    ***********************************************
Amazing Performance & Value for Money
    ***********************************************
    ✓ Amazing Value for money
✓ Great Projection (can be good or bad)
    ✓ Long Lasting
✓ Warm Cozy Winter fragrance bargain
This scent reminds me of Nikos Sculputre, yet another orange blossom dominated fragrance. Where as Nikos is light & airy for the summer daytime, Altamir is Heavy & Sticky for the cold night-time. I think of them as sister fragrance. If you’re looking or a Floral Ambery fragrance, this is the #1 bargain.
    ****************************************************
Feminine Orange Blossom ruin this fragrance
    ****************************************************
Feminine Floral orange blossom = completely dominating Altamir & RUIN its masculinity. I smell like a floral orange blossom all day, from beginning to the end. No, this isn’t a masculine scent, nor is it unisex. This is a pure female perfume @its finest.
I am not sexiest, I wear many Power Women CEO perfume:
✓ Tom Ford Black Orchid (Boozy Orchid smell amazing on ♂)
✓ Tom Ford Velvet Orchid (Boozy with honey)
✓ Marc Jacob Decadence (best Plum Amber for men)
Yet all three are more MASCULINE than Altamir.
Don’t get me wrong, I do like Altamir, particularly its Value for Money and amazing longevity on my skin. But its Feminine nature and Amazing projection makes it impossible to hide that I am wearing a women’s perfume. I think Altamir would smell amazing if you layer it with INCENSE or Patchouli oil to add a little masculinity back to the fragrance.

This fragrance smells good but it’s nothing to run home and tell mama about. It’s sweet and warm. It’s not masculine in my opinion. It’s more of a unisex but leaning more on the feminine side but it can pass a nice walk in the part with your spouse. It’s worth a blind bind besides the cons of it.

This is good, although not as good as the comments make it look! I expected to like this more, but I just…like it.
Maybe the people raving about it haven’t tried JPG’s Fleur du Mal, because Altamir is pretty much a watered-down of that. It’s very similar, just slightly woodsier and ‘darker’, and a lot weaker and more short-lived.
It’s a nice, unisex neroli with a little wood and spice in the background. Definitely doesn’t smell like most other fragrances on the market so quite distinct (well, apart from the ‘being a Fleur du Mal’ imitator!). Medium silage and longevity, but at that price you can afford to re-spray often.
All in all definitely good, but not great. Once you’ve tasted FDM this just looks underwhelming.
EDIT: OK I need to amend this a little: Even though its silage is only medium, longevity is very good. Perhaps the first couple of times I tried it my nose was clogged or something – I sprayed two sprays on my chest last night and at 10.30 am it’s still quite noticeable (on the fabric, not my skin).

This one is growing on me. At first I thought that it was very feminine, it actually reminded me of an old perfume that my mum used to wear when I was a kid, however, after a little more wear I find myself warming up to it. It’s very woody and a little spicy, it starts out pretty overpowering but becomes bearable. Nice and cheap, even though it kind of smells cheap, it’s still good value for the bottle size and the projection and longevity that it has. Perhaps more of a night time smell for a mature man. Over time this will grow on me more and more.

I bought this as a gift for someone and decided to quickly try it. As anyone would, just in case.
I never ended up giving it away. Need to order another bottle. At under $20 delivered, too easy.
Forget the mature man in this. In fact, forget the man. I am a woman and I just adore this. One of the best vanilla sweet ambers I have and now proudly wear. Man it’s good! Full stop.

I love! It smells sweet and luxurious, my unique scent, cream orange blossom combined with tonka bean, jasmine and neroli and ananans. Magic! a lot of complemets, I’m asked for the name of the fragrance. Very good price for 125 ml. enough for a long time. Very long durability. I LOVE ALTAMIR! 10/10 Scent.

This is basically a vanilla based frag that made for a mature man the nerolli added make a sharper and thinner vanilla style..although not too much..if smell this on paper you get an airfreshner scent
If you sparybit on skin wait 30 seconds
Till it gets warm on the skin and its butifull there other notes but the main
Soul of this is vanilla nerolli..
Lapidus is class …its no cheap smell
Its not a clone…its very very good.
You get 8 hours good performence ..
    but tmho a man scent.
    Enjoy

My Goodness! You people are over-rating this . It’s basically a fake-amber scent with a bit of fake fruit and oakmoss.
    Awful even for a cheapie.

Altamir by Ted Lapidus is a magnific Oriental Woody fragrance for men… and women…. yes, unisex
This frag has a great scent and I’m glad I blind bought it.
It opens with a very pleasant pineapple and neroli. A couple of minutes later you get a strong creemy orange (orange blossom for sure) and some flower notes.
After 10 minutes the devolpment slows down and you get the nicest scent and projection of this fragrance, with a magnificent heavy sweet tonka and a growing very nice amber scent.
In all the stages the fragrance had a classy/expensive scent.
Performance is above average with a longevity > 10 hours and a peak sillage of 6~8 feet. Projection lasts for 4~5 hours.
It really seems to have EDP concentration.
I do recommend this Fragrance. I will buy a backup bottle ASAP.
    My rates for Altamir:
    – Scent:…………………….9.5 (my judgement, classy and hard to beat as an Oriental /Woody)
    – Longevity:……………….9.0 ( >10 hours, 3 initial sprays)
    – Sillage:……………………8.5 (sillage peak at 6~8 feet, projection for 4 hours)
    – Versatility:……………….8.0 (just avoid hot days; good for any situation)
    – Compliments……………8.0 (3 compliments in the 1st hour; I interacted with 5 persons in that hour)
    – Uniqueness:…………….9.0 (some minor similarities with 4 upscale fragrances)
    – Quality:……………………9.0 (it smells expensive and classy)
    – Presentation:……………9.0 (nice, good over all quality, except so~so sprayer)
    – Price:………………………10.00 (€13,50 for 125ml tester)
    Average: 8.89/10.00
@ spiced pikled ginger – I fully respect your opinions even if they are tottaly in opposition to my review. But when you say “Smells cheap. I dislike that word, I prefer ‘inexpensive’ – but there’s really no other fitting way to say it – this smells cheap. I’ve honestly experienced better for less. “, please share with the Fragrantica community some examples of better for less. As I paid less than 14 Euros for an Altamir 125 ml tester, I really would like to by better than Altamir and pay less than €13.50 for that hidden gem.

RichMilton, Ive just received it. In MY opinion, it is NOT unisex. It is feminine.
Opens poorly with alcoholic bitterness, quickly making way for the Amber. A few minutes after that, a nauseating sweetness comes along.
If you’re an amber fiend, go ahead and try it – it’s not expensive so it won’t be too painful if you’re disappointed – and you can always use it as a gift, if you know someone with an untrained nose that loves amber.
Smells cheap. I dislike that word, I prefer ‘inexpensive’ – but there’s really no other fitting way to say it – this smells cheap. I’ve honestly experienced better for less.
    I cannot recommend.

Is this for men or unisex? Because the Ted Lapidus website said it was made for men. But a lot of woman here are saying it’s unisex? Is the house wrong or the viewers just want to make it unisex? Or maybe this is a different release than the one on Lapidus website? Is there a unisex version and a version for men?

Es una fragancia exquisita que por suerte se consigue a bajo precio aquì en Buenos Aires.
Tiene la perfecta mezcla entre Fleur du male en su salida y notas medias y Gaultier 2 en las notas finales.
Un must try para los perfume adictos

Pretty good! A warm, glowing-orange amber that reminds me of Palomo Picasso Minotaur and Maison Francis Kurkdjian A.P.O.M. This one is a bit sweeter, but it’s still nice. Overall, it’s a sweet amber-oriental with notable jasmine and orange blossom notes. Warm tonka in the base gives it a cozy, sensual feel. I get very good performance with it, strong projection and solid longevity. While I’ve smelled a few scents like this before, Altamir is competent in its own right and for about $20 it’s a good deal. Worth looking into if you like the idea of a warm, orange amber oriental for men.

Wow!That’s unisex all the way!Powerful and radiating fragrance, starts fresh with white flowers, and it stays flowery/ambery and sweet.Altamir is a really challenge to wear, not because is feminine, but because gives a difficult time to comprehend it!Myself,i find Fleur du male easier to wear. Not bad, though.

This is what I wanted Nikos Sculpture to be but TLA is so much better. Beautiful white flowers with tonka and pineapple with good performance that could be worn in all but the hottest weather… it is a steal for the price.

As much as I love the fact that this fragrance gives lovely scent to my body, I have to let it go since I don’t feel the masculinity in it. And, guess what, my mom fell in love with this one instantly when I gave it to her.
Not a bad fragrance, though. Scent, projection and longevity turn out very good. But it’s just not for me.

  21. :

This is a cheaper Gaultier 2 in every way. With that being said, it’s absolutely not BAD by any means, but for some reason I just can’t take this scent seriously.
I spray it on, and I feel like I’m wearing a scent that’s not meant to be worn as cologne. As if I’d sprayed myself down with Fabreze, or carpet freshener, room deodorizer, something of that sort.
Between the two, Gaultier 2 is a much better choice, although, I know, it’s hard to find and expensive (for what it is) when you do. But, take all that with a grain of salt, because I’m finding I’m personally not a fan of sweet amber dominated scents, so that’s just me.

  22. :

    This one is intoxicating.
A blind buy, but one that I figured I would enjoy based upon the notes and how many folks recommended it to me. But I had no idea I would enjoy it THIS MUCH.
See, I like fragrances that are warm. Fragrances that are fresh. Fragrances that carefully toe the line between masculine and feminine, before stepping into the bounds of the former as if that was the plan all along. Y’know…stuff that just makes you feel good.
Altamir hits a home run here. A delicate array of florals (the neroli is amazing!) with some amber to thicken it up and tonka bean for that mmm!-just right-masculine touch. Unisex? Maybe. It’s not for clubbing. But is how loud and dirty you are really the true measure of masculinity? I think not. This is for the man who exudes a quiet confidence, a comforting aura.
If Altamir was a food, I would devour it. This one is a winner and has quickly jumped to the front of my collection.

Hi.I love the smell. I use all year round, great compliments.10 stars for Ted Lapidus. Blessed!

  24. :

    3 out of 5

I really respond to the gender fluidity of Altamir. The orange blossom and jasmine are definitely more in the feminine realm but the overall composition with amber, tonka, and woods is masculine in a very modern, understated way.
I don’t mean this negatively at all but Altamir kind of smells like a bunch of Jean Paul Gaultier scents put into a blender. It has the soft amber of Gaultier2, the orange blossom and vanilla of Classique, the tonka of Le Male, and the neroli of Fleur du Male.
I like Altamir a lot but I wish that the sillage and longevity was just a little stronger. But everyone’s experience will vary, according to what other reviewers have said. Also a 4.2oz bottle is so cheap you can definitely afford to respray later.

  25. :

An warm, sweet amber concoction which my skin seems to absorb osmosis-like. Delicious orange blossom fades far too quickly.
    Absolutely no projection whatsoever.

The opening of this smells so much like YSL Opium for men that you should consider it a tester for it. It has a milder, more powdery drydown, but their openings are hard to distinguish from one another.
In fact, if you want a less beast-like alternate to Opium (perhaps for warmer weather, in which I find Opium to be overpowering), this one would be ideal.

Top notes resemble Gaultier Classique. Dry down resembles Code Profumo. This is very nice although performance on me is very average. The 30ml has an ordinary spray nozzle unlike the bigger sizes.

It smells exactly like Ab Spirit Millionaire.
    Both are nauseating colognes.

First spray: Neroli, Orange Blossom, Amber and to me it has a memorable resemblance to the grape blossoms I used to smell in Eastern Washington vineyards, which gives it a commonality with the original Lapidus fragrance. Perhaps this is from the undertone of the pineapple.
5 minutes: Add a very nice vanilla scent from the tonka and some floral from the jasmine. At this point it becomes sweeter and softer, but not an annoying sweet.
10 minutes: The earthiness of patchouli is starting to wander in, along with a bit of woody bite from the teak. Still dominated by amber/vanilla tones.
15 minutes: The pineapple sweetness has faded a bit and is now a warm and well blended fragrance with a bit of earthiness.
20 minutes: Now I can detect a bit of vetiver and musk, but i think this is where the scent will ride for a bit.
40 minutes: By now it has become a earthy vanilla amber that pops out a note of jasmine on occasion, and teak on another occasion. The pineapple sweetness is gone, and once in a while I still get a whiff of neroli.
I think from here it becomes a little more woody. This is a very nice fragrance. I could have only imagined what this could have been like with a bit of cardamom in it.
An excellent scent on a blind buy. It’s a “comforting” scent.

Very lovably fragrance, this juice will grow on you till you cant stop talking about it, you can smell orange blossom, pinaple leaf, tonka bean, patchouli, etc; Well blended this is a niche sleeper!!!!!

OMG! I love this one. I’m a woman that loves fragrances with an ethnic vibe. After reading some girls reviewing this as a gorgeous scent on their skin, I rushed and bought it without ever smelling it. After all, if it turned too masculine I could give it to my husband. So it was a win, win. 😀 For me, this one is a winner alright; on me not masculine at all, but very vanillic, spicy and with an ethnic vibe…just as I like. The longevity is pretty descent and the price is very affordable. Excelent frag!!!

There are so many designer fragrances that are, well…just plain weak! This is not one of them. Its has potency, character and is excellent value. A sweet tonka, orange, pineapple and patchouli scent that is just gorgeous. Highly recommended.

This is a fragrance that you love from the first spray, and this love lives forever.
For me it is a soft “not feminine” delicious fragrance, I get Jasmine, orange, vanilla and some patchouli, these notes are blended perfectly that you can smell all of them at the same time.
longevity and projection are also good.
    Highly recommended.

I am a woman and I bought this for my husband. He usually likes fresh citrus cents but I wanted him to try something else. To me this is a unisex scent and we both tried it. WOW! What a suprise. I will definately use it as an evening fragrance. Somehow it smells familiar but I have not yet identified which one it remindes me of. Lovely, soft warm, spicy, highly recommended.
Update. I tried this yesterday after a shower, Atamir on one arm and JPG Classic on the other and they are very smilar if not identic. JPG is a tiny tiny bit sweeter in the drydown while Atamir is warmer and lasts forever (almost). 12 hour after the sprits it was still there, a wonderful soft skin scent, very comforting.

It’s supposedly going to hit a toasty 75° today – and in the Pacific Northwest in early Spring, that’s pretty damn toasty! Armed with this news, I am continuing the trend of reaching for the delicious vanillas in my collection with hints of florals and a touch of greenery – and donning an underrated gem, Altamir by Ted Lapidus!
I don’t know how or why I decided to buy this fume – it was likely due to the kind reviews on Fragrantica as well as a ridiculously low price tag. I am so glad that I blind bought it as it is one of my favorite cheapies that I rotate in the Spring and Summer. It opens with a slightly off- putting 80’s like vibe with some bitter herbs and florals. Keep in mind that this fume is quite synthetic – I cannot truly detect many notes outside of the neroli and vanilla. So, this odd opening morphs into a slightly woody vanilla after about 30 minutes to an hour. The woody/herby vanilla lasts three to four hours while developing into an absolutely decadent frothy vanilla ice cream scent with the faintest touch of herbs and something my nose decodes as a warm cumin floating in and out of perception (much like the vanilla and cumin combo of CH 212 Sexy Man). I love this stage and it lasts for eight to ten hours while quieting into a gentle vanilla – such an amazing vanilla! If you love vanilla and if you love ice cream, give this treat a chance!
    Day 6: Just another day
Listening to: Daughter – New Ways

An immediate like and sort of surprised by that. This is my third Ted Lapidus home run in a row. Nothing else I have smells like this and the balance here is truly impeccable. If you’re seeking other than a strong fougere, sporty or fresh scent this could work very well for you. Mind you, I am not a fan of pineapple or tonka bean but will be going to this one often. Lastly, don’t need to worry about it smelling too floral. Again, it’s perfectly balanced.
Amazing value for 4 oz. bottle.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

I became interested in this fragrance after reading the many positive reviews here and when I realized how cheap it was selling for, US$13 for a 125ml bottle. How can I lose? Anyhow, my reaction upon my first spray is; it’s a little old school but a totally captivating scent. The orange blossom and amber give it a very warm inviting feel. At times, it smells like a delicious cream soda. Longevity and performance are fantastic and would put a lot of expensive frags in the market to shame. So, I’m totally pleased with my purchase.
However I have a negative remark I need to get off my chest. While the glass bottle it comes in is presentable, the copper color plastic top looks absolutely horrendous. The awful color, the crazy looking fake screw tops, and unnecessary texturing makes it look very amateurish, tacky and cheap (you have to see the real thing to believe it). It’s truly the most ugly attachment ever put on a bottle and is painful to look at. It’s a real pity because bad designs of this caliber can very unfairly take away the integrity of the product.
To the people at Ted Lapidus, if you have any pride in your products, improve the presentation!

My niece is blind from birth. She wears this. She bought it on her own based on smell and did not know it was for gents. She layers it sometimes with another pineapple perfume (for women) by Sal Ferregamo. I think it’s called Incanto maybe?
I enjoyed Altamir on her so much that I bought it too.
I’d say it’s unisex, especially how my niece layers it. Long lasting, inexpensive and a real summer treat!

  42. :

This is pretty interesting. My mother and I both blind-bought two bottles of this for my father and my brother (we got it at a steal of a price, and bought it despite knowing the two weren’t fragrance junkies). Take note that when we sprayed it, it smelt divine on all four of us.
Except of course, my brother didn’t like it, so I gladly snatched the bottle for myself.
It’s very amber-vanilla-wood-orange blossom on me. It’s very complex, warm, and smooth. It stays on my skin for a long time, but doesn’t project very far, but that’s okay as I’m still able to smell it throughout the day.
I’m surprised to find it labelled as ‘men’ and not ‘unisex’, because this could easily be marketed as unisex successfully. If I mixed several of my favourite perfumes together, I would probably get something very similar to this, meaning that this fits right into my collection.
Honestly, on my skin, this smells like Tabu by Dana and Ciara by Revlon had a baby, but it’s much softer than the two mentioned sillage monster fragrances. This is DEFINITELY staying in my collection, no question. The only reason I’m sad that my father liked the bottle he received, was because I wasn’t able to nab that as well!

Blind buy after hearing comparisons to Fleur du Male. I don’t dislike it but I also don’t get the same sunny, springtime floral accord with Altamir that I did with FDM, and that’s what I was after. Rather, it hit me as more of a 1 Million sort of fragrance. Not a copy but there are more similarities than differences.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Well no one else has mentioned it but I think it smells similar to APOM. Just bought this and am more than pleased considering the price. Quality fragrance.

have to admit at first spray Atamir is definitely a lighter version of Gaultier². Atamir is..vanilla, tonka bean with amber which has that sweet/powdery/warm vib. The top notes first is a hint of Neriol and orange blossom which awakens your senses to the deep aroma that follows.
Longevity and Silage is very good lasting at 6hrs.
    Overall,
In my opinion, thou there’s a lot of similarities to G², there is a very smooth creamy warm/calm vib of vanilla/amber blend which isn’t offensive or in your face. 7.5/10

  46. :

    4 out of 5

A really interesting fragrance. The fruit-like undertones paired with tonka bean, white flowers and green leaves gives an unusual scent compound that I have never come across. It is a bit sweet and mildly sour and has the musk Vetiver and Amber notes enhance the manliness of the scent. It is a masculine fragrance but although masculine it will not fit most people and it is a bit hard to wear because of its special composition.
I blind bought my example but a friend was interested so when he showed me money I was willing to sell it simply because I found it to hard to find an occasion to use it.
A scent with lots of potential, unfortunately it’s not to my liking.
    Overall Rating: 5/10

Too good for the boys [only joking].
I bought this for my cousin and he only needs one spray to smell lovely for the whole day.
It’s a gloriously rich scent which i think women would also enjoy wearing as it’s not exactly the typical harsh masculine type that mens fragrances normally smell like.
I love being enveloped and wrapped in the warm rich edible loveliness of it. I will be getting myself a bottle, it’s defintely too good to be exclusively used by men only and i think it would appeal to most women as it is reminiscent of some of the more expensive womens perfumes.
A luxurious aroma that i absolutely adore.

Altamir is much on the Complex side yet still this complexity manages to create the Illusion of Pleasantly Overwhelming Woody Vanilla. i can’t say i find it to be close to Le Male or Silver Shadow at all. overall it is one of the most Unisex Ted Lapidus Fragrances i had, and it seems to draw compliments from older women. in fact some even asked me if it is a Male fragrance. the current Bottle is my Second Altamir bottle. the first one was used mostly during the Middle Eastern Summers and i find it to be a very suitable fragrance for warmer climates where the delicate summer aquatics just seem to vanish quickly this one does the work, and yet with it’s noticable hints of Vanilla. manages to suprass the effects of high humidity and sweat inducing weather. in fact it’s mixture with my sweat also produces nice effect.
it is not as Long Lasting as TL pour Homme or TL Black Extreme. i would say it’s Longevity is 70% of the Above ones. and the Sillage is more gentle and Polite than others. for it’s Price and bottle size, and also impressive bottle. it is a very good and recommended Purchase. i will conclude with two words that come to my head: Vanilla Charm .

I don’t know why people try to overthink the fragrances…just enjoy them!!! I think this is the case with Altamir,a nice fragrance with a super affodable price, a decent longevity (better than some expensive o bigger brands outhere) and super nice smell. I bought a 125ml bottle and to be honest this is the one who stand in the same high as other more “exclusive” fragrances.

I hate to do this, and in over 40 reviews, have never done this before, but this reminds me of 1 Million! Very similar in the dry down ( I have Million on the back of one hand, and Altimir on the other ) and similar vibe throughout, although tonka in the Altimir and the rose and leather in 1 Million emerge to outline subtle differences. I have owned and been very fond of Altimir for a good 2 years longer than I have owned 1 Million ( a present from my sister ). I am aware of Million reviews and rarely wear it, but side by side, Million shines, leaving Altimir as it’s dull sibling.

This is a rather interesting fragrance at first but I feel that the ingredients could have been better for it. The scent isn’t all that bad itself, but I can’t help but feel that more money should have been put in to make the fragrance more lush but instead I feel it’s rather cheap smelling and I get tired of it quickly. It could have been so much more. An average scent, really.

I regret buying this one because it smells similar to SILVER SCENT, which I have and prefer… but there’s something about ALTIMIR that I don’t like as much, but I can’t put my finger on it. Some strange undertone.
ALTIMIR is also missing the signature LAPIDUS note at it’s heart that I like in both their POUR HOME and BLACK EXTREME versions.
Somewhat dissapointed. A good quality scent, just not for me. Try before buying.

In my personal and humble opinion this and Gaultier2 DO NOT smell alike. I just got this one a few day ago and I have been wearing Gaultier2 for a few years already and I do not see the similarity. however, Altamir is something different, sweet, calming, cheeky, sexy. I love it.

When I first tried Altamir I thought: ooooh, my God! Good!
I know perfumes can vary quite drastically from skin to skin. That is why I keep telling people: try it before you buy.
But let me tell you guys a short story:
On a usual hot night, driving to work, I stopped at the petrol station to fill the car tank. And surrounded by that vapour of gasoline, the girl who worked there, next to the pump, did smell the fragrance and said: your perfume smells deliciously! I timidly smiled and thanked her.
    Edit:
I could not agree more when other members say Altamir could have been made more lush, more sophisticated, and even more expensive. And, yes, one (like me) might get bored and/or tired of it after some time of wear. But it is sexy enough. But I also agree with its proposition and, considering that, I would say it is a fine fragrance for what it is and what you pay for. Its sillage is considerable and longevity, long.

Altamir reveals itself as a surprisingly good Oriental fragrance for the price.
It opens maybe a bit harshly with the neroli quite prominent, gets quite indolic with the jasmine, then smooths out quite beautifully with the amber, allowing a fairly strong woody finish, with the musk and teak doing wonderful things together, in-between you get whiffs of patchouli and Vetiver. Longevity is not great, but sillage is better than you would expect.
All in all a fragrance I will enjoy wearing especially in summer.

I bought this for my husband but I wear it! Comes closer to the woody oriental scent I dresm of in a ladies’ fragrance than anything else.

To the reviewer below regarding the spray, yes mine is the same, no mist just a direct hit. Must be the design of the button on top.

Bought this on the strength that is was similar to gaultier 2 which i recently ran out of and wanted to replace. Well what can I say? whereas one is very well made so much so it smells impressively expensive, has a lasting power of days, changes throughout its wear from masculine to sensualy soft, has lots of interesting layers and gets compliments…….the other is gaultier 2

    Smells like dreamy, vanilla, bliss.

Amber and neroli in the beginning, sweet but minty at the same time, and the whole effect is a refreshing sweetness. Nice, and a bit unusual. Strong oriental woods shine through, giving depth to the composition. After a while veriver and musk appear on stage, the dry down is completely overwhelmed by Tonka beens, smelling vanilly and spicy. Altamir is a gender bender – I am a woman wearing it with pleasure. There is no harsh masculine eau de cologne feel about Altamir, even though vetiver in the base is too sharp to love, not like this scent. But it feels very feminine and natural to wear this, not like you sprayed yourself with father’s cologne and reek of all alien and harsh notes. It’s a comfort scent for me, something to put on in a stormy weather sitting in front of a fire.

Honey-roasted almonds, vanilla, amber, orange blossom, and a ‘creamy’ concoction of pineapple-vetiver…the wonders of this scent is very difficult to describe in words only. A mellow, creamy, and floral fragrance that brings in warm relaxing thoughts. The musk in it evokes warm memories of fragrances your dad and uncles wore in the early 90s. This classy vibe along with the modern floral has given birth to the best fragrance that $25 and under could buy.
