Description

Always Red Femme, the new fragrance from Elizabeth Arden launched in June 2016, is a new flanker of the Always Red edition from 2015. Both of the fragrances belong to Red Door, which began back in 1989. The new scent is announced as intriguing, dynamic and passionate, the olfactory equivalent of New York City: “Always feminine. Always passionate. Always Red.”

Always Red Femme is a mixture of fresh fruits, delicate florals and warm woody tones. Zesty top notes of blackcurrant bud, lemon and green pear refreshes the heart of peach blossom, lily of the valley, davana and jasmine. Patchouli, moss, cedar and vanilla form the base of the perfume.

The fragrance is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Oh, I absolutely love this nice perfume!
I have been sniffing it many times, and today it/she came home with me 😀
I can smell the pear, the peach blossoms, the sjasmin, and there is a green note to it which I believe is the cassis, but I really can’t sense the vanilla in it, and it doesn’t matters at all.
It’s a great perfume and easy to wear and I recommend it to everybody for any occations :))

Always Red Femme started off fairly nice but I was not overly impress. It began
as a nice generic crowd pleasing sweet scent that didn’t really capture my interest. A warm vanilla with a hint of fruit, maybe the pear? But about an hour later I was stopped dead in my tracks. Could it be? I smelled an amazing green fresh scent and the black current really enhance the middle part of this fragrance along with a juicy pear note. What started sweet developped into a fruity green fresh scent. The dry down is a bit musky and very woody I really smell the cedar in the dry down. I never expected this perfume to develop so drastically over time. This is amazing! While the individual parts are nothing groundbreaking I find thr overall transformation impressive. This perfume develop into different characters that all still tell the same story. I really enjoy the different parts of this perfume. As different as the top, middle and dry down is from each other the pieces somehow fit perfectly into each other, the transition from one to the other flows beautifully smooth. What an unexpected masterpiece!

Sort of a generic fruity floral (OK, I do get the blackcurrant bud note, which is nice) with a bit of syrupy depth to it. A little powder/headache in the drydown. I’d say it was all right, but it does have a sharp initial blast and the base strikes me as a bit plasticky. I prefer the original, even though I also find that one a bit cloying.

Nice MELLOW Fruity Floral. I don’t particularly care for Elizabeth Arden Scents but I really like this scent. It was a “Cheap” Blind Buy. I’m pleased with this very much. I wished it’s Logevity was a bit longer. One hour the most on my skin.

I read a few comments before I bought it that it smelt like Rogue by Rihanna (which I own but don’t wear as much because it’s too musky). They were right!!!!! It does have Rogue DNA and I’m going to be honest, that’s all I smell. It’s just a slightly more pleasant version in my opinion. I find that I wear this more than Rogue as its easier to pull off.

This is the first Elizabeth Arden perfume that I’ve fallen in love with. I’m a sucker for anything sweet / floral / fruity + vanilla. I got through my carded mini tester in a couple of days, loved wearing this blend, and was sad when every last drop was gone. It’s sweet from the peach blossom and pear, creamy from the vanilla, and balanced and boosted by the slightly bitter blackcurrant. I can’t wait to buy a bottle of this. The design of the bottle is beautiful, but definitely lighter and sweeter than it suggests. Wear it day or night, and feel sexy and special! I know I will.

I really love this fragrance. It’s sultry and intense on me. It’s similar to always red but it has more florals added to it to soften it up a bit. I love the black currant bud mixed in with the warm notes. Great silage and longevity.

This smells surgary & floral on me. I dont really see the note responsible for it being surgary on me but it is. After several hours I get what one of the other reviews said, a bit of Rihanna Rouge to it. Which is quite a change from what it is the first several hours. It has very good longevity and sillage. I really like this and will rebuy when im out.

I saw EA’s Always Red Femme a few days ago at the local TJM, but I passed. After seeing it mentioned here on the MB, I looked at the reviews and thought, I will go back and if it’s still there, I will get it..Well, it was, and I bought it. I do like this. To me this is closer to the vintage Red Door than the LE Red Door I purchased a few weeks ago. Not saying this is the same as Red Door, but I definitely pick up the DNA.
It is a solid like for me. But I am glad it is a smaller bottle. I do like it, it is a bit of an unexpected surprise, but is not an everyday frag for me. But nice, though! The small bottle that I got is a good size. Just perfect for when I want something a little different, yet still fairly safe and inoffensive.
A nice Fall evening scent, not too heavy and not too overly warm..both fragrance attributes can give me a headache. This is a bit sultry, yet soft. The reviews here are pretty spot-on. Glad I went back for this one. A pleasant surprise.

This is a sultry scent. Warm, sultry This smells more like an oriental on me. Just enough lovely floral and the patchouli woodsy base is perfect.

I got this perfume last year. I think it is sort of summery sexy, I would recommend it for saucy nights out in the heat 🙂

Sweeter in a candy way with something dusky in it
    Dusky like Rihanna rogue
I’ve got 6perfumes on and I’ve had compliments.
This one and always red someone has said their mum would wear, she was in her twenties and like the Tommy Hilfiger I had on over the others.
I have Olympia aqua on and I liked that better in the card, though on my skin it’s still lovely. Perhaps I’ve got too many sweet perfumes.
Always red is deeper, this is more airy and floral with that warm sweetness.
I forgot to add in my ‘red’ review that I’ve had them on since 9.30 am, it’s now 3pm so for edt these both are giving you your money’s worth.

Never in a million years would I’ve thought that one day I would like an elizabeth arden perfume !!
They are normally old fashioned with bitter incense & for old ladies
    Just came across this one
The colour of the bottle did draw my attention so I thought I give it a try & waaaaaaaaw
    They are finally updating
to me its a floral fruity chypre
I love Pear notes always add crisp sweetness to a perfume
& I can feel there is mango & pineapple notes even though its not listed
Young ladies out there give it a try

Yesterday while I was at shoppers drug Mart (shout out to me fellow Canadians!) I came across this. I have never liked any of the fragrances from red door line so I figured this would be another fail but much to my surprise this is actually beautiful! It’s a much more pretty and girly fragrance than I expected it to be. It is very light and I don’t think it has much in the lasting power so I wouldn’t pay full price for ot. I would absolutely 100% without a doubt buy this if I found it on sale!

I finally got to sample this beauty at Macy’s they finally had a tester bottle out and whoa! It’s so nice! It’s not like Always Red that one to me is more like Armani Sí… Always red Femme is different. Both delicious as I’ve added it to my wardrobe! This is a cross between D&G Pour Femme & PF Intense and YSL Manifesto I love it and all of those as well! I’m so in love! It’s unique enough to warrant a spot in my collection! I’m happy I bought it!

I have a small sample of this and it reminds me of a slightly more grown up version of Beyonce Heat that I used to wear when I was 14! Sweet but not sickly, not my usual style but very nice

I got a small tester of this and am wearing it now. It is amazingly good, as the previous reviewer said. I find that it lasts very well on me, which is saying a lot since many far more expensive EDP fragrances disappear within an hour or so. The blackcurrant and cedar explain why I immediately loved it, I think. In terms of other similar scents, I was immediately reminded of one of the earlier Juicy Couture fragrances, but far less sweet and rather musky. A safe blind buy for anyone who enjoys trying new fragrances, but a tester is available (in the UK) from Feelunique’s Pick and Mix selection.

When I saw that this was going to be launched I was intrigued by the bottle, but once taking a look at the notes I thought “nah, this one isn’t for me”. Usually I go for caramel and powdery type of fragrances. However, I got a tester of it when I made another purchase. As soon as I tried it, I fell completely in love. I was with a friend by the time and she went crazy as well.
Ever since, I have spritzed a few drops on my wrist now and then and thought about how much I really, really like it. What’s even better is how long it lasts even with just a few drops, about eight to ten hours with good radiation!
After not having picked up the tester for a while as I didn’t want to run out of the magic juice, I sniffed it today and felt the same as always; a scent that is intriguing, cozy, feminine and just lovely. Two minutes later, I ordered a gift set of it online (for myself, obviously) with express delivery as I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Just. Amazing!

Got a small test of this today and I loved it at first sniff.
It’s a sweet and cute smell but it’s also sexy and sophisticated. It’s both a daytime and nighttime perfume,
but I’d mostly wear it at night. It’s simply a beautiful scent, and the bottle as well.

I compared this today with the first one, always red.
This one is sweet, creamy and actually reminds me a bit about Gucci rush, but not as intense and spicy and original i felt that one is. It is a ordinary scent, but nice and sweet. Longevity is ok. It is a basic day to day scent, people Will like it, it Will not offend but not impress much either.. Sorry but i prefer The first one, always red, it is more wild and young and fun in the energy. The bottle is lovely though…

Much better than the original, but still not very good.
In the top notes there’s that strong cloying scent, that reminds me of something dirty. Base notes are better, there’s light floral scent which is fading away.
I guess, I can’t take those top notes, so I won’t give it another chance.

A more sultry take on Always red, alot like a more femme fatale version of good old Gucci rush but more sultry and feminine. The dry down is amazing if you were a Rush fan but outgrew it and want something more grown up. Lasts for hours too. Great price and beautiful bottle and a very well formulate dscent with excellent staying power.

I got to sniff this the other day at the local department store. I don’t think it smells like Armani’s Si either. I does smell good though, at least to me. I think it smells like a cross between Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle and the original Always Red. On my skin, it’s an oriental floral with slight sweetness to it. I don’t get any zesty notes at all; it’s fruity, woodsy with vanilla strewn through it.
The bottle is pretty, but it’s only colored on one side though; the other side is black. This will more than likely be a purchase for me; it’ll be a great fall/winter scent.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t think this smells like Si at all. In Si, I smell green leaves, cassis liqueur, and florals with a touch of patchouli. In Always Red Femme, I get bright flowery topnotes, but overall this is a light, sweet amber with a base of powdery woods. I think it’s wonderful! Always Red Femme doesn’t remind me of Red Door in the least (thank goodness). Even though the bottle is similar this doesn’t seem to be a Red Door flanker. It’s unique, and well worth a purchase for me. I love Oriental fragrances, and I’ve never been a fan of fruity florals. Always Red Femme is what I wanted Pretty Hot to be, (and I much prefer the Always Red name). The Artemisia takes center stage!

Interesting composition, the cassis artemisia and patchouli are making all together a good chypre job! The bottle looks also beautiful, after so many Ardens fails in bottle design. Good aparition so far.
