Jelly beans are thought to be a hybrid of two candies – the Turkish delight, a popular Middle Eastern soft jelly flavored with orange, honey and rosewater and Jordan almonds, almonds coated with a crunch sugar shell.

In 1976, David Klein, a candy shop assistant, developed candies of assorted natural flavors, completely different from the medicinal tasting candies at that time. This eventually became the jelly bean as we know it – a small bullet-shaped confection with a sweet candy shell and jelly interior that comes in a multitude of flavours.

The dainty and adorable jelly beans can be likened to a woman. Regardless of personality or character, within every woman lives a little girl searching for her happy ever after. Most women are drawn towards cute and attractive things, and the sweet appeal of candy is irresistible.

Sweetness and daintiness does not necessarily equate to mean weakness. Likewise, the delicate appeal of a woman does not diminish her ability to defend her love.
