Description

Oriflame Architect is inspired by modern design and futuristic vision, aiming at creative and successful men.Architect is a fragrance belonging to the aromatic fougere olfactory group with dominant woody and spicy notes and aromatic nuances. Perfumer of the composition Alexis Dadier wanted to genuinely represent a combination of modern technology and nature, inspired by Paris’ famed Quai Branly Museum and its stunning herbal facade. He tried to reflect the character of the building, a complex balance of technology and plant life. The fragrance is gradually evolving and thus revealing all its layers one by one – woody notes illustrate the brown facade and the wall of the museum is symbolized with aromatic notes.

The composition opens with cardamom, lemon and blue hemlock. The heart is extremely woody with notes of sequoia, cedar and guaiac, placed on the base of patchouli, heather, vetiver and tobacco, creating a harmony that should enhance the vision of a modern man.

Urban and futuristic bottle design is signed by Dominique Perrault, the world renowned architect who designed Bibliotheque Nationale de France in Paris. His international projects have been awarded many times.

It is available as 75 ml EDT with supporting collection of after shave lotion and deodorant.
Architect was launched in 2011.

Oriflame Architect is a very nice fragrance that I love wearing to the office during the Fall and for casual events. As others have accurately mentioned, it’s in the same category as Burberry London…but by no means and identical scent since I find it to be more woody, less tobacco, and spiced a bit different (a gentleman’s spice versus a holiday spice for lack of a better term).
Performance is average and on par with London in that is lasts 4-5 hours and projects moderately…but really smells great that first hour. Finally, I use to find this for a few bucks cheaper than London on the discount market, but the prices have gone way up so I won’t be buying another bottle since I slightly prefer London (personal preference). Hopefully the prices will come back down.

Really Quite nice with a similar feel to London but woodier and without some of that cologne’s booziness. Between the two this is s bit more reserved and perhaps the better day time scent.
It seems that there are some truly outstanding tobacco colognes that can be had for a song and this is definitely one of them.

Not bad. Not great. Smells a bit cheap to my nose. Reminds me a lot of ck shock, but with less sillage. Tobacco, and not much else.

Oriflame discontinue producing it again. I think it’s better than Burberry London. It’s balance and smooth I think. And the bottle id more interesting. But anyway I’m using BL because I can’t buy this one in my country anymore .

Amazing, amazing scent. It is the one fragrance everyone keeps asking me the name of whenever I have it on. It’s strong, it lasts, it smells great and it’s light too. I think it’s really underpriced judging by the quality of it.

For it’s price…it doesn’t smell cheap at all! Rating 5 or 6, it hurts me, it deserves atleast an 7!

Architect – best bottle design ever IMO.
As far as the juice is concirned – def not bad, considering the price tag. Some parallels can be drawn with Burberry London, but the Burberrys are truly in league of their own.
Overall a good fragrance,a little bit on the sweet side – can be considered unisex by some.
It is def a fall/winter fragrance, but cannot withstand freezing colds.
Projection- 2 hours arms lenght, then it becomes a skin scent
    Longetivity – 4-6 hours
    Scent – 6/10
    Overall- 6.5/10

Elegant fragrance! noted with tabacco-citrous and some heavy wood scents. It lucks longivity in my opinion not close to Cacharel Nemo I had them both.

This parfume is very similar to Givency VERY IRRESISTABLE for men, wich was one of my favourets but Givenchy sadly discontinued it. It has that spiciness that is masculine, wich on my opinion is rare to find – for me most spicy perfumes for men are just too sweet… This one has a pretty uniqe combination, and is a rare gem among cheap perfumes (most of them for me smell like soap…). Go try it out and I think you will be pretty suprised. A nice one for chilly autumn days to spice up the day and make heads turn 🙂

for a cheapo frag, this is actually very good.it has interesting notes & is very long lasting. However,it reminds me of burnt cabbage, like you have left some soup on to burn.saying that,I still wear it & get compliments.
Got it very cheap,as is with all Oriflame, but would not buy again.

It wasn’t so bad. But I didn’t get any compliments with that fragrance. Regret to buy it.

I bought this as my first serious cologne, maybe a little bit more than a year ago.
SERIOUSLY: NOT FOR HOT (even WARM) WEATHER. If you sweat just a little bit, you’ll be kind of overwhelmed and feel kind of more heat, since it feels like really sweet wood with lemon.
This is a GREAT fragrance for that price. It is formal in an uncanny way. The first thing I think about when smelling this is “wood and lemon”.
Scent: Pinching tobacco, wood base always present and faint lemon that when you smell it, you love it.
Longevity: I am someone that has never had good skin for longevity, apparently. But this thing lasts for a really, really long time, I’m talking about 8 hours strong.
Sillage: Decent. And with this I go to another point, which is compliments. I have no idea what this projects, because I never got a compliment while wearing it. Then again, I seriously believe it was because of the weather. Never ever wear this if you’ll even walk fast, or even be in an environment more than 18 degrees C. This is so anti-hot weather.

I bought this simply as a cheaper alternative to Burberry London for Men and it certainly delivers a very similar experiance to the latter.
Initially very nearly identical to the nose but I found London remains on my skin for a very long time, while the Oriflame lingers slightly less strongly.
However, still a very nice fragrance that I can heartily recommend.

Very intense cherry and nutmeg notes make it a rarity among men’s fragrances. Worth trying if you’re looking for something inspiring and simply different.

This is Burberry London wanna be, but Architect is more citrusy
The tobacco is good, but not as good as London
I still love London more than this
but if you want to find citrusy tobacco scent, Architect is the perfect answer and the flacon it’s Amazing
    Scent: 8/10
    Projection: Good, but not overpowering
Longevity: 6-8 Hours on my skin
    4 Stars for this

Oh dear… the “recipe” has such a potential: tobacco, vetyver, guaiac and cardamom,…The notes described made such a great mix in my head, but to my great disappointment, this was not a well made mix in the bottle. The different notes are clumsy to me and make the scent feel like an overpowering after shave.
Perhaps it’s a fitting perfume for a younger man/boy trying to grow up; taking his first staggering steps from boy to man, from AXE to actual perfume. Kind of like your first business suit: the fit is usually not so good, and the materials are cheap, but it’s still a suit and looks more professional than t-shirt and sneakers.

    This Smell is so elegant..
I always use it in formal situation.. it’s smell good and strong fit with formal situation…
    the bottle is so unique…
    love it

    Smell:
It has a clean woody smell that’s also sweet to my nose, I really love it. The tobacco note is detectable after an hour or two, it is controlled because it is at the bottom of the notes.
Very inoffensive, elegant, manly and modern smell.
    Longevity:
Sprayed on the 2 pits next to my neck and 1 on my wrist (no sharing). Lasts 4ish hours then stays close to the skin. Sadly, it didn’t last any longer on my clothes either…
    Sillage:
    Moderate sillage.
    Occasion:
You can easily wear this for office work, dinner parties. Also, my favourite fragrance for dates. Excellent for both nights and days. Best in colder days and nights; i.e. Autumn/Winter (and cold springs in some countries). I feel that you can even wear this during hotter days to office work (or daily wear), but definitely not if you’re going to sweat. To me it gives a cool (temperature) aura, for a woody fragrance. Again, usable all year around, but best in cooler (times when you’re not going to sweat) days/nights.
    Age rating:
I think, 16 and over if you want to smell like a well groomed, elegant and modern man.
    Design:
Very unique, I really like it. It does indeed portray the architecture design it aimed to achieve.
    Would I buy this again:
I stocked up 225ml of this, what do you think? lol.
    My final verdict:
    9/10.
Luckily, I bought mine while it was still ‘cheap’ from ebay at the price of 11.50GBP per bottle (including shipping). If the longevity OR sillage were stronger then this would definitely break the chart and receive over 10, from my personal point of view.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Enough good, fresh woody for every time and every age, but not a long lasting scent, the sillage is weak, the original Burberry London is much better choice…

I love the smell of this – absolutely beautiful aroma. Once you factor in the price (I can pick it up for around £10) I genuinely think this is one of the best fragrances that I own.
Initially a strong, deep scent with a rich nuttiness, a faithful tobacco sweetness and some spiciness that projects very well. I LOVE the tobacco note – it’s like opening a well maintained humidor full of fine cigars.
I don’t have any problems with longevity. It does fade and settle down to the skin but takes a reasonable time to do so. Smells less rich at 4 hours. Still pretty good at 6 hours with that fine, smooth, sweet, tobacco smell and a little musk which still projects a little. Very close to the skin at 8 hours and detectable (but only just) beyond 10 hours on me.
Could easily wear this formally. Definitely suits cooler weather better than hot. I’ve tried a few Oriflame fragrances and they are better than I expected – this IMO is the best of the lot by some distance. I will definitely be buying this again even if I have to pay full price (about £20) for it – it will still be excellent value.
    UPDATE
I stand by all of the above, but I have forgetfully applied this twice on one occasion. Over-applied it has an overwhelming sweet pine quality which is not good. Seems to smell very different when over done – don’t over apply.

Fantastic. Typically blended with woody and tobacco notes. Reminds me Givenchy Very Irresistible Men. Drydown is very mush impressive.

very classy .. a difficult composition blend up covering with woody and tobacco. not very active or musky, this was just .. a best composed

reminds me of Rocabar in a weird way. It’s woody alright.can smell trace of vetiver as the notes calm down after the initial burst which I find quite sharp. It does mellow to a sweet soft lingering smell.the woody smell lasts throughout and blends with the tobacco-which is very prominent in this fragrance. If you dont like the smell of tobacco, please avoid.I dont smoke but i find this smell appealing.i guess am in a good mood.the lasting power is well above average and you will be sniffed only people might offensively think you reek of you-know-what
for the price i got mine i consider it a huge bargain.and it’s surely for keeps.recommended as an evening wear and will suit the mature man.Bottle design is cool.had me fooled for a while as I kept trying to adjust it to sit in line with the base till I realised it was part of the design!

  36. :

    4 out of 5

It’s an elegant, very masculine, woody-spicy fragrance for every day.
On my skin the drydown is very close to Cacharel Nemo which was also a great scent.
Anyone who remembers Nemo could like it.
The bottle has eyecatching, unique form. I will keep it to decorate my room with it.
