Description

House of Boucheron, in cooperation with Interparfums, announces its new fragrance Boucheron Quatre inspired by the famous collection of Quatre rings. The feminine edition was launched and announced firs, coming out the spring of 2015. It is followed by the masculine version Boucheron Quatre Pour Homme.

Quatre Pour Homme is an elegant woody fragrance for men with style. Its composition begins with fresh lime and lemon as well as violet leaves. The heart mixes notes of Sambac jasmine and rose, while the base captures predominantly woody tones of cedar and cashmere together with a trace of musk. Available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

The design of the bottles is a replica of the design of Quatre rings.

This is a gone in 60 seconds fragrance for me.
Very nice uplifting Summer scent though but you need some kind of nose amplifier in order to enjoy it.
I own a full 100 ml bottle. What a waste.
In the meanwhile I have found an application, as Aftershave.
it’s good enough for it. Doesn’t need to last long.

At first glance Quattre can be perceived as quite generic. But wait, I definetly get an animalic vibe here making Quattre stand out from the rest. This is no masterpiece by any means but not bad either.

This was a pleasant surprise for me as I usualy have problem with any scent that has strong violet leaf note. Here it’s smooth violet leaf but the scent has a harsh opening. Leave it some minutes and sniff it again..
Quatre is a nice citrus/floral/woody scent for summer/spring, daytime. Safe and quite generic (it could be a good release from Lomani or Yves Roche for example) but nice. As time passes it becomes better. At the background there is a small aquatic feeling. Lemon/bergamot and violet leaf shine in this composition. There is also mild lavender.
    Performance is moderate/average.

violet, lavender & wood elegant male perfection, I love it. I usually love violet fragrances but compiled with woody notes is absolutely perfect when looking for something elegant, classic ,masculine but modern. No idea how come so many guys dislike this fabulous fragrance. Classic pour homme fragrance surely is nice but very very classic with its lemon notes. I much rather have this parfum or Jaipur when wanting to stand out out of the crow!

Just gave Quatre a try today and while the first few seconds were very promising, it quickly turned into a generic scent, like the ones commonly found from Diesel, Gucci, Mont Blanc in major retailers. It smells like dozens other out there. There are many low budget scents that can easily outperforms this in all aspects. I was curious about the Intense version, but based on reviews that is not making any difference.
Boucheron classic and Jaipur are the ones to go for sure.

I swear there is a leathery note in there. Maybe some comments here are right that it reminds them of diesel. I just don’t have diesel only the brave to compare.

I just got this one despite the bad reviews, and because have most of the flankers of Boucheron Pour Homme, and I think this is not a master piece but is a modern essence, in a beautiful bottle. I bought this one and Mr. Burberry together, and I would rate Quatre higher.
I am still intrigued about the intense version of it.
Well for now it stays in my “like” shelf.

I was looking for a bigger hitter for the office and bought this. Yes, citrus, rose, cedar are all there but in a sophisticated scent. I really like it, reminds me of Cartier Roadster minus the labdanum which can get cloying to me. A good buy which I will definitely really enjoy on rotation. Id say not for the under 30s & not a unisex scent. The sophistication definitely overwhelms the generic nature of the wood & citrus in this.

Totally agree with Saintlunaire… The Classic and Jaipur are real gems and this one is quite a mediocre Scent. Go for the classic or Jaipur

    Review for :
    INTENSE VERSION
Same smell just a little deeper with a touch more persistence.
If you like the original but wanted a little more Oooph then ok buy it.
Personally I think the scent is immature. Fresh Fruity Aquatic. I used it for a while last summer because I got a good deal on a new bottle but it got cloying after a while and it says nothing about you personally other than you like to wear fruity colognes.
A guy comes off as “Flakey” wearing this. Maybe a bad salesman in a cheesy clothing store could pull it off ?

Like so many others, I tried this because of the name Boucheron and I really wanted to like it but I can’t. It’s very generic and synthetic smelling. Frankly, I feel really let down because Jaipur was my very favorite juice for years and years, they haven’t released a new line for men in well over a decade and this is what we get. They could have done so much better and I really feel let down.

Previous Boucheron Perfumes was so great, Classic for men (edp) and Jaipur(edt) are in my favorites.
But this one is so generic, a poor cedar without any soul.
Keep your money to buy the Classic one.

Big mistake. I don’t know why I could and did possibly buy this: it smells synthetic, too abstract, not very elegant and quite difficult to wear in near warm weather. I was trusting the name Boucheron but this one is not the same category as its previous classics.

I just bought this juice today. The sales lady told me it was fairly new and I found it delicious when sprayed on my skin. At first it did remind me of the Gucci Guilty and once it cooled down I did get the trace of the Diesel Only The Brave just like how other people had mentioned before. I’d say it’s a clean blend of the two and I do fancy the smell. Tomorrow I will wear it to work s in an office environment and will see how it fares!

Quatre Pour Homme was launched in 2015, after the female version has been announced. The inspiration was the rings collection of the same name, which has a wide range of options, but which has, as principle, to combine four bands of textures with different types of gold and precious stones, forming a single piece. Hence the reason for the name.
The sales success and the recognition in the market of jewelry was so strong that the company decided to convey the concept of self-confidence and elegance through a pair of fragrances. And the main question is: did they manage to do that?
Well, with respect to the male version, my answer is no. The fragrance is simple, with low projection and with a real sense of disappointment behind. Apart from the bottle, which is beautiful, elegant, well made and that brings a replica of the ring as the lid, as well as a retractable system, the rest is far below the standard of other creations of the House, like Jaipur or Boucheron Pour Homme, for example.
The official composition lists notes of bergamot, lemon and violet leaves, in the head. Then, provençal lavender of Seillans, geranium and Artemisia, in the body (the absolute of jasmine and the roses accord is present only in the female version). Finally, patchouli, labdanum and driftwood in the base.
On the skin, the fragrance is mutant. In one of the times I’ve worn it, the citrus side grew stronger, giving greater elegance and promising something that was not fulfilled. On another occasion, the impression I had was that the fragrance had tonka bean from start to finish. The only thing I felt was a creamy nuance, which remained for hours on the skin.
In short, I think Quatre Pour Homme impresses the eyes, keeping the tradition of conquering the perfume lovers through beautiful bottles. But when it comes to content, if the goal it is to get elegant perfumes, with low projection and good lasting, the competitor Bvlgari can do better.

My juice bottled Jan 1 2015 is a clear colored liquid not blue. Tester in store also clear liquid but noticeable fragrance. Purchased bottle very little to no fragrance.
Checked batch on cosmetic checker showed up authentic.
So why am I not happy and not smell iba fragrance when I test other fragrances of mine and smell odors coming from them? Did I lose out on a game of chance once again or am I always getting Served a bad hand….coincedence or not?
    Update :
Things are looking a little better. There does seem to be a decent sillage coming off this juice. I still need a few days to give the final consensus but I’ve gotten several compliments on it and I just purchased it today.
To me it is exactly was Dior Sauvage is….a high end generic aquatic but it does have some personable qualities to it which the other ones don’t. I purchased my 100ml bottle for $56 no tax so I feel like I got a good deal.
    Next Day :
REALLY liking this…so glad I purchased this and on sale at $56 for the 100ml no tax. What a steal. Very good longevity and moderate to good sillage. Very Happy.

Quatre in my opinion, is middling and somewhat below the standard of the house.
Refreshing opens with a remarkable touch of violet leaf, bringing that aspect ” metallic ” green, but here seems exaggerated and that brings a huge synthetic feel.
Later softens the presence of jasmine, which gives this fragrance some creamy aspect, almost sweet like a vanilla at that time is very similar to the Diesel Only the Brave.
In the base, i get discrete woody nuances and that´s all!
Don’t get me wrong but i expected great things of Boucheron and this one here, disappointed me a lot!
    Rating: 7,5-8/10

Guys, this is 99% version of Diesel Only the Brave. Absolutely similar. The one difference is that Quatre is better in terms of sillage and it is more comfortable to wear the new Boucheron. In other words, Boucheron Quatre is Diesel Only the Brave without any disadvantages.

This perfume Quatre is too anonymous. I bought it, because the saleslady said to me that’s a really nice perfume, it’s new bla bla bla and I took her word of it. When I got home, I smelled it again and put it on me, the scent was not so ‘catchy’ or ‘exclusive’ at all. After 2 hours the scent is gone! I regret that I bought that perfume and I wont recommend it to no one. Waste of your money. The only plus is the bottle, that looks nice.

After 17 years (Jaipur Homme 1998) Boucheron makes its 3rd male perfume.
And it’s this??? We had to wait 17 years for this release?!

  21. :

I do agree on the Gucci Guilty comparison but this is more of a improvement on the concept with better quality. Seeing the bottle and the color of the jus I was not expecting anything in the likes of Jaipur or Boucheron Pour Homme.
I do disagree on this being a weak fragrance it is a very diffusive scent that projects. I spayed only three shots to my inner arm both others and I could detect it around me all day. I got a good 10 hours of longevity again it comes down to being a more quality product.
    5/10 for originality
    9/10 for performance

Boucheron Quatre pour homme is a very very good perfume. Even if I, personally, tend to hate soapy perfumes in general, the fact that I liked this one tells me of how good it really is and how happy a man can be with this perfume if he appreciates soapy ones.
Quatre pour homme opens citrussy and then jasmine takes center stage much like it’s female counterpart. However what shines the most here is the violet leaves! This makes it soapier than the female version. Finally, the woody undertones of this perfume takes it more to the masculine side but it’s still fairly unisex.
All in all… I really don’t get how it’s compared to Gucci Guilty and Made to measure! The two have not a single note in common with Quatre (Except for Gucci Guilty having cedar in it too) but really jasmine don’t smell like lavender!
this is a classy scent for mature men (intellectually) and a very good one that lasts a good time and have heavy projection. So be careful of over-sprays.

Yes this one is much like Gucci Guilty, and a bit
like Gucci made to measure too, not very strong, not long lasting,
not worth buying for the little time that it smells good.

Tried it today (on wrist). It immediately reminded me of Gucci Guilty. Quatre is maybe a bit more on the aquatic side.
Not much character, can’t say I like it.
