My fiancé’s signature scent. I’m the fraghead between the two of us and he wanted to find something that we both enjoyed. He loves fresh scents and I prefer warm, but we both gravitate to natural smelling, elegant fragrances. We both adore this one. The citrus and vetiver please his desire for freshness and the warm spices suit my preferences as well.
Overall, this is a sophisticated, masculine scent. It does not shout or demand attention;it’s far to classy for that. There’s a timelessness and agelessness to it, the sort of scent that would feel current in the 1950s and 2050s. I also cannot imagine an situation where it would seem inappropriate. It’s just appealing, natural, and well blended.
It would surprise me to find someone who really doesn’t like this. Great if you want something understated and classic. Excellent as a gift and super safe blind buy.

Looks like they forgot the chilli pepper in this one, on the note listing. Any ways, horrible longevity performance. As a scent its ok, nothing ground breaking. If you need something simple and handsome, its an ok buy.

I like the scent of this one, lots of orange and ginger with some vetiver. I don’t seem to get much else. It’s fresh, masculine and elegant like, but it does feel a bit lackluster….no punch.
The performance is a tricky one just like AdG Absolu, it’s faint, you think it’s all but gone, yet you swear you get whiffs of it hours after. However, Absolu at least projects for the first bit, as Eau d’Aromes is relegated to a skin scent almost immediately.
Overall, it’s a nice scent that aimed to be a zesty fresh gentleman’s frag but maybe came out a little too safe and unfortunately, forgettable.

I’ve tried it few days ago and It’s masculine to the bone, yet elegant and kindly extorts respect from people. Sleeve of my coat still has the smell of it. It lasts short on skin, but on cotton clothes, it’s persistent like a terrier.
Masculine green scent without even one dirty molecule. The only vetiver I’ve found so far that doesn’t smell moldy, musky or feminine.
    Rate- 10/10

If you like Eau d’Aromes go for L`Homme from Lacoste cause it’s very similar and cheaper in terms of price.
Sillage and Longevity are also quite comparable

Very nice scent! Try for yourself. At first can be a bit more of a autumn spice but on dry down it sweetens up to a bit more of an aquatic smell. Longevity and projection is interesting with this one. At times it can all but dissappear and then at times it reminds you its still there and how good you smell! Having said that the scent remains and is one to definitely draw that special someone closer to you. A winner in my books.

Another dissapointment from Armani! If you want smth similar to this, buy Keneth Cole Black. Even the main notes of these two colognes are the same(check it out). Solo Loewe is similar, too. Not worth the big price for this one.

Very good longevity, up to 6 hours! Unique scent. it is sweet and bitter at the same time! you can smell very high quality bergamot and vetiver. I love this scent very much.

This is a nice spring and summer fragrance that may lend itself to the fall as well. Nothing offensive to the nose and does start with a solid citrus mix with vetiver and ginger in the drydown. I do get a slight patchouli wave here and there in the dry down as well. Overall I do like it… Not sure that I love it… For the price it’s ok to blind buy if you are in need of a warm weather scent. Otherwise TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. Enjoy!

I like it a lot. it is a very well balanced mature scent. not a power horse but not weak. I need a kind of mood to use but when it matches my feelings it is a very nice frag. highly recommended

  14. :

    3 out of 5

It’s so soapy! Like that orange soap mechanics use, FastOrange. It’s just more palatable than that.
It’s pleasant and citrus. Like a nicer version of ADG.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

Very intense on the Iso e super super finer creamy woody dry down.
But overall it’s a very safe scent
Spray on skin as it doesn’t last as much on clothes.

  16. :

    3 out of 5

ginger and vetiver are worked very good..good balance. Eau d’Aromes is fresh and spicy…ice , clean, really esthetic, plenty of tea and some provence.citrus parfum
Eau d’Aromes is some light scent…Sillage and longevity is very well.

This might be the weakest perfume ever created 😀
    Lasts like 30 min ?!

  18. :

Sampled this one along with its brothers Eau de Cedre and Eau de Nuit. Eau d’Aromes is definitely the best of the three.
EdA is a lovely orange/ginger fragrance with an underlying herbal floral note, as well as having a several hour life on me.
It kinda reminds me of Pal Zileri’s Colonia Purissima, but more refined – it fortunately doesn’t have the strong lavender like Purissima does. And at a few moments while wearing it, it almost reminded me of Bvlgari Aqva. I guess the herbal notes in EdA were mixing with some sweat and mimicking Aqva’s seaweed.
. All in all, I like it, and I’m gonna have to get me a bottle sometime.
Edit…I should also say that this lasts a good while on me. And just a couple evenings ago, I received one of the best compliments ever. Wore it for the first time with my new boyfriend – he couldn’t keep from burying his face in my chest all evening. Later said (and showed) that it was the first time he’s had someone’s cologne give him an instant arousal.

This one and Code Ultimate are the best Armani scents.
Could be a little bit stronger but still okay. I love it.

I’m living in Antalya TURKEY and most famous thing in Antalya (after sun and beach) orange and orange gardens. Also we have a film festival name is “Golden orange”
I have to say this scent is “GOLDEN ORANGE”.
Smells like orange gardens at early spring time really fresh, peaceful, happy and really YOUNG SCENT. Perfect for all spring and summer season.
    Longevity 8/10
    Sillage 6/10
Scent 8/10 if you addict to orange 10/10

This scent has a huge vintage feeling, but definitely not only for older men.If you are a +25 guy who loves jazz music and 80s funky vibes, just blind buy this.

  23. :

lovely scent, well blended, the orange is not overwhelming. Poor longevity, unfortunately, max. 1 hour and it s gone.

  24. :

A pleasant, very manly scent that has a classic feel to it. A bit lightweight perhaps and by no means original, but a good exercise nevertheless.

It was a gift for my husb and he it quickly became a signature for him.
The LONGEVITY and silage are absolutely INCREDIBLE !

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Way too too spicy for me….it is like more spicy pungent version of colonia essenza of Acqua di parma with no soapy note.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

I really enjoyed this fragrance, it opens with a deep, spiced mandarin infused with ginger and some earth from vetiver and patchouli. It’s nothing like Hermes TDH by the way, despite the similar notes, Eau d’Aromes isn’t dry it’s fuller, warmer and almost incense like.
Very impressive considering I’m not that fond of the original, Nuit I’ll have to try again and Cedre was downright disappointing. I’m glad I like one of this range but it’s nothing super remarkable, it’s quite the smooth, crowd pleaser really. Also, the longevity was an issue, not the worst in the world but only lasted a few hours before becoming a very low humming skin scent.
All in all I have to be positive and say this Armani was worth a sniff for sure and if it was dirt cheap in a sale or something, I’d get a bottle.

I had a tester of this and couldn’t get enough of wearing it, so I eventually bought a bottle. Smells nice in the warmer months. Every time I wear it I feel powerful or successful. Not sure how to explain it but it’s just a nice refined mature smelling fragrance. The longevity is not bad. It’s not as citrusy as people are saying. This smells pretty original too. Nice fragrance.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

It is soft and sensual in a slightly floral way, something always appreciated by me when it comes to men’s perfumes.
No flowers listed, the sage and the orange are there, still it gives the vibe of a “musky-white-floral”. Unexpected and very welcome.
Not really intense or long lasting though.

  31. :

This scent reminds me a bit of
    bvlgari amara, they both have
    that Orange spicyness, and
both have ok longvity and are
    perfect for summer evenings.
And yes they both DO smell great.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

ginger and vetiver notes are very carefully handled… very fine structured.
ginger and vetiver notes maintains its longevity.

  33. :

Wow! Eau D’Aromes is a blast of delicious citrus. At first spray I smell the citrus (mandarin orange, bergamot) mixed with the ginger. Dries down to a very nice sweet vetiver, patchouli. I still detect the citrus in the dry down. Perfect for the hot summer months and nights. I love it!
    10/10

THIS EAU ABSOLUTELY A MASTER PIECE !!! How can someone not to like this fragrance . I own about 50 bottle of perfume, and my misses usually do not compliment me unless it is a great smell. got this one two days ago. every time she smells this one on me she goes wild and keep asking what are you wearing, you smell sooooo good. she just said that I’M NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR THIS ONE WHEN I GO OUT BY MYSELF!

    i give it 8,5/10
you must test it one times…

The first clue regarding the character of Eau d’Aromes is the term “Eau”. It is interpreted “watery” or “lighter concentration”.
I do like the fragrance but Armani made it too weak. It has a very faint orange component with a faint ginger background. It is enjoyable close up BUT has zero sillage. Based on my experience, the fragrance strength is very similar to that of a body spray. Some reviewers have reported receiving complements while wearing it. I’m not sure how as I can barely detect it on my wrists one hour following application.
I predict that Armani will follow what has become an established pattern in the perfume industry – market a light and a heavier concentration of the same fragrance. Perfumers now release a fragrance then release a “fresh” version as a flanker. Others release a fragrance in a lighter concentration then follow it with an “intense” version or a parfum. Many consumers will buy both resulting in higher profits for the perfumer.
Eau d’Aromes will be exceptional in a stronger concentration. The fragrance notes work well together for me. I really enjoy both orange and ginger. However, the existing Eau d’Aromes EDT is too watery and weak for the current market price this fragrance demands. I will wait for the release of an intense or parfum concentration before giving even passing consideration to another purchase of the overly weak EDT concentration. I will then have done what the perfumer wanted me to do from the start – buy both just to get the concentration that should have been released when Eau d’Aromes was introduced.

I am unsure as to why so many people are disappointed with this fragrance, I absolutely love it!
I was doubtful about buying this scent as I head that it is not long lasting, however on my skin, it lasts all day. I put it on at 8am and get compliments at 5pm, so for me, it definitely lasts.
It smells so crisp and modern, and so elegant. I would definitely recommend this!

This is a nice refreshing scent that I’ll probably be reaching for more in the spring/summer. Perfect mix of freshness and spiciness, just an easy scent to wear. I like the ginger and vetiver in it, good combo!

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Very nice and raffiné scent!!! the mix between agrumes and vetyver is just so perfect and fine tuned!!!
I used to love kouros but the first goaty note bothered me a lot.
Eau d’aromes has the same fresh and clean impression with more sun in it
a perfect match for me in summer!!!
Edit : I thought it was quite poor in lasting, but i’ve been surprised to find a sweater i had forgotten at my parents’ home last summer that still smelt it a lot!!! Even my wife asked me why i had changed for my summer fragrance although we were in February… so it’s lasting but not overwhelming!!!
this is a fragrance for real grown adults that don’t need a perfume to express themselves!!!!

  41. :

I’ve tested this. Nice summer citrus based scent. Along the lines of Bvlgari Aqva Amara, L’Eau 2 Kenzo PH, Clinique Happy Men etc.
    Longevity: Average, I guess.
Sillage: Stays close to the skin.
Will I buy this? Definitely yes

i can`t stand this fragrance on me..it`s too overpovering on my skin and this is annoing me…

A sharp, clean, adult, masculine scent that is businesslike rather than friendly and fun. It’s a good scent for work, making you smell very serious and uber professional. I’m not exactly a high-flying businessman, so I can’t see me wearing this one. It’s a good scent though; it just lacks some of the playfulness, romanticism and individuality that I’m looking for in my perfumes at the moment.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

This one is very nice! Eau d’Aromes is zesty and fresh with abundant citruses and earthy vetiver. However, it’s very light and soft. It stays close to the skin making it office friendly and sure not to bother anyone in a crowd.
I don’t find it boring or generic. It’s a well blended everyday summer perfume and does it’s job pretty well. Also, this perfume is not silly… It’s very serious, Sage and Vetiver brings it back down to earth and prevent the citrusses from being too boozy and short lived.
Despite being somewhat weak, it does last a fair bit of time (4 to 6 hours).

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Vetiver and bergamot are nice and strong. Very similar to millions other (cheaper and better) on the market. As much as i would like to say its boring and generic, i must say that does smell nice to most ladies. it does last about 5 hrs on my skin. projection isn’t too great but it can be pulled off well on hot humid day. well suited for the day occasions or office. i certainly recommend not to blind buy it.

A nice surprise from Armani. A fragrance of 100% Olivier Polge style and as I’ve understood his last work not for Chanel. If you like Dior Homme Cologne from 2007 and miss it the new Armani can be a high quality substition. It starts off with a quite ordinary smell of a tangerine peel, but the dry down is pure heaven! The second stage is cotton-y, even milky-y with a sweet warmth of the regular Dior Homme in the background. The final phase introduces some unobtrusive spiceness/ginger to the composition. In fact we get spicier and sweeter fantasy on Dior Homme Cologne 2007 theme.
Unfortunately, Eau d’Aromes is a very light scent that stays close to skin. Nevertheless it is extremely well done.

I received this perfume as a gift for my birthday and i was very happy to have such a perfume, but when i used it i was very disappointed.it was light dose not last for along time and have a poor silage with its citrus common scent which reminds me with YSL (savage) which is very common scent and as a result i wished if i got the older perfumes of Armani like Aqua De Gio.

You can really smell the vetiver very clearly ….
Yes indeed it is very close to “Tom Ford Grey Vetiver ”

Just bought it. It is better if you spray your garments as it holds better there than on the skin. Lovely scent! Very classy for Summer nights.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

I am not entirely sure what value there is in producing a skin scent with a thirty minute lifespan, but perhaps Armani could enlighten us. Aside from the rather fetching bottle, Eau d’Aromes is a feeble simulacrum of Eau Pour Homme, and succeeds only in swelling Armani’s considerable catalogue of deadwood.
The citrus and herbal accord that is briefly created is redolent of its 80s forebear, but never remotely recreates the flawed genius of the original. Eau d’Aromes is forgettable and rather unnecessary.

I still think it’s a nice fragrance, but owning a bottle I have to agree now that sillage seems to indeed be quite non-existent. Disappointing (esp. considering the highish price), since that’s the whole point of wearing a fragrance, isn’t it. 🙂

To reply to Nicholas’ review below. In what way is this for age 50 and up? I’d consider this not limited to any age at all.

  58. :

    3 out of 5

It has a fresh and sophisticated vibe, but one word really comes to mind: mature. This is a new release for men in their 50s and up. I can’t think of many modern scents from big houses directed at this age group; this one appears to be so and I think that is a great thing.
Taking this into account, it doesn’t smell “old-fashioned”, yet is quite uninspiring.

  59. :

Pleasant but familiar. Ginger note reminds me of Kenzo L’Eau Indigo Pour Homme a little, though the Kenzo is a lot more complex. It’s a nice fragrance, nothing more.

  60. :

    3 out of 5

This is a mix of Armani Eau Pour Homme with spices. Right off the bat it’s very citrusy and herbal, which reminded me for a moment of Dior Eau Sauvage. Later on it gets spicy.
    Nice, though nothing really new.

  61. :

It is WOW, this one is very nice summer frag and the balance between the ginger and mandarin gives it an other dimension. It is very romantic and summer-y frag as well as it has a very nice soapy and clean VIBE.

Tried this on a blotter today and the first thought tht came to mind was “I can’t believe they’re trying to sell that same juice in a different bottle over and over again”. Highly unoriginal, the same old boring mixture of fake citrus and fake spices.
