Description

Bentley launches a new fragrance inspired by seacoast air and a relaxing ride along the shore. Its name is Bentley For Men Azure and it comes in a bottle where colors vary from pale gray to blue. It is a relaxing blend of notes, giving the impression relaxing at the sea side with salty air caressing the senses.

Top notes of fresh citruses include juicy pineapple and herbal aromas of violet leaf. The heart emphasizes pepper, lavender and sage surrounded by tea and placed on the base of cashmere wood , tonka bean and orcanox molecule .

The fragrance is available in bottles of 60 and 100 ml EDT. Bentley For Men Azure was launched in 2014.

I really love Bentley Intense, but this one is just a synthetic mess. The harsh violet combined with the watery synthetic cucumber is very unpleasant. no no no Bentley

Honestly I was expecting way more from this since Bentley For Men Intense is a really well-made perfume and Azure has been recommended by one of the best Youtube reviewers, Max Forti.
Unfortunately this time I don’t agree with him, this smells very generic, a mixture between a cheap modern supermarket aftershave and a deodorant/body spray.
It’s also quite pungent and might induce headache, in this it reminds me a lot of Sauvage EDT (not so distant from that one in general, they don’t smell the same but share the same vibe).
At first spray I found it very pleasant and tought it would be a good one but after about 20 minutes I started to find it really boring and banal.
It’s not classy, it’s not sexy, it’s not even the freshest summer cologne you can think about.
It’s not terrible and not even bad, it’s just… just what it is.

This is another easy PASS for me but luckily i didn’t spend a whole lot on this fragrance.
Bentley Azure opens up with a very sharp, green opening that’s also semi fresh and reminds me of a Chrome United but Chrome United is way better. What kills my boner for this fragrance is it has this really pungent, sharp plasticy note that reminds me of the smell of a hospital. In the mid it does get better and the pineapple makes this more sweet while the tea note smoothens this out but that plastic note is still there making it unpleasant.
I can’t comment on performance as I wore this for an hour before my fiancée asked me to please scrub it off because it was giving her a headache. Which just backed the fact that this stuff is cheap and unpleasant.
Overall rating — 3 out of 10! If it didn’t have that plastic note this might at least be ok but even then it’s nothing amazing.

    Fantastic. Another belter from Bentley.
I too get that harsh ‘hair-spray’ vibe in the opening which could, I guess, be the combo of Violet, Lavender and Pimento shouting the loudest.
10-15 minutes in and those harsh chemical aromas fade and the magic starts to happen. A classic, masculine, fresh, warm, oceanic-green scent. The closest I can think of are Green Irish Tweed and Cool Water but Azure is still different from these.
I picture me in a freshly washed linen shirt, a faint breath of sun lotion, Lime trees and a see breeze in the air…..while enjoying some Mediterranean sun as I lean against the grill of my Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible Black Edition. 🙂
    Update 29/06/2018: 2nd wearing.
It’s 27 Celsius here in the UK today – we’re having a heat wave at the moment (long may it last). Anyway, immediately reached for Bentley Azure this morning and put a good 5 sprays on. Yep I really get the Pineapple this time. Front and centre. Accompanied by soft Violet, Pimento and Lavender. I think I can smell a faint citric orange or Bergamot note lurking in the background but they are pretty much muted. Boy oh boy this is a real gem of a fragrance – absolutely at the unisex end of the scale for masculine scents but stil definitely a men’s style fragrance. I am gonna be rocking this all summer.
That makes 4 Bentley’s I’ve tried so far (B for Men, B for Men Intense, B for Men Azure and B for Men Infinite Intense) and all have impressed. I reckon I need to try me something from the “Momentum” line. 🙂

Man I love this shit ha. So the initial spray is slightly off putting due to this hair spray smell my nose gets , but that fades quickly to reveal a fresh manly smell that lasts for hours. I was told ” you smell like a fucking man” by a women I hugged. I’m gonna buy another bottle once mine is gone.

Despite the price tag which is very low, the scent itself is not worth it, too synthetic and too cheap, I regret blind buying this one.

  8. :

Very underrated spring, summer scent. Insane longevity. I can still smell a bit of it on my skin after 24 hours and a shower. It’s a no brainer if you buy it from the online discounters.

  9. :

    4 out of 5

Way underated for the price, I get good longevity, sillage and more important compliments.Very good clean (green not marine) everyday scent, is it Creed, of course not, but for everyday and $30. for the 3.4 oz. I say absolutely. At the very least, put it in your gym bag.

  10. :

    5 out of 5

Very very weak. It is the most generic cologne smell I can think off. Imagine your aftershave, hard core barbershop, or just the one you put on after shaving, like old spice, denim… It is the same. A looot of alcohol on top, some pineapple but I don’t get it a lot. It goes away very fast and then it’s lavender and violet leaf galore all the ways. After 3 hours, it’s gone, or it lingers as a very weak skin scent. Absolutely nothing to write home about.
I expected a lot more since Bentley Intense is a niche quality level frag and a performance is excellent. This is really, nothing special. You can get a similar frag at any store, any aftershave will do and it will be in the same realm with this one.
Personally, I would put this on my bathroom shelf and probably never reach it. This is light years away from VPH, or some citrus based like Jimmy Choo Ice Man or DH Cologne or even L’Homme Libre which has Violet Leaf and it is such a gorgeous frag.

After not really caring for the smell of Azure on paper, I decided – against my first instinct – to try it on myself today. I had the day off, so what the heck, right?
Wow. To my amazement… Whatever disagreed with me on paper was a complete non-issue on skin. This stuff is flat out gorgeous to me – a combination of notes that are both strange and familiar, and nothing I would ever have thought would work for me.
Opening: Sweet, bright citrus, not so much pineapple to my nose (unlike Aventus, for example), but more mandarin or tangerine. This, blended with a potent, edible smelling violet accord that reminds me of Choward’s violet candy (look it up).
Early dry down: Citrus fades into the background, violet steps up even more. Sweet vanillic tonka creeps up and brings with it some pepper. The combination reminds me very much of Jimmy Choo Intense – which I also like – and when added to the violet note, really makes this smell like money (figuratively). Totally unique composition in my experience, absolutely brilliant.
As a sweet floral aromatic (to my nose) this veers much closer to unisex than anything I’d ever think to wear personally – but I still dig it. I don’t care for sweet florals in a men’s scent, but I will wear this stuff without reservation – it’s that good.

Just bought this on my way from Amsterdam to Stockholm via KLM airlines, bought it while i was on the plane, they had a good deal so i bought it.
I tried it the second day, it’s a decent cologne with somewhat a reasonable longevity. I think it stayed a max of two hours on my skin. It might varies according to the skin type and stuff.
    I give it 6/10 🙂

  14. :

    The freshest freshie fragrance ever?
It may be presented like an aquatic, but no; this is far classier than your typical Nautica. It gives an aura of mature cleanliness, with just enough of a fruity touch to keep it fun and interesting. Such fragrances tend to be synthetic, but I think this is much more natural smelling. It’s hard to overspray this one.
Azure opens with a lovely violet leaf note blended remarkably well with pineapple and other citruses, but the dry down is where it truly shines: a subtle strength. Because of this, I think this fragrance has good versatility during the warmer months. You can dress up or down with it.
Blind buy safe, for sure. I don’t think many will dislike it.

Smells fresh, a little bit sweet, for mature people and definitely can be used for formal occasion.
It’s rare for me for a fresh fragrance that can be used for formal occasion.
Usually peoole use sweet or dark fragrances.

Wow! bought a sample few days ago and I’m impress. A fragrance made by Bentley and it does smell expensive like his name.
First, it’s a blast of pineapple, violet, lavender and tea note with and airy vibe! Then, this accord turn in a metallic vibe similar to Azzaro Chrome which the pineapple, the lavender and violet are more present, the other notes are detectable. Then, it finish by a metallic vibe of tonka and tea (damn it smells like money)
Versatile as well (casual, dates, office, even to ”dress to impress”)
    nice longevity 8hrs
good compliment factor similar to Azzaro chrome
    but ”more mature” scent 25+
    9/10 ( a home-run considering it’s a car company fragrance house)

Gave this a wearing today, a day after purchasing it for a good price. I like the scent overall now, but before I wasn’t a fan. I was first introduced to it back in the UAE, and it just didn’t mesh well with the heat. It is the fact that the leather note is very predominant and in a stifling humid heat became instantly cloying. Now, fast forward to a spring day in France and BOOM! Bentley Azure makes sense. This is a spring only scent. The packaging is all wrong, when you see the crystal blue bottle we think of Azzaro Chrome and a clean aromatic freshness. With Bentley its leather and a bit of citrus, pineapple, sage, a good dose of sea salt, and more leather. So after sitting down to a coffee it all hit me! The makers of this scent may have made a car commercial either by accident or fully on purpose. When one takes in all the notes we can smell a theme (if that is possible?). What is the theme? I feel that this scent encapsulates the smell of new car interior leather and the saltiness of the seaside. So basically you are driving on the Cote d’ Azur (hence the name Azure) in your new Bentley with either top or windows down! Just driving down the coast on a beautiful spring day! Well, that was my caffeinated brain working on over drive on a scent theory and I think it works… my mind was racing… groan gasp terrible pun (must switch to decaf). In all seriousness it is a well crafted scent, but do not think summer on this one think spring. I think this scent should be worn on a stroll by the shore especially if it isn’t Le Cote d’ Azure or you are not the owner of a Bentley!

I like this one very much. By far the best one from the 3 I own from this house (Azure, For Men Intense, Infinite Intense).
It’s fresh and classy, with a very nice and quality pinapple vibe to it. It reminds me a lot of Montblanc Legend. This one possibly slightly softer.
    Average projection and longevity.
Highly recommended for Spring / Summer / hot weather.

Nice looking box, good looking bottle even better fragrance.
It smells like…have you ever walked passed a laundromat and get hit with that lovely clean scent.
Well, that’s what this fragrance has going for it.
I paid $21 for a 3.4 Oz bottle, it doesn’t go outside of your personal space. And last about 4 to 6 hours.
    I’d buy another bottle anytime.
Once i finish the one i have.

A very nice clean laundry by the sea scent. Not aquatic at all, and the violet is more prominent than pineapple, which i only get a dry aspect of.
Like a cool breeze; graceful and underrated.

I have to admit to being impressed so far with the Bentley line of fragrances, Although Azure is not really my cup of tea I like what it does and it projects and sustains well. It is very good value for money in my humble opinion.
I’d definitely recommend trying before you buy as this one is quite unique.
To me the notes here don’t really convey what it smells like, I pick up a strong sea-salt vibe and this gives the scent a cool demeanor (which is what the marketing is going for) but would probably be good for milder/colder days too as there are some herby notes as well.
Of note, this is one of those scents that smells different depending on the wearer, I noticed when my younger brother tried it (he has very dry skin) it projected well yet seemed softer.
Also the 100ml bottle looks fantastic, really weighty and classy.
    Good Stuff! 🙂

The first spray from the bottle reminds me of the watery citrus and soapy scents of Versace Man Eau Fraîche and Davidoff Cool Water except Cool Water is more in your face with the citrus and soapy scents (not complaining). I have all three and love them like children! I have both Mont Blanc Legend and Intense versions. This is nothing like them to my nose. It’s a keeper bought blind.

Love this perfume. It’s a long lasting mature fragrance with a very good projection. It can be used all year around except for snowy winter months. Can be a great signature scent for anyone above 30 years old. It sure is a keeper.

This is a perfect scent for business, the office, a warm afternoon or semi casual evening affair.Clean, mature and not in your face. The more I wear this the more I love it, it’s so sophisticated and clean.
Update, this has become my favorite warm weather, everyday go to fragrance and I’ve been getting compliments up the kazoo. Soft and clean and natural smelling.
Update, after applying to the usual spots I sprayed a couple of shots of Insurrection II Pure Reyane Tradition for men, another inexpensive fragrance up in the air over my head. The results is a young woman stopped me in a shop, and this was a couple of hours after application, to tell me how great I smell. need I say more. This was in the spring / summer.
You don’t have to spend a fortune to smell really good. Of course if you’ve got it, go for it and smell freak’n great.

    cool and appropriate daily intake
In addition, the combination of citrus and pineapple lily , sage . Tea leaf . And pepper, tonka and lavender work to see that the durability it has doubled.
It may not smell very special to me
    But…
When mostly non- wearing cool things we are unhappy , especially in summer, so without a doubt , something considered reliable and perhaps become one of the strengths of this work.
For a moment the fragrance evokes Givenchy ultra Marin.
Something fresh, with the player and good durability , reasonable prices and of course a worthwhile.

Just got a sample from decantshop the other day and have been wearing it since. I will definitely be purchasing a full bottle.
It projects well for a couple hours then tones down but even the toned down skin scent I find is quite strong and still actually projects. It stays like this for about 8 to 10 hours
Understand that all noses are different and my review is totally subjective and this is what I GET, which is quite possibly different from others’ noses. I’ve heard ppl compare this to GIT and cool water, I own both of those and do not see any similarity other than they are fresh scents. Azure does not have a green feel and I dont get much of an aquatic either.
Opening: citrus fresh aromatic dominates a new luxury car with leather interior smell
One hour in: The citrus fades and the leather rises to even itself out with the fresh aromatic and the new car smell.
After about three hours: The leather becomes dominant, it gets richer and more vivid. The fresh new luxury car smell is still present but takes on a wingman role and compliments the leather.
One of those scents that boosts your confidence and you subconsciously walk a little more upright, hold your head a little higher (not in a snobby way but in a man in total control of himself kind of way)

smells a bit synthetic but its just fine to me.
burst of pineapple at the opening remind me Montblanc Legend, yes they have similar vibe but this is sweeter than montblanc.
but seems a bit linear for me :((

Not up to standard of Men Intense but still interesting enough.
Nice fruits with tonka and I can not smell any pepper.
The only thing that prevents me from really liking this one is that mentioned salty impression which after sometime is not pleasent. Realistic for sure, but personally not enjoyable. Like aftertaste of having a glass of sea watter in Adriatic. Can’t see it as a frequent peace in my rotation.
Still, As said interesting and I am sure many will appreciate this scent.
    Longevity very good, projection moderate.
    Decent.

You can easily blind buy it if you are a fan of Cool water

This fruity aromatic rests perfectly somewhere between MB Legend and Dior Sauvage (without the ambroxan). The quality is nice and performance is amazing, lasting well over 10 hours on my skin, which is pretty rare. Not only for spring/summer, the woodsy notes add enough substance to perform throughout the colder months as well. If you are a fan of the genre it is definitely worth a try. Azure is my best blind buy to date and has moved to the top of my list (for now lol).

First impressions. After 10-15mins of opening box.
    Very disappointing and unoriginal.
I bought the fantastic Bentley for Men Intense blindly a couple of weeks ago, and was hoping for a similar successful blind buy with this. Sadly similar to Azzarro Chrome Legend. Very soapy and similar to some of the Lynx (Axe) type of body sprays.
I bought the 30 ml travel size as I’m going to the Canaries next week, but I really can’t see myself taking this when I have such a decent collection already.
This was bought from a reputable online supplier, but due to not reading the ad . properly, ended up with a perfectly acceptable plastic travel spray in a felt pouch, just not the high quality bottle supplied with the larger bottles that I was expecting, but in all honesty, befitting of it’s contents!
After writing the above, it’s now at 23 mins, and is slightly smoother now. This could be okay for some people, but not my usual taste for sure.
I already had some Beltley for men intense sprayed on my other hand a couple of hours before I sprayed this, and the Intense is a completely different beast – smooth, sophisticated and long lasting whereas Azure seems to be a Chrome Legend clone. So glad I only got 30 ml!
40 minutes in, no redemption for this one with time. Anyone who really loves and collects scents will be mystified why a luxury car maker would put its name to a scent that smells like a car air freshener wafting from the open window of a Vauxhall Corsa!
For the price of a full bottle of Azure, you could actually buy the very similar Azzarro Chrome Legend (in a similar looking bottle) for half the price, any of the Bvlgari summer scents for 25% less, or for around the same price, the infinitely superior Kenzo Pour Homme.
For me, I will be sticking to my trusty collection, and selecting 3 or 4 from Boucheron, Guerlain, and Lalique for my week in the sun!

This is a very nice fresh scent alternative to Mont Blanc’s Legend Intense. It may even be a better option with all factors considered.
Azure has a fresh almost soapy vibe going on making it perfect for warm weather. This scent is not quite beastly (12+ hours) but considering the style of fragrance, it can be considered a beast among its peers so to speak. I got 8+ hours wearing it and it projects well throughout as i receive many compliments when i put this on.
The main difference between Azure and Legend Intense is sweetness and performance. Legend Intense is way more sweet due to the apple and synthetic amber which makes it far better suited for a younger person of the two scents. Azure is more mature and sophisticated. The dry down smells of success which I’d imagine is what heads of the frag division of the Bentley brand was aiming for (although they simply made a more mature version of a known scent). Performance wise its a clear win for Azure. Azure lasts a lot longer than Legend Intense and projects more for a longer period as well.
This is also a versatile scent. It can be worn dressed up or down and can be worn year round due to its above average performance. I believe it would shine most during warmer weather but this can definitely be the skeleton key for all situations and all seasons.
Drawbacks to this scent is that it could be considered a clone which in it self isnt a horrible thing at all unless your a frag snob. If this describes you, you may want to skip this. But this scent has made me neglect Legend Intense. I barely reach for it now and that says a lot. Other than that critique this is a great fragrance worthy of a buy.

A very well blended balance of fresh and fruity. No one note really outdoes the other a far as the pineapple, tangerine, violet leaf and lavender. I blind bought this in March I believe based on how much I love the Intense version and the pineapple note. This fragrance is definitely one of the better summer scents available as it has great longevity “6-9” hours on my skin with average sillage. Priced at under 40 bucks makes this a no brainer!

This fragrance IMO is one of the better aquatics that are out there. I’ve tried many different kinds through the last few years. This one smells fresh just like being near the ocean. I get perplexed how they can make a fragrance smell aquatic yet there’s no water notes in it, like this one. This is one to consider if you’re looking to get an aquatic fragrance, but try it first. “Decant Shop” which is a online fragrance sample business does sell decants of this. 🙂

Picked up a bottle of this at ROSS for $30 100ml. Blind buy bc I havent seen it at any other local fragrance store.
As a few others have mentioned, this frag seems to be aiming for a GIT vibe. Ive only sampled GIT a few times so will not say for certain how similar they are. But from what I recall, there is similarities.
This frag performs pretty well on me so well worth the money spent.

Azure seems to me like the safest offer between the compact Bentley creations line. Certainly it was made for whom enjoy sport or aquatic fragrances, e maybe due this it follow the rules of this genre, which make it difficult to be a composition that stand out, but certainly seems like one thas been properly done inside the contraints of this genre. Azure opts for a combination of citrus, a light tea aroma and a violet leaf instead of a properly aquatic aroma. The combination is refreshing and light, a subtle tea and violet leaf combination that reminds me of Gucci Pour Homme II in its second phase, after the hot tea and spices has gone. I like the pineapple note in Azure, it’s not loud but it’s not absent either – it seems to develop in parallel with the soft citrus and tea structure, adding to it a pineapple aroma which seems more fresh and less ripe than the common interpretation of this fruit. Azure develops at its final phase into a mineral, ambery soft aura, something that could be very well musk and discreet use of ambroxan. It’s more of a fragrance to wear daily, going towards a second skin fragrance. It’s not enticing, but also doesn’t seem to disappoint and it does what it propose to do.

IMHO, this is a classy Spring/Summer scent. Fresh, clean and classy.
While it has similarities to other fragrances, I do like better than those others.
Best worn on a warm day while wearing crisp clean clothes. Good for formal situations too.
I love all the Bentley range. I have them all except the $3000 bottle.

If you like “Cool Water” or “Nightflight” by JOOP!, you may wanna give this a try.
It is very MOR (middle of road) and will appeal to the masses. If you are a niche fragrance, aspirational perfume connoisseur, you may not like it.
It is better than many modern aquatics and both the luxurious packaging and price point make for an exceptional gift for a car lover.
Great summer fragrance for someone who wants to “play safe” and prefers the conventional.
    Great sillage and longevity.

Sadly, I have to admit that this Bentley fragrance is a really big yawn for me. I was really looking forward to it — given the interesting line-up of notes — but it’s just way too duty-free/drug store smelling for me. Nothing at all of interest in this one: from start to finish it’s totally ordinary and uninspiring. Perhaps if they gave the paprika a MAJOR starring role it might have been salvageable, but it’s virtually unnoticeable and consequently the fragrance really is very ho-hum. Given the price I paid for to have it shipped from overseas, this is definitely my sorriest blind buy in years.
    Longevity: long lasting
    Sillage: heavy

    Hi all
I have smelt this – its available from Harrods (March 2014) and everywhere else from April 2014. Was in London two weeks ago.
Opening & middle are very much of a Cool Water/GIT vibe, but dry down is much warmer.
No price on it at Harrods, but RRP for 100ml is (c) £ 60 – have seen on ebay for £ 48 + £2 pp

I agree with Jacob. Come on guys, it’s only February 2014 and this cologne comes out in March 2014. You guys are messing up the purpose of having a survey on this website. Think about the people who does blind buy and they base their decision to buy a cologne on your votes most of the times.
Most people are not so rich to have a collection, most people just have one cologne at a time.
Not crying about this or a big deal to me, but let’s just do the right thing here and help eachother out by not messing up the surveys. Thanks guys.
