Description

100 Tweeds was intended in part to evoke bucolic memories of perfumer, Christian Rosenkreuz’ Bavarian study. With windows open to receive fresh heather and bitter herbs from the verdant splendour that is the end of summer, the aroma of his musty volumes of yellowed parchment and rich sweet tobacco notes from the humidor brought that time to life for Rosenkruez. Transported by the fragrance, Rosenkreuz could visit his study when the nights had become crisp and he would seek the warmth and comfort of his favorite tweed, settle into his over-sized wing chair that smelled of ancient woods and peat, and lose himself to the scent of paper, ink and vellum that lifted from the book on his lap by the crackling hearth.”

100 Tweeds is an Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men and women, available as 50 ml and 30 ml eau de parfum. It features main accords of heather and heath; bracken, lichen and moss; honey and balsam; and peat, mordent and musk. Christian Rosenkreuz is a fictional alter ego of artist and perfumer Stephen Dirkes.

The complete list of notes consists of Lavender, Iris, Acacia Mimosa, Clary Sage, Rosewood, Katrafay, Galbanum, Calamus, Hyssop, Hemlock, Ivy, Oregano, Black Pepper, Celery Seed, Parsley Seed, Myrrh, Wormwood, Green Yarrow, Ajowan, Oakmoss, Labdanum, Sweet Tobacco, Berry, Honey, Hay, Coumarin, Guaiacwood, Cabreuva, White Agarwood, Himalayan Cedar, Amyris, Tolu Balsam, Peru Balsam, Vanilla, Benzoin, Vetiver, Peat, Cypriol, Cade, Orris Root, Castoreum, Indole and Musk.

100 Tweeds was launched in 2015.

Shout out to Jrmcquill as I went to summer camp in southeast Michigan, which makes it a small-ish world.
I’m female and think this works well as unisex.
Maybe it’s because I’m new to indie perfumers as of now, but one of the most stand out features of this scent is how I’ll be sitting, walking, whatever, just doing my thing when bursts of concentrated scent will explode into my awareness. What’s even more intoxicating is that given that there are so many different notes and since it’s not based on the typical pyramid, each time it’s a wholly new composition to my nose.
I think a person could make a compelling argument for it smelling like camp, the mountains, a conservatory, or a library with a guy wearing said tweed jacket. This fragrance has many facets. I didn’t know beforehand if I would mesh well with such bold earthiness… well I do!

DAMN… this house is quit impressive! Animalic at max sweetened with honey cranberries mixage, then struck again with harshly animalic notes of tobacco, peat, orris roots, and musc, then sweetisizes with vanilla, then struck it with the 2nd round of agarwood and guaiac wood!
This juice is harsh and SUPER charm animalic, blended in quality with passion. quite impressive.

This evokes memories of summer camp in southwest Michigan! Not something I’d wear in the summer, but one of the most “comfortable” scents I have encountered. This to me is a conifer, incense and woodsy fragrance. Not as much tweed jacket and study, but more mountain retreat great room. Maybe even dune grass? There are far too many ingredients on this pyramid, but they blend together very well! My first opportunity to sample Euphorium Brooklyn, and I am quite impressed! Not for everyone, and certainly a sample first. Excellent juice, and a double thumbs up! Received two compliments the day I wore this…from females. This is masculine in nature.
