What a great summer scent!I got a little old school vibe, but no,not outdated, barbershop or something like that, reminds me of class, and gentleman vibe…I see Gustav von Achenbach in “Death in Venice” wearing that,or more recent Tom Ripley and Dickie Greenleaf in “Talented Mr.Ripley”…goes well with that 50′ Italian riviera vibe…I love citruses, and classy scents,so this is probably my game…I also bought Noble fig, which ia also beautifus scent, but in some other direction.Incredible value for the money.

Perhaps but it must have been a very bad one!
Don’t get me wrong I really wanted to love this, the reviews were very encouraging but it was just…well sour!
I was hoping for a lemony, orangey/citrusy, semi-sweet and fresh scent but that’s not remotely close to what I got.
The sprayer was dodgy to, just spat out rather than emitting a fine spray.
Perhaps I will try again sometime but it left me emotionally scarred…well a little disappointed anyway.

At first impression I get so vibes of creed original Vetiver…even better than creed original Vetiver, because that one is linear but bright Neroli gets floral after 30 minuets! Creed original Vetiver 200 euro for 100 ml and FBN is just 15 euro!!!! So what you want more??? People just like to pay 200 euro for same scent and just because this one is cheapie they dare talk nonsense!!! Leave it for me all

from the nose of a newbie …..
Take the skin of an orange. Dried it down for 1 day. Smell it. This is what this gem is all about.
    Projection – Nil
Sillage- moderate (less than 1 feet)
    Scent bubble – awesome.
    Longevity- 4 hours.
i enjoyed the entire summer here in indian heat.

Here you go, I’ve fixed it for you….
Well, I read a lot about this one and ended up really wanting it!
It eventually came up for £21.99 (GBP) delivered from Allbeauty.com so I pounced.
To say I was disappointed is an understatement!
Firstly the sprayer was knackered, it just spewed out a thin globule of juice and not a spray at all.
However, the worst thing was the smell! It was disgusting!!!
Now I don’t know if I had a dodgy bottle or if somehow the sprayer problem had caused the juice to go off or what but this was horrible, sour, harsh and bitter smelling stuff.
It smelt like a very old lady had kept a bottle of some very cheap and nasty perfume in her old handbag that had incidentally been urinated on by a drunken Buffalo with a bladder infection and then the bottle had broken and it’s sour, out of date juice had mingled with the buffalo urine.
…..did I mention it was not “bright” or even “sharp” but very…very harsh and sour!
Does Neroli smell like old Buffalo urine? I wasn’t aware that it did.
To call it “old school” it would have to be the toilet block in an old fusty boarding school for incontinent, infected Buffalo.
I don’t mind “old school” I like Aramis and Chanel PM, Eau Savage etc. but this was far too harsh and sour.
As this fragrance is not sold in the high street stores (at least not in the UK) I can not try it to know if it’s supposed to smell like that.
I really wanted to love this and cannot believe it smelt like it did having read such loving reviews about it.
    Gutted to say the least.
Sorry if this is someones signature scent and of course I may have got a bad bottle but I dare not re-order just in case it really is horrible and just not for me.
I’m not one to over react over a fragrance dislike and find it pathetic when some say a fragrance gave them an instant brain haemorrhage and caused them to projectile vomit on the spot…silly nonsense…man up, it’s just a smell.
    However this was very bad.
Please tell me I had a bad bottle as I really wanted to like this as I love my Ferrari pure lavender.

I have to agree with @Sloth…
In my skin, after 10 minutes, it really get the “urine note”
Overall, it has a cleaning product smell with poor longevity.
    Don’t believe the hype.

Ferrari Bright Neroli is my second Ferrari and had to live up not only to the hype of Bright Neroli itself, but also the hype of what I got from Ferrari Uomo. Bright Neroli is a very bright, clean citrus and isn’t that dated, even if it a scent that smells like others that have been around for years.
Bright Neroli opens with a strong citrus smell mostly citron and some bitter orange which honestly isn’t a note I really enjoy but I like it here. Instead I smell a very strong smell that reminds me of Williams shave soap. The neroli is the strongest note and honestly I think gives it to some of the shave soap parallels. The neroli note is the strongest and really makes the base seem missing though I notice a slight vetiver.
Bright Neroli works for a very heavy work friendly environment and summer in casual day settings, even in a gym (though at the pricing, I don’t suggest it). This is once again due to its performance which is slight. I get five hours out of it but it is actually has some nice and slight projection for an hour/hour and a half.
Ferrari Bright Neroli is a slight love for me, performance is its biggest knock but I love it. I would give Bright Neroli a 8.1 out of 10, but Uomo is still my favorite Ferrari.

A great alternative to 4711 if you don’t fancy buying a giant bottle of the stuff, decanting into an atomiser and respraying every 30 minutes. A great alternative to Tom Ford’s Neroli Portifino if you don’t want to pay the expensive price. Not as heavy as Neroli Portifino and a bit more citrusy.
Performance: I surprisingly get about 11 hours longevity. This projects for about 2 hours and the sillage is on the lighter side of moderate. Defintely the best value out of these 3 fragrances. Big thumbs up from me!

As much as this new ferrari line are impressively presented and superficially good quality, I’m not that taken with them, however this is one of the better ones for me. It’s not just because I’m not a fan of Neroli in particular because in the right context it’s very enjoyable, in fact in this context it’s very enjoyable but one factor to me stifled hopes I had of adding this to my wardrobe, and that is… performance. Indeed it smells similar to niche, fresh citrus neroli’s like TF Portofino but that lasts well and has somewhat of a base to speak of, after the initial excitement of bright Neroli’s opening, (to use a boxing term) it gasses in the later rounds. Don’t get me wrong, the sharp opening is as bright as it’s namesake and the white florals in here smell of decent enough quality, however it’s a slightly clumsy approach, not much finesse or surprises, just full on citrus and full on neroli. Considering the hype it’s received and the powerful opening, I was extremely surprised by the lack of longevity. Some might say I’m being harsh for 20 odd £’s for 100ml and they might have a point, I’ve never been one to fixate about performance but here (maybe unfairly?) it bothered me slightly. I got a few hours out of it so if you want a decent, but throwaway, affordable neroli this is perfect. In spite of everything I’ve said I would still buy this and wear it beacause the price is so agreeable, Maybe it needs a few wears and just spray loads. Thumbs up ferrari.

From those 3 (Tom Ford, 4711, Ferrari) this one is the best bang for the buck. It smells 95% same as 4711, just lasts good amount of time and 4711 after 1 hour vanishes without a trace. Tom Ford is way too pricey when there is much cheaper alternatives like Ferrari.
If you smelled 4711 or Tom Ford and liked it then you can easily buy this one.

This one is bright, very white floral, soapy, eau de cologney, it’s a bit old and not unique. Definitely not like TM NP. The citruses are not very well pronounced and to me it’s smells like and old eau de cologne and a typical old Barber shop smell. The rosemary inside it’s confusing the bright flowers and the soapy smell like putting a boarder between them and making it a bit confusing to my nose. Not a huge fan of it and probably will update my father’s wardrobe with this one! I am sorry fans, I was really looking forward to have this one, since it was very hyped in the fragcom.

  15. :

Bought a sample of this to see what the fuss was about.
It’s definitely bright, but it’s made me realise Neroli isn’t for me. Too floral and bright, and I’m sure I’ve smelled this in some cleaning product at some point.
I’m not scoring this as it would be doing the fragrance an injustice. I think it’s just that I don’t like the note.
I can see how some would like this, but it’s a no from me.
Would suit females more I believe. Try before buy!

OMG, this is so amazing! I can see why people love this, so clean, so fresh, so relaxing. I feel like i am an orange tree in blossom season, like i’m in the kumquat garden with full of flower and citrus and the sun is shining. Why such a cheap fragrance smell so good!!! Unbelievable!

I don’t find this similar to Neroli Portefino. This smells much more feminine than NP

  20. :

    4 out of 5

I’ve got to say this straight away: where is the neroli? The citrus top notes that are there are not noticeably bright. Dominant notes are orange blossom, Sichuan pepper and rosemary which in the early stage are not really pleasant – there being a weird plasticine note. However, once settled and warming on the skin, a transformation happens. It is definitely at its best deeper into its dry-down.
Other notes that are missing are amber, patchouli and vetiver. Yes! You’ve read that right. Those are all the base notes. Include the missing neroli, and that adds-up to four of the ten ingredients absent. Taking a break from it, the intense dry citrus of neroli still passes me by.
I’m not reminded of 4711 – which I love. But, I am reminded of D & G Light Blue – which I don’t. For me, citrus scents can smell like cleaning products. Bright Neroli avoids that for the most part. But it is like sniffing a bag of lemon sherbets. And like D & G’s Light Blue, I’m not taken with the rosemary note.
There are citrus scents I’ve liked considerably less, which is hardly an endorsement. However, an important caveat: in my experience citrus scents perform with greater variability across skin-types than do any other scent group. So this will certainly react differently across individuals.
In summary, I find it a bit nondescript. I was hoping so much to discover something along the lines of the utterly gorgeous Crabtree & Evelyn’s Sevillian Neroli Eau de Cologne. It isn’t. Self-evidently a warm weather choice. The fact is, as someone who loves neroli, it isn’t what I could call a ‘neroli scent’. At £20/100ml it doesn’t break the bank. It is what it is: a light, warm-weather citrus scent for men.

I am a huge Neroli lover and while I do really like this fragrance and see the similarities between this and NP I do find it more masculine than NP. To my nose it is due to the difference in the base notes of the two fragrances. NP has a much more Amber sensual base note while the vetiver in this gives it that typical masculine vibe. Vetiver is overly used in men’s fragrance for that very reason. I happen to really like both fragrances but while I like this I Love NP.I have layered this with Jo Malone Orange Blossom and it’s much more feminine. I do also think the Neroli in NP is much more beautiful. I also love the lavender and musk mallow notes in NP as well. I just find NP to be more beautifully balanced and natural and for the price it should be. I bought the NP body oil and I find the fragrance sticks around longer. Bright Neroli has a more male barber shop quality but I would recommend this to a man (or woman) that likes Neroli and Vetiver.

  22. :

I got a sample of this mostly looking for a cheaper alternative to Neroli Portofino, since I saw the comparisons.
To me, this feels more masculine than Neroli Portofino. I find it interesting that others are saying it is more feminine, but since I am used to looking through the world with a feminine lens that could be why.
The longevity does seem a bit better to me, but I don’t find it worth it in that sense since it smells totally different to me. It is a good scent, but on me it comes off more linear than I expected, and it just makes we want Neroli Portofino more. Sigh.

Please dont blind buy this. Test first! Im not smelling any neroli in here, nor it resembles anything close to Tom Ford Neroli Fortofino nor 4711. Doesnt last. Has a little barbershop vibe on top note. I dont know how they come up with a name “Bright Neroli.” Highly disappointed.

  24. :

Just got this from the carrier. I blind bought it paying 20 Euros here in Germany hoping that it would be a “neroli portofino” killer. But let me tell you its nothing similar to NP. It is somewhat more sweeter, while NP is very effervescent and sharp I think. And For a guy like me who is in his early 20’s, This fragrance is somewhat too mature..? It kind of came to me as a perfume that my grandma would wear;; It just has this very oldschool vibe to it. Not for me.

    What an invigorating Neroli scent!
Sadly on a hot humid day, this cologne performed only an hour on my skin before turning for another hour of skin scent and poof, it’s gone.
Have to go very heavy on the sprayer to push it for another hour.
My two bottles will be done in a year or so.

Well, my favourite from this collection is Noble Fig. But this one performs great in heat. It’s a little on the sweet side. You get neroli and orange on vetiver base. Starts bright and fresh, good for office as it’s a friendly fragrance, not overpowering. I get 6 hours and not more from this one, paid 10 euro for 100 ml so…

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Excellent Neroli fragrance. It is definitely unisex…the neroli is not overly floral, and there is a nice orange woody base hidden in the background. Comparisons to 4711 and TF Neroli Portofino are valid…performance is much better than 4711 which disappears in less than an hour on me.
This is my second favorite of the latest wave of Ferrari fragrances behind Noble Fig. Ferrari has definitely upped it’s fragrance game recently and made some amazing juices that punch WAY above their weight.
Get it while you can! These bottles are hard to find.

Vrrrrrrrooooooom! Toot toot! Oh yeah. This, finally, is the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino-killer I have been searching for. Correctly named – it really is neroli in a clean, streamlined, straight-ahead guise which is absolutely all you need for a hot day when you need to smell great. No mess, no fuss, no pretensions. I love it.
The base is light, it doesn’t have the same heavy-duty amber or white flower punch of TFNP or Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir, but this one is still a class act – smells many many many times better than ‘just plain neroli’ and for its cost it’s something not far short of a miracle. By the numbers: this gives 85% or more of the pleasure of TFNP for 10% – ONE TENTH! – of the price. (Unlike 4711 cologne, which is another lovely cheapie which does smell rather like TFNP, but on me, only for about 5 minutes before it vaporises completely.)
The Ferrari is not perfect – it’s still a little lighter on both performance and complexity than TF, and the soapiness/detergent edge is a little more pronounced – but this is an absolutely astounding thing for the money. It does start off a little harsh and synthetic for the first 5-10 minutes but as soon as your skin’s had a chance to warm it up and burn off some of the alcohol, the beauty begins to unfold in earnest. Don’t judge it by the open – it takes a slightly bumpy hill start and then charges upward to reach new heights once it gets going. Once it’s got into the right gear you can cruise along for hours and hours, bathed in an aura of clean, golden, sweet, sunny neroli all your own.
Longevity is also far better than with most citric/ cologne-y offerings: this goes the distance. While it’s more of an ambience than an attack, you can still detect it on skin up to 5-6 hours later. And at this price you could spray with extreme extravagance without feeling any pain at all. Fantastic find. Give it a test drive, you won’t be disappointed! Ferrari performance at Fiat prices.

Bright Neroli has an elegant packaging with cap accentuated with leather. The scent itself, however, doesnt live to its name. The neroli note is not as bright or as piercing as the real bloom; not what I was anticipating it to be. Neroli is toned to a creamy floral, removing the brightness/greeness of the real neroli. There is also a synthetic woodiness on the top note not present in the real neroli. Middle notes are almost non-existent. The base is loaded with detergent musks. I find the base more pleasant than the top note. Overall, the hype did not live as promised.
    Scent 3/5
    Sillage 2/5
    Longevity 3/5
    Packaging 4/5
Overall quality for the price 3/5
This is an overall OK neroli for men cologne. Maybe a little bit green metallic sharpness can lift and brighten this fragrance.
    —Update—
    1. Its giving me nasal allergy each time I use it.
    2. The smell is not similar to Tom Ford Neroli Fortofino nor 4711 because this Ferrari Bright Neroli lacks sharpness and vibrancy.
    3. Its overly hyped and youll get what you pay for! This is easily worth not more than $USD30!

the most versatile scent for spring and summer. im not surprised to find this fragrance in the most of top10 for summer on youtube. super fresh and invigorating, ferrari bn is basically a citrusy scent with some fruity-floral notes. this fragrance is damn pleasant and impossible to dislike. maybe the performance is not so good but it’s so inoffensive that u can overspary without problems. i use it in the gym but fits very good for every occasion and age group. in italy u can find it for a very cheap price( 15-20 euro, a steal for this little gem). great quality-price ratio, buy it if u can. profumo rinfrescante e piacevole!

@MSC No fragrance makes a person a man or woman. We are talking about scent here. If somebody finds this feminine, that is their pejorative. If some people think a man wearing this might have on a woman’s perfume, that is also their pejorative. You disagree, that is perfectly okay, But it won’t change the fact that some people will find this feminine, or even masculine or unisex for that matter. Because I guarantee people will have different opinions on the gender or lack thereof regarding this fragrance or any other. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, all that matters is the wearer enjoys the scent.
And lastly, as far as a “fragrance being worth the hype” that is not a decision that can be made by you or any other reviewer. It can only be made by the person that owns the fragrance. Some people will find it’s worth the hype, and others will say it’s not even close to the hype. Fragrances are very subjective.
Below is my review and opinion on this fragrance based on the scent itself as well as the sillage, projection and also the opinion of my wife who has a much better nose that I do, as well as comments (solicited and unsolicited) from friends (male & female) and a few family members the first time they smelled this on me…

  33. :

@MilesJDavis: maybe you and your friend could not smell the scent anymore because you over applied it, I can’t imagine staying closed in a car with 10 spritz of this :oX
simply the noses went in self-protection mode… try it again applying lighter, it lasts 5-6 hrs on skin and all day on fabric ;o)

Nice spring, summer time scent but the performance is POOR on my skin. I’m talking about the scent lasts no more than one or two hours on me. I sprayed 10 sprays on myself today (5/28/18) and about an hour later I asked the passenger in my car if they could smell me and they told me no. I couldn’t smell the cologne anymore either. I’m just glad this fragrance is inexpensive. I may give this fragrance to a family member. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this. I think I’m departing the Ferrari fragrance hype train.

When writing a fragrance review I always make sure not to be biased or influenced by other people reviews or compliments, so that I can give as much as possible accurate information about my experience.
This is such a beautiful fragrance. It clearly does not belong to any gender category, this does not have any feminine, girly properties, nor any masculine harshness. That said, if your fragrance makes you a man or a woman, look further, this will not shape your gender.
The longevity on this is above your usual ferrari fragrance (red, black, scuderia) and it has decent projection aswell (its not over powering but also it is not just a skin scent for atleast a couple of hours)
This ferrari release for what it is and how much it costs is worth the hype it gets. It has been 2 weeks since I have it, I can not seem to get enough of it. Usually at such constant use of single perfume, after such period of time it becomes less noticeable to my own nose, but this is not the case with this one.
If you enjoy neroli smell, you can blind buy this safely.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

I agree with the reviewer below me that this leans feminine as does most unisex fragrances. Don’t get me wrong, it smells wonderful and I love it on my wife. But it just doesn’t fit my character. Metrosexual men can pull it off however. Women can pull this off easily. This smells like being outside on a beautiful summer day peeling a tangerine with a light breeze circulating the the soft aroma of nearby orange blossoms surrounded by patches of neroli. The longevity is not that great, so spray your clothes, and bring a travel atomizer to freshen up every 2-3 hours. However, do not over-spray because you’ll easily get olfactory fatigue from this fragrance. Apply wisely and conservatively, 3-4 sprays at a time. Trust me, if you go heavy on the sprays you won’t smell it.
If you like Neroli and you’re a guy, I suggest Mugler Cologne. Much more masculine and smells like you just took a shower with Irish spring soap and splashed on some manly green aftershave with a touch of neroli. Much more my style. Your style may differ.
TIP: Don’t pay the high prices for Ferrari Bright Neroli on ebay. The scarcity of this fragrance got greedy ebay sellers jacking up the price by 300%! Why fork over that kind of cash when you can currently find it at fragrancebuy.ca for $34 US for 3.4oz. I have no relation to the website, it’s just the only place I found online at this time selling it at a reasonable price.

For the price I’ve paid I’m amazed how good quality is this scent, however, this is too feminine to me… smells like a hair sprayer or sth. Even when I’m wearing it people around me asked me why I wear a female scent. I use it as a room freshener now.

  38. :

Wow! Just wow! How is it even possible that some fancy frags with poor quality can end up having the same price as a kidney on the black market and yet get hyped, and this one with such an amazing quality can go for under $25?
In my opinion this one is so much better than Neroli Portifino (does this mean I have all the haters comin’ my way?). And I mean that because of the smell, the performance and the price. TF bottle looks nicer, but besides that… nothing, niente, nada.
Regarding the “does it lean masculine or feminine”-debate … Who the hell cares? Just wear whatever you wanna wear and you’ll be fine! The frag on its own does not have genitals, nor does it have any specific sexual orientation:)

Acqua Di Parma colonia Essenza …. So surprised nobody mentions this one…FBN is more lemony, with a tiny bit more vetiver… longevity will be better on ADP and of course ADP is playing in a higher league but pricewise FBN is a Winner…a very good bang for the buck ….
    Great stuff !

    Exactly as tayyabforyouth decribes.
Only thing to add is that on me the performance of this, is better than Neroli Portofino as well.
I can litterally not think of any other reason to purchase Neroli Portofino other than the pretty bottle.
4711 is magnificent but is pointless as a fragrance unless you are able to reapply every hour, so for that reason only, I never purchase the cologne. I do however use the body shower daily.

Citron, lemon and neroli sharpness accented with orange blossom sweetness. Well done, especially for a sugarless citrus.

This starts off with a strong note of neroli and bitter orange, with a hint of citron. The whole composition smells a lot like Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino or its ancestor 4711 Eau de Cologne, but Ferrari Bright Neroli is far more ‘orange’ in character, with less lemon and no bergamot or lime. The whole fragrance smells very natural and is a soapy orange scent; the light orange juice colour is very appropriate. On drydown over time it smells still mainly of neroli, but I get hints of vetiver as well. This fragrance is totally unisex and doesn’t lean masculine or feminine (as is the case usually with neroli-based fragrances). It smells sort of like an orange version of Mugler Cologne (which is also neroli dominant and totally unisex but is ‘green’ in character). Sillage is moderate leaning strong while longevity is also moderate leaning strong, at over 5 hours. Overall this smells extremely pleasant, and is a fantastic ultra-orange natural smelling neroli cologne with far more longevity and projection than 4711 Eau de Cologne but priced way less than Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino (while smelling like both). Neroli, and citrus fruits are probably my favourite aromas in perfumery, and this is one of my favourite neroli-based fragrances.

Just stating the obvious, but do not buy if you don’t absolutely love the smell of neroli.

I was actually planning to blind-buy a bottle of Neroli Portofino but was recommended to buy this one as it was cheaper and as good as Neroli Portofino. I have not tried Neroli Portofino and can therefore not compare the two but this one is not a bad scent for the warmer days. It is not aggressive at all and it is pleasant and very gentle. I think it would be a very good office scent for the spring/summer season. However, I wish it had a little bit better longevity and projection.

A better version of 4711 in terms of projection and silage.
A pleasent cologne for hot summer days.

I’d like to preface this review by saying Neroli/Citrus Blossom is one of my favourite natural scents, if not my absolute favourite. I grew up around citrus trees and the wonderful fragrance of it’s flowers. I could never escape the intoxicating draw of those flowers, nor would I ever want to, and so I made certain to keep that feeling these flowers evoke in me close to my heart. If heaven had a smell, it’d be a field of Citrus blossoms. As an adult, and gardening hobbyist, I now have a modest orchard of citrus trees my own, consisting of various types of mandarins, grapefruits, and lemons. There are few things in life I look forward to more than Spring, because I get to smell the beautiful, fragrant flowers they produce. And so, searching for the perfect Neroli scent has been a mission of mine for a long time. I’ve smelled TF Neroli Portofino, 4711, and a few other scents.
When I first smelled Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino it was love at first sniff. It smells very natural and very floral. However, it was still missing something. You see, natural citrus flowers have a tiny bit of spicy elements to them. They’re gorgeously soft and airy, but also have a bit of a bite. Snap a citrus leaf, or even a flower petal and you’ll smell the spicyness. While I love TF’s NP, it was missing that element for me. And of course, it’s outrageously expensive.
Enter Ferrari’s Bright Neroli. I was at a loss for words when I blind bought this, and smelled it on arrival. How could a car brand’s scent be this good? Bright Neroli opens up rather synthetic and soapy, give it 10 minutes and it becomes a slightly spicy, soapy neroli bomb that lasts longer than I expected. It’s completely linear, which I’d have no other way. I get at least 6 hours with this lovely scent, longer than NP, and much longer than 4711. The best part is even though it’s obviously synthetic, it’s still one of the most true to nature neroli perfumes I’ve sniffed. It has the spicyness that every other scent forgets, and for that reason (and the price) wins over NP. NP has a more natural floral scent, but Bright Neroli has the elements it’s missing to create a fuller picture on the whole.
It’s Spring now, and my mandarins, and Meyer lemon’s are in full bloom, with my grapefruits budding and ready to flower. On one hand I have Bright Neroli, and on the other I have nature herself, and all her beauty. Of course, nothing beats the real thing, but this is as close as it gets to my nose if I want to experience spring’s neroli any time of the year. For the price, I can’t give it a lower than perfect score.
I’ve bought 5 bottles of this juice and I’ll never let go of it. I think I’ve found my neroli scent. I can only hope I find something better than this, and if anybody knows of better let me know, but for now, this is the one. Thank you Ferrari for this masterpiece.
