’ wearing;
    Scent: 8.5/10
Projection/sillage: 7/10 (bright start, does begin to fade fairly quickly but remained/remains detectable for a longtime)
Longevity:8.5/10 (lasts well but is soft after 5 hours) still there nearly 10 hours later (almost gone though I reckon!).
Bottle: 7.5/10: Although nothing new (ck one line) it’s very well finished, superb (and generous) sprayer.
    Value for money: 9/10 (I paid 26 euros + 6 euros shipping for a 200ml bottle-bargain!)
    Batch code:0140901116
    Made in France

Wonderful fragrance, for a VERY low price.
The colours of the tacky bottle and the advertisement are not really in line with the actual smell of this amazing juice.
Even though the beautiful opening is green and fresh (hence the bright green letters), the heart of this juice is focussed on the tobacco. It has the same vibe as TM Pure Havane, but is alot fresher and more in your face. It smells more synthetic than Pure Havane, but this is absolutely no problem.
This is one of those underrated juices that is slept on by many people, because it is so ridiculously cheap. Once discontinued, I bet this will sell for €100+/100ml on eBay.
    Scent: 9/10
    Projection: 7/10 (1-2h quite strong)
    Sillage: 7/10
Longevity: 7/10 (On skin it lasts a good 5-6 hours, but the tobacco really sticks to clothes: 12h+)
Versatility 7/10 (Fall/winter and rainy days)
    Uniqueness: 9/10
    Price-performance: 11/10 (€35/200ml)
    Total: 8/10

This was a surprise to me. I never really give CK scents a try since I find many of them lacking several dimensions.
This was a blind buy, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. At first spray I remember this is very energetic but thick at the same time…In a good way. It smells fresh and very masculine.
On the dry down the tobacco, Cardamom and patchouli really shine. They all blend perfectly to combine the frag into a sweet tobacco, powdery patchouli essence.
    Cardamom = Sweetness
    Tobacco = Fresh Tobacco Leaf
    Patchouli = Powdery Depth
    OVERALL:
This is a semi-sweet tobacco, powdery-patchouli masculine winter frag. I will definitely reach for this on the colder days.
Bonus……This was $21.00. Such a steal! I would absolutely recommend.

Smells good to me.. more “mature” than most of my frags but very nice juice. Reminds me of Very Sexy for him with more tobacco and wood notes. Maybe VS with Hugo boss Night. Much richer than expected also some musk to it.. not a fan of musk but sits well. Without it would be too sweet. Like Very Sexy (straight syrup on a hot day). Dry down is a less vanilla more powder version of Givenchy Pi. Again less syrup/sweet. Great for fall/winter imo not a light scent.. if you want spring/summer don’t be “shocked”
Edit: Givenchy Pi + Rochas man – the fruit = CK one Shock. Deff loving the dry down. Smells really good. The opening not so much.. but I can wait.

My all time favorite perfume which I use as if it would be unisex. Fresh and spicy, ultra sexy, modern, everybody likes on me, I feel confident when I wear CK one shock. Enough cheap, so you can pull the trigger with this one to achieve moderate projection and lasting.
    Highly recommended, 10/10 smell.

One of the best smelling fragrances you are going to find. I think the “energy drink” notes are imagined. As for the marketing and bottle…they set out to create a bottle that was reminiscent of an energy drink bottle. I think they definitely hit the mark with that goal. Is it an artistic masterpiece? No! Does it give the impression of an energy drink bottle? That it does!

I love this. Imagine dipping fresh tobacco in red bull, then pouring in some cherry or raspberry syrup. Playful but relaxed. For me, in my opinion this is blind buy worthy!

  25. :

    5 out of 5

The scent is nice. A versatile la nuit, ch prive type. What i notice most is the evolution. From the citrus energy drink top, to a cardamom-tobacco mid, then to an amber/tonka finish. The masses dont get this calvin thats why its in th bargain bin & has a community following. Worthy of 19.99 and then some.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I won’t bother discribing the details of the scent, that’s been well covered here.
This was a blind buy for me. For the price I thought I had nothing to lose based on the good reviews. After receiving the bottle (and it is cheap and ugly), I would still say it’s worthy of a blind buy. The frag is very good, “safe” and pretty universal, but not highly distinct. A scent that isn’t a true compliment god, but good for almost any occasion. Basically a very good, but cheap, product you leave in the gym bag, desk drawer, car pocket, etc.
I totally agree with others that say if this one was supplied with a much nicer bottle and marketed well it could have been a much bigger hit. The juice is worthy, the bottle embarising to have sitting in the collection… so it sits in the car door pocket.

sugary sweet + tobacco with a little amber. Smells like a freshly opened pouch of roll-your-own with an open can of redbull sitting beside it.
Excellent value for money and a very nice tobacco dry down although the opening can be slightly cloying due to the sweet “energy drink” note that everyone mentions

    @Shave-a-thon
I have a bottle from 2012 with silver sprayer which is original formulation.
Performance is fantastic, not the strongest, but above average. I have smelt a new bottle with the black sprayer, it even smells a tiny bit differently from the older formulation, has a slight bubblegum vibe and a blast of alcohol in the opening now and of course the performance is definitely softer. But knowing how much it cost nowadays it is still a good scent.
The bottle can easily make a wrong impression for it, but it is superb and unique scent, easily unisex.
To add, because of unscrewable option there can be diluted or fake bottles.

Just picked up a 3.4oz at TJ Maxx for $19.99. They usually only have the 6.7oz and I wasn’t sure I wanted to commit to such a large bottle even though the notes looked promising. So far I love it! The top was very fresh with the citrus/lavender/cucumber and the spices and tobacco were prominent from the get go. It seems to mellow down pretty quick, and I think my Husband can get away with this in the Florida heat as its not projecting too hard. I have the shock for her, gave it to my Step Daughter to wear because it was a bit sweet for my skin chemistry but smells absolutely divine on her. I can see how the two do compliment one another. Looking at the note pyramids you would think they would smell crazy together. I’m hoping my Husband likes it and will update my review accordingly.

To all who complain about the performance of CK Shock for men:
The problem is that if you read reviews here or watch Youtube, they don’t mention the formula codes and batch dates. I have a feeling that those who get good performance are reviewing pre-2015 bottles which were much stronger than the air freshener that is CK Shock today. I, too was very disappointed. What’s the batch code on the bottom of your bottles? Mine is 7114. That’s the 114th day of 2017 or April 24, 2017.
I’ve written to Fragrantica and asked them to please add fields in the review area for the batch code of the bottle, place of purchase and date of purchase. Without them, these reviews are pointless.

I got on the hype train for this one two days ago. The opening and the initial dry down are very very good. So much so that I already considered having this as my signature scent for our winter months currently (avg temperature around 10 to 17 degs). That is until I smelled myself or rather, smelt NOTHING 3 hours later. Gone. Zilch. Nada. I gave it another shot (6 sprays) the next day straight after a shower with exactly the same outcome. Lingers a tiny bit more on clothes and thats about it. Third rate longetivity unfortunately.
Despite this, I will wait for warmer climate before giving this another chance. Until then this remains a neutral review.
EDIT: my batch is from Sept 2017.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

This is a solid, subtle (in scent if not in bottle) cherry tobacco. Projection is fairly weak–it’s not so much that it’s a skin scent as that it’s just not dense at all, especially compared to other tobacco fragrances. So if you love a heavy, thick tobacco scent that people standing near you will definitely notice, CK One Shock may be a disappointment for you. But if you like a lighter tobacco that won’t bother the person standing next to you in line, or you’re not sure if you like tobacco scents but want to start exploring them, then CK One Shock would probably be great for you. Either way, it’s cheap so you may as well give it a shot.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

This is one of my favorite frags I’ve ever owned and I got it for like $25. There’s no “energy drink” sourness here as many would suggest. Starts very warm and spicy, like a fresh bag of one of those cinnamon or vanilla tabaccos, but it’s soon balanced by the lavender as to not become something like Margiela’s By the Fireplace that’s almost wholly restricted to cooler months. I’d consider this a must have for almost any man’s collection. Nowhere near unisex unfortunately.
That said, spray little and spray often. I’m gonna disagree with some previous reviewers and say that, in my experience, this has great range but meh longevity. It’s cheap enough that I keep a bottle in my car to use as a refresher and that really helps with making it an all day fragrance. It’s always hard to gauge how long a scent stays on you but my girlfriend doesn’t tend to smell it if it’s been a few hours since I sprayed.
CALVIN KLEIN I AM SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO YOU(r interns who don’t read fragrantica reviews) — please fire whoever did the marketing here!

  34. :

    4 out of 5

A poorly marketed fragrance. If this scent had a different bottle and advertising campaign it would be a huge success. This is a tobacco based scent that doesn’t take itself too seriously. What this brings to mind is a successful guy in his early 30s finding himself in a high energy EDM club. It gives off a vibe of calmness in a high energy environment.
If I was to sum this fragrance up quickly I would say energy drinks and tobacco. Sort of like the smoking area of an EDM club. It’s quite pleasing although not the best quality tobacco fragrance around. Longevity is above average. The first four hours it performs very well with great silage and projection. After that it lingers around quite well as a scent bubble for about four more hours.
Very good for what you pay. Not super expensive smelling but whatever.
    9/10.

  35. :

A lovely tobacco, fruits and spices perfume. Longevity and silage are very good. Loads of character here. A delicious and deep fragrance.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

+1 for this being poorly marketed. Hope ck fired whoever was responsible for that cause they dropped the ball hard on this one.
Anyways this stuff is amazing, especially when you factor in how cheap it is and you can usually find it discounted even further at a few stores. Definitely blind buy worthy
The tobacco note in this is really well done, dare I say almost as good as Herods. Normally Id never wear a tobacco note on a hot day but this stuff seems to work for whatever reason. The Amber and patchouli work well as supporting notes. Performance could really be better, but at this price who cares about over spraying.
D&G wishes The One was this good of a tobacco scent.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

As others mentioned, the bottle branding and the scent don’t match at all. I can’t imagine you could find this stuff for so cheap if CK didn’t make the mistake of using a graffiti style, hulk green font. It is a great tobacco scent, and I normally hate the smell of tobacco. It is sophisticated and manly. I love it.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

I purchased this in the hopes that I’d get an affordably sweet tobacco fragrance, as I absolutely love tobacco notes. This is a massive 6.7oz bottle that, unlike just about every other tobacco fragrance I own, I wouldn’t have to care about how much I spray. That is, until I sprayed it and realized that I can definitely overspray this. It’s a sweet tobacco bomb, and not exactly in a good way. I don’t dislike the fragrance, but it’s just far too sweet. And I LOVE sweet fragrances. This is just too much, though. And by too sweet, I mean the synthetic sweetness they used in this is too much for me. If it was better quality, or smoother, I might have liked it more. However, unlike CK One, I’m not all that impressed with this one. The tobacco and amber is there, the sweetness is there, and I get a tiny hint of cardamom as well. In fact it sort of faintly reminds me of lanvin’s avante garde for about an hour after the opening, but quickly goes away. I own lanvin avante garde, and it’s a much better scent, unfortunately discontinued. I also own pure havanne, which is a much better scent as well. But when you look at the price of ck shock, you can’t really compare it with these other offerings. It’s a deal that is very attractive, and the scent, unlike every other CK fragrance, lasts quite a long time. About 8 hours. While I love CK One, I don’t love it’s longevity. So I understand that my stance may appear vague on where I sit with this fragrance, but basically it’s a great smelling fragrance if you can get over the degree of sweetness it has in it. It’s extremely affordable at just under $25 for a massive 6.7oz bottle, and it lasts a very long time for what it is. The actual problem that arises is it’s a very specific scent that is for colder weather, is heavy, and not really a mass pleaser. So I’d have trouble having this fragrance as a dumb grab kind of fragrance, which is where the value of cheapies really shine, such as ck one, which you can wear for any occasion. So with that in mind, I’d be pitting this guy against my more expensive, equally situational tobacco fragrances because the times when I’d wear ck shock are also the times I’d wear my other, better fragrances. So it’s not fair, but understandably, ck shock will end up getting far less attention from me in the future. Had this one been leaning more towards an any occasion type of scent, it’d likely be a different story.
As far as I’m concerned though, I will definitely keep my bottle, but I will not be buying this again, only because I just prefer my other tobacco scents a lot more, despite the obvious disparity in price. I’d give it a sniff, it might be for you.
    Scent 6/10
    Longevity 8 hrs
    Sillage: 3hrs

Calvin Klein – CK One Shock for Him
    Aroma: 7.8 / 10
What stands out most in the aroma is the strong tobacco note in the early hours and then the progression very sweet with a hint of amber.
It raises compliments even several hours after the application.
    Longevity: 8.5 / 10
I feel the scent on my skin usually between 9 or 10 hours. On the clothes it still lasts more …
    Projection: 7/10
Projects at a moderate distance between 1 to 2 hours.
    Final Note: 7.8 / 10
A good perfume for winter / autumn.

I like this scent. For a Calvin Klein it has longer than normal longevity. Normally CK scents last not long at all.
It has a prominent note of tobacco in the base which lingers for it’s lifetime. The amber is also prominent. Definitely a winter scent for me.
    Good price.
Please Mr Klein be more imaginative with your bottle designs. I hate having a sprayer without a top!!!!

First, paid 10$ at Ross. Dropped mic and walked off…….ok I’m back. Was I looking for this? No, did I have to buy it cuz it was 10$? Yes! Best way I could describe this: my dad taking me to a real deal tobacco/pipe store in the mall. Yes kids there used to be such a thing. There were gallon sized glass containers loaded wall to wall stacked about 6 high. Store made of probably Spanish cedar interior. You would go around picking the lids off each container and sniffing the different flavors of tobacco you maybe interested in. This would have been one of the less potent containers sitting next to maybe a potted plant for decoration. With the scents of the tobacco, plant, and wood of the store slightly combining. Then you walk out the store, thinking how that smelled nice. But you couldn’t wait to ride the escalator at sears.

Well what can i say – it’s better version of Burberry London. VERY similar.
Also people who like this smell should try BVLGARI – Man in Black. I think you gonna like that too. Also similar, but more spicy.
Also people vote it have tobacco smell – no it doesnt. People who think it’s tobacco never smelled tobacco perfumes then. Have similarity but not tabacco at all.

CK One Shock for Him was a recent addition through a swap and I must say it is a very great addition. It is rather versatile while leaning more towards a fall to spring night scent for the young and young at heart (like me at 30.)
This is a spicy scent. It truly gives off a cinnamon accord which i guess is from the energy drink accord dominating thee open along with some slight lavender and clementine notes. Then the officially spicy notes take over with the cardamon and pepper from the mid with some of the osmanthus which I think also helps create the energy drink accord. The base is dominated by tobacco and some amber.
Performance is pretty nice. It is rather moderately strong for about two hours before becoming a skin scent. The fragrance is detectable for another five as a skin scent. I hear newer batches are lighter so be forewarned.
I really do like Shock, it is cheap, smells nice and mostly unique. I say mostly as I notice some comparisons to Spicebomb in CK One Shock. Maybe just missing pink pepper and leather. I have to say that I rate Shock a 7.9. You don’t get much closer to a love in my book.

I’d seen so many YouTube reviews raving about the opening, I found that aspect to be quite a poor first impression.
The drydown was nicer, not a full on tobacco but it was there, quite a mellow sweet tobacco, not unpleasant but not anything special, quite basic.
The performance was surprisingly decent, I’d heard some stories of it being a 30-60 minute, for me it was still present for about 6-7 hours.

Absolutely beautiful fragrance. This is to my nose, one of the best sweet tobacco scents on the market. It is sweet candy with a hint of pipe tobacco to give it some depth. If you like sweet scents with a touch of tobacco then this is for you. It is in a similar vain to Pure Havane or Dolce and Gabana The One EDP. This is much sweeter tho. This is a great cold weather or holiday fragrance. The one thing I would say, is the packaging is all wrong for this fragrance. This fragrance deserves a much more sophisticated bottle. It’s marketed towards a teenage crowd but it really is for all ages. I find performance to average and the price is amazing. This should be in every collection. I like it much more than Insurrection 2 Wild or Pure Havane. It is sweet tho so if you don’t like sweet, this isn’t for you.

A rich and deep scent. Feels very sensual and pleasant. Good for all events. Not good for hot day, but could be good all season.

i can compare this fragrance to a beautiful fireworks display.
it has a very wonderful opening.
probably one of the best openings i have ever sniffed.
i can smell a sweet explosion of tobacco coated with amber and vanilla.
but however, just like any fireworks display it does not last long.
20-30 minutes on your skin and it’s already turned into just a memory.
it’s a good purchase though, considering the price.
it’s still a YES for me.

A nice chocolaty vanilla sweet pipe tobacco with a breeze of lavender rolling past is what I mainly get from this on my skin. Whether vanilla was used to create the tobacco note or not I detect it anyway.
A very pleasant fragrance that would be hard to not like.
As others have stated, it’s really good for the price, I ended up getting a 200 ml bottle. The bottle design is shocking though and they were not shy in admitting it, labelling it one shock in lime green and probably a good reason it sells for a bit less than one would expect.
Overall a safe purchase blind buy or not I think.

CK One Shock is one of the best “cheapies” you can buy ($22 on Notino). Smells great and will garner you compliments. Performance is on par with a $22 fragrance but who cares.

This is a great fragrance, and I wish they’d called it “cK Late at Night,” or “cK Dark Seduction,” or something that would indicate that what’s in this bottle is a tobacco/leather/vanilla type of scent. Calling it “SHOCK” and spray-painting that on the bottle in neon green suggests you’re about to be accosted by a frat-bro sporty aquatic.
This is not that kind of scent.
It’s rich, it’s savory, it’s smooth, and it is very reminiscent of other fragrances in this same genre: Man in Black, Dark Obsession, 360 Degrees Black, the original John Varvatos, etc.
There’s a bit of sweet citrus (orange) in the opening spray, as well as some chocolate, but this sweetness very quickly gives way to a darker base of tobacco, pepper, lavender, and patchouli (not to mention some vanilla undercurrent). It’s very much the Calvin Klein core DNA you’ve smelled in their other juices, such as Contradiction, Euphoria, and the original Obsession for Men. It’s that patchouli plus lavender (plus cardamom, or musk, or whatever) recipe that is undeniably Calvin Klein, and it works well in this fragrance with the tobacco and pepper.
Projection is average, and that’s fine for a scent in this genre. More importantly, the longevity is a tick above average, which is unexpected for Calvin Klein scents from this period. I get a good 6-8 hours out of it.
Summary: ignore the bottle design, ignore the name, and get the fragrance anyway. I’ve seen it at discount sites for $17-$20 for 100 ml, and that’s an incredible value for something this good.

Was not expecting to like this as much as I do. Truly a beautiful scent and nothing like ck one.
At first sniff it reminded me of the 1 million line. I prefer this. It smells like a smooth sweet tobacco mixed with spices and chocolate.
I would recommend this if you like sweet chocolate tobacco spiced scents like 1 million without the bubblegum accord.

CK One Shock consists of sweet tobacco and spices..
The dry down is sweet and with a hint of smoke.. I like it..
    Longevity 8-10 hours!!!
    Sillage is moderate!
CK One Shock is best suited for cooler weather.

Beautiful scent. smelling the bottle first off or when it first opens it smells like your typical, spicy woody aftershave in the green bottle your dad always had in the bathroom. But after a few minutes, it opens into this beautiful pure tobacco scent. I don’t find it really evolves after that point but that’s okay. It’s a tobacco with a bit of amber and I get a marshmallow out of it… Like if someone made a Rice Krispie Square out of tobacco instead of rice krispies. sounds weird but it’s very nice and manly.
