Description

Enrique Iglesias, Latin-pop star and son of the famous Julio Iglesias, launches his first fragrance in collaboration with Coty. The perfume is called Adrenaline in accordance with the image of the Latin temperament and romance. The fragrance is reportedly powerful, bold and cool, it raises the pulse and is not for the “faint of heart”.

The composition is developed by Guillaume Flavigny. The top notes include mandarin, lemon and violet. The hot spicy heart consists of black pepper from Madagascar, saffron and pomarosa. The base features fried tonka bean, cedar and leather.

The fragrance is available from July 2014 as 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette with an accompanying collection for body and face care.

Enrique Iglesias Adrenaline is a fragrance that is easily overlooked. I first saw it on Halloween night 2016 in a Big Lots. I passed it up that night instead picking up Tim McGraw’s McGraw. In a year and a half when picking up Coach for Men and Montblanc Legend Spirit from a certain website that has a certain amount for free shipping, I found this to fill my cart. I was really impressed by it.
Adrenaline is a prototype of Zara Gourmand Leather and basically what Ultra Male is with but with the pear and the Le Mâle DNA. But the way Adrenaline opens up is a little bit of a sweeter La Rive Hitfire like scent. It opens with a pretty strong violet note along with some citrus but I also get the sweetness from the star apple from the mid. The star apple kind of the replacement for pear, but it is a lot different and more tropical. The mid has some pepper in it too but it is dominated by the star apple. The base is where you get the Gourmand Leather and Hitfire mixture with a the tonka and leather notes.
Adrenaline is nice and would work for a number of situations especially if you love Ultra Male and don’t have Zara a near you to get Gourmand leather for a reasonable price. It might not project enough for a club replacement for Ultra Male, but it does get the job done. It projects moderately and for a celebrity Coty scent, I can’t ask for too much more in all honesty. It is an EDT compared to an intense EDT like Ultra Male or an EDP like Gourmand Leather, so it may not be as strong as Ultra Male and Gourmand Leather. Longevity is about 6//8 hours. It is a bit hard to get a true gage for how long it actually lasts.
Adrenaline is light enough to work in summer nights and could be a summer club scent since we don’t want to have something too too strong but it is a good scent to wear on dates if you want to substitute ultra male. Basically this is what I consider the Oxford Bleu to Ultra Male’s Eros. The scent you wear if you want to something familiar to the scent you met your date with at a club. It is an all seasons night scent and maybe could work in a colder weather work setting.
I really think Enrique Iglesias Adrenaline is a dumb reach buy to fill up the cart to get you to free shipping. It is a nice crowd pleasing scent to wear on dates to smell unique enough, but she’ll mass appealing at the same time. I rate it a 7.6 out of 10 for decent performance and some good use but if you have a Zara near you, Gourmand Leather is more worth the price increase for its better performance.

Smells like fruit punch and dried blood, it’s not necessarily bad but it’s not really good either, it’s just…odd…

This is a really good bubble gum type fragrance that last 7 plus hours and for the price u would be crazy not to try it,its unique and u will get compliments,i have to give it a 9 out of 10 based on the price

This is a strange one for me as over time it has grown towards me liking it more than I first did.
It can be found at good prices most of the time and has pretty good staying power.
I find it very difficult to express this scent, I get an underlying powdery scent that can be overpowering almost at times and really special at other times, strange because when I usually detect powder as such in fragrances they just smell cheap, I think the leather and tonka bean strengths are about right for this ( for me anyway) to pull it all together.
    Price… good.
    Strength …good.
    Sillage…good.
    Longevity …good.
    Smell…good.
Overall …Not great, not bad just good.
Safe I would say, wear anytime anywhere if used sparingly though too much could be hit or miss, your choice.
    Definitely not my worst buy.

Excellent for the price. Beckham really ruined celebrity fragrances for me until I stumbled onto this. I keep it in my bag just in case.

Yes, you get creamy/spicy/sweet tonka with a “symthetic” leather and perhaps a bare hint of woods. I just did a dab sampling but it seemed strong. I look forward to giving it a regular wearing, but right now I’m thinking it’s on the same level as one of the better Playboys, which certainly isn’t bad. There are bits of 1 Million, A*Men Leather, and SpiceBomb here, but again, along the lines of a top Playboy in terms of “quality.” Subtle, sophisticated, or “high quality” are not terms/phrases I would associate with this one. I intend to update this review soon.
UPDATE: With a regular wearing I get more of the fruit and violet notes. With the dab sampling, after several hours, it reminded me a bit of Legend by Michael Jordan. It’s definitely not bad, and it’s the kind of scent I generally like, but perhaps I just have too many now and there’s nothing about this one that strikes me as a “must have” at this point. I’d rather wear King of the Game by Playboy, for example, because it has some unique notes (and it cost me less too).

Very good smell of leather and tonka, durability up to 7h. I would recommend!

I remember reading the news and reviews about this fragrance when it was released. I didn’t really care for it by then. Most of its reviews were not very kind to it. But when I saw it really cheap I decided to give it a try and buy it.
Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised for how much value for money this one has. It is not by far the best I have experienced in my life but, for me, it has its undeniable qualities.
The stand out notes on this one are the star apple, the leather and a tamed sweet smell through out. It gets sweeter in its middle and final stages but it never gets so much to the point I fear ants will start crawling over me.
I can see how some people compare it to club favorites like 1 million or 212 VIP but its only resemblance is the seductive vibe.
Yes, Adrenaline smells sexy and confident. I have used it during the day and I don’t mind doing so. But I can picture how some might think this is too much for any other than nighttime and party activities.
It lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin. Its projection was moderate. It was really good when I applied it but in about an hour it started to settle but not yet a skin scent.

I get leather, cinnamon and pepper, but there is no cinnamon in the notes listed. It’s very strong to the point of being harsh. Enrique could have and should have done much better with this one. Another outdoor all day scent only.

I found this bottle hiding on a shelf in my local Big Lots. For $4, I couldn’t argue; especially when I discovered the pharmacy next door was selling the same bottle for $25. As far as the scent goes, I can’t pick out any of the listed notes, except for a vague caramelized sugar in the drydown, which I’m guessing is the fried tonka. The scent itself is sweet and inoffensive, with decent sillage and longevity. Not something I’d wear regularly, but decent enough for $4.

Got this one for 10$, last more than 6 hours on my skin, not a beast but it does the job for its price, better than most of the david beckham ones. Guys try this one if u can get for a cheaper price.
    kinda sweet and smoky,
    try Chemistwarehouse.com.au

Comparisons to Paco Rabanne One Million are somewhat justified, however there is a strangely engrossing hot Dracula candy interlude here that I cannot quite put my finger on and a certain powdery dimension to the whole that truly sets it apart. Absolute cream for a grocery cheapo and an unpretentious man’s choice that just simply works.

This is a common fragrance in Australia and really good for the price I paid ($7.99 Aus for 100ml – about $5.75 US). It is sweet without being cloying and a little spicy a lttle woody – it is not really distinct, but it does what it does well.

I could care less about Enrique iglesias, but i gotta say he makes good cologne. Is this original, not a chance, is it a very good smell, absolutely. I own a few expensive colognes and while this is no versace or chanel, for the price you can’t go wrong, very pleased and definitely has a place in my collection.

  18. :

Simply good and modern, not cloying sweet, good juice for the price, this is a joke, some other niche fragrances are way up there in cost with terrible smells, this is worth the try!!!!!

This is a pretty nice cologne. Me loving Enrique, I had to get it. It has a nice spicy sweet, almost hot tomale smell. Very nice. Longevity of course is a little questionable but still a very nice gift for fans of Latin music or wants to attract the ladies. Btw does anyone know where I can get the 2nd in this series “Adrenaline Night” (blue bottle)?

  20. :

One of the most underrated colognes in the market. It’s sweet but not so sweet that you would think its feminine. What’s very fascinating to me is the fried tonka bean in the base; it reminds me of the aroma of vanilla-extract infused funnel cakes from the fair mixed with the whiffs of over worn cologne that’s lingers in the air. If you want a modern but unique scent that can easily be compared to any Versace or CK colognes but half the price go with Adrenaline!

The opening of this actually reminded me of another celebrity frag….Daddy Yankee’s. Nice sweet apple with leather and woods. But then when it begins to drydown it gets spicier and more creamy with the violet poking it’s head in there.
Yeah, it doesn’t smell of the highest quality with some synthetic tang in there….but it does smell good and has impressive longevity for a cheapie. You could do much worse than this offering IMO. Worth looking into and giving a sniff for bargain hunters who just want to smell good for little $’s.

Reminds me quite a bit of Joop Homme Wild. If you like that, you’ll probably enjoy this one as well….. I just picked up a 3.4 oz bottle for $12.99 at Ross… Can’t beat that.

Trending spice notes along with eros, one million, etc

  24. :

Celebrity perfumes, in short, for the most part, encrypt the fragrance of a designer and place on the market, this one is the clone of Versace Eros, worth the benefit cost, that here I feel a little more star apple and pepper, it´s hotter and a little sweeter than Versace.
    Rating: 6,5-7/10

You know that “i know this one” feeling that we have with some fumes?
I DARE YOU not think of that when you smell this one.
Is it good? Yes. Is it original? Not in a million years.
It does have everything a stereotypical male fragrance have to be profitable: A spicy side (pepper and saffron), a sweet night club side (tonka bean and star apple – that smell JUST LIKE ordinary apple – mixed with leather and violets), a fresh side (lemon and mandarin) and a woody base (cedar). A crowdpleaser.
It reminds me a lot of playboy New York. And when i mean a lot, i mean “i can’t believe i bought this if i already have it”. Both have Tonka Bean and Pepper. Star Apple in this one, Apple on the other. Lemon on this one, Lime on the other. Cedar on this one, Vetyver on the other. Sweet Leather on this one, Vinyl on the other.
Yep, they are basically THE SAME FRAGRANCE.
Super safe for gifts (the sweet is not too sweet, the spices are not to spicy, the woods are not too woody – no character at all) or blind buys.
Great if you’re getting into fragrances now, and want a scent that suits ALL occasions (although Playboy is a lot cheaper).

    This is great.
    why so much hate?
Celebrity perfumes sometimes get a bad rap, but this one is wonderful.
projection and staying power is very credible, delightful even.
more suede then straight up leather, smell a lot of sweet, not so much tobacco (maybe a soft hint here and there).
the drydown is great and earthy, projects like angel men!
lasts 6-10 hours easily and I have gotten some compliments wearing this.
It’s very nice, agreeable and easy to wear.

I bought a 100ml bottle of this stuff for 20 AUD and that’s a bargain I wasn’t prepared to let go of, especially something made by the COTY brand. Yes its not expensive and yes it doesn’t come off like Nasomattos’ Black Aghano but it is a good smelling cheap alternative to the expensive stuff if you don’t have the money to shell out 300 dollars plus for a bottle of liquid that no one is going to notice. I use this stuff to work and I work outdoors in a male dominated environment (No I’m not gay) so that I don’t stink like the other Neanderthals around me. It gives me a sense of confidence that my body odour is not projecting more than the fragrance that I am wearing. At $20.00 who can argue with that? Smells great for that money I reckon.

For me, this is a typical mediocre celebrity cologne, but I don’t even understand why Enrique Iglesias would put his name on this, because the scent doesn’t evoke Latin lover; I think more long-distance truck driver. Initally, it leathers me to death. If you love leather, you might like it. I certainly wouldn’t dismiss it based only on the dominant leather note, but it also has that hint of violet powderiness on top of it. The light citrus in the background results in a very masculine but uninteresting fragrance.
At the tail end, it has a faint sweet, creaminess to it, which I assume is the star apple note, but that isn’t enough to saved it. It also doesn’t have much staying power. About three hours after I applied, it had all but disappeared. I might wear this if I were going to a biker bar to down some cheap brewskis, but I would never do that. If you often do, then you might like it.

Suprised to see negative reviews. I guess some people LOVE to judge celebrity fragrances (even though this one is done by Coty, same company that does Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein). Their loss because this one is amazing.
Very sexy, lasts a LONG time, and has great sillage. Smells like leather mixed with something sweet. It also has a smokey vibe throught the whole duration. I got the gift set with the 1 oz., shower gel, and after-shave. The after-shave works very well and smells like the fragrance.
This fragrance reminds me of 212 VIP and CH by Carolina Herrera. If you like those 2 (I love them), then you have to check this fragrance out.
    THUMBS UP

After an unpromising start of alcohol and little more,it reminds me to a lighter version of Bvlgaris Aqua amara, but with much less quality, a good edt for youngsters and teens anyway

  33. :

I don’t really detect any leather. Or it’s just so synthetic. The pepper and the fruits are strong but smell a bit cheap. I guess this is suitable for boys and those who want something regular and semi okay. There’s nothing more to this.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This is not a leather fragrance. It is fruity, like chewing gum or shampoo, I guess that is the star apple and saffron. It is not very masculine. Enrique Iglesias used to advertise Azzaro Pour Homme. Now that is a nice fragrance. Too bad.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

    Leather, pepper, citrus.
At first the Leather comes off oddly bitter or plastic like, with a wierd kind of spicyness. That’s the saffron, it adds an odd penetrating savory spice to it.
A few hours later, it gets weaker, and all that’s left is this noticeable Suede leather, which may come off as a bit “plasticy”. But if you got good associations with it.
    Sillage: modest
Longevity: modest, fades to a faint leather.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

I guess I can be opposing voice so far on this one. I think this is – well – how do you say nicely…gross. My blind buying luck is either getting worse or I’ve just hit a rough patch. How is it that I keep buying scents that not only smell bad, but scents that smell putrid? This smells just like Bruno Banani’s Absolute Man, a disgusting concoction in its own right. I’m not sure how, though. The only things I can piece together is that it might be the cheap fruity notes combined with the pepper. Those are really the only things those two have in common.
But it might also be the tonka bean and/or leather already showing its head and mixing with the fruit and pepper. I’m just not certain. But whatever it is, the fragrance is just a mess. No development past 5 minutes. Imagine someone saying, “Hey here’s all the notes…..at once….good luck distinguishing them.” So, the problem I’m getting might be one of just fragrance quality. There just has to be some development here and there’s none so far as I can tell. It’s as if this is a fragrance that’s supposed to develop but is of such poor quality that it just doesn’t. And go figure, it’s a celebrity scent.
I bought a body wash/cologne set and the body wash isn’t so off putting. It’s a little less heady and a bit more on the fruity side. I will at least give that a try. As for the fragrance, I’ll be giving this away or throwing it away. I definitely don’t think this is worth purchasing.

Bought this last week in Spain
Horrible cheap bottle with plastic sprayer but I love the fragrance.
Kept smelling it , how you do and thinking it smelled similar to something I had years ago and loved.
Remember it was an Avon fragrance that was always commented on and was discontinued after a couple of years called Intrigue .
Yes this current fragrance is made by Coty and I,m unsure whether it is available in the shops in the U.K but for the younger market who like sweet, but spicy and warm this is the fragrance that could take over from 1 million if it was marketed properly.
I personally love Adrenaline and hate 1 million .
    Lasting power excellent .
Just a shame about the bottle.
Actually prefer wearing this to many of my more expensive fragrances!!

To start with the masculine celebrity fragrances are very risky and difficult business, they rarely hit the success. The most successful line to date is David Bechkam, though, unfortunately, he loses his popularity from year to year. The owner of license – the Coty company – began to look for the new franchise and finally found Enrique. He was the face of Azzaro Pour Homme line focusing on latin market, and now he has his own brand.
The first fragrance is done in the red energetic mood and named Adrenaline. The red bottle and advertising campaign suggest the scent will be sweet and spicy, and that’s basically true. Adrenaline starts off with semi-sweet woody smokey accord. It smells like like newly felled trees that were burnt after that. Really nice opening, sexy and sophisticated. Than fragrance becomes more common, fruity, coconuty, powdery and synthetic, but, fortunately, that woody accord could be noticed at any stage of the Adrenaline development. The longevity and sillage are very good. For the price of 15 euros that’s a winner: modern and tasty. Synthetic, but there are tons of synthetic fragrances that cost 5 times more.
I highly recommend Adrenaline for young audience whether they like Enrique music or not.

Seeing no-one has actually reviewed this one I thought I’d step up to the plate. The bottle looks as good as it does in the photos – nice and heavy as well. Unfortunately, the juice doesn’t live up to the bottle. It’s a really standard Beckham style fragrance (Beckham Instinct Intense to be exact), with a little bit more pepper thrown in. Longevity is good – about 6 hours – and projection is moderate. I just can’t imagine anyone really loving this. It’s just so ordinary.

I don’t know about you but I love my Tonka Beans “fried”! how cliché is that? And then I stirred in my Tabasco and some diced jalapenos. Did some flour tortillas and apply to your face. Yummy! Does anybody else find it just a little coincidental that is fragrances going to launch very closely to his new album?
Some people should just be left to their real skills. Fried Tonka beans?? That wins.
