Just got this as a blind buy, and it smells a lot like ADG but more floral? I can’t tell what it is but it’s really good and I’m happy with it:). I really like it when it dies down!

This fragrance is a great cheapie but goodie. It has a nice melon scent from start to finish. It doesn’t change that much throughout its life cycle. Very mellow and smooth. It performs really really well and if you see it in an outlet. Buy it. The second best MJ fragrance!

An excellent fragrance for only $12! I definitely like the AdG vibe, and I love the watermelon note. I wish I had picked up this gem years ago and I would highly recommend giving it a whirl.
Update: I’m getting 8+ hours with 4-5 sprays. I’m very happy with this blind buy.

Michael Jordan 23 is a cheapie gem. Whether you get a 1.7oz/50ml bottle for under $10 or a 3.4oz/100ml for under $18, you are in for a treat. This aromatic celebrity fragrance is actually good. It bears similarities to Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio. It is mostly the same just simplified with watermelon, a note Acqua di Gio does not have.
That said it is kind of a flat clean aquatic. Imagine Acqua di Gio but super linear. That said it lasts about five hours total with a light but moderate projection for 30 minutes to an hour. Then again, for a fragrance that costs under $18 for a 100ml and smells like Acqua do Gio, why complain?
Now if you want spicier clones to Acqua di Gio, this is not your pick and I would go with Perry Ellis 360 Red for men or Paris Hilton Just Me for men. Though if you want a simple dumb reach for work, casual wear, the gym, after gym or vacation, look no further. For this, I rate this fragrance an 8 out of 10.

This is a great fresh cologne in the vein of Aqua Di Gio for $10 and the best part is it doesn’t smell synthetic. It is a great value and good for any age under 50. Go get it.

MJ 23 is so fresh, so vibrant, and so unique. Not just for teens as I’ve read from others. Longevity is great and dry down very pleasant. What you’re left with is a warm, subtle grapefruit / geranium very neat scent. I love it!

I like it because its not very expensive like most colognes, you can get a 3.4oz bottle for under $20, smells great, last long, girls love it!!! Cant go wrong with any of the MJs…however, 23 is my favorite from the collection!
Also I think its a great starter cologne for teenagers who have not worn cologne or those who dont know a whole lot about the fragrance world…I wear tons of cologne from Armani to MJ (From top end expensive to low end less expensive)and I have to say MJ is still in my top 10 colognes 🙂

Opens heavy on the grapefruit, but with other fruits trying to soften it.
In the end, the plum and cypress have this scent smelling alot like John Varvatos.
Only thing between the two that has me dislike this one and like JV is that the grapefruit is so strong, I hate grapefruit.

I first smelled this on a friend who got it for a gift, and he said it’s Michael Jordan (not knowing there were three) so I bought the 1st MJ in a 1/2 oz spray. Good but not this one…
When I first smelled this in the clearance section I thought AdG clone and quickly moved on, my mistake. Now I take paper strips and spray testers on them, put then in my shirt pocket and look around and shop letting the frags develop. If you do this don’t let them rub together it will contaminate the juices and make a foolish mistake. Experience is the best teacher…
Once I ordered this on-line after numerous reviews and note lists, I decided this must be the one my friend had on. (He moved away and we no longer are in touch.)It truly comes on very aquatic with the melon-citrus-currant accord but it is when you let it mature you get the symphony of florals and light green fig leaf dominated by a soapy dry geranium note. The drydown is slow and light and the sweet honey herbal kiss in the base mellows the sandal-musk finish used in SO MANY scents.
Sillage: moderate
Longevity: good
Overall: 3.75/5
Although at first it comes on like AdG it is nowhere near as sharp and in your face and it does not last as long or remain aquatic. This is a sweet dry manly floral woody semi-acquatic; great for dates and fun times.

MJ 23 is a nice, smooth floral-fruity fragrance ,especially for the summer days but wearable in any season.
I think this is the BEST masculine scent with magnolia-geranium combo and the next best floral for men ( the 1st was Givenchy Insense in my opinion and MJ 23 really remembers me Insense because of the dominant flower notes).
Very comfortable to wear, I absolutely love it!
It’s EDC but longevity and sillage is better than an EDT.
Great fragrance , try it despite the ugly bottle!:)
