Simply gorgeous! This really shines in colder weather conditions. For me it’s just a wonderful scent which is backed up with excellent longevity and sillage! I highly recommend this one.

If you want a very close knockoff, try Montblanc Legend Night. You won’t find GA Code’s dna here but the scent is almost 95% identical except for the dry down. Lol.

Root beer mixed with PDM pegasus. Creamy, bright, sparkling and sweet. Gets a like from me.

This EDP has really long longevity. The longest lasting scent in my whole collection. That being said, i find it is very light in terms of gaining any attention. Smells like vanilla with a powdery finish, not my most manly scent i have. The original code is a lot better but it doesnt last long.

First impression: just got a sample of this from Sephora and right off the bat it smells like root beer. Not yet sure if that’s a good or bad thing

I’d sum up Profumo as being 2 parts Code and 2 parts 1 Million. You get an equal blend of the two in a way.
The opening is classic code. Sweet citrus with spice from cardamom. It’s blatantly synthetic, yet quite likable.
Then it moves along to a very spicy mid, where I get perhaps a bit of nutmeg and hints of cinnamon. This is the 1 Million stage.
It then dries down to a very nice accord of leather, amber and tonka. The leather is of the smooth modern version, amber is very synthetic and sweet, and the tonka gives the whole affair a vanilla undertone.
At this point it sort of feels like they took Code’s base, and tacked on the sweet spicy base from 1 Million.
But the impressive part is that it actually works.
In a way it’s a more refined and mature 1 Million. Whilst this won’t win any creativity awards, I am sure that Profumo will present decent sales for Armani, and will satisfy the core of the Code customers.
For us fragrance heads, I’d say try this, but accept what it is. It’s an Armani scent. You will not find anything groundbreaking. But if you want a nice, sweet and woodsy scent – try it out.
Longevity is superb. 14 hours at least.

I wanted to like this but alas I don’t. I think it’s the leather note here (that sadly every designer seems to be throwing into their ‘intense’ ‘dark’ or ‘profumo’ frags these days) that puts me off. To me this is not ‘something different’ at all.
If you like spicy leather with amber and tonka then give it a try as it’s a strong one, even if the hype is too.

Another typical sweet/semi fresh tonka scent but out of all those I think that this is my favorite !
This opens up very juvenile, sweet and bubblegummy like many of the typical releases nowadays but in my opinion this is more refined than all of those releases. Once it starts to drydown it retains that sweetness but it starts to also get rich, and you get that kind of marshmallow type of smell similar to the original Armani Code. Also I didnt get this at first but my fiancée said this reminded her of root beer floats.lol…( which is funny because she hasn’t seen a single review on this scent.) BUT I definitely agree with that comparison !
With only 1 spray this projected very well and lasted me 8 hours ( this review is based off a test spray at Sephora)
My fiancées thoughts were that she liked it but didn’t love it and preferred that I wear other scents in my collection that were similar to this. There was also a note in this that she said was kind of girly as well.
Overall rating -7 out of 10 ! Very nice smell but I do agree that there are better scents out there. BUT I do plan on sampling this soon as I could see it being a scent that grows on me after time,

I emptied one bottle last winter. I will not say I did not like it and that I do not recommend it. Code Profumo is a very good powerhouse for sub-zero winter evenings. It provides warmth like a fireplace. Many people like its notes as well as longevity. Well, just “no accounting for taste” – for me it is nothing more than a long-lasting and well projecting scent. It does not bring me any memories from winter and my wife did not enjoy it, comparing to many other winter fragrances.

I bought this fragrance 3 months ago , i love the opening but when it cool down everything change to worse, I just smell synthetic aroma so imo it doesn’t worth it price.

I tried this at a department store today while looking for a perfume for a favorite cousin. I chanced upon this and it made a lovely impression. I’m determined to have it…not for my favorite cousin, but for myself. I don’t care if this is labeled for men. But to be honest, thebdry down reminds me of a root beer soda. Alright, Idc. I love RB anyway, lol. I also have the original A.C. femme version and whilst I’m fond of it, it can be overwhelming. I find this more fresh.
So many other perfumes for men made good impression on me. I’ll start looking into adding male perfumes/colognes to my collection.

The original Code is quite calm and restrained in a pleasantly middle of the road sweetish masculine way. I wore it in my 20s. Armani Code Profumo is like the loudmouth clubbing Mr Hyde to its Dr Jekyll. The original code has a pleasantly citrus powdery fresh opening while Profumo is almost sickly sweet with the cool vibe totally absent from it. The volume is turned way up and when the scent develops instead of powdery milky sweetness the loud ambery vanillic side dominates. It doesn’t smell very natural and the fruits come off as candy like rather than resembling the real thing.
It is not all bad and if you are looking for performance this one has it. The original was nice but especially today it registers as quite weak by projection and doesn’t last long. If you like the relatively modern designer fare this might work for you. I have mainly worn this while out since it performs well in crowded places and has a generic enough vibe to blend in without standing out too much. Wearing this just for enjoyment alone doesn’t really work for me.
It is quite linear in development and doesn’t wow me in any way but I can understand the appeal to guys a bit younger than me. The bottle is very nice looking and the cap snaps off and on very satisfyingly.

    – Tonka leather – ★★★☆☆
Opens up beautifully with an energetic juicy green apple later joined by spices resulting ultimately in an oven baked cinnamon apple accord. An hour in the apple is gone and leather makes an appearance. The base is extremely sweet due to the tonka and boozy amber but the leather is quite bitter and saffron-like and nicely cuts the caramel sugarcoat. The drydown is very linear sweet boozy leather and it lasts for ages. I actually got to know this scent for the first time when my friend wore this to dinner. I asked what the fragrance was, not because I found it sexy or intoxicating, but because it was very radiant and tenacious. Some people think sillage and longevity are all that matters but bear in mind invasion of other peoples olfactory space is not always well received. Wearing a loud fragrance is like wearing the craziest most attention grabbing outfit. If the outfit is quality and thought out, it can work. If it’s just for the attention, it comes off as foolish.
Overall Code Profumo is an easy and safe scent that’ll make you smell great for the whole evening but that’s about it. It has no twists or turns nor any emotional complexity – just a lovely balanced sweet scent. If you ask me I wish it was spicier and more floral. Mugler’s Pure Tonka has a similar theme, but I find it to be better because it exhibits a stronger character with coffee and lavender. This is a scent that will surely garner compliments but if you want something interesting or unique this will not satisfy you. This would work better for a woman who is curious for leather but doesn’t want to go all in with Bvlgari Black.

Tried in store, looking for a dark, musky but bitter wood/coffee-like scent, similar to Dark Obsession, which I had tried before, or Cristiano Ronaldo Legacy Private Label. This was the best in the store – better than Polo Red Extreme, Polo Black and Polo Black Black. Left a beautiful wood scent after scrubbing with soap in the shower. This really is a decent and solid fragrance! BTW, if you are a woman and like this, then check out Sofia Vergara Love.

If I have to choose one sweet leathery fragrance for colder day would go by Prada L’homme intense … More delicious juice than this one! In Armani Code Profumo Heavy leather and tons of Tonka Beans!!!! It burns my nose! Ehhh no thank you

To me, fragrances could almost have a soul, for they induce a variety of feelings and states of mind.
Armani Code Profumo makes me confident and happy. Its sweetness is present for a whole day and that appeases me. It begins by smelling like a fruity sweetness that slowly transforms itself into a powdery-sweet effect, framed by an intensive balsamic setting, strongly spiced and almost animalic.
It can even become intoxicating due to its strong presence and character, inducing you to be absent minded just thinking about the pleasure you get from this magnific scent.
This sweetness is savored calmly and shared with those around us. I even think that they look at me with an edge of an envy feeling due to my face of pleasure. Given the amber aroma that surrounds this soul in the form of a perfume, that pleasure becomes almost liturgical. The Code Profumo “gourmandise” it’s balmy, warm and sweet, strong and smooth at the same time.
I really like it and it’s a safe alluring way to feel happy for an entire day or night. I can sense this scent for more than 12 hours whenever I apply just 3 or 4 sprays.

I went into the Notino shop here in Bucharest to pick up a package, an online order. They gave me a sample of “GA – Code Profumo”. I said I wanted another one because I know this one from trying it in a store. They said that I should wear it 2-3 times (from that 1.7ml sample they gave me) and it will grow on me.
All I can say is that I wouldn’t trade “Al Haramain – Angel” for “Code Profumo” in a million years. “AH Angel” is a more pleasant smell, has the same vibe, lasts longer and for a fraction of the price of this.

This is one of, if not, the best performing fragrances I own.
I get the fact that it smells like 1million etc, but in my opinion it is done much better.
A good friend used to wear it and I always noticed how great it smells in the air and how well it projects. He also told me he only ever does 2 sprays which is impressive for the scent bubble it creates.

  22. :

Armani Code Profumo is e beautyful perfume, but also defect in something and i try to explain it in this my second review after time.
the scent is powerful, very sweet, very direct.
it has the best longevity i ever found in a perfume, but i think is not so versatile.
is not a complex perfume, is quite the same from the beginning to the end, is very, very linear.
a bad thing for me, but good for others, is that projection is extreme and persistence too.
i thing that elegant perfumes, or good perfumes, are not too loud and this one it scream is scent every second.
not for gentleman, but a club king, so it depend who you are.

If you’re in South Africa, just get Yardley Bont St. It’s vanilla instead of tonka, more boozy less spicy, but basically very similar and better for 1/4 the price.

He stood beneath the Japanese plum tree in the garden. In the summertime afternoons it was her favorite place, verdant and purple and green and mocha-grey. The plums hung dark and plump and almost pornographic in their suggestion. After the fall, in the dead of night he stood there, the vibrancy replaced with anthracite and black and color of tightly shut eyes against the first blue light of impending dawn. The once living sugary ripeness of the commingled garden turned to the damp of his dew streaked suede and day-worn hair wax and the skeletons of plum stones left upon the night-swollen roots long since discarded and forgotten by rabbits. His mouth and face kissed now only with cigarette smoke and the remnants of brandy under his tongue. His ears filled only with memories and an un-acknowledged loneliness as the silence of five AM is broken only by his own whispers in rythem with the lone nocturnal driver leaving only a wake of tire noise on a distant street in accidental harmony. A rush of warmth and then gone.
But that tree and those days are gone from him and thousands of miles away. He never did stand beneath it again because she never would. It did not belong to either of them anymore. Yet in his mind there in perpetual twighlight it lives, because for there is the only place she does too.
    Armani Code Profumo.

Armani Code Original is the first cologne I ever owned, and I still remember how much my dating life changed once I started wearing it out on dates.
    Compliment city!
I had never been complimented on my scent before (because I never smelled like anything), so obviously it was all a very new thing to me.
I still vividly remember one of the first truly gorgeous girls I ever slept with texting me later in the day after I left her house telling me how her bed still smelled like me and she couldn’t get me out of her head.

Nothing to say for this one. For me is smell so damm good. Even have great longevity and project well. But the price a bit higher compare to others at the same league. Just one of the best in my collection.

When I initially tried this fragrance I really liked it, however over time I have realised that is quite cloying and ‘compressed’, in a bad way. It smells a bit plastic on my skin.
As a clubbing, ‘loud’, heavy and sweet fragrance, I would pick Versace Eros 7 days of the week over this.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Here’s the thing – so many reviews says one of two things between the lines in reality – it’s either a super mainstream accessible product or its a Holy Grail product that may or may not be over rated.
I love it _ said and done! So what if YOU think its generic – it is – and its a damn good generic!
Reviews exclaiming its a ‘head turner’ or ‘the best ever’ though is putting it out there as a stretch IMO (I know its subjective but thats my point) and indicative of olfactory in experience.
Its a solid well made safe buy is what it is. I love my ADG Profumo and Code Profumo – relatively affordable with top notch longevity and projection at the fraction of the cost of say Parfum De Marly, Creed, Xerjoff or Amouage etc (which I should add sit next to my Armani)
No , if you really want a head turner and to be challenged you’d go for Parfum de Marly Galloway – similar, which will polarise you one way or the other yet it is an extension of this smell with layers that will leave you shocked and questioning your existence in this universe…
I enjoyed some reviews comparing it to petrol with spices – that kinda works – but lordy oh lordy – comparisons to L’Homme Ideal (nah – Nooo leather in that bud so maybe a distant cousin at best – it’s also one of my faves), One Million, CK Obsession(??? really) or Ultra Male or Bubble Gum Vibe – BUBBLE GUM??? (well maybe for a sec in the first spray) – seriously – you’d need a nose or head check if you thought this was a Bubble Gum scent (facepalm now!) in the dry down where it sits for most of the whole day!
and oh if you mean Bubble Gum as in it appeals to a Bubble Gum generation? Well I’d be proud if my son wore this over say the cheapies on the Walmart bottom shelf and conversely if he was wearing Creed I’d want to give him a lecture about priorities in life…
If you also had a problem with longevity I’d ask where you bought it from? Maybe you need to spray a bit more and are you possibly visting from an alternate universe?
This is simply a leather scent with Nutmeg amber and Tonka and a few additional smells to keep it a bit happening – and damn it does it well.
I can’t think of a mass manufacture other than Guerlain that does brilIiant safe cost effective EDP.
I don’t care if once every two weeks I smell like the masses that forked out a little more for my perfume.
Perfume De Marly is my Ferrari, Guerlain is my Mercedes, Armani is my BMW – a BMW is a mass produced car brand that manufacture value for money vehicles that outperform or sometimes match some supercars – I’ve enjoyed my Ferrari and i’ve enjoyed my BMW (even though its everywhere and generic)…

  34. :

Im usually a harsh reviewer of fragrances that I deem to be quite light. When i first bought this scent I was itching to get rid of it as I felt its performance sucked but its funny how just sitting on a fragrance and letting time do its thing can really change your perspective on a scent.
This reminds me of a tonka heavy sweat Armani take on Pacos 1 million and I still believe that to be the case but it also holds itself as a really quite enjoyable fragrance to wear in its own right. To me it is along the same lines as Tom Ford Noir Extreme but winth a tonka sweetness instead of kulfi or whatever the gourmond sweetness aspect of Extreme is.
Performance on me seems pathetic to be honest but somehow I dont find that to annoy me to much now, if someone comes in close quarters they will pick it up and im sure they will pick up my sillage and maybe, just maybe, they may get a woft after about 6 sprays within the first hour or two.
Quite enjoyable but certainly not an amazing performer.

    Wow this one is interesting.
Upon first spray I thought this smelt familiar and couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but then I remembered. It smelt like the inside of a porta john.. I gave it a few hours to drydown and was amazed.
If Armani Code and 1 Million had a baby this would be it. The longevity of this is amazing, yet it’s much more subtle than 1 Million.
Very good fragrance although it doesnt beat the original.

The gorgeous YouTuber Demi Rawling finds this to be the sexiest scent on a man. Not a woman. A man. And when a lady of such class, feminity, and beauty is memorized by a fragrance made for men, it’s worth checking out.
Personally I prefer the original Code, it’s one of the best formal or semi-formal men’s colognes ever made. But almost ever woman I’ve asked prefers Profumo over the original. And let’s face it gents, the ladies have a better nose.

I’m reading all of these comments with beastly performance and i’m thinking: How?? Has it been reformulated in 2018 or is my skin drier than the Sahara desert? Because for me, the performance SUCKS!!
After 30-40 minutes it becomes a skin scent and the sillage is practically non-existent. After 4 hours i can’t perceive it even if I drill my nose into my skin. I can’t believe how bad it performs, at least on my skin, which is a shame because it smells really good 🙁
The cheaper Stronger With You outperforms this ‘profumo’ concentration by a long haul.

I really like this one and more for the performance then I do the scent. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice scent and I’ve recieved a fair amount of compliments for this one. I mostly get Amber, Tonka, nutmeg and bit of apple.
I usually get only 4 – 6 hrs on average out of a frag but this one lands for sure in the 7 – 8 hr mark (perhaps more) and that I appreciate.
Edit: I forget to mention that the projection on this one is solid. One of the best in my collection along with Valentino Uomo Intense and the infamous Emporio Armani Stronger With You. Projects strong for 3hrs and slowly comes down.

A creamy leathery scent that reminds me of mocha if that makes sense! That’s what I smell on my husband. Definitely a scent for the cooler months.

How come this fragrance isn’t the top 5 most popular fragrance yet?! This is baby is an amazing, AMAZING fragrance. It kinds of remind you of Pegasus from Parfums de Marly, but better! One of the best, and my go-to fragrance whenever I’m going to a formal event at night. This baby works great with a suit or a tux. It smells luxurious, sophisticated, aromatic, whoo I’m hyped!
Agreeing with some of the reviewers below me, this bad boy does smell like Cherry Coca Cola…a little. However, this bad boy gets the job done. And what’s the job you ask? To get girls! Almost every Armani Code fragrance is a good starter for the
new beginners. The normal Armani Code(DNA) is getting to mainstream so in my opinion this is a better choice to start of with. The amber in Armani Code Profumo makes it more smooth and not so spicy like the normal armani code is.
The scent is very pleasing and fun. Not so classy as the normal Armani Code, but it is a paradox between Armani Code and 1 Million. Scent: 7.5 Longevity: 6.5

This is one stunning fragrance. It is the only male fragrance in my wardrobe and I looove it. The amber, Tonka and spices come together in a wonderful way. I love that tiny hint of apple in the opening, it is fleeting but teases you into wondering it you just imagined it.
Wearing this before bed on a winter evening leaves me feeling cosy and cherished.
The other thing I love about it is the bottle. It feels solid and reassuring in the hand.
But what is most special to me is the memories created while wearing this. My husband and myself went to visit my most dear friend and her family in New Zealand. It was quite heartbreaking for me when they emigrated.
We then went to see my favourite band (Green Day) in concert in Auckland. While getting ready in the hotel she told me she had stolen a squirt of my perfume and loved it (not knowing it was my husbands). So we decided to all 3 wear it and create a great “scent memory”. The concert was absolutely amazing, we danced and screamed as if we were 18 again (we first met at that age). It was an unforgettable night, and whenever i wear this special guy, he takes me back a little to that time and place.

Panty dropper in a bottle that lasts for 12 hours+
I tested it in the San Paulo airport duty free.
After 12 hours (airport waiting and 10.5 hours flight) it was still more than a skin scent. During the flight I heard several comments about a “manly gorgeous scent in the air”.
When I arrived home, I ordered a bottle that very same night.

Now this is an interesting fragrance. I sprayed it on me in winter in a shop – not knowing any of the notes. As I would leave the shop on my cold skin outside this smelled like fruity bubble gum. And I was ready to hate it – cause who would want a man to be smelling like bubble gum – of course unless you are twelve years old who has a crush on a classmate.
But as I was in a tram in slightly warmer temperature I started to pick up very nice leather note – soft, not very dirty, but earthy enough to give it some smokiness.
Finally reading the notes here after arriving home I still can’t figure out what could that bubble gum smell have been.
Anyway, the drydown indoors smells quite nice, pleasant, moderate sweet, warm and cozy. Tonka bean combined with amber and packed in a leather box. I don’t get much of spiciness or herbal touch from listed lavender. I can’t really detect much of masculinity in it so I can see this leaning towards unisex side as well.
It’s not love but neither dislike. I would say it’s OK. For me this is not a game changer or anything, I could list number of other fragrances of similar character, that I find more original and that I would prefer over Code Profumo.
It’s funny when some of the guys: of course not everyone, call this (or any other fragrances) panty droppers: cute and naive to believe a fragrance could make an at least average smart woman to drop her panties. Does it help to leave a good impression when smelling really nice and appealing and do we women like it? Yes, for sure. But dropping pants? Lol, c’mon. To increase a chance of dropping the panties would be step one: changing the teenage attitude. 🙂
    To me 6/10.

Well . A sweet amber fragrance with leather. What a scent. Versatility at its best. Can wear day night summer winter etc. Wonderful scent and exceptional performance. Leather green apple and lavender very noticeable. Opening is a heaven. Drydown is very safe and clean.sillage is maybe the issue. Sits comfortably on the skin but not more. Overall a great fragrance that can easily be my signature scent. A truly 9/10

This is very common and generic sweet fragrance. Now adays sweet fragrances are in trend and designers are playing safe so did armani and code profumo is a safe fragrance.
I can’t find wow factor in it. Pretty linear sweet winter’s night fragrance and cloying in hotter days. If you are fragrance geek you can’t find anything interesting in it.
Performance wise it’s far better than armani code but projection on skin is not good. IMO original armani code is still more wearable than this one.
It perform better on clothing as compared to on skin. It gives me 1-2 hours good projection on skin and then it became skins scent but on clothing it stays more than 6-8 hours

@OnTheNose84, I couldn’t agree more and I’m not a huge Armani fan per se. Mosquito spray? That’s some damn good smelling mosquito spray LOL! Also, 1 Million comes across as a chemical weapon of mass destruction (at least it did when I smelled it on its initial release) while Armani Code Profumo is pure class.

The best way to describe this scent is sweet, creamy gourmand deliciousness. Smells like caramel and vanilla. Despite being sweet, it keeps a dark masculinity throughout, which makes the scent a bit more mature and keeps it from being unisex. Good longevity and good projection.
    Scent: 9/10
    Uniqueness: 8/10
    Versatility: 7.5/10
    Longevity: 8/10
    Projection:7.5/10
A very seductive, warm and inviting fragrance.

This is basically Versace Eros without the headache-inducing vanilla. I don’t get the “beast mode” sillage other people are suggesting. I’d say if you like Versace Eros but don’t like how overpowering it is, then grab this instead.
