Description

Attimo (“Moment”) is a new fragrance for women by the house of Salvatore Ferragamo arriving on the market in September 2010. The fragrance encompasses a floral bouquet laid on a warm, elegant, woody base.

The composition of this fragrance will not be similar to the other candy-like, flirtatious editions, but the accent will be on elegance and fine, floral notes.

The top notes of Attimo offer fruity aromas of nashi pear and delicate lotus flower. The heart incorporates a floral blend of gardenia, peony, and frangipani, while the base features a trail of musk, cedar, and patchouli.

The fragrance arrives in a transparent glass flacon, and the liquid is coloured in gentle beige.

A floral fruity scent with musky and citrusy sensation. Good smell but nothing will surprise you. Mine already 4 years but only use couple of sprays less than 5ml i think. Almost full bottle since the day i brought it home. I think i need more years until i finally love this scent hehe

This is the one perfume that I could wear forever!
This warm fresh fragrance caught my attention 6 years ago and I have been addicted! I feel the lotus, pear, frangipani and cedar wood pop on my skin and this powerhouse fragrance is the strongest I have come across! Stays on me for over 6 hours. SILLAGE is strong enough to fill a room in about 4 spritz !
Perfect for fun loving yet strong women who love to make a mark! Signifies an elegance unlike any other fragrance!
If I were to choose a celebrity this perfume reminds me of it has to be Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, the most beautiful woman in the world!

I love pear. That’s why I bought this. A light pear fragrance for the summer.
Unfortunately pear does not stay to hang around. She only stays for a short visit on the opening. At the middle, she starts to collect her things and by the dry down she’s gone for an extended stay with Hermes’ Un Jardin Sur Le Toit. All that’s left, is some not very pleasant cumin skin scent. (Emphasis on “skin”).
There is clearly a different price point between the two. I suppose I could reapply every 1 to 2 hours to bring back the pear, but I like my perfume to work for me, not the other way around.
As far as inexpensive clean scents go, there are many choices. I prefer Ferragamo’s F Fascinating. The only attractive thing about this one to me is the pear, which fitting to it’s name, solamente rimane per un “Attimo” (only remains for a moment).

I got a sample bottle as a complimentary gift which lasted me for a week. It has a nice floral and a very relaxed opening for the scent. Imagine reading a book under the sun in your garden that’s what it smells like. It’s drydown is very subtle which is just perfect for me. I would love/buy this scent if it has better sillage and longevity.

I got a miniature of this as part of a gift. It’s not quite my thing – smells pretty similar to lots of other inoffensive but quite tedious perfumes. Other folks here compare it to Idyll but I can’t even remember what that smells like so can’t add an opinion there.
That shampoo-like slightly screechy peony, the fruity bit and (sorry to say) nasty aquatic edge that reminds me of things like Eternity, L’eau d’Issey and Tommy Girl. The bubble bath floral thing reminds me of Dior’s Forever and Ever.
So if you like those you’ll enjoy this!

I have Idylle EDT and have tried Idylle EDP in stores. Attimo is practically a dupe for the EDT but it has even more in common with the EDP which has a dusty basenote that’s missing in the EDT. I prefer Attimo to Idylle EDT and it may compare quite well to Idylle EDP as I recall it being pretty identical. Congratulations Ferragamo! Another winner!

i just got a 30ml bottle of this lovely thing. It smells like Guerlain’s Idylle duet very much. However to my surprise there’s nothing in common about the notes when i compare the two, except patchouli. Can patchouli be so dominating?
Before i used this, i didn’t expect much of the longevity. Because SF is not very good at staying power. But this one is amazing. I put on some before went to bed and woke up at dawn feeling surrounded by the fragrance.
i like Idylle duet which a piece of floral art. And i found this Attimo more economical. It’s ok for all seasons.Well balanced and elegant. Not mysterious nor deep matured. Just decent and proper. I’m satisfied with its staying power. Attimo means “Moment” and this moment can be long. At least on me it is.
The bottle is beautiful too. i already had a 30ml Idylle duet. I’ll try to find out the difference of them and give an addition to this comment.

a great summer scent, I am not verry pleased with the sillage, not verry strong, cause I really like people asking me what I am wearing, but the scent is really really nice! as my 7 years old boy said to me :”mommy this is my favourite, this smells so nice and warm like the sun”

  9. :

I’m confused. Several people mentioned this is a dupe of Idylle by Guerlain, but above shows only Idole d’Armani with 3 people agreeing it smells like Idole. To my knowledge, those two are nothing alike. Are people confusing the name Idylle with Idole? If so, which one does it smell like?

Indeed Attimo is a much more affordable alternative of Idylle. Judging by the notes I knew that I was gonna fell in love with it. It’s absolutely feminine and beautiful floral perfume. Perfect for springtime and romantic evenings. Sillage is excellent on my skin.

A nice everyday scent, but unfortunately on my skin it smells masculine.A nice fragrance but nothing special.

Delicate, elegant, sophisticated! I still have some left. I use it on formal occasions and mainly in spring. It was quite hard to find when i bought it in 2012 and i am wondering if it is still around…

I saw this at TjMaxx and after reading Jasonchickerson’s review I had to try it. I’m not sure how intimidating it is, but I wouldn’t put in the friendly category either. It says, “I’m a modern, chic woman and don’t need any help.” It actually reminds me of Champs Elysees on some level but lighter and fruitier. It must be the lotus mixed with the magnolia that gives it an edge I just don’t care for. After an hour or so the magnolia dies down and it balances out into a slightly botanical, slightly sweet floral. There’s a distant memory of cedar, but otherwise I don’t get any of the base notes.

I’ve been looking at this for some time, and finally decided to buy. Its a pretty floral, and I love the nashi pear note in the beginning. It’s not an outstanding fragrance but its suitable for wearing anywhere. I like it better than similar florals I’ve tried in the same price range, and think its quite likely that I’ll keep a bottle in my collection.

  15. :

Atimo is a very nice perfume, esp. For it is price, i find it a good, refreshing, kind of fruity scent and it does last for a while (6 hours an average, according to the weather and type of activity you doing as well) and with a very good sealage as well

  16. :

Not really a review, but I reviewed the other one. I can say this one is much better. Balanced and delicate. It didn’t blow me away, but there is nothing to dislike about this one. It’s predominantly floral and slightly fruity, I don’t get any aquatic scents though. It’s a very safe option if your looking to buy someone a gift, it wont ever offend. Very discreet, barely there at times, likely to go unnoticed but pleasant all of the same. It isn’t unique enough for me personally and I doubt if I bought it I would ever wear it. But yeah, I would say it is perfect as a gift as it is very safe.

This one has a wonderful balance, not so overpowering, Kumkuat and Nashi pears make it exotic and feminine. It is a wonderful, delicate, sensual. It is perfect for any occasion.

just a copy smelling profile of idylle from guerlain and its flankers. Beautiful yet elegant. With blast of white flowers at the beginning make it smell the same as idylle. Dry down is luxurious and warm woody. For a growth-up wannabe girl or someone wanna smell like using guerlain idylle top seller with half the price

Shine and bright but not long-lasting. At the end of the working day I hardly remembered what perfume I was wearing. For those who love fresh and sweet scent.

  20. :

    A beautiful, sparkling white fragrance.
I find the opening soft, sparkling and beautiful. The lotus and pear are sweet, soft
    and gentle.
The white flowers are in harmony and pronounce a white crisp scent.
The musk, cedar and patchouli ground the flowers with a warm but soft footing.
A kiss of cool sparkling champagne in a white flower garden.

No long lasting, but clean and fresh.
I just wear it for my day during using not for special places. i just like it

Yes, this is a composition that has been done before. It wasn’t the first of its kind, surely not the last and certainly not as horrible as the reviews suggest. Synthetic? Hardly, but far from celebrity perfume status. The pear note is quite dominant and collaborates well with both gardenia and peony… two flowers I’m easily seduced by. Both white florals share center stage equally, never outdoing each other. It smells very similar to Idole d’Armani. I’m also reminded of J’adore, only sweeter and more emphasis on white florals. A memory of My Dream Hommage a Marlene Dietrich by Gres Parfums also comes to mind.

gonna buy this for my girlfriend even if i knew she’ll never like it..it’s ok,at least i luv it & am gonna use it for myself…tried it on my skin at the counter before and it last till after shower the next day…

  24. :

    5 out of 5

Unnecessarily strong given how generic it’s composition is. One spritz is one too many. Nothing to write home about.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

    Yes, it resembles Idylle, true!
But Idylle is quite harsh at the beginning and then softens with a lovely peony. Attimo is not harsh at all, is quite linear, definately more pleasant and fresh, while Idylle is not fresh. Attimo is more wearable but less deep and less warm/thick in the dry down (it’s fresh). They resemble a lot, the truth is.
I liked this perfume a lot though I expected something more flowery and less fresh.
I don’t think it’s an unattractive perfume but yes, it’s not unique. It’s very nice for an everyday scent, pleasant, inoffensive, joyfull and playful.

I’ve had this for a few weeks it’s nothing special and may even smell like some commercial shampoo. It fades away too fast too.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

I’m very pleasantly surprised by Attimo!! Though it is what some would call a ‘generic’ floral fruity, I still see the classiness of it. It could be well worn by a woman of any age, who wants to put some spirit on that is appropriate everywhere. Attimo has a bit of the same character as J’Adore by Dior I would dare to say… And the staying power? Believe it or not, it’s great! I have put it on my hand at noon, and I still can smell it now at 7 pm 30, after MULTIPLE washes! My thumbs are way up!

  28. :

    3 out of 5

It reminds me of the typical 90s style fragrance: minimalist, sophisticated and subtly sexy.
And yes, I agree with Jasonchickerson: it could be the fragrance that hovered in the first store in which Pretty Woman (Julia Roberts) came the first time, on Rodeo Drive.
I like it very much, it’ very classy, but I would have liked even more if there was even a touch of suede (or a birch bark note combined with patchouli) inside: it would make it more unusual and fascinating, and less cold and snobbish.
UPDATE: the drydown is more round and tender than the earliest notes… very charming, I seem to smell the inside of a high quality handbag of a classy, self-confident woman of about thirty years.
Attimo has not an overwhelming sillage, but this is in line with the kind of elegant woman represented by this fragrance.
The lasting power is quite good.

The devil doesn’t wear Prada; she wears Attimo.
The creators of Attimo took a woman off the street, dressed her in off the rack jeans, a tee shirt, and sneakers and told her to walk into a Salvatore Ferragamo boutique and ask for service. The liquid in the bottle is not perfume but the distilled essence of the salesperson’s disdain at having to deal with such a lower class of human.
Perfect for a first meeting with your ex-husband after the divorce. Please, don’t wear Attimo on a date with your husband. We men love many qualities in our wives but being highly intimidating isn’t top on our lists.
I would love to give smelling notes, but the individual notes that compose Attimo so inadequately describe its power that I will just say this:Top
    Flowers and 4ct Diamonds
    Middle
    Vindictiveness
    Base
Sweet Cedar and Ultra-Modern Cubic Spaces

Dries down to the smell of everything within your grasp. Not recommended for work unless you’re the boss.

I’ve tried it last month at the salvatore boutique.. and I’m suprisingly amazed by these scent! it’s somehow bring back some memories inside my brain, and i don’t know what is it… but somewhere deep inside my heart i feel something glowing everytime i smell the scent.
this x’mas imma buy this XD

nothing special, it’s very commercial and it’s the same as many other scents on market.it isn’t worth the money ti costs.now every perfumes i smell in shops are all the same, only very special and niche perfumes are worth a try.

I added Attimo to my collection thanks to my sister – onimoka and I am trying to find the right words to describe it…
Attimo is a lovely soft floral fragrance with a distinct pear nectar note infused with woodsy nuances and fortunately to me, free from strong earthy patchouli.
It is a lovely juice for summer and fall; very feminine, romantic, joyful smile inducer.
I don’t have anything even remotely similar in my collection.
In a way, Attimo feels unique even though it is not composed of a huge variety of notes.
I love it. Received it in a swap ”in dark” and I loved it in an instant and that does not happen to me often 🙂
I am looking forward to acquirying a huge 100ml bottle as I can’t imagine coming autumn without Attimo!
It lingers nicely on my skin and does not seem to go faint with every hour, so lasting power is more than reasonable.
Gorgeous! To me – it scores 10/10.
A must have for semi sweet floral lovers.

I got a sample of this lotion at Bloomingdales and the lotion smells just like Tommy Hilfiger’s True Star fronted by Singer/Actress Beyonce Knowles. It has that ocean like backdrop that I smell in True Star. I think the only difference is this one might be a little sweeter but keep in mind I haven’t sprayed this one on my skin yet

Attimo is as exquisite as Salvatore Ferragamo’s signature fragrance. I’ve been waiting for this….

Very nice rich floral, it has it´s own unique smell and nice bottle, I will test it again.

  37. :

at the begining its sweet sour i guess pear and peony – like ” paris in love” nina ricci,
then its become more cypress with a heat of ” soil”.. and the drydown is very like Petal Quartz by Oriflame whice have also in commom with Narsiso rodrigez…
    its nice but nor extraordinary

  38. :

this, surprisingly for a typical floral spring scent, has great longevity!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is also a very nice every day perfume.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

For me it is very much everyday scent! It stays for long time on and has a fresh, a bit citrus-like smell, a scent of happinies and joy! But it has something that disturbes me after it has been apllied. First i like it but then i want to wash it off!
This one reminds me strongly of a lady million or should i say otherwise? 🙂

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Just to express my support for recent Salvatore Ferragamo tendency of releasing ‘Colognes’, I mean citrus Tuscan Soul and more feminine vibrant Attimo. I like both. If you treat it just as ‘Cologne’, at a rather reasonable price comparing to other recent releases, and this style appeals to you, you might start feeling luminous aura as the halo of saints in a Florentine Renaissance painting. Well-done.

  41. :

I’ve tried this today. Nothing much to say. Unattractive bottle and an unoffensive scent.
The house offers much more worthy compositions.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

smells unisex to me, really dry and unattractive….the bottle looks nice but the juice is too boring… not for me…

  43. :

    4 out of 5

well, at the beginning fruits, then flowers and then nothing more… Longesivity is very bad and the smell is so unassuming and easygoing, even I want to give it a few slaps 😀

  44. :

    5 out of 5

The top notes reminded me of a special dear one discontinued… Saphir Boucheron…but then, unfortunately it changes…how I miss boucheron Saphir!

  45. :

    3 out of 5

A bit of mild flowers, a bit of mild fruits, and we get a scent, that you, undoubtedly, smelled before.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

Attimo is a pleasant modern floral.
Starts with juicy pear, a really distinctive note.
After some time the flowers come, forming a very nice accord with clear peony, lotus and light gardenia. Couldn’t detect frangipani.
Later on the fragrance becomes a bit musky, but, even next day, I still can’t smell any woods or patchouli.
As it dries down, the composition reminds me of Boss Woman by Hugo Boss, although they don’t have any common notes.
It encourages me to try Attimo on skin next time.
To sum up – Attimo is a temperate, discreet, very feminine composition for spring and summer days. Highly enjoyable, although not unique.
update: on my skin musk is amplified!

  47. :

    3 out of 5

I can’t wait to smell it, the base notes of Patchouli is a must for me and I’m impatient to smell it mixed with Pear and Frangipani !
According to your description, I think that the bottle is in total osmosis with the juice.
Attimo, a classy name, which reminds us the beauty and the gracefully of our dear Italy
