This is a very special fragrance. It is there yet it is not there- it is present without being overwhelming. It is pleasant and reminiscent yet it is unrecognisable in that it is not similar to other fragrances.
I find this to be a very pleasant and mysterious scent, perfect for workplace, semicasual or formal oaccsions. The name indicates noir but I would have no inhibition in wearing this during the day.
It is not hugely popular so you are unlikely to find too many people wearing this. I have never had anyone correctly guess this scent.
    Scent: 9/10

PS- I get a hint of animalistic/pheromonic nuance in this. Anyone else with similar experiences?

There are times when the nose needs a respite from the collision of contrasting notes in your favorite complex perfumes. At times like this, I really appreciate Bvlgari Soir. Papyrus is such an intriguing perfume note. It adds woodiness without the richness or depth of other woody notes such as oud, cedar, or guaiac. Tea and bergamot add to the sparkling top of this fragrance, and it was genius to add warm amber to the base to keep Soir from being too aristocratic or austere while maintaining a sense of class. Accordingly,, the performance is solid but understated, forming a very nice little bubble of sophistication around the wearer. Smells best via sillage rather than directly on skin. If you want something for well-dressed spring/summer occasions, this is definitely a candidate.

I’m really surprised at those who are complaining about about longevity. I’m at over 8 hours today, and still going strong with only 4 sprays this morning!

This stuff reminds me of the original Armani Code. Classy, understated, somewhat formal. It smells fantastic. It’s too bad the performance is really bad.

Not great just okay. I cant claim to know what tea or papyrus smells like but if it smells like this then I am not missing out on anything. This is just one of those fragrances which like most bvlgari fragrances will not offend anyone so it is pleasant in that regard. It will also not make you stand out so if your looking for that than look somewhere else.
It has good lasting power and upto 8 hrs later I can still smell it. When I wore this it reminded me of guerlain homme intense but much lighter. So sometimes I forget which cologne I wore and my brain would mix these 2 up.

    I’d like to start off with an observation that I’m fairly sure others may share;
When you use a tester at a store, and even if you spray the fragrance on your skin and walk around for awhile, what you will get is generally Not going to be exactly the same experience you will have when you take it home.
You will (on a good day) get something very similar. On a bad day…. Well…
Having said that, I always try a frag out first before I buy (when I can) so I at least know what ballpark I’m in.
And having said that, I was very impressed with Bvlgari por homme soir at the store.
I thought the four notes in this particular frag we’re very well balanced.
With only four notes, each note makes a significant contribution to the fragrance. What I found with the bottle I purchased, was that the balance was shifted a little from what was in the tester
This isn’t the first time I’ve had this type of experience.
But I really do like this frag. It does have a sophisticated and pleasant Aura about it, and it’s all still there, just a bit different (a little less Amber) than I expected.
In fact I’ve come to really enjoy the blend I’ve purchased.
This is still a very well balanced and compelling fragrance, which lends itself to being a very versatile yet satisfying addition any frag wardrobe.

I absolutely love this one. @Nawal.Ansari’s review below totally nailed it. “The sophisticated linen shirt of my fragrance wardrobe.” – That’s the perfect way to describe this scent. But I disagree about performance, I actually get a strong-moderate amount of projection from this one, in spite of its soft scent.
The papyrus note is perfect for work, an interview, or any time you’re afraid of wearing something easily distinguishable or at all disagreeable. This is probably one of the LEAST disagreeable scents in my entire wardrobe, along with Vince Camuto Eterno, and Zirh. You’ll just plain be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t like it or who would ever complain about it.
This is the only Bvlgari scent I’ve felt compelled enough to buy, even passing up Bvlgari Man In Black for $15. This one runs a bit more (about $30-$40 for 3.4oz) but unlike other Bvlgari scents I’ve experienced, this one is worth having for me!!! If you’re looking for a soft work-safe scent, this should definitely be on your list to try.

This REALLY shines in the dry down, which on my skin peaks after about 3-4 hours. Reminds me of CH 212 original if anything. If i had to word it, i feel the original in this with a creamy redberry aura with just a touch of leather upon application. After awhile a bit of barbershoppy green powder shows up. This is one of the best from Blvgari. Great consistent quality juice from Italy.

The ‘Armani Suit’ of my collection. Suave, sophisticated, safe and classy!
    Dry, fresh, clean fragrance.
I am a football fan (Soccer for the Americans among you) and if I was to compare it to a player, it’s not a Messi/Ronaldo/Zidane or Maradona flair type player.
This is Lampard/Busquets or Kroos. A solid player that always has a place in the team, classy with a great touch but not the main attraction or a flair player but essential to any great team or collection.
Understated, subtle excellence in a bottle. Not my favourite, most inspiring or ‘happy’ fragrance I have but one I keep coming back to time and time again!

Excelent scent, women and girls love it, so sexy i get lot of compliments. Fresh, masculine, wear it mostly on night and spring/summer. Silage and longevity not the strong point but ok is a summer edt so not reallυ a problem. But the scent is sooo good!
    Scent 10/10
    Silage 7/10
    Longevity 6/10

I find Soir pleasant while a bit feminine and too powdery, but somehow it is quite a compliment-getter for me.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

The sophisticated linen shirt of my fragrance wardrobe.
Soir is an underrated gem. It opens fresh with a burst of citrus and dries down into a grassy and tea base. It is soothing, has soft projection and extremely versatile. A perfect work scent.
    Scent – 9/10
    Performance – 6/10
    Presentation – 8/10
Soir does not scream for attention. Soir is an introvert, waiting for you to approach her.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

The tea note is of course the center of the fragrance, but on my skin it feels very soft with even some touch of femininity. It smells somewhat floral and powdery, and not as “green” as I expected.
A pleasant, refreshing and versatile fragrance, and it stays for a decent time on me, but it still feels lacking something. I will experiment layering it with the few fragrances I have in my possession.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

So this is not a positive review BUT I want to be fair and say tea is a note that usually hit or miss on my skin and unfortunately this times a miss.
This opens up with citrus and tea and to my nose this opens up very flat and dull on my skin. Screechy, muddy and synthetic are words that come to mind when describing this scent and honestly to my nose this smells like dirt and moss after a fresh rain. I don’t mean that in an appealing manner either.
However I have caught whiffs of this throughout the day and thought this was somewhat pleasant as it smells better in the air than it does on the skin.
Honestly though if you want a solid tea scent that does what this does and that has the versatility that this scent has id go with a Gucci Pour Homme II as that scent is way better !!!
Performance on this is not good and usually scents last on me ! It lasted 2-5 hours with very little projection.
Overall rating—5.5 out of 10 ! Not the worst scent ever but nothing that appeals to me and honestly Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea is way better at only $10 for a 3.4 oz

Bvlgari PS Soir is so unique. This kind of cologne is ideal to wear in European cities like Paris, BArcelona, Rome etc. because this cologne is so elegant and classy. I love the hint of citrus is blended and the smell of green tea. A very strong performance which is ideal for colder months. It can become so exploding and unpleasant in hot weather. This cologne goes well with classy attire and very classy events. A great cologne that I purchased for the 3 time.
    Projection: 8/10
    Longevity: 8.5/10
    Smell: 9/10

After i read the review, i drcide to try this perfume. At first, i fifnt smell anuthing, which quite confused me, but slowly a green notes and the smell of fresh tea ( somehow i kinda smell it like jasmine green tea) emerge, gollowed by the mixed of something citrus smell. Pretty relaxing, soft make me happy. If u need a relaxing fragrance, this is it, it is kinda sweet smelling also, from the amber maybe. The silage is pretty good, 6.5 oit of 10, i would say, people can smell it within your scent bubble. Performance is 7 out of 10, bit the perfume smell is 10/10 for me.

  24. :

Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir is a real underrated gem of a scent. It is simple, linear but perfectly executed. The papyrus note and darjeeling tea are the the stars of this composition, and are well propped up with bergamot and amber. BPHS is beautiful in its’ simplicity. This scent is a comfort scent for the evenings if you will, and I would take it further… this scent ushers in the sundown and creates the scent aura for night time relaxing and healing. I love this scent more so in the spring and summer night air, it just sings. BPHS is the perfect porch scent, and this begs to be worn while watching the sun go down, as you drink a few beers on your porch or balcony and let the worries and stress of the day melt off of you.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

Pleasant. Green. Classy, yet still remains young and energetic. Despite its name, I find BPHS more suitable for the daytime.

  26. :

A fragrance for a smooth gentleman. It´s classy and elegant, yet relaxed and gives a comfortable, confident aura without being intimidating. You shake the hand of a stranger, smiling casually and confidently with elegance… that´s the kind of vibe you will project. Refreshing citrus and tea notes with amber base. Moderate longevity but decent sillage and projection.
Unfortunately the sweetish amber/tea combo made it a bit cloying to my nose and got me bored (not bad but it´s a matter of taste). I wished for something colder and more mineral. I ended up giving it to a colleague for his birthday, he was super happy and traded his cheap synthetic cologne for this, couldn´t stop wearing it! And I got to say, even though I didnt have my Bvlgari Soir anymore, I enjoyed the sillage from him a lot more than on myself, all for the better.

PocketRocket described as classy and mature. My experience was the “perfect old man smell”. I am not ready to smell like an old man.
This also quickly turned sour on me. This one just was not for me.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

Between Extreme and Pour Homme Soir, it’s Extreme for me. That being said, PH Soir is an amazing fragrance. If extreme is your classy but spunky guy, then PH Soir is the mature guy, assured and confident of himself. I find that I like Extreme’s brightness over PH Soir but I do appreciate Soir’s clean earthy POV. This is clean without going soapy, earthy that isn’t dirty and very comforting without being pushover. It’s corny but I think PH Soir is what a classy, mature, kind guy smells like. There’s a comfort I equate with kindness, like you know this guy is a good man through and through. I mean everyone already gave a breakdown of the notes, so here’s my visceral, probably unhelpful review.

For those who like the restrained Bulgari style and find sweeter scents difficult to wear, Bulgari Pour Homme Soir could be a great option.
Soir is as an earthy, powdery, semi-sweet green scent. Typical Bulgari class and restraint. The earthy note is really what makes the scent for me – a sort of sweetened, chalky, mineral accord. It’s synthetic, sure, but really cool – sort of a chilled version of Terre d’Hermes’ mineral note with a dash of Creed Vetiver ’48’s wet rocky note thrown in.
The top is the weakest point for me, but not unbearable. It starts off with a somewhat bland, sweet detergent presence, and beautiful mineral ambiance gets going about a a half hour after application for me. Lasting power is surprisingly strong. I recommend it.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

A unique, well crafted choice in the realm of “pleasant and inoffensive”. There is nothing here that is so often recycled in other “freshies”. No detergent, no aquatics (though it is “watery”), no loud citrus or herbals or woods. Strong tea fragrances that focus solely on the note are hard to find, and the solid performance (8-10 hours with four sprays) makes this an excellent choice for settings that ask subtlety of a fragrance, or for people who are looking for an elegant, reserved statement to make.
There is definitely a loud tea note. I am an avid, hardcore tea drinker, so I am all about it. At the outset, the fragrance is dominated by a full bodied, green-leaf tea note, made weighty by an elegant white musk, hydrated by citrus. There is no “tang” or “zing” from the citrus here; it is predominately there to keep the fragrance from being dry or hazy/scratchy/powdery. The tea aspect is magnificent: at once piquant, aromatic, and verdant, with traces of the volatile resinous facets present in conifers like pine, cypress, and juniper. My favorite herbs are those along these lines; things like mint, tarragon, oregano, and basil, that have a sharp, full bodied presence. Tea is not as aggressive in this regard, but shares some of these qualities.
As the fragrance evolves, a wonderful earthiness comes in from the papyrus. Here it is much more “chlorophyllic”, like crushed leaves and dangling roots below, wet earth clinging to them after being pulled out. As the fragrance settles, the tea, earth, and papyrus settle into an equal balance, supported by the musk. If there is amber here, it is not the candy-sweet sickness I associate with it, so I dont really smell it at all.
I think this is an underrated gem in this community, which seems to be overly focused on loud, tacky orientals. It wont clear a room or dominate a dance floor, but it is a masterful statement in minimalism. This one ticks all the boxes: year round versatility, solid performance, and a distinct structure that is worthy of being a signature. You can’t go wrong wearing it.

Just finished a bottle of this. Very happy with it. Smells awesome and lasts a long time on my skin. I love the heart and base, the green, grassy part of it, which must be the tea. The smell is, to me, also reminiscent of the pines and the sea. Of the salty cleanliness.
As such, I believe this could be worn in any occasion. It is subtle, hard to overdo, and has some lasting power to it so you don’t need to refresh it as is the case with some other perfumes.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Just ok for me; fresh, spicy yes, but no more than that. Quite ordinary smell compared to my other frags (the more bottles you got, the harder it gets to find a smell that stands out amongst the crop)

  35. :

    5 out of 5

The regular Bvlgari Por Homme is one of my favorite fresh green fragrances. I thought this would be equally nice and memorable.
    Nope.
Muddy and indistinct opening with an indistinct lipton iced tea and lemongrass kind of scent and hit the drydown and began to fade within 20 minutes. What a disappointment.
Scent 4/10: not memorable or unique.
Projection 2/10: I could smell it for a few minutes then nothing at all.
    Sillage 1/10: literally nothing happening.
Longevity: 3/10 lasted about an hour before there was nothing really left.
Would I buy it again? No. Immediately traded the bottle I did have and don’t regret it.
Who do I recommend it for: people who want a safe inoffensive scent to spray on their necks when their date isnt looking, immediately before leaning in for a first kiss so you don’t smell exactly like the popcorn from your movie night. If you arent that kind of person then move along.

It has nice sweet smell and affect other people but after some times whenever i wear this, i feel some pain in my stomach. So i usually put it on my legs and far from nose!

  37. :

A cold glass of tangy refreshing lemon tea.
It wakes you up with a zing of sour lime (bergamot/grapefruit?), but fades rather too quick and goes into the background that binds everything together.
The dry down is a grassy green scent (papyrus?), with a hint of tea, and a dash of sugary sweetness (amber?). It’s somehow elegant and classy but still maintain its freshness due to the lime/lemony background. The vibe is pretty close to Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche without the creaminess.
Wear it day and night, spring and summer. It’s subtle but unique, elegant but fresh. Casual but not shirt shorts and sandals. A smart casual.
Elegant bottle, and surprisingly fits like a glove in your palm. Very satisfying to hold and spray.
    Beautiful piece from Bvlgari.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Respectful, innocent, and harmless. It is mass pleasing, and somewhat boring. Experienced fragrance lovers may not really like it, but it is a safe choice for those who want to smell safe and pleasant.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This opening just bursts with the exotic promise of the orient. The combination of tea and papyrus works well to offer something familiar, yet unique.
I close my eyes and I imagine sitting in the cool refuge of a wooden tea house on a warm spring day.
Once the opening settles, the beautiful sharp tea starts to fade and the tones become softer and creamier, almost leathery, the kind of smell you associate with a the interior of a luxury sedan or sport car. Whoever said this has a Midnight in Paris vibe, well its spot on. To me between the 1 and 2 hour mark is my least favorite part where there is this kind of synthetic rubbery smell that is almost overpowering.
But, that vibe tones down after an hour or two, By now the leather and tea has mingled into this soft beautiful scent which, I would imagine, would be the scent you will be remembered by if recalled by your lover in years to come. .
This final stage is really why I wear this… I wish I could get to it sooner. Its unique, exotic, mysterious, contemplative and definitely romantic. The kind of scent that makes you fall in love with someone. So really, for me – the best kind.
Longevity and silage are monsters on this. Less is definitely more. Two sprays maximum and it will last a day. Even after 6-8 hours I can still smell its projection. This can be slightly cloying if its really hot and is not something I would reach for in the height of the summer. However, it absolutely shines in mild to cool weather.

BPH Soir is a very underrated cologne. Amazing though.
Despite of being marketed as “Soir” it can be worn during the day as well.
The tea note is a monster on my skin, which I love it.
It’s classy and timeless. It smells expensive, seriously.
Any guy from the ages 22, 23+ can safely wear it.
This isn’t a clubbing scent, on the contrary, it gives you a relaxed vibe type of scent (yet very elegant) and intimate feel.
I’d say that BPHS lays on the same shelf as Prada Amber Pour Homme, Hypnôse Homme, Allure Homme Edition Blanche, Burberry Touch For Men and Neroli Portofino – Despite of those being very different from each other they all share the same elegant-but-low-key feel.
    Projection 8/10
    Longevity 7/10
    Sillage 7/10
    Scent 9/10

The halls creak with a chill descending upon it. Shadows reach across every room as the light twists through the windowpanes – a million formless entities grasping at the emptiness. The tendrils of smoked tea and vetiver permeate the house hours after the guests have gone. The shadows move with a purpose, drawing closer to the heart of this home. Here the sole occupant lies, drifting between this world and the next in a delicate dance. The room fills with a perceptible dread….the shadows grow like fingers creeping up the walls. Death awaits the rousing of the occupant – the scent of a thick and icy licorice pours from the mouth of the abomination. You open your eyes to stare into the endless blackness of Death – you shudder for but a second before peeling a smile and saying, “I thought this day would never come…” Death calmly extends its hand – the bone reeking of ancient musk and the wisdom of an eternity of knowledge – you gladly accept the offer. Your world comes to an end….but it is never the end…just the end of the known universe.
    Day 66 – Familiar
Listening to: Florence + The Machine – Heavy In Your Arms
Notes: I cannot believe how simple this fragrance is – it’s a five note wonder, but it is undeniably magical! The fume presents a very cool and aloof attitude by expertly juxtaposing the cool scent of a thick black licorice and the suave of a gently smoked tea and vetiver all on a base of decadent white musk with a touch of sweet amber. That’s it! This is a very linear fume but it is incredible in its presentation, projection, and longevity (10+ hours)! I wonder if a woman could pull this off as it is temptingly sweet but quite handsome….

I bought a bottle of this blind based on all the rave reviews. This did not smell like I was expecting at all and I’m not entirely sure how to describe what I’m smelling. It is slightly sweet, a bit powdery and has this chemical vibe that smells almost like an anise/licorice note but not quite.
It reminds me of another scent that I didn’t care for, 273 Indigo by Fred Hayman.
This instantly makes me feel sick to my stomach. To everyone who says this won’t offend or bother anyone, I’m offended and bothered.

I always receive a lot of compliments when I wear this. It’s definitely one of my favorites in my collection. It open when that classic tea note, then transitions into a smooth dark musk. It just smells terrific to be honest. I could see it as someone’s everyday signature however I believe it should be savored and appreciated.

I recently picked up a bottle of this terrific fragrance. I really like it. It is fresh with strong tea notes and papyrus, amber, and musk. I really find this to be fresh, yet sexy with a refined vibe.
This is a fragrance that hasn’t been reviewed much on Youtube and doesn’t get the ‘hype’ of other fragrances…but it is well made and a fragrance I can see attractive by the fairer sex.

Soir is fresh and I’m going to say “zesty” in a not citrus but green kind of way. It’s interesting but not really something out of left field. As for longevity this lasts an apparent “better that average” amount of time on me. Somewhere in the ballpark of 7 to 8 hours later I was still getting “whiffs” of myself as I was working.I don’t want a signature scent but this fragrance is looking at me with those knowing eyes.

  55. :

Lots of green notes here. I think this is a lovely winter perfume or a night perfume in the summer. It’s quietly masculine and has a refined sexiness to it. The tea notes gradualy fade very slowly and leave you an amber base. Lovely. An excellent number by Bulgari.

This is my first review on fragtica. On first spray I feel fresh with tea and bergamot and after that 15min I can catch a lot of citrusy but blend with tea. At the heart , papyrus make it green powdery and woody. This heart make me love with this stuff. So on the base, amber make it sweet but musk make it clean smoky. I dont know how to describe. But I can tell you, rich, elegant, sophisticate, sensual. Less but more is really good to defining this colonge.
Sorry for my word. I’m thai.

It’s sweaty and humid smelling, like a warm dark night somewhere in the south. I love it, I just always pick something else to wear.

~ This Bvlgari deserves a description that some may shy away from. To my nose the “S” in soir describes a sexy, sensual, subtle scent for a man. It’s meant to be enjoyed on a date with that special someone and to complete the evenings gentlemanly handsome wardrobe. The inviting cup of tea you pour for her is steeped in citrus with warm papyrus and sweetened with the amber in the last drops of the drydown. You will smell sophisticated and tastefully discrete while your intimate date night with Soir’s longevity will last a longtime past the goodnight kiss.
    Kind Regards, Plat ~

Reviewed this in May of last year. This is a re-review. I finally get it. Once the initial alcohol dies down and as long as you don’t overspray, it’s lovely. A rainy evening spring scent. A good companion piece to the other members of the Bvlgari pour homme line.

I’m in love with this one.. i tried this weeks ago at Sephora.. i like it, but at that time i thought that this one is similar to D&G Intenso which i own.. so i thought it would be a redundant purchase.
last week i sniffed it again at duty free Bangkok, this time i cannot hold anymore, so i bought it..
though it similar to D&G Intenso, i still think it bears some differences, both have a soapy quality, but in Intenso, it comes from the grain while in Soir it cames from Papyrus..
Unexpectedly, the longevity is quite good i think, because no Bvlgari perfume can get good Longevity on my skin, this does..
projection also not bad, radiates within arm length for about 1-2 hours, after that it sits closer to the skin, but still can be smelled.
I just didn’t expect that this come from Bvlgari line, very unlikely.. well done on this one.. 8/10

    True story.
When I first tried Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir, I wore it out for dinner with a friend. I loved the grapefruity, papery opening, but as I left the house was left with a (very) faint tea note.
Went for dinner, and to my nose, I now smelled of nothing – the scent had completely vanished in under 3 hours!
Got into my friends car on the trip home, and noticed this lovely biscuity aroma coming from somewhere, ‘What’s that Amazing smell!!??’, I said.
    Turns out, it was me.
Sometimes receiving an unsolicited complement from yourself is rewarding enough.
    Overall rating 8/10

I’ll just gonna be straight up and state that I LOOOOOVE THIS PERFUME <3
I gave it as a present for someone very close to me and it has everything a man need in a perfume; a great sexy masculine scent, noticeable in a safe distant without being too much, stays all day (he literally sprays it after he gets out of shower in the morning and i can still smells it in the evening when he got back).
Very recommended, totally falls in love. I even wanted to find a miniature or a vial so I can carry it around <3

I never tell em what i’m wearing lol! Kinda wanna keep this secret to myself. With this scent you can’t go wrong. AND it’s a bargain! 2 thumbs up! Ill always have this in my collection.

I see the same problem with watcharyn
I am sure that the bottle is synthetic but it only lasts 2-3h on my skin. I don’t know why 🙁

Very elegant and unique. Bvlgari Soir is a great fragrance for those ones who want something better than a standard citric/young or woody/old scent. The dominant tea gives it a woody (kind of fougere) personality in a modern way.
It has an evening misterious elegant purpose, but not even close to be boring. I could say ‘just a strong personality’.
The texture is dry powdery, kind of a dark green/ light woody/ metallic powder with a little bit of citrus (opening) and sweet (drydown). So it’s Sour and lightly sweet – very well balanced.
    I should say I’m suspect
